The creator previews a live, free niche workshop and teases low-effort YouTube channels that earn more than typical jobs, promising actionable models and a success-focused approach.

Smart, low-effort niches can pay big: many creators monetize beyond ads with courses, memberships, and coaching—Shane Hummus breaks down real examples and a live niche workshop to get you started.

Summary

Shane Hummus walks through a roster of surprisingly low-effort YouTube channels that pull in real money, showing that success isn’t just about chasing views. He explains that revenue often comes from monetization beyond AdSense—think memberships, online courses, and niche products—using concrete examples from various creators. The sourdough channel, Northwest Sourdough, turns a passion into profit with baking courses and books, reportedly earning over $250,000 despite a modest subscriber count. Brick Technology proves you can make 9–28 thousand dollars monthly by creating simple Lego–related videos, while Mr. Kders the Cat demonstrates how a camera strapped to a pet and simple cuts can still yield tens of thousands monthly. Interactive Gallery reveals how still-shot art loops, used as screen savers, can generate 3–9 thousand dollars per month (with some estimates higher), thanks to volume and side links. Zach of All Trades showcases how deep domain experience (30 years in the trades) can translate into rapid YouTube growth, even for a non-techie creator. Richard Wall’s Career Coach and Ordinary Sausage illustrate how niche expertise and unusual angles within cooking or career advice can still command strong numbers. Throughout, Shane emphasizes the importance of choosing a sustainable niche early and leveraging live workshops and a niche validator AI to accelerate entry, monetize smarter, and avoid “just chasing views.” He even invites viewers to a free Zoom workshop and a coaching program, underscoring that YouTube success is as much about strategy as it is about content creation. The video blends case studies with practical takeaways, aiming to motivate viewers to find a niche they can monetize while offering a direct path to get started via his live training.

All right, guys. I've been in the kitchen again looking up some amazing YouTube niches for you to look into. And today, I've got some loweffort YouTube channels that make more than your job. Now, I'm going to be showing you these. Uh there's some amazing ones. There's some weird ones as well. You're probably going to be motivated, inspired, and most importantly, educated on what works and what doesn't work because most people who try to start YouTube fail like I did with my first five channels. And I don't want that to happen to you. which is why I help you to model success. And I even go beyond that. I'm doing a live one-time workshop. You can click the link in the description in the pin comment below to help you pick your niche or dial in the niche that you already have. That's the specialization of this workshop. That's what we're going to be focusing on. And this is the same workshop that Isaiah, for instance, attended and he was able to scale to 20 to $30,000 a month without ever even working with us beyond just watching our videos and attending this workshop. So, do not miss out on it. Click that link in the description pin comment below. It's completely free. Total no-brainer. Go ahead and do it. And with that being said, let's go ahead and jump into it right now with number one on the list, which is the baking network. Now, if you look at this channel, you would think, oh, they're only making $16 to $49 a month according to Vid IQ, and oh, they're only making $19 to $55 a month from AdSense according to view stats. So, Shane, why are you even showing me this channel? Well, this is one of the biggest lessons that I like to teach people is views do not necessarily equal money. In fact, there are big YouTubers out there like Boogie2988 that have 4 million subscribers or close to 4 million and they're pretty much broke. They're barely even making a full-time income from their channel. Now, basically, this channel is all about just baking sourdough, right? So, baking sourdough bread is my passion. I've been teaching sourdough bread baking for 14 years now. Most of my formulas are of the no need variety. Instead, I use a method of folding dough that is gentle on the dough and helps produce bread with a large holy crumb and a terrific taste. This channel was formerly known as Northwest Sourdough. Now, the cool thing is uh this particular channel also has a baking membership, a course, they've got books they're selling, and all kinds of other stuff like that. And that is how they are making their money, right? So, if you look up online, just do a little bit of research on this channel, you'll see how one woman earned over $250,000 selling sourdough baking courses online, right? So, you know that she's made over $250,000 from this channel, even though it has about 50,000 subscribers. And the coolest thing is she did it all just recording what she would have done anyways. Now, this would be the first shaping. I'll let it set a few minutes. That's the most interesting and the coolest thing. She's just recording what she would have done anyways, and she made a house worth of income doing that. So, don't judge a book by its cover. Just because channels aren't getting that many views does not mean they're not making money. You got to look into it much more deeply than that. And that's something that I really specialize in doing is not only getting views, right, cuz that's what everyone