So, I'll give my thoughts on the game so far. Um, I think I'm going to have to play it a lot more in order to like really kind of appreciate it. Uh, this is definitely kind of a it's an interesting game. It's a very interesting game. I'm not really as familiar with playing something like this, right? Um, I I'll probably take a break and and relax, but I I'll give away. I I usually like I I I guess I can just be like painfully honest. Like this type of gameplay doesn't really resonate very well with me. Like I don't really find this to be like super exciting or like really that that fun. I don't think the game is bad. I think the game is actually good. It's just not something that's like really something I'm like a big fan of, right? And uh it's just not my kind of game. But I think also like I've thought that about a lot of other games like whether it's something like Slate Spire or something else and like you know I play it more and then I start to like it more. So, I'm not out on the game, but I'll say that like, you know, to me, like I I I like the, you know, like traditional, you know, you're a John survival. You land on a beach, you kill things. So, whenever it's not like that, it's definitely kind of harder for me to understand what to do and like to really get into it. Especially there's like not really a combat element to it at all. It's just kind of you that sound um you just like moving It's a story survival game. Yeah, it is. And like I think that you could compare it like I mean the closest thing I I would compare it to that I've like played that's similar to this. It's it's not the same, but it's just similar is something like Sons of the Forest, right? And so you can't kill [ __ ] It's just generally not worth your time. Yeah, maybe. Will you try Forza tomorrow? Does it come out tomorrow? I don't think it does. So yeah, I mean that's that's generally like what my why don't you like say the spire? No, I love it. I love it's a great game. But like at the beginning I didn't. That was my point, right? And so like at the beginning I was like ah what the [ __ ] is a card game [ __ ] deck builder turnbased piece of [ __ ] But then it turns out it was actually like one of my it's one of my favorite games. You can build mechs. Yeah. And I I might try that. Like I'm I I'm going to play it more. Like I I I don't want anybody to think that I didn't Well, I kind of didn't like the game if you want me to be honest. But I feel like this is a game that it's like almost like a purposefully boring game that, you know, again, it's just not really something like I I would rather play something But um let me go back and make sure I I do this the right way. play more on stream. I I'll probably play something else. It's not It You're not a survival Andy? Well, I've played like, for example, like I mean, do you consider Valheim, Windows, and like, you know, Rust survival games? Cuz I I I would I I like those games a lot. So, I've played those. I agree. This isn't my type of game. Yeah. And I think that that's okay. Like it's it's not like again whenever a game isn't, you know, really my kind of thing. I I I try to avoid being like, "Oh my god, this is so bad." I don't think it's bad. I think this game plays very well, but it's just not really something that I get into. So that's like that's my uh that that's my opinion. That's my that's my TED talk on the game. This is the opposite of Dune Awakening. Well, so I hated D like Dune Awakening. Everybody thought it was good except for me. And I remembered I would hate watch Shroud play it because I thought it was so bad and I thought he was just like he was just wrong about everything playing the game. I'm like this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Why would he want to play this? But like um I would bad game sucked. And so I I don't know what he was I still don't know what he was thinking. And put that over there. I'm going put all these away, too. And make more batteries and everything else. It's going to grow on you, bro. And you're right. It does start slow, but it ramps up. Yeah. And also like I mean, this could be something that I could really enjoy if I could just take a step back and just like kind of play and and do slowly. You've enjoyed boring no killing games before. This is probably mid. Usually I don't though. Realistically, I usually don't. Especially whenever it's just like whenever boring nokilling games are like enjoyable for me is usually whenever they're very story driven. Something like for example like mouthwashing or you know I played mixtape or something like that. I think Shroud genuinely enjoyed Dune. Yeah, I know. Nobody's perfect. I think he like Conan Xiles more. Yeah, I know that. And uh if I don't kill things, I don't want it as well. makes on that you don't want Death Stranding. I like Well, no, Death Stranding like here here's my point is that there are a lot of games that I think are okay, but I just don't really want to stream them. Like I would just rather stream another game. It's like kind of just slow and like very not necessarily made for streaming. Well, I don't think a game should be made for streaming. This is another thing too is that like just because a game isn't um you know like it's not playable as like a stream game and like that's not even true. There's plenty of people streaming the game and and and loving it. It's just not something that I like doing, right? So whenever I'm saying this, I'm not really saying that like this is, you know, anything that's actually bad. I'm just simply giving my opinion. Flashlight. Oh, I didn't even mean to do that. I think that really I mean I think it's a good I think this is a good game. like, you know, in terms of it being like if if I'm rating this based off of like how well it executes on different premises, I think it executes on the concept of an underwater experience well, at least so far. There's a bunch of references in first game you don't get. Let me guess, a lot of the characters are from the first game or something like that. No. Okay. This sure seems like a good game. Yeah, it does. It is a good game. It gets intense, but not in a combat way. Yeah, I could see something like that happening. I definitely could. So, Naka one got really weird, like HalfLife. It got super strange halfway through. Yeah, it seems pretty obvious that this game probably has there's kind of like I I I can kind of predict where I think the story is going to go, which is interesting. Yeah, sure. It's good. If it had combat, you'd definitely say the game was better in another way. Um, yeah, maybe. I don't know. Have to review the game from a perspective of a person who would like it. Yeah, exactly right. And so like if if I look at like what what my preferences are, it's it's going to be different than everybody else's. Did I play the first one? This is my first time playing Subnotica ever. I've never played the first game. I never even knew anything about it. I knew it was like a game where you would like go underwater and there's like monsters underwater. That was literally everything that I knew. The story isn't predictable. Okay. Well, maybe I'm wrong. Need to play more off stream. Yeah, I will. I I'll I'll try out and play the game more. For sure. Struggle to understand everything works takes the fun away at the beginning. Uh when you know how to move around more, you'll enjoy it more. I think that's the same with anything, right? I mean, there's going to be a learning curve with every game. Like for me, there was less of a learning curve with other games, but that's also because I'm more familiar with uh other types of games, whereas this one's kind of like a unique game, right? And like this is this is a totally new thing. But I like trying new games and I like trying new things. And so, uh, you know, I'm glad that I played it. I'm glad that I tried it out even though it didn't really vibe very well with me. I'm going to play it more off stream and see if I enjoy it more that way. and then maybe I'll probably have more fun, you know, like that. That's the way that I feel about it. And let me see.
