There are no records indicating she filed any lawsuits against the involved officers or the property owners. Court records indicate she pleaded not guilty, bonded out, and has since stopped showing up to court. And her bond has since been forfeited. She is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Now, in Florida, it takes seven straight years of living on a property and paying the taxes before you could even try to make that claim. And this wasn't that. Not even close. You know what gets people jammed up fast? Confidence build on something they don't fully understand? Cuz what she's holding right there, adverse possession, that's not a free pass to take control of someone's house. Well, now we've got officers walking into a situation where someone truly believes they belong there. And that belief, that's what makes it harder than it was. They escalate because somewhere along the way, they decided they're not leaving no matter the cost.
