Live Testing my Three.js Game - LaserNuke (Come play)
Chapters8
The host introduces a browser based game built with Cloud Code and starts a live test of single and multiplayer modes.
DesignCourse’s live playtest of LaserNuke shows a chaotic, ambitious browser-based Three.js game with live dev iteration, open/private lobbies, and real-time debugging—promising but imperfect.
Summary
DesignCourse’s laser-focused live session centers on testing LaserNuke, a browser-based Three.js game built with Cloud Code. Throughout the 1h25m stream, the creator demos single-player and multiplayer modes, explains how open and private lobbies work, and discusses live debugging and live pushes with Claude Code. He shows the core mechanic: anticipating where a rotating terrain target will land within a 3-second window to score, with points awarded for proximity (within 500 feet). The stream reveals ongoing issues—game state hangs when players leave mid-round, UI washout bugs, and inconsistent scoring—yet also demonstrates a fast feedback loop: real-time fixes, a public private lobby link workflow, and the ability to tweak visuals and gameplay parameters via a settings panel. Viewers even get a behind-the-scenes look at the settings system Claude Code powers, including adjustments to terrain amplitude, bloom, and camera behavior before baking updates. DesignCourse frames this as a one-week project, with an eye toward onboarding, UX clarity, and potential future modes. The live chat of a few participants adds commentary on balance, onboarding, and whether to push a proper release versus iterative testing. Overall, the stream is part showcase, part debugging lab, and part a candid glimpse into indie game dev using Three.js on the web.
Key Takeaways
- LaserNuke uses a rotating terrain target; players click to shoot and must guess where the target will be in 3 seconds, with scoring based on proximity (within 500 feet).
- Open lobby support allows up to six players, with a private lobby feature that generates a shareable link for controlled testing.
- Sign-in via Google is recommended for persisting stats, though guests can still play; stats persist only when signed in.
- Live debugging reveals instability when players leave mid-round, causing the open lobby to hang; Claude Code is used to push incremental fixes in real time.
- Visual tuning and gameplay balance are controlled through a comprehensive in-game settings panel (terrain amplitude, bloom, color, camera fov, etc.).
- Development workflow includes iterative pushes, bug logging, and using Claude as a live debugging partner to refine the experience.
- High-skill ceiling is acknowledged; the creator notes that someone without design or web tech experience would struggle to replicate this from scratch, underscoring the learning curve and tooling decisions.
Who Is This For?
Essential viewing for indie game developers curious about building a browser-based 3D game with Three.js and real-time multiplayer testing, plus anyone curious about live dev workflows and on-the-fly iteration.

Oh, what is up everybody? What is up? We're going to uh Yeah, I'm going to play around with the game and it's it's it's available for people to play right now, but I have not tested it with multiple users at all. Um I'm going to wait for people to come in and then we can see if we can get some multiplayer matches going here. This is lasernuke.com and it was really just a uh experiment um to see how far I could push Cloud Code into building an actual game, a browserbased game, something not too crazy, not too complex.
Um let me check the comments here. And yeah, I already played I one round with somebody. I Let's see here. Say hi in the chat. Make sure everything's running here correctly. We'll get to this here in a second to this game and what it's about momentarily. Let me go to X here off screen. See if this actually posted. Oh, yeah. I'm live. Alrighty. All right. Well, while I wait for people to come in, um, I'm going to hit single player. You can kind of see what it's about. I'm not sure if you can hear the uh stuff behind me or the the actual system audio.
The goal is to hit the target. It's like an anticipation game. So, I got 300 feet. So, I that gives me 397 points. Now, it's going to re just randomly set it in and randomly set the speed. And you have to kind of anticipate where it's going to be out in three seconds after you hit the uh fire button. Let me know in the comments if this is too loud. I'm not sure if the background audio like what that's like. All right. So, we can do multiplayer on this game um up to like five or six people at a time and uh there's like a leader board based on who gets the closest.
There's also uh music here. Not sure how loud that is either. Oh, you guys have no audio. Hold on. Let me check. All righty. All right. I'm going to quit. Okay, still no audio of the game. Let me check just to make sure things are working properly here. So, if you guys all go to right there, let me send that out. We'll try to get um some live matches here. But let me see what's going on with the um actual audio. Let me turn this back on. Move that out of the way. Let me go to audio.
