JackFrags dives into Battlefield 6’s new maps—Goldwood Railway and Cairo Bazaar—calling out big vehicle battles, a redesigned train objective, and a strong lineup of mid-season weapons.

Summary

In this 20-minute session, JackFrags explores Battlefield 6’s fresh map design and weapon sandbox with a focus on Goldwood Railway and Cairo Bazaar (Grand Bazaar in BF6). He highlights a vastly expanded train objective on the railway map, describing how players can run along the length of the train and use new cover to outplay enemies. The action shifts between high-speed vehicle play and long-range sniping, with the L115 sniper rifle earning praise for its feel and a zipline giving cheeky cross-map rotations. On the infantry side, he experiments with the M16 A4—enjoying its default burst fire while noting how the full-auto attachment could change the weapon’s use. The RPK is tested for lower recoil and longer-range viability, while the M16’s burst mode is celebrated as surprisingly viable. Cairo Bazaar (Grand Bazaar) is presented as a tighter, more infantry-focused map with a central objective and multiple rooms to contest, plus a glimpse at the mid-season PP19 weapon. Jack also flags Easter eggs and nods to BF4-era references, such as the 2014 Peekaboo tank and a mysterious, collectible dog tag on the map. He closes with practical impressions on the overall sandbox feel, vehicle balance, and the ongoing roadmap for Season 1 content like Tactical Obliteration and new attachments. Overall, the session paints a positive early picture for BF6’s balance and map variety, while acknowledging patch notes and live-economy tweaks yet to come.

Key Takeaways

  • Goldwood Railway features a significantly larger train objective that players can traverse and influence from multiple angles, enhancing large-map tempo.
  • The L115 sniper rifle is showcased as a standout long-range option, with excellent sightlines and a satisfying verticality thanks to elevated sniping spots and a visible zipline shortcut.
  • The M16 A4 is effective in burst fire by default, with Jack praising the burst behavior as surprisingly solid for a Battlefield title.
  • The RPK shows potential with low recoil and strong long-range beamer characteristics, suggesting it will excel in mid-to-long engagements with the right attachments.
  • Cairo Bazaar (Grand Bazaar) offers a more infantry-centric experience with a tight central objective and indoor-outdoor mix, complemented by upcoming additions like the PP19 mid-season.
  • Season 1 introduces Tactical Obliteration and an adjusted two-bomb variant, promising faster, tighter gameplay loops compared to BF4-era modes.
  • Easter eggs and map details (e.g., the BF4 Peekaboo reference and the collectible dog tag) hint at a richer world-building layer beyond core gameplay.

I'm going to have to try, aren't I? Let's put all four explosives on. That looks good, right? Can I find an anti-air vehicle? Let's have a look. There's one in between A and B. Okay, that's the target. Let's go. There he is. He doesn't have a clue. This guy. As long as he doesn't move now, I've got him. Come on. Yes. Just like the olden days. Adam and Tommy are in this attack helicopter. Come on. Yes. Hello, Jack. I made it. I did a navy around there. Oh, sorry. The bright raven. Oh god. Sorry. I'm going to go for this one as well. Back to back. But he's tricky. Come on. Yes. I got another one. All right. Welcome to Goldwood Railway. And just look at all of these vehicles here. Look at that. Isn't that a beautiful sight? Get in there, lads. So, this is the train. It's like a lot bigger now. Look at the size of this. Huge. And because we've got it, it's going towards their HQ. They've changed how it works. But you can run all the way down it. This is this M on the train. Come on. Oh. Oh, that is cinema. Pure cinema. Look at all these poppies here. Looks great. The colors on this map are brilliant. It really pops. And this is the L115 sniper rifle. Iconic. Rate of fire is quick. They put a zip line here. That'll take you all the way over. Quick way to cross the big gap there. Get to the top of the map. Oh, feels good. Yeah, this area is a lot more built up now. Way more cover. Oh no. Got him. Check this out. I've been exploring the map a bit and to the northeast of E in the middle of nowhere, there's this old destroyed tank and on top of it there is a shiny dog tag. Look at that. I can't pick it up. I can't interact with it or anything. That's got to be something that you can collect in the future. Right now, this tank also says 2014 Peekaboo on it. And I think this is a reference to a viral video clip called Peekaboo from BF4, a guy called Pony Lion, but he's roughly in this spot and he launches a tank in the air and shoots down a jet. It's insane. And then when the tank came back to Earth, they exploded in this position. So, it's like it's still there all these years later. That's a really cool Easter egg. While I was editing, I just zoomed in on the dog tag to see what it said, and I'm pretty sure it's just the default John Doe dog tag, but I definitely think you can pick that up at some point. Maybe a mission or a challenge. This is the M16 A4, one of the other new guns. It's burst fire by default, but it does have a full auto attachment here that you can use to turn it into the A3. I'm going to try the burst fire mode first, though. