Welcome back to Star Wars Battlefront 2. It's May the 4th. You know I had to jump on and come and check it out again. There's a lot of people playing today. Perfect time to experience this incredible game again. And I was just thinking to myself before I loaded up, is this the best Star Wars video game? Is it? What do you think? Do you agree? Cuz I was thinking maybe it is. I was trying to put together, let's say the top five in my head and I would put this on [laughter] I would put this maybe one or two every time.
Cuz there's just something about this game. Every time you come back and play it, it delivers, man. It's so fun. What else would I put there? Hmm. Maybe Jedi Fallen Order. Maybe Jedi Survivor. I think both of those games are very good. There's a clanker here. I love that you move faster when you have this equipped. Can't you extend the duration as well by getting kills? I think you can. I'm going to fall back though there. So yeah, I'd put Jedi Fallen Order, Jedi Survivor. What else? Maybe yeah, Knights of the Old Republic. I think that's got to be there.
Perhaps even something like Oh my god. Jedi Outcast. Look at this guy. You guys remember Jedi Outcast? I mean that's going back a bit. Republic Commando as well. I mean that's a great single player. Rogue Squadron on the Nintendo 64. Oh my god. Any Any Rogue Squadron players out there? [laughter] Maybe if you asked 10 people who play video games and were Star Wars fans, what their favorite Star Wars game was? Perhaps. I don't know. What What do you reckon? Like six out of 10, seven out of 10 might say this? I don't know. Has there ever been a a survey or anything like that?
But Wow. What got me then? Look at this, the detail on the character models. The environments, the animations. Dice absolutely cooked with this. There's no doubt. They cooked. Yes, it had a Oh, maybe that's what got me. Yes, it had a terribly botched launch with the Can we get this? Yes. Assist. I'll take it. Yeah, with the loot crates. What are they called? Star crates or something? Absolutely terrible. I don't know what compelled them outside of money to make that terrible decision. But fair play to them. They removed them out of the game. And they flipped this around and they carried on updating it for free.
Which is amazing, really. There's a rolly boy there. Maybe it is the best. Oh no. Droideka. Obviously, we've got the Mandalorian and Grogu movie coming up soon, too. Which I'm quite excited for. I think maybe Star Wars movies, Avengers movies, and maybe Christopher Nolan. They're the only films that would actually get me to go to the cinema. Because that experience can be terrible. I'm going to sneak up on this guy. And expensive. Oh my god, I got it. Come on. Come on. Carry on the streak. No. He popped the shield. Damn it. See, I'm definitely excited for the new Mandalorian movie.
I've avoided most of the trailers. Obviously, I've watched the Mandalorian series. Another rolly boy. Yes. Oh, Anakin's up. Let's go. I've been watching the new Maul show as well, which is really good. I don't know like if there's Star Wars fans out there watching this that are like, "Yeah, I don't want to watch the animated stuff. It's It's for kids." It's not. It's really good. Especially Maul. It's good, man. I like it a lot. Lots of clankers here. Yeah, Sam Witwer does such a good job with Maul, too. And that's just remind me. Wee. Yeah, the Force Unleashed games, too.
They were good. Come here. Got him. Oosh. There it is. Come back. And I'm seeing the art behind me. I'm being flanked. Let's get in here. AH, HE GOT ME. Killed by a humble clanker. I don't know if you guys saw the Fortnite stuff, too, which is wild. I am so excited for that. I was thinking maybe I could do a separate video on that. But if you weren't in the loop, basically, Fortnite and Star Wars a couple days ago released all of the Star Wars assets for Fortnite Creative. And if you don't know what that is, basically, if you know how to use the Unreal Engine and the Fortnite Creative stuff, you can make pretty much anything that you want to.
There's all sorts of experiences on there from horror games to escape rooms to brain rot stuff, you know, anything. You can even do proper first-person modes in it. But they've let you use all the Star Wars assets now. And I'm talking like licensed characters, music, vehicles, maps, locations, names, all that stuff. And when they launched it, they made three, quote unquote, official experiences for it. And one of them is Battlefront, basically. Or like the spirit of Battlefront. It's on two maps right now. One which looks like Hoth, one which looks like a Star Destroyer. It's got three objectives.
It's got lots of different classes, heroes, villains. There's even a a meta game to it with best score and credits where you can upgrade your character and the skills of your character. It's really cool. All right, Felucia. Here we go. Yeah, I was saying about the Oh, look at the tank. Sick. Yeah, I was saying about the Fortnite experiences. Look at him go. Yeah, the second official one was Escape I don't know, scope. Escape Vader, it was called. And this was actually in first person, which is one of the reasons that I'm really excited about the the Fortnite stuff.