Yeah, that's strange. I don't understand why you wouldn't hear it. I'm looking at myself through the YouTube feed. Yeah, you don't hear it. Oh, I love the uh synth wave sort of aesthetic. We got six players online. Screw it. I'll try to fix the audio issue later, but um let's I'm going to go to multiplayer and join open lobby. Um, if anybody else clicks join open lobby, you'll see me here. And we can have play up to six people apparently at a time. I've only played with one other person, so it may break. Um, so any you don't have to create an account.
All right, so we got one person, guest 7 A6E, and you can create an account. Um, you also have to go to the main page on the home screen on upper right corner and you can connect like a Google account or a custom email account. And if you do, it does save your stats. Ah, we got we got another person. So, we got two people playing this for the first time. All right. So, if you didn't we got four people. Phoenix, good. We got a actually somebody who created a uh account. Let's see what this looks.
I have not played with uh all these people yet. I can see issues already. Let's see who wins this one. Oh, look how crazy this is. All right, I I won. I I got the first round, so 407. Nobody else got a point. Where did the fourth person go? They may have left. All right, so I won round one, punks. You're going to have to beat me. There is an in-game chat like that. says, "Yo." All right. So far so good. You guys can click ready, by the way, and it will You're supposed to hit the target.
You're supposed to anticipate when that target drops in where it's going to be after you click. So, you'll get the hang of it. What the hell happened though? Next round in 12, something happened. Something broke. I think maybe because somebody left Midame and now we're stuck. Oh, that's cool. All right. Well, what I'm going to do is store that as an update. So, I have Claude Code sitting by. Um, and we can push live here. All right. So, we're going to be iteratively fixing this thing as uh we go. I believe the Let's see here.
I'm just going to paste that. Um, open lobby system is broke because it hung at 12 seconds after the first round. Someone uh did join but left Midame. Perhaps the issue. All right. So, let me um go back. I'm just going to go back. I'm going to go back to multiplayer. Um this time, yeah, let's just do an open lobby again. Oh, okay. We got Oh, no. I think everything's broke. We'll have to try to uh figure out this. See, it says unready. So, we have an issue with the game state um where this whole I think what I'm going to do is refresh live uh game debugging.
This is fun. Oh, that's awesome. Let's hit log out. There we go. It came back. All right. Five players online. Probably nobody's able to play this appropriately unless you do single player. All right, let's try this again. All right, we got three people. We got nil. We got guest. Let's try this again. We got um what do you call? We got Claude over here trying to ascertain why that happened. That first issue. Let's see if this one works. We have Let's see. Oh. Oh my god. Okay, we got five people in Oh, I'm guess I I logged out.
That's why. So, this shows you like how far people are away from the target. I won that one with 76 points and I was 147 feet away. The rules of the game is like where it's rotating, you have to anticipate where the target's going to be based on how fast it's spinning. And after you click, you have 3 seconds from where it lands. Um, as you can see, there's issues with the game state completely not showing the end of the score. And I have not tested this yet with other users. That's why it's messed up.
So, like right now, we're kind of screwed. I have people playing. Oh, there it goes. Yeah, there must be some type of issue Stand by. All right, I guess we're still in progress with this game. I think it'll be right here. Oh, somebody got close. Oh, I'm still kicking everybody's ass. I got 1,200 points. Next person has 500. But then again, I know exactly how to play. And I'm ready. It's a little bit bright with the different colors. I'm not sure if I like that. Oh, that's going to be a good one. Yeah, you guys are landing far away.
We got five players online. All right, right there. I think uh you got to be within 500 feet to get a point, by the way. You have to be within 500 feet. Claude just said, "This is a real bug, not just a tuning issue." Uh, oh man, I did terrible. What the [ __ ] No one got close on that one. All righty. Yeah, it's And also the speed at which the round is like everybody's way over there on this one. We got three more rounds. I think it's going to be right there. All right. Someone had to have got closer than me.
