Police reports indicate whatever item the male suspect threw was unfortunately never located. the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office in Fatty gets gets away. He It actually Dude, what's crazy is that it worked. Like he actually hit the NAT 20. They couldn't find the drugs. Florida posted on Facebook about this incident, stating, "If you choose to run, you'll just go to jail tired. And criminals can run, but they can't hide from our horsepower." They also showed their appreciation for the multiple horses involved in the incident. Nash, Jax, Judge, and Duke. The male suspect, Jordan, was charged with resisting without violence. He pleaded no contest and was adjudicated guilty. He was ordered to pay $33 in court costs and fines and was released back into the public. The female suspect, Alexis, was charged with use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia for the crackpipe that was found in her pocket. She took a plea deal, pleading no contest in exchange for her charge, resulting in a withhold of adjudication, meaning the judge accepted her plea, but did not formally convict her. She was also ordered to pay $33 in court costs and fines and was released back into the public. Honestly, I had to laugh a little bit watching this one back because somewhere along the line, this guy convinced himself that he could outrun a police horse. So, most people don't know is that mount patrol horse shouldn't even outrun anybody. Just aren't as picked because they're big. A lot of horses never make it through training. They have to handle crowds, traffic, fireworks, yelling, and enough distractions to test just about any animal. That's what makes mounted units interesting to me because they're not there for looks. They're there because they give officers a different perspective, a different reach, and sometimes a pretty big advantage. People spend so much time looking for the obvious way out. They never stop to think about the problems they didn't plan for. It makes me so mad, bro. It makes me so mad whenever I hear that they get out. I get so mad, bro.
