Don't build a product. Build the buying signal first. If I was doing this properly, I test three things before wasting anyone's time creating the whole thing. First, pain. You need to confirm the audience has a problem they already care about. Not a that sounds interesting problem.
A, I've been trying to fix this problem. Second, intent. You need to see if they already asked for help. comments, DMs, replies, story interactions, repeated questions. Third, willingness to act. So the real validation sequence is talk to the creator, identify the biggest recurring pain, package a simple promise, test it with post stories or weight list, watch for response strength, not venny metrics. And once again, this is the whole model that I would teach of, hey, rather than creating a product about something you don't know if people want, instead get confirmation from their audience first before you actually invest some time into.

So honesty, character. Now, Iman, what would you say? I mean, you've hired how many people do you think you've hired? Probably hundreds. over hundreds, right? What would you say is a great uh characteristic you would look for in a great employee? Proactivity. Being proactive. Proactivity. Okay. Being proactive. I love that one. Proactive. Okay. Proactive. Without even talking about the job or what creativity means, he said you're hired. Now, guys, think about this. What about a mother? What about a brother? What about a president of a nation? See, you answered yes to all these because what what I'm really hearing from you guys that is if you have these qualities, you can be successful at anything in life. Now, the majority of the things on this board, are they attitude or are they skills? They are attitude. Attitude. You see in life you can succeed at anything with 90% attitude and 10% skill. I believe that's like zero or something. It was cold. You could spit on the ground and within a few seconds it would turn to ice. It was that cold. And our furnace went out. we were freezing, literally freezing to death. So, I call my landlord and I say, "Hey, man. Uh, you got to fix this." Now, here's the problem. It was a Friday. It was Christmas weekend. So, he tells me, "I'm sorry, Dan. Uh, I I I can't fix it. I'm I'm out with family. Look, you fix it and you take it off the rent next month.
Just give me the receipt." Here's the problem, though. It was $300 to get an emergency guy to come out and fix that furnace. I only had $100 in my bank account. So, instead of actually fixing it, what I had to do was I had to go to Walmart with my $100 and I had to buy four space heaters. Now, I'm not talking about the ones that blow air. I'm talking about the ones that just radiate air. They were cheap. They were 25 bucks. And we made a square out of these space heaters. And we had to huddle in.
Okay, here's us. these two humans. We had to huddle in to this square to keep warm under the blankets all weekend just to survive. And on top of it, because all four of these were plugged into one electric socket, the breaker kept flipping every hour. So, not only did did we spend our Christmas weekend sitting in this square trying to survive the cold, but we had to get up, wake up, and go to the breaker every hour and flip it so that it would turn back on. Now, here's where the story gets crazy. Have Have any of you Let let me know in the chat.
Uh, have any of you ever had one of those days where you said, "You know what? I'm sick and tired of my life and today is the day I make a change. Today is the day I do things differently. I become a different person and I'm going to take control of my life." Well, that day came and it was very shortly after that experience. all we we literally almost froze to death because I I didn't have 300 bucks. 300 bucks. So about two weeks later, my girlfriend goes away for a week with her family. They had a wedding.
Her cousin was getting married or something. So she's at the wedding and while she's gone, I'm like, I'm I'm I'm this is it. I'm going to turn my life around. I call her because I was so excited. I found this job. It was a sales job. It started at $50,000 a year, which for me was a lot of money. I mean, I was making three to 500 bucks a week delivering pizza. And I call her up and I was so excited. I'm like, "This is it. This is it, baby. I'm going to turn it around." She says, "Dan, I need to talk to you." She says, "Listen, while I was uh while I was at this wedding, I met another guy.
He has a great job and um I just I just don't see you going anywhere, and I'm I'm leaving." Literally, we were living together for a year and she just ups, boom, leaves. Now, at the time, I thought she was a horrible person for that. But looking back at it, I think, you know, man, if I was a girl and my guy was a loser, well, I I I probably would do the same thing. And so, I don't really blame her. But here's the thing. She bet on who I was. I bet on who I was becoming because years later, I became a millionaire from the digital product industry.
Becoming always wins. Type becoming in the chat if you are ready to become a better version of yourself, the rich version of yourself. Now, here's what's funny about this. Um, years later, this was a couple years ago, I get a message. It's from her and she says, "Dan, uh, listen, my husband," she actually married the guy. "My husband lost his job. Uh, we're we're kind of rough right now. I see you're doing well. I was I was wondering if you could help us out." Now, I'm not going to tell you whether or not I did, but let me just tell you, listen, there is no greater way to win than to just get results.
to just show people through hardcore proof that you did what you say you were going to do. I became a person. And this is why I believe in second chances, guys. No matter how much you have messed up in your life, there is always an opportunity for a second chance. And I bet on me to take advantage of that second chance. Now, look, if you guys have a better breakup story than that, you let me know in the chat. I want to hear it. Okay? that that's I mean I feel like I got the best one, but I'm always open to be beat.
Okay. All right. So, now after she left, let's talk about that sales job. The guy who owned the company was a billionaire. His name was Jeff. Now, I know he's a billionaire because if you guys have ever been in I don't know if if anybody here has been to a an American uh grocery store, but have you ever seen the guys that do the the the Ginsu knife demonstrations and they do the blenders and they do kind of like a cooking show and then they sell you this this product or this blender and then you see the guys on TV, right?