No, we're all far the hell away. Look at this. Like, it seems like everybody's like aiming over there. Hopefully, it's not a game issue. So Claude is still working here. Oh, where's it at? This is going to be an easier one. Looks like some people are landing right over on top of it. How the hell are you guys so far away? Like there's no way. Like that was a slow one. Yeah. You know what? I just I was thinking about changing up the uh point of view too for per round. Is anybody else getting points except for me?
No, I'm 300 feet away or 400. You guys are all thousand plus feet away. All right. Claude's working by the way. That is weird. So, like, all right, I got I won with 2500 points and then the next person to me who just left was like at 500 points. What I want you guys to do is just hit exit and go to single player and see like if you can kind of get better scores. And I'm not sure if it's like a skill issue with you guys or there's an issue with the actual um targeting system for other people.
For me though, I mean, although I've been playing it uh in the past week since I've been developing this. So, I'll do an open lobby again. So, Phoenix asks, "Is the game in live dev mode on the server? Is Claude also installed?" No, I just have it installed locally and I'll just have a push and it auto updates. All right, about to start this lobby. There's with Neil. I need to log in. I'll do that after. All right, so this time I'm just playing. This is a slow, easy one. Oh, I got 74 feet away.
That was a 850. Ferris asked, "What tech skills do I think are are needed to pull off a game like this?" Oh, okay. I got within four and that was a fast one. All right, Neil, you're at 960. That wasn't bad for a fast one. So, your average Vibe coder without a technical background, oh, that was a good one, is not going to be able to pull something like this off, like if you don't have any design experience or code or understanding of how, you know, web technologies work, you'll have a real hard time. Um, let me get this off of here.
Ah, 621, you were close. You have to be within the 500. I maybe I should put like a a a perimeter about where you have to hit within because it's 500 feet outside of the target. This one's going to be like right around here. Nil, I I'm I'm pulling for you. One of these rounds, you're going to get a point. So, yeah, this is one of those things I might actually do a I don't know dev course on something like this. But I did use cloud code for almost everything. And of course I I have an editor I built in here that allows me to control this the look of everything basically.
But it seems like it is kind of difficult for uh people to get the hang of the game. That's why probably playing single player first makes sense. Oh, that was a good one. Ready. All right, let's see what Claude code's doing here. This is a little too chaotic. Just remember it's like this this terrain is rotating around and you just have to anticipate where it's going to be. I got 3,100 points. Where's Claude Code at? Um, it was a player who joined and then left Midame. let me do this real quick. This one's a fast one.
I see. I I was 700. I didn't even get a point that game. Let's try. Um The countdown is not latched. Let's see Oh, almost a direct hit. Oh, Neil, you got 181 points. You did it. You did it. I'm going to hit exit here. Alrighty. Okay, so let's see what the situation was. We had like five people enter and then like the game hung up. false blah blah blah blah blah blah. All right. Pushed. Versil is deploying now. Your diagnosis was right. Um, all right. So, if the host themselves leaves on an open match with two plus players in it, nobody is left to drive the countdown and it'll stall the same way.
That's a bigger change it needs. All right. Well, we'll worry about that in the future. I'm going to go ahead back to multiplayer. We're going to go to open. So, if anyone wants to try to play, go back to um open. Let me let me actually go sign in first. So, if you want your stats to persist, you have to sign in. Just use Google O. It's quickest. And there is like this issue here, which let me check the console. Oh, yeah. Uh, it's a it's a it's a frame browser refresh issue and I think something is messed up.
Yeah, I hate when this issue happens. It has to do with Let's see. Yeah, see the the UI is lighter now. And I know that that uh if I hit refresh this, there's a uh yeah, there's a there's an error. Let's or a warning. Sometimes the camera just pans too far away. I was thinking about having it change the field of view randomly as well, so perhaps you get more aerial overhead shots, but this right here, I know the UI is too light right now, and that means something's broken. Oh, yeah. AI. Let's see if this even works.
