Overview of the cloud code update and the new codeex style applications.

Claude Cowork 2026 update shines with a refreshed cloud co-work UI and a fresh Triolo Solo-like app, plus flexible model options like GPT 5.4/5.2 and cloud/codex workflows.

Summary

Tony Xhepa walks through the latest Claude Cowork ecosystem updates, focusing on the cloud co-work app’s new sidebar, chat section, and the ability to switch between projects like a Laravel restaurant project. He demonstrates choosing cloud code models (with GPT 5.4 and 5.2, plus low/medium/high settings) and notes how you can create new sessions, select local folders, and preview plan actions such as terminal tasks. The tour then compares Claude’s cloud-focused tools to a similar Triolo Solo app, highlighting how you can add models from providers like AWS, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google XAI, and OpenRouter, and even mix in all Llama code variants. Tony emphasizes that cloud is his preferred path and walks through creating a restaurant project, generating a reservation system plan, and viewing terminal tasks within a plan. He also shows Solo’s features, including an “agents terminal” with Gemini, Cloud Code, Codeex, and AMP, and explains the need for a Cloud subscription to access some terminals. Overall, the video provides a side-by-side look at contemporary AI-assisted development tools, emphasizing model switching, local-versus-cloud workflows, and practical project scaffolding for a Laravel-based restaurant app.

Key Takeaways

  • Cloud co-work now includes a toggleable sidebar and a dedicated chat section for streamlined collaboration.
  • You can select cloud code models (including GPT 5.4 and 5.2) and adjust difficulty levels (low/medium/high/extra high) for tailored planning.
  • The Laravel restaurant project serves as a live example where you can generate a restaurant reservation system plan and preview terminal tasks within the plan.
  • Triolo Solo-like app (referred to as solo) lets you add multiple models from providers like AWS, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google XAI, and OpenRouter for flexible experimentation.
  • Both cloud code/codeex and Solo emphasize local versus cloud workflow options, with Solo enabling local project storage via a generated solo yl file.
  • An important practical note is that some Terminal features in Solo require a cloud subscription to access MCP servers in the project.
  • The video showcases a practical roadmap for building a full project (restaurant app) using a mix of cloud and local models, plus planning tools like ’PHP artisan serve’ and ’npm run build.’

Who Is This For?

Essential viewing for developers and teams evaluating AI-assisted coding workflows, especially those considering Claude Cowork’s cloud tooling, Codeex, and Triolo/Solo-like solutions for Laravel projects.

Notable Quotes

"we have here for example the restaurant restaurant project and we can create threads we can start right here we can change the models now all the models are from uh GPD so we have GPT 5.4 5.2 two codeex and so on and also low, medium, high and extra high."
Demonstrates the model options and the restaurant project workflow in Codeex.
"We have the sidebar here. We can toggle the sidebar and then we have a section for chat."
Highlights the new UI toggle and chat section in cloud co-work.
"another application which is similar to this one is from try and is called try solo."
Introduces the Solo-like app as a parallel tool for the same workflow.
"you can add more models. If I come here add models you can select the provider AWS or anthropic AP open AAI Google XAI open router."
Shows the breadth of model providers and configurability in Solo.
"I'm going to try to work with this a little bit which is a new one because yeah cloud is the best in my opinion and because I have created this plan I'm going to use this plan now and work with the local model and I'm going to see if I can create the full project with the local model and how long it's going to take to create this full project."
Owns the cloud-vs-local workflow discussion and intent to test a full local-model project build.

Hello friends, Tony here. Welcome. In today's video, I'm going to show you the update of uh cloud code and also a new application which is similar to this one, the the cloud code and also similar the codeex. We have a bunch of them, bunch of applications. Now, here's the codeex. Let's show you the codeex which is this application. So we have here for example the restaurant restaurant project and we can create threads we can start right here we can change the models now all the models are from uh GPD so we have GPT 5.4 5.2 two codeex and so on and also low, medium, high and extra high. Okay, next we have the cloud co-work which now has an update. We have the sidebar here. We can toggle the sidebar and then we have a section for chat. This is for the chat. Then co-work and then the code. And here for example we are on this uh restaurant project which is a Laravel project. We can uh choose the model which is right now set but yeah only the cloud code models u set and haiku also low medium and high pass permissions transcript view mode and of course we have also this press and hold the record. Now you can create a new session for example right here and here we have locally we can choose the folder the project. So let's choose for example this teams project and now we are on the teams and we can ask what we want. We can also switch between the models and for the restaurant I just asked to create a restaurant reservation system plan. And if I open the plan here, we can preview the plan. For example, we can show the terminal tasks div and preview. So if I say terminal here, where to see the terminal? Right here. The plan to create a reservation system is here. And also another application which is similar to this one is from try and is called try solo. You can see is almost the same. We have here the sidebar. We can click the sidebar and here we have more than coding or just coding. Right here we can select a folder. So select a project. We are on this restaurant project and I asked analyze and understand this project repository to generate structured and so on and has analyzed the project. Now this used the solo auto model right now but the beauty of this is you can add more models. If I come here add models you can select the provider AWS or anthropic AP open AAI Google XAI open router. You can use open router here also you can use the all lama code and mini max and so on. Okay, I don't think we have the local now local but yeah only the cloud and I'm going to try to work with this a little bit which is a new one because yeah cloud is the best in my opinion and because I have created this plan I'm going to use this plan now and work with the local model and I'm going to see if I can create the full project with the local model and how long it's going to take to create this full project. That's it all about this video. What I wanted to show you that we have an update on the cloud co-work application and also a new application from triolo which is almost identical to cloud code right now and codeex. We have a get polycope. We have also solo not here but I have downloaded also the solo from the iron Francis which is this one and here we can just add a project right click add a project and for example let's add that restaurant project and here is going to suggest processes so PHP artisan serve PHP artisan qui work logs scheduleuler bail uh pint and npm M rundev and also mpm run build. Create a solo yl file and store locally only. And we can add four processes for this one for example. And here is the restaurant. Here is so welcome to solo. And we have the agents terminal. So if I hit agents we have Gemini agent, open code, cloud code, codeex and amp. We can work with Gemini for example. We can work also with cloud code here. If I click and here have open the cloud. So we use this and all feature MCP servers in this project. Now here you need to have the cloud subscription because this is just a terminal. Okay friends that's it all about this video. If you like such a videos don't forget to subscribe to my channel, like the video, share with your friends and I'm going to see you in another one. All the best.