wants to get, but more importantly, setting your channel up for success when it comes to monetization so that it's sustainable. Because the truth is, as much as you enjoy making content, if you're not able to make a full-time income from it, it's going to become a chore that you don't get paid for, right? So, if you really enjoy something, but you can't make money from it, just keep it as a hobby. And that's something I really help people do is lock in their niche, not only on a personal level, uh, but also on a getting views level, like helping other people and on a actually monetizing their channel level. So, definitely attend the live workshop that I'm going to be doing on Zoom. It's going to be a live Zoom workshop. You can literally ask me questions and I'll answer them. All right, quick break right now. Sitting here with my brother Zach. He had never made a single YouTube video before in his life and he made $214 in a single day on YouTube. And I just wanted to let you know that this week we are hosting a free one-time live workshop. So, one thing that people struggle with the most is finding their niche. And that is why we actually created an AI called the niche validator that's going to help you find your niche or help you dial in your niche if you already have one. and we're going to be giving away this niche validator this week at a live workshop and it's called the YouTube content advantage for making money in 2026 and it's happening on April 12th, 2026. So, make sure you mark that down. And if you're struggling to find your niche or you don't want to commit months or even years to a niche that ends up not being profitable, then this is for you. So, click the link in the description in the pen comment below and once you register, hit add to calendar so it shows up on your Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar. And if for whatever reason you're watching this in the future, still check the link in the description in the pin comment below because we may be doing another live workshop in the future and it'll tell you when. Now, you'll also be able to ask me questions live. So, I look forward to meeting you and you'll also get an update on how this guy is doing on YouTube as well. So, see you this week and back to your regularly scheduled programming. All right, this next channel is absolutely wild. Brick Technology making about 9 to 28,000 a month. Now, that last channel we talked about with the sourdough was obviously loweffort because they're just doing what they were going to do anyways and recording it and then maybe doing a little bit of a voiceover. This channel is also quite loweffort just because of the fact that in many cases they're just playing with Legos. For instance, sinking Lego ships. They're basically just doing funny stuff playing with Legos and recording it and then posting it to YouTube. And they're making 9 to28,000 a month. Now, according to view stats, they're making about 7 to $15,000 a month. And that video on sinking Lego ships got 61 million views and made over $100,000. All right, next one is Mr. Kders the Cat. This channel is making 7 to $22,000 a month. And this might be one of the lowest effort channels I have ever seen in my life. They literally just strapped a camera to the cat, have the cat wander around the neighborhood, and just record the stuff that the cat sees, and then they just cut it up and put it on YouTube. Like, literally one of the lowest effort channels I have ever seen. And they're making 7 to $22,000 a month. Absolutely wild, right? So, most viewed video, a day in the life of cats, cat with cameras share their secret lives. And it got over a million views. Now, obviously, this is one of those channels where it's going to expand to other niches. You know, it's going to be a day in the life of a dog or the day in the life of a a wild mountain lion or the day in the life of a wild boar or something like that. Like, not giving you any ideas, by the way, but I'm just saying like obviously this is going to be a niche that expands to a lot of other things, but it's a very clever way of doing the one of the oldest niches on the internet, which is literally cat videos. Like that's one of the oldest and most viewed niches on the entire internet and it's a very clever way of doing that niche and they're making good money doing it. Like I I got to say the owner of this channel is a diabolical genius of laziness. Like whoever it is, I just got to just salute you. Uh whoever the owner of this channel is, I mean this is unbelievable levels of laziness that I aspire to, right? You know, because honestly laziness in some ways is smart because you're just being efficient with your time, you know? So, in many cases, laziness isn't actually laziness. It's just being really smart and efficient with your time. Right now, by the way, if you're watching this and you're like, "These are cool, but they're not really the niche that I want to do." Well, the live training we're doing this week is that's what we focus on is helping you find your niche. That's like one of the main things we do. And then we give you the steps to actually get started with your channel. So, either finding your niche or locking in the niche that you already have and kind of refining it and making sure it's as good as possible because most people's niches are not very good. And then helping you get started. That's what we're doing at this live training. So, click the link in the description in the pin comment below. Super excited about this uh Zoom call. It's going to be a Zoom workshop. I look