I'm going to do single player real quick. Yeah, like the UI becomes washed out like this. All right. Well, we're going to try Phoenix here. Phonics, rather. I'm going to open lobby. All right. So, we got three people. Um, it did push an update. Um, I think if somebody leaves mid-match, that's why it hung up. So, I'm going to see if anybody else wants to join. That's why I'm not hitting ready yet. You can also create private lobbies with a custom link that you can just link people. Oh, look. Game starts in one and it just hung up.
Yeah, I know there's some issues here. Oh, let's hit ready again. Game starting in three. Will it work this time? Yeah. Okay. I'm going to close out the chat window. All right. I'm the only one with points. I really do think there's an issue with where it's showing me that some of the um explosions are. I'm not sure if it's really matching up in reality with what you guys are doing. Oh, 541. So, I get no points that time. See, like, let's see how far away you guys were. 799. Oh, you were just outside of the 500.
I can turn down the bloom. Um, well, right now what you're seeing is like an error state of the game. It's not supposed to be this washed out looking. I wish my um sound was coming through for everybody watching, but whatever. Oh, Phoenix is or phonics is getting close here. Oh, I got 300 feet away. Yeah, we definitely need to I need to improve some things here. Ready? After this round or after this round, uh we'll go mess with the uh visual settings. I'll show the uh my settings panel. I did terrible that one. That was 800 feet.
Maybe I'll try to get more of an aerial head view. Oh, that was almost a direct hit. Look at that. I crushed it. That was a sweet one. I got 46 feet away on that one. Ready. Oh, 290. That was a good one. Ah, nil. You got 89 points. There we go. Well, it's not fair because I've been playing this way too way much long way longer than you guys have. Just been testing it out. Too far. [ __ ] All right, we got two more rounds. It was fun building the UI. And I'll show you um I'll take a break with playing it and I'll show you kind of the settings panel that I have that allowed me to kind of craft the look and the feel and how I can easily change it as well.
See, I'm seeing bomb explosions right here, but then like it ends up showing your actual missile locations like a million miles away. That's why I'm kind of like wondering if this is properly matching up or it's just because you guys are, you know, not used to playing it. All right, there we go. Phonx got uh 900 almost 1,000 points. Going to hit exit. All right, I'm going to show Yeah, we got This is definitely buggy. There it goes. Now it's back to its regular. All right. So, basically this right here, this shows up just for me.
Um, and this is all like the settings. Look how many groups there are. These are all expandable groups that have all their own settings. And this is necessary for every aspect of the game. you just continually tell Claude to build out and add these um these these areas here, these settings that allow you to adjust basically everything um that you want. So like we can adjust the amplitude uh of the terrain, the color, all that [ __ ] Um what's frequency? There's a warp setting. Oh yeah, that's like to really change up the uh the UI here.
There's so much other stuff like uh Oh, yeah. terrain. There's a scene with the I believe the bloom. Yeah, the bloom strength. So, we can turn I can turn that down and then ship that. Otherwise, it's kind of like, oh, we're going to die. All right. So, we are around here. Probably makes sense to go more like Like that. There's a bloom radius. which just keep that low. There we go. Now then I all I can do is just uh hit um where is it at? Bake. All right. And then next time Claude pushes it, that will ship to everybody else.
So, I'm going to go back into the multiplayer, join open lobby, and if anybody wants to play against me again, you can do so. But this will give me enough data to test and be like, "All right, um, after this this is over with, kind of be able to figure out." Um, there we go. There's phonics. I I'm not going to hit ready yet just because I want to see uh if other people want to join if there is any people. We got four people on now. There's two others. So, someone asked what is the stack.
So, this is just uh straight up 3JS and I believe Python. Ready? All right. Me and Phonx are going to go against each other. Oh, we got two more people. Wait, what happened? Think we had a game state issue. Oh, there we go. That's interesting that that happened. All right, so now this is a four-person game. Ah, Neil's beating me. There was a huge bloom in front of me when when this is a fast one. H none of us got it that time. Interesting. Yeah, we definitely have issues still. Good. I'm going to paste that into uh Claude.