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Nah. Okay. Maybe I get this guy. Oh, the other guy. Okay, they've actually made a good burst fire rifle in a Battlefield game. I don't believe it. Oh, it's good. Oh, it's really good. Go on, jump. I dare you. Oh, nailed it. This L115 is sick, man. What are they doing up there? You can get How do you get up there? I need to go up there. Oh, look. There's a zipline. That's cheeky. Beautiful sniper spot. This you can see down to the factory. Hey, I found the light. Ow. It's just rude, isn't it? Oh, I've fallen off. Wait, that's an enemy. Oo. Right. That was so lucky. What the hell? Enemy helicopter. Uh-oh. It's Tommy. I'm jumping off. That's the new power station there. I get the jet. Oh, hello. Look at this cheeky little chappie up there. This is going to be a really good map for longrange sniping. This is the other new gun here, the RPK. Fudge. This seems like it's got really low recoil but lower damage. I think that's the vibe. Bit of a long range beamer. Yeah, I think I stand on what I said earlier. Might be really good in red sec this or like long ranges. Where is this guy? got the movement. I mean, it barely moves. That guy must have been lower HP there. Look, it just doesn't it doesn't really move much at all. I'm going to test how far away I can fly off in the jet. How long can I go for? I mean, I'm pretty far away there. Look at that. Now we're talking dice, but I'm miles away. There we go. We hit the flight range about there. That's far away. Look, I've got a nice overview of the battlefield here. The drops of bombs, some missiles, time to assess and line things up a bit. Feels fun to just fly around in a big map and not be constantly told to turn back cuz you're out of bounds. There's a weird fire on them. Maybe that's a yeti. I need to look for the Yeti. But just to give you guys a bit of context, if you haven't played Battlefield 4, in that game on this map, GMO Railway, there's a certain position you can stand next to a rock. And if you look at a mountain, when you're in that position, you see a glowing light. And if you shoot that light with the rocket, you hear a yeti do a massive roar. And I think the whole server could hear it. The map has changed a bit, though. These mountains weren't here previously. So, I'm looking for the rock. It should be like around there somewhere, I think, from memory. Yeah, maybe. No. I mean, it could be that rock down there. It's a bit different. Maybe this rock. It's a lot smaller, though. Yeah, the mountains are in a completely different spot. I mean, they could have moved it. It could be up there now. Surely they wouldn't put it in the same spot. I'll find you, Yeti. I don't know where you are. I love this decoration, man. So cool. They've absolutely cooked with this map. Really good. Well, come pick me up and we'll test how good the buff is with the transport helicopter. You reckon under the bridge? Yeah, very good. I'm going to go for a diving run here on D. You're on the right. Yeah, on the right. Here we go. Let's give it a shot then. Light them up. I got one. Light them up, dude. I can't compete. Triple kill. The gun is a lot more accurate now. They're on there. Yeah, there's one, baby. Nice on the hill here. They had the beam. Beautiful. This is giving me BF2 vibes. Oh, helicopter. Enemy helicopter going for him. Nice. He done. Oh, well, at least had a bad day. helicopter. I got sniped. You're kidding. I got it. I saved it. I saved it. Snipe me out. The sad gujon. We're going to see switch. Suck on this. Yes. Oh my god. You got a quad kill. There's the goo. There's the goose in the street. That's the googe. And the goose down. That's grizzle. The goo is there as well. That's the googe. Oh yeah. Get that goo. He's Jonathan. Guon killed me. Well, what is going on? Getting absolutely ruined. That's what's going on. They're spawning on. You take over. Go. Roger. Roger. Roger. Oh. Oh, he's gone. That didn't work out. Little bird. That's bad news. Oh, he flew into you. You got him. You killed him. Oh, look at that. Look at that. Never in doubt. I'll rub it. Yeah, I definitely know what happened there. What is going on? Well, he just kamicazi straight and I'm fine. I'm made of stronger stuff. How is this helicopter still alive, man? I know. He said rolling the jump. It served us very well. Okay, ready? Go. Left side, baby. Left side again. Extreme height. People say, "Oh, Will, don't go really high. They'll guided missile you." He's sniping. That's the googe. That's the gu. That's sad guge on me. He's been ruining me. I don't want him to snipe me, bro. Play good, players. Yeah. Yeah. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. He's going to hit it. I see him. Get the Guj on down. Oh, yeah. Someone is locking us. That's the ground. Drop it low. Dropping it low, mate. Yeah, it's just to avoid the lock there. Mhm. We'll count this. Oh, he's going down like a sweet muffin. Yeah, he's down. He's out there. Is that the jet? That's a lot of pain. Jump, jump, jump. Oh, I'm very dead. That was a great run. Oh, they're on it. Try that. Oh, ruined. Nice. He's dead ahead. Pop up in the bush. All right, mate. It's very unfortunate there. Do you think he expected that? I don't think so. I mean, surely it was quite evident we were there. Helicopter hit low and slow right now. Engage. Go on. Oh, botched him. That works. Perfect. Use the environment to your advantage. Bye-bye. Ow. Is that the Guj? That's fine. Somehow he's not dead. We're going in. I mean, IT'S THE GUJON. The Gojon and his revenge. You're not going to get away. Oh, he's gone. Hello, boys. Oh my god. Yes. Yes. This is a proper vehicle map. This buff tanks as well, and they definitely feel a lot better. They increase the health and also the maneuverability or something. Can't get disabled as easily too from rockets and stuff. You want some, mate? Come on. I'll give it you. Enemy. I got you now. Missed. Proper tank battles. I love it. Oh, he's on the zip. Oh, they're on the train as well. I feel strong in this. You need to test if you can destroy the bridge. There was that shot in the trailer, wasn't there? O, that's just rude. I'm testing if I can destroy the bridge on the marked. Don't do that. We're not going to beat this. Hands down. Another one. Nice try. Yeah, I don't think you can blow the bridge up. Maybe you need more firepower. It's an S. What does it mean? Easter egg or something. Hit him behind it. Find all the letters. Spell out sule. That's not a thing. Get in behind here. Maybe knock that down. Easter egg. Nothing. Home. Sweet home. I guess this was a unit's temporary digs or something. There's way more cover Careful. You coming in? I'm going to hold up here. Woo! That was a bit crazy. I'm just going to wait. Our forces are attacking. This M16 is crack, man. That's really good. That's going to be ridiculous on controller. Look at this up here. All the way up the north of the map, there's this big area. I think this is going to be used for breakthrough maybe or other game modes. All the way up It's got to be. They wouldn't just put this here cuz there's no flag here. There's a Why is there a vehicle there? Hey, it's a golf cart. Let's go. Just in time. Right before the round ends as well. Excellent. There's a lot of Easter eggs on this map so far. That was Gourmet Railway. Now we're going to look at Grand Bazaar. In this game, it's called Cairo Bazaar. So, I didn't get to play this map in the preview event, but what you're seeing here is B-roll that they gave to us. And I've not seen this yet. I'm literally watching this for the first time. So, this is cool. I thought I saw the new gun there as well that's coming mid-season. The PP19. Is the Vyas or something? Right. Okay. So, this is the central objective. See, it definitely looks a lot tighter that than the BF3 map cuz it was open, wasn't it, in BF3. Just look at this. I can't wait to play this map in BF6. It's one of my favorite BF3 maps. Such a good infantry map. You got the jeeps as well, I think. Love the vibe. Nice sniper shot. That's the new gun. Okay, sounds good. So, the L115, the M16 A4, and the RPK are coming at the start of the season this week, but the PP19 is coming mid-season, I think. There's a load of new attachments as well. They did this massive blog the other day with a ton of patch notes in. This looks good. kind of like a I wouldn't say nighttime, but maybe like a dusk setting. It certainly doesn't have the blue filter of BF3. Tactical obliteration. Yeah. So, obliteration's coming to So, this is the small variant of it. I think it's going to be on GMOD as well, but GMD had three bombs cuz it was big obliteration. And it looks like based on this, the tactical obliteration is going to have two bombs. So, it might be a bit quicker, more intense. Almost ready for pick up. Dude, the map looks the