You see the the the guys selling home wares and stuff on TV and they're like, "Oh, Shamwl Wow." And you know, they're called Pitchmen, right? Well, this was the company where these guys got their training. And the guys that did great, they went and they became TV guys, but the mediocre guys like myself, we just got stuck in grocery stores. Now, one day, uh, he very, by the way, this guy, not all rich people are are terrible because this guy was amazing. All right, he sometimes would do these field trips. He took all the sales guys to his house one time, 17-bedroom house.
He had an artist there that he paid a million dollars to live there for a month and paint a mural on his wall. And while we were there, he he point he he was a little braggy. He points over and he says, "You know whose house that is? Two houses away. Oprah's house." This was in Boon Beach, Florida. Now, here is where I got my first lesson on having a million-doll attitude. You see, Jeff, every single day he would cater lunch for the entire company, hundreds of people, big 15,000 square foot facility, and we'd all sit down and every day he would sit with one of us to have lunch.
He wouldn't go in his office, he'd sit with us. And one day he sat next to me. Now guys, if you could sit next to a billionaire, would you want to ask him some questions? I imagine you would. And so did I. Unfortunately, I ask him the dumbest question that popped into my mind. I go, I go, "Hey, Jeff. Uh, uh, Jeff, can I ask you a question?" And he's got his fork, right? And he, he very nice man. He puts his fork down. He goes, "Sure." And I said, "Uh, Jeff, how do I get rich?" And it's like the dumbest, most stupid question.
Like, how do I get rich? Right? And he goes, "Don't worry about that. I'm no really, Jeff. How do I get rich? I want to learn. And he goes, "Okay." And he looks at me and he gets real serious. And he says, "How many books have you read this week on business, money, finance, persuasion? How many have you read?" And I go, "Well, none." And he goes, "How many books have you read this week, this month?" I go, "This month?" None. He goes, "How many books have you read this year?" I said, "None." He says, "How much money have you lost trying to start a business?" I said, "None." He says, "Well, then you don't want to get rich." I said, "No, no, Jeff.
Everybody wants to get rich." Really? And he said, "No, no, no, no, no. People that want to get rich read books about how to get rich. You don't. So, stop wasting my time." Now, this was a man that was the kindest soul I had ever met. And I thought he was a jerk at that moment. But looking back, I realized that was the most compassionate thing he could have done. He showed me one principle, one principle that I have carried with me and has made me so successful. And that is this. You do not get what you want, you get what you are.
I thought I wanted to get rich, but I wasn't a person that really wanted it because I wasn't doing the things. Listen, 99% of people, they don't have the money they want. They don't. How many of you here want to be 1enters? You want to be the 1% that actually makes the money you want to make? Type 1% in the chat if that's you. You see, you cannot be the 1% if you think, act, and behave like the 99. Now, that right there was my very first lesson. Look, have any of you ever seen a human give birth to a giraffe?
No. Why not? Because giraffes give birth to giraffes. Have you ever seen a millionaire who didn't believe in himself? Have you ever seen a millionaire who constantly procrastinated? Have you ever seen a millionaire who found more reasons to fail than he did to succeed? No. Because you don't get what you want, you get what you are. Type that in the chat. It's a longer sentence. I want you to take the time to chat to to type it. You get what you are. Burn that into your brain. If there's one thing I can convey to you, going from a freaking pizza boy to a multi-millionaire living in Dubai.

I delivered pizza for seven years. I struggled to believe in myself for most of my life and today I have this. I'm not telling you this to brag. I'm telling you this because I am proof. The 9010 is real. So think about this guys. If you had a friend who constantly was late, who constantly promised and said he would do something for you, but he didn't. He constantly went back on his word. Would you trust him? Would you trust that friend? Yes or no? Yes or no in the chat. Would you trust that friend? No.
Of course you wouldn't. Well, here's what you got to realize. How many times have you said, "This is your year." How many times have you said, "This is the day that you make a change." How many times have you said, "I'm going to take action today. I'm going to get over my fear. I'm going to invest in myself. I'm going to invest my time. And I'm going to make a real goal. I'm going to bet on myself. How many times have you said that and you haven't done it? You see, the truth is if you keep making promises to yourself and you break them, you will end up not trusting yourself.
So the next promise you make, you're even more likely to not keep it. And the next one and the next one, until you break the cycle, until you have the balls to say, you know what? Today is different. Today I'm going to find more reasons to believe in myself than to believe in my limitations. Because that's what happened to me. My whole life I thought I was limited. I looked young for my whole life. Unfortunately, age caught up with me. But I owned a restaurant when I was younger. I was like 25 years old. I looked like I was 12.
Nobody took me seriously. I did not let that stop me from I I did not let that limitation stop me. Everybody thinks they have a limitation. The truth is you need to believe more in yourself than what you think limits you. And the only difference between poor Dan, the pizza delivery Dan, and the millionaire Dubai Dan, is that is the amount of belief I had in myself versus what I thought I couldn't do. I got some cool stuff for you. I'm going to teach you a little thing. Uh, well, I'm going to teach it to you in a minute because I know you guys are most of you guys are brand new in digital products and I'm going to teach you something.
