Okay then. So, a couple weeks ago in Battlefield 6, the developers buffed the mortar, this thing here. Now, I haven't tried it since the update because I don't really use the mortar and I don't really play Breakthrough that much. And basically, they made it so you can deploy this now in deployment areas, if that makes sense. You'll know what I mean. Some people are very against this because they feel like it's kind of broken breakthrough in particular because people can just camp in their spawn, whatever. But on the other side of the coin, some people quite like it because they think that before the mortar was just completely useless.
So, I thought that we'd try it today and see how good is the buff. Is it overpowered? Can we get some kills with it? I don't know. Regardless, drop a like on the video, guys, and let's see what we can do with the mortar. Okay, there's actually somebody on the enemy team there mortaring. So, the way it works in this game is the more that you fire at the same position, we got to kill Lucas 1990, the first victim. The more that you fire at the same position, the more accurate it gets. So, I know there was a guy on the mini map around here.
Where are they going to be pushing from? Of course, I'm defending right now. Damage assist. They're pushing here by the looks of it. You see, I'm just using the mini map and that green circle there. If I aim again in that location, I'm going to get a more accurate shot. So, this shot here is not going to be accurate. But if I keep holding mouse one, you can hold mouse one, by the way. You don't have to keep clicking. Kind of like if you got a Hoover. Oh, hello. I have a Hoover and I have to constantly hold down the button.
We got another kill. Kane, there might be a couple more here. You know, a vacuum cleaner, by the way. That's what a Hoover is. I have a vacuum cleaner and I have to hold down the trigger on it to use it, but I don't like that cuz it hurts my finger. Projectile destroyed. What was that? Is that a vehicle? Yeah. I kind of wish that my vacuum cleaner had a lock on it so I could just lock it on. I got another kill. All right. I think I'm being counterwood here. I'm being sniped at definitely.

Before the update, I wouldn't have been able to put a motor down here, but now I can. Bag down. Yeah, if you play support and you take the fire support perk, you know, the training path, you get a much faster rate of fire with the mortar.
If there's a supply bag down next to you. That guy is hauling ass right now. How many kills do we have? Three. Enemy suppression. So, I know I'm in the right area. There's another one. I think I got that guy before, didn't I? And another one. Antony. Right. Okay. We're in a good position here. Keep firing here. If you think about it, even though I'm not getting a kill or even damaging with every shot, I'm forcing them to move because there's explosions landing next to them. Has this guy got an APS up? So, he's firing at me cuz I got projectile destroyed. I destroyed his Mo. He hit me. We traded. We actually traded. No way. Okay, that's what morton mortal violence looks like. So, first death there. We got six kills. Killed by another mortar. That's what they want though, don't they? That's what they want.
I should have moved after that first shot landed. Are they trying to snipe down onto the objective? Maybe trying to little flank it. Not on my watch. It's kind of like um blind boxes this, isn't it? Have you seen those blind boxes? I didn't realize how crazy those things had taken off recently. You buy a box and it's got some kind of a toy in it or a character. I've seen ones with League of Legends, Disney characters, Transformers, Teletubbies, but you buy like a series and then you get something from that series, but you don't know what you're going to get.

This is the fire support thing here, the training path. That's the one you want. If you're mortaring, use that. Don't use combat medic. And then there's the APS and the mortar, of course. But if I'm just putting shots here as well, all they can see as they're trying to retake it or stop us taking it is a constant sea of shots. I guess I'm moving. Someone's on to me. We took it. Nice. Seven kills already. There mortars. Look, they're talking about it in the chat. Mortars are unkillable now. I don't think that's true, but you you definitely need a concerted effort to take them out. You need to get on a mortar to take them out. Is it a good or a bad thing, though? You decide for me as long as it doesn't get to BF1 levels cuz that was insane.

Oh, they're just outside the building. They can defend this from the inside though, right? I feel like if this was accurate 100% of the time, like as soon as you fired, it would be horrible. Yeah, if it was 100% accurate straight away, I'd be like, "Nah, get out of the game." You know, not many people like playing like this, though.
I mean, I'm just doing this for a video. I wouldn't normally play Battlefield like this. I like, you know, using the guns and and getting in and destroying vehicles and stuff. But for the sake of a video, I mean, this is definitely interesting to test. Well, good try. Let's do it again in a few years. What was that when they finally decide to fix the game? Uh, the Battlefield 6 rug pull. Yeah, COD will beat him next year for real. I think this year, Budmeister, if MW4 is coming out, there's going to be a lot of hype for that.
Reboot the franchise and go back to more grounded stuff again. I can see him focusing a bit more on PvE though, maybe. And maybe larger maps, more sandbox gameplay. If it's a new engine, too, like the rumors are saying, and it's next gen, do you think they'll have caught up to Battlefield with the destruction stuff? Do they care? Oh, look at this. What's the point of mortal buff if they just made buff to most annoying thing in the game?

I mean, they should make mortars op at start attack. Didn't even get. It's not a mortar problem. Assault should assault. No one is pushing. Yeah, that's definitely a thing. I feel that. I think because the mortars are more effective now, maybe fewer people are going to be playing other roles. So before the people that were playing mortars, maybe they would have been pushing up with assault, but now they just sat at the back on a mortar.
If it becomes a real problem though, maybe they could make it so it's just got a really long cool down on it or something. I mean, so far it's not been that effective really at killing people, but the team haven't pushed. Maybe the reason that they haven't pushed though is because the enemy team have watering so much. Oh, hello. No, these are all inside. They're useless here, aren't I? Absolutely useless. Maybe hit the outside there. I think I've got the angle there. That might go down the side of the building. I'm just looking at the one in the 3D map there as well, like in the world.
You can see the line at the top. Would we have been able to get this B point though if I was actually playing with a a gun and pushing in? Maybe. I don't know. Oh, we got another kill. Nine. Not very effective though, is it there? It's just going to annoy people. There's no way they're pushing B, right? Absolutely no way. Not with any tickets. Oh, actually, they they're on it. They're capturing it. See, I could help here. Just put some random shots in. See if I get lucky. There's no way they're going to Oh, no.
They've been pushed off. Oh, unless my motors kill everyone right now. I think we're out of luck. Come on. Send them in now. GG. Yeah, it wasn't that effective to be honest there. Just going to be annoying for them, isn't it? Really? I feel like it can definitely stop people pushing in though. You know, like when I moved up to the left and all the guys were on that hill and all the mortars were coming in. Maybe the reason they weren't pushing, like I said, was because they were just being constantly barged by explosives. And I think when you're suppressed, too, you don't heal, right?
Even if there's a supply back next to you. Maybe it's just an issue in Breakthrough, too. I can't see it being effective at all in Conquest. Cuz people don't tend to clump up that much in Conquest, especially on the bigger maps anyway. I know that some people like playing mortar. That's fine. But me personally, it's not engaging at all. It doesn't activate any type of dopamine in my brain. You know, maybe it lights up a little bit when I get a triple kill, but outside of that, it's so few and far between that I just I'd rather be pushing into the objective.
Perhaps letting people use them in deployment zones, too, where they can't be killed outside of another mortar. I'm not really sure about that one.