same size here. Perception in my mind's eye of how big Grand Bazaar is, but that is definitely different. The middle flag that's blocked off on the left. I'm sure you could go into more of these rooms on the right or left in that central objective. There's the RPK. The smoke has turned pink. That's interesting. It's cuz that pink room on the right. Maybe enemy picked up a bomb. They're going to have to take that bomb to one of the MCOMs. It's like an attack and defend game mode. This if you've never played it, I liked it in BF4, but it wasn't a fan favorite. Nice. Rose, let's switch perspectives there. That was cool. Retrieve the bomb on the right hand side there. They've got to pick it up. They've got it. You can hear it beeping. We need vehicle support. Oh, there's the LV. So, how it worked in BF4 from memory, I think if you've got the bomb, the enemy can see where you are. It pings every few seconds. It used to be real time and then they patched it. I think this was so long ago. 13 years ago now. Damn. Last time I played this game mode 13 years ago. Jeez. Bomb available. Detonating. So if you hold on to it for too long, I think it just blows up. So you've got a limited time to get it to the MCOM. Unless they've changed it. It's going to be hectic. I didn't see how many players it was. Would it have been tactical obliteration? Maybe 32 instead of 64. I'm guessing that on the big maps it's going to be 64 players. And I don't know if it's going to be on the other maps in the game either. I know it's on gold mode, but I don't know about the vanilla maps or additional maps that were added. There you go. So, he's arming it. Got it. And now they've got to stop them diffusing it. Full auto M16 there. I did try that a bit on Gwood, but the burst variant was so good. Maybe there's some crazy setup you could make with the full auto variant, too. They're still defending it. Oh, got wrecked. They're all getting wrecked. This dude with a shotgun, the ghost tester. He's coming in. They've not diffused it, though. I think they're going to get it. LA support. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he's parked that right on top. L's got a nice load out for anti- infantry, too. Going to be farming. And surely that's going to blow. And they win. That's it. GG. Yeah, Grandma Bazar looks fun. I thought I'd do a little outro as well, just to summarize. So, Gome, I played it for around, I don't know, 2 hours or so, and we tried Conquest Escalation. Really good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It does actually feel like a classic Battlefield sandbox map, and we definitely need that in BF6. So, hats off to Battlefield for this one. I think they've actually delivered there. Yeah, it's a remake, but I do feel like they've stepped it up and made some big improvements over the original with the cover, new capture point. It's just fun. Really fun. Big sandbox map. Enjoyed it a lot. I like the new guns, too. Although the RPK just felt a bit vanilla, I suppose. Maybe with different attachments, you could make it really good. Grand bazar, we just looked at that. That's coming next month. So, we're getting gold this month. Then pretty soon after bizarre as well. Great. Rank BR is coming to if you're into that. There's a whole road map they posted. I haven't done a video on that yet. I want to apologize as well. Last week there wasn't really many videos and that's because last weekend I was eating a chicken chowine and I bit my tongue really bad and that turned into a massive ulcer. There was a lot of the red stuff. I've never done anything like that before, but it happened and I had an ulcer for the entire week and it just made talking and eating and doing anything really painful. So, I couldn't really make videos. So, yeah, that's why there weren't many videos last week. But there you go. Anyways, I think they're off to a good start with this season. I've not played on the actual live game patch. I think they pushed one this morning, but I haven't had a chance to jump on that yet. So, they could still mess things up. You never know. But tomorrow, I'll be back on recording. I'm sure there'll be plenty more videos this week where I'm looking in more detail at the new guns, attachments, any new Easter eggs that are discovered, all that stuff. But with that said, let me know your thoughts below, guys. Thank you for watching. Really appreciate you being here. Drop a like if you enjoyed the video. Subscribe if you're new and I'll see you next time. Bye-bye. The hell. Did I get hit by Jack? What's he doing, bro? He jumped out. Yes. Okay, I'll get you. Beautiful work. That was interesting. You sure? I'm going for Will. Watch out. Watch out. WATCH OUT. WATCH OUT. Alpha is no longer active.