forward to seeing you there. Okay, so the next one is Interactive Gallery. Now, this channel literally just publishes still shots of artwork for 2 hours. They just take a a picture of nice artwork and put it on the screen for 2 hours and that's their video. And they're making $3 to $9,000 a month. Now, you might be asking like, Shane, who in the world watches this? Well, some people like to put this on their TVs. Some people have digital frames, uh, which are basically it's kind of like a TV frame, but it's sort of like a a picture, and you can like change the picture in the frame. And so, people like to just play these on repeat in their digital frames. And so, there is actually a lot of value to this. And on top of that, they actually do have a lot of other links. So, they're probably monetizing on top of the $3 to $9,000 a month. So, they basically figured out this like mini niche where, you know, people like to put this in their frames or they like to put it up on their TV. Like, it's literally just a screen saver. That's it. And they're making a full-time income from that. Super low effort, super easy money. Uh, now, by the way, View Stats says they make about $4 to $11,000 a month. So, that's even more. And if you go to their most popular video, got about 4 million views and made about $21,000. A still shot of a frame made $21,000. Very nice. You know, I I aspire to this level of laziness because I'm telling you guys right now, my videos take a lot more effort than this. We do a ton of research for these videos, but I do aspire to this level of laziness and efficiency. It's like very nice. Well done. Now, the next channel is my own brother, Zach of All Trades. He was 50 years old last year. May 26, 2025, he started his channel. uh 50-year-old who's not tech-savvy, not really artistic. He never really made any videos or anything like that. He barely even watches YouTube. He's more of a Netflix and TV person. Started his channel, very first video, blew up, got over 800,000 views. Look, I've been in the trades for 29 years now. One month later, he was making $214 in a single day just from AdSense alone. 6 months later, he was making $520 in a single day from AdSense alone. Plus, he was making money from affiliate marketing as well. Now, by the way, we're going to be doing an update on how Zach is doing in the live training. So, click that link in the description in the pin comment below to attend that because he's crushing it even more now and he might even show up. So, never know. Now, the whole point and the whole reason why this is so simple is because Zach has spent 30 years in the trades. Almost all of his friends are in the trades. He knows the pros and cons of all the trades. He knows which ones are harder on the body. He knows which ones have longer hours, which ones are easier to get into, which ones you should go union or non-union. Like all these little things are common sense, common knowledge to my brother Zach because he's just been in the industry for so long. And so the stuff that he talks about on his channel is just obvious stuff to him. It's so unbelievably simple to him, but to everyone else, it's just fascinating. They're like, "Oh, I didn't know that. That's so interesting." But to him, it's just unbelievably simple. And there's actually so many other channels I've helped do very similar things. For instance, Josh helps people get into entry-level IT and cyber security jobs. Nicole helps people get into higher level cyber security jobs. Antoine helps people get into tech sales, etc., etc. For them, it's unbelievably obvious and simple stuff, but to everybody else, it's not. It's fascinating. It's incredible insight that helps them land jobs easier or helps them decide if they even want to go into the job in the first place. So, this is decentralized education. And this is one of the things I'm most passionate about because there's been so many people that I've helped start their YouTube channels that get people jobs in two weeks or a month or 3 months that a lot of people would have gone to college, spent four or five years of their life, gone 50 to $100,000 in debt, and then gotten the same exact job, right? So, this gives massive amounts of value because let's be honest, there's a lot of jobs out there that do not require a college degree. You know, some of them do for sure, but a lot of them don't. And a lot of people just want to start making money right away and maybe even just get their degree on the side while they're already making money. So yeah, super passionate about this particular type of channel. I think that they give massive amounts of value as well. And I've helped a ton of people start channels just like this. And it's literally just helping other people get into the job that you're already doing. So it doesn't get much more loweffort than that. It's like you already do the job every day. You just tell them like what they need to know for the job and what looks good on a resume and how to get into it. It's pretty simple. So yeah, if you want more help in doing something like that, again, click the link in the description, the pin comment below to attend the live training. All right, next channel is a little bit similar to what I was just talking about, but a little different as well. Richard Wall's Career Coach. Now, when I worked with Richard's channel, I helped him get to $12,000 in a single month. I'm not sure what he's doing now, but back then he was crushing it. But my whole point is what Richard does is he basically just helps people figure out what certifications, certificates