Oh my god. I have 14 points. The other people have 254 and 238. All right, time to get for me to start focusing here. I'm still at 587. Well, I was closest that round, but I still got no points because you have to be within 500 feet. Now, what happened? There's something happening like where somebody is like able to like not do it in time. That's kind of weird. All right. Come on. Oh my god. 521 ft away again. I got four rounds left. It was fun as hell, you know, um using Claude to um piece this together because there's a lot of crazy [ __ ] happening.
Oh, there we go. That's it. I'm up at 752 now. And for some reason, we got somebody who's lagging guest. Yeah, that's so strange. It's like it's like they're on an offset. I I took first place. There we go. There we go. All order is restored. Uh I got some points there. Oh, said Neil. H I I got you by two points or two feet. Oh yeah, I'm only winning by less than 200 points. Yeah, I'm not really familiar with like 2D game engines. I'm only familiar with like 3JS. [ __ ] 700 feet away. I'm still I still have my uh first place lead here.
This is the last uh round. It looks laggy on my computer, but it's actually buttery smooth. It's just the uh streaming. Oh my god, this is a hard Oh, I hit it. Oh, that was sweet. That was really fast. All right. I'm still the undisputed uh goat here of uh laser nuke. I'm going to hit exit. All right. So, somebody had mentioned Yeah. Let me go back here to uh let me go ahead and just mention this here to Claude. like bloom. And every time they shot was. It's like they had a longer missile or longer.
Okay, I'm going to send that off. I'm going to go back to a public lobby again. Actually, let's do a private one and see if that works correctly. We'll just do 10. I'm going to create the lobby and then copy the link and I'm going to put the link here in the um X chat in the YouTube chat. That's where I'm streaming to X and YouTube right now. I just kind of want to test that. Still too much of a new Oh, yeah. I haven't really refined gameplay mechanics at all. um at all, you know.
Okay, so the private um thing is working. So, I have it just up to six because I think any more than six it would get way too crazy and crowded. Um do we have five total players? I'm going to let this go for a little bit more. Yeah, it's just do all four of us. We'll see if private lobby works. say it's the same thing, but that way you can just make it private and send some like a link to somebody. All right, we're starting. We got four Oh yeah, that was a good one. 585.
Neil is getting it. Neil has the uh getting consistent points now after figuring this out. Oh, that's a good one, man. It wasn't that good. Oh, Neil won that one. Oh, it's getting close. 650 to 617. There's so many things I I could do like if I took this seriously. Um like if it actually somehow became popular, I would um sell ad space on these buildings. Oh, that was shitty. Nobody got points that one. 845 ft away. See, we all originate from the same arc and we see the same layout. So, we're all pointing from here.
Oh, that's nice. Oh, yeah. Now I got the lead. All right. All right. Well, at least private um lobby is private multiplayer match is working well. Let's see what um Claude is saying here. 485 ft away. Neil was 587. 1299. Oh, Phonx got uh 292 that way. I got 440. All right. I got the closest that time. 881. What happened? See, it does this thing every now and then where it's like, why is it not autoprogressing to the next round? Interesting. Now, I'm wondering, uh, here's the thing. We started with three players and Oh, there's another person.
How are they delayed like that? Because it it makes you f it auto auto triggers the fire after 7 seconds. So that's kind of strange. Interesting. It's uh Claude's working right now by the way on um some of the other fixes. 170 ft. And now we got the fourth person delaying us again. Come on. What is happening? Yeah. Hopefully the update that it's going to um do is uh Yeah. See, like what is that? There's a lag. Yeah, I'm going to copy this. We got eight players online now. Oh, this is a slow one. We should all do good on this one.
Uh, wait. Oh, yeah. Yeah, Neil won that I'm 340. And now we have to wait again for that lag. Uh, there it is. Who the hell is DJ Hell? Some male model or something? Alrighty. Uh 600. That was a harder one. I still got closest but no points for it. Last round. You notice some issues with uh the scoring right there. The white space is all [ __ ] up. I got some points there. Well, at least it's not like super easy. All right, let's see who won. Obviously, we know who won. now. Okay, this is a private lobby game.