The Star Wars, anyway. And yeah, it's a co-op game. It's co-op. Four of you are on a transport ship. Or some kind of a station. I love sniping on this one. And you have to go into the ship and extract coaxium. But while you're trying to do it, Darth Vader is hunting you down and murdering you. We played it. It was uh me, Tommy, and Bong from the Two Angry Gamers. Yeah, it was it's pretty interesting. So you have to go in, you get the coaxium, and then you have to try and extract it. But Vader's hunting you.
And he's got a lightsaber, of course. So he could shoot you down. He uh force chokes you. And you're a lot slower. There's a lot of tension there. And if you get wiped, you fail. But the graphics on it were really good, too. They had all the lumen stuff that's in Unreal Engine 5. So it was very atmospheric. Oh, this will be a nice sniper spot up here. Down on that objective, look. Oh. And yeah, the third experience was called Droid Factory. Nice rolly polly. And Droid Factory was How would I describe it? You You have a base and then there's a conveyor belt of droids.
And you collect scrap and you try and collect all the droids, basically. Hold back. It's like Star Wars TCG. And you can send your droids on missions and Look at Grievous. Get in there, my man. You go for it. Yeah. That was like um full brain rot game, that one. Not for But I I get why some people would like it. Dude, this What? I didn't hit him. AH, I GOT HIS LEG. YEAH, this sniper is really good on Felucia. The thing that excites me the most about that though is that the community of people who create the experiences, I've only just got it.
And already, there's so many cool little game modes that you can play. One of them was a rogue light where you you team up and then you enter a room and there's a few enemies in there. You kill them. And then the next room opens up. But in between, you can pick a random gun or perk that appears on your screen. And then you move on to the next room. And then the next room. But it gets harder every single time. That was quite addictive. There was another one that was one v one me, bro, but Star Wars.
So there was a lobby area and you can one v one What the hell? What is that clone doing? You can one v one the AI and then go to the next level. And every time you get to the next level, you get points and you can upgrade your character. But if you lose, you go back to the lobby. I've been made in the chat. Another same mode in this game. Maybe I should type to this guy. May the 4th, innit? He'll understand. In that one v one mode, too, you can go up to any real player in the lobby and just hold E on them and one v one them or request a a one v one.
So we had uh We had Tommy, my mate, who was playing as Princess Leia fighting Bugs Bunny. Ooh. In a lightsaber duel. Can I beat this guy? No, I don't think so. I'm going to run away from that poor commando. Point is it's it's really impressive what people have Anakin. Hey. Oh, no. Anakin, don't ruin my kill streak. No, this won't protect me. Dodge. Okay, that's kill streak over. Yeah, just imagine what kind of experiences we're going to have in 6 months time when people have really gone in and crafted some in-depth gameplay with it.
It was Actually, there was another version of Battlefront that I played on it called Frontlines and that one wasn't official. But, it was on three different maps. I think it had Scarif, Hoth, and Tatooine. And I think the Hoth map was actually roughly based on the layout of one of the original Battlefront maps, which was pretty awesome. Need to use my shield more, don't I? Need to melee. Whack. Rude. But, that had classes and five objectives per map, you know, it had more objectives to play on. So, I'm just thinking in 6 months time the level of quality for what people are creating is going to be immense.
Oh, I like this little flank here. Yes. Oh, that was a double. How did I Oh, three. Wow. They're trying to take D here. I don't think I've really ever been to this side of the map. Bye-bye. Simon just got ruined. Yeah, rarely come down here. Oh, that ain't going to save you, Googie. That's a great name though, Googie. I like that. Anakin? Come on. Me and PAJAMAS ARE AT OH. NO. YEAH. He's ruining me. Damn it. Need to get to the boarding ships. Ah. Go away. Anakin's coming to get me again. I don't want to die at one No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Okay, we're fine. Yeah, right. I'm going to leave it there for today, folks. Thank you for watching. Game's absolutely banging still. If you have it, redownload it, play it. As I said, there's a lot of people on today, so good chance to find populated servers. I'm guessing it's pretty populated typically on console anyway, but love it to bits. Is it the best Star Wars game? Let me know in the comments below. Drop me a like. Subscribe if you're new here, and I'll see you next time. Bye-bye.