or in some cases online degrees like MBAs for instance would be best for them depending on their career goals. So it's somewhat similar but it's more related to kind of like online education certification certificates online degrees MBAs etc. So he makes very very helpful content on deciding which one is going to be best for people. why MBAs are valuable to employers. And I know for a fact because he was one of my clients that he had a $12,000 month. And this was despite the fact that he's very busy guy. He worked as a product manager for a Fortune50 company, you know, working 60 plus hours a week. You know, he's got a rental property, he had a new baby, he's got investments, all kinds of stuff like that. So, he's super busy guy. Could only work like a couple hours a month. And we still managed to help him get to $12,000 in a single month, which is pretty epic. So he's actually one of my proudest case studies because we helped him do that despite the fact that he had almost zero time to work on YouTube. So that's another thing we help you do is streamline the process of just like doing YouTube quickly and efficiently. Again, attend the live training. You can ask me any questions about that. All right, the next one is just goofy and that is ordinary sausage. I thought I'd throw this one in here cuz it's just kind of funny. They're making about 8 to $23,000 a month and they literally just make every possible type of sausage you can think of. water sausage, air sausage, egg sausage, lobster sausage, fish sausage, ice sausage, cheese sausage, pizza sausage. They even did a sausage video with moist critical, which is pretty epic. I mean, how epic is that? Candy sausage, bacon sausage, beef Wellington. Like, what? It's just a whole channel about sausage. That's it. And honestly, it they basically just make the sausage in the same way every single time and they just record themselves cooking it and then they eat it, you they they're probably going to eat it anyway. So, they record themselves cooking. They eat it, you know, cuz you have to eat food to survive. And then they just record it and throw it up on YouTube and they're making $8 to $23,000 a month. Absurd. The lesson here, because I always like to share lessons, is, you know, the cooking niche is a very saturated niche. And I don't even like to use that word saturated. Basically, there's just a lot of people in the cooking niche. There's a lot of people watching. There's a lot of channels operating in that niche. And so, you really have to niche down in order to stand out in this niche. And so this channel did that by only talking about cooking sausage. That's it. They only talk about sausage. They don't talk about anything else. And that is one way to stand out in a super saturated niche. So there's also channels that basically just specialize in cooking potatoes for instance. So the lesson here is niching down in a more saturated niches. Another example of a saturated niche is fitness, right? If you just talk about general fitness stuff, you're not going to go anywhere in fitness unless you stand out somehow, right? And that's the key point is you have to stand out. You cannot just be like every other channel. You have to figure out how to niche down. And then later on, in many cases, you can actually, you know, expand more once you have an audience. And again, that is what I help people do because a niche is a very delicate thing. It's personal, it's logical, but it's also emotional. And it's also, you know, you want to make sure you're giving value to other people, but you also want to make sure that you're making money on your side, so it's sustainable, right? It's a tough thing to really dial in, and that's what I help people do. So, click the link in the description in the pin comment below to attend the live training this week. We're also giving away an AI there that will help you to select your niche, as well as an opportunity for a bunch of other bonuses that are worth tens of thousands of dollars, and we're giving it away completely free. So, do not miss out on it. Click that link in the description in the pin comment below. Also, if you are a business owner who wants to grow and make money on YouTube, if you're a YouTuber who's crushing it, but you want to make even more money, if you're a YouTuber who's getting a lot of views, but you're struggling with the monetization side, or if you're someone who just wants to treat YouTube like a professional, treat it like a business, go ahead and book a call by clicking the link in the description or the pin comment below, or my about section on my channel. We don't even offer the calls all the time because we're basically very picky about who we accept into our coaching program, but we've coached a wide variety of people and we've gotten them insanely good results. I'll have some of the people pop up on the screen, just like endless amount of people that we've helped get results, but we are very, very picky about who we accept into our coaching program. We only want to work with people if they're very serious about starting YouTube starting right now. And we only accept about 18% of people who apply. So, if you think you're a good fit, go ahead, click that link in the description and the pin comment below. Make sure you answer the questions very carefully. Make sure you watch any videos, you respond to any emails that we send you, and we look forward to talking to you on the call. And with that being said, check out this video right here of one of our clients who we were able to help get results for on YouTube.