What happened? Did it Did it [ __ ] uh It's supposed to. Ah, there we go. Finally. That's so weird. All righty. Let me go back here. All right, so Claude's over here. All right. So, yeah, I'm going to choose that option. How to score points on the fourth player. Always zero. So maybe the game needs onboarding. Well, yeah. I mean, I I wanted to allow it so that you don't have to create an account, but if you wanted to create an account, then it's on the upper right of the menu screen. So, just go to lazernne.com, the homepage.
Upper right, it'll say a small area to sign in, and you just like just use Google O. I'm not sure if it has something to do with an issue with guest accounts always saying zero or but I don't think so. All right. Oh, there's there's Neil. So that in phonics. So that's working. I'm going to go back and I'm going to go to open lobby. So I'll wait until somebody wants to join that. This is so stupid. Why is my um gonna try to figure out how to bring back? I don't know how to play.
Well, listen. It's all about that that target that drops in. Oh, okay. So, yeah, people leaving and exiting is obviously an issue. Um, but when that little target drops in, your goal is just to click onto the terrain with the little laser target. Um, and you're supposed to anticipate where that target will be based on the spin rate. All right, we got Neil and Phonx ready. I'm going to let it count down here. I integrated this during the menu state. This little cool background shader effect. I don't know. I thought it gave a little bit more visual interest.
By the way, at the end of each round, you can leftclick and swivel around. All right, we're going to do this again. That was a good one. All right, now we all got some points. Ah, there you go. We all got points that round. Look at that. We all got pretty close, too. I'm second place. I'm going to hit ready Oh, Neil's kicking some ass, man. What was that? 165 ft. I'm still in second place. It is actually kind of fun, you know. It's just like a simple little browser game, but I really wanted to play around with the graphics obviously and then and I was impressed, you know, with what I was able to achieve.
62 feet away. Sorry guys, that was a big one because each round you can get up to a thousand points like if you hit dead even. And it it also wrecks the target, too, if you get within like 200 feet or so. All right, let's see here. Oh, that's gonna be a good one. No, it's not. Sometimes you think they're going to be great and they're not. Neil got closest. I got second closest. I'm going to copy that bug that you had mentioned. Paste that in here in a second. Oh, this is a slow one.
Oh, I dominated with that one. 94 feet. That's a lot of points. See, I used to play uh Quake 2 a ton like million years ago and we had dialup modem and you had to get really good oh my god with anticip still [ __ ] that was 1100 feet away. Phonics got 2,000 feet away. Kind of far away on that one. So, you have to really anticipate where that sucker is going to be. Oh my god. Yeah, Neil got me on that one. 400. All right, let me go back to cloud code I didn't get any points.
Neil's closing in. He's been been beating me here. All he needs is like a direct hit and I'm done. Ah, a different tab is screwing things up. I wouldn't doubt it. Oh, Neil, dude, this is so close. You You're 400 points away from beating me. I think we have one or two rounds left. I'm not sure how the round system's working here. This might be This is the last one. I got to fix that white space issue. Oh, you almost got me. Yeah, you were about 200 points away. Yeah, that's not too bad. Let's hit exit.
Let me go back. Let's see what Claude's doing here. There's a bunch of stuff that it's working on. All right, let me check the uh comments How to score more points. Yeah, you know, I've never made a game before and this is my first attempt and it was just, you know, what's what I really what I realize at this point is I guess I'll do another open lobby. Uhoh, type error failed to fetch. Claude might be doing something. Might be in the middle of a live push perhaps. Let's refresh. Oh, Neil's moved up. Neon Fox has moved up the high score, so I'll probably be dethroned here.
Neon Fox is second place with total points. All right, so let's do open lobby. So, I'm going to do another open lobby match. All right, we got Neil Claude is still working. All right, it's us two again. Wish other people would join. Oh my god, that was terrible. 900 ft. We all suck on that one. Claude's still working here. Somebody's getting more people. Oh, but you know, I should take my time because you have seven seconds to shoot. That's why you see the red thing go around the orbital thing. We're all zero. We're terrible. Come on.
I think I another thing we might I might want to have it update and do is um for each round it'll set us at a different vantage point instead of putting us at the same spot every time. Oh yeah. Okay. Yep. There we go. I finally got up some points here. I'm still lagging. Look at that. Oh my god. We need to get crap. All right, let's see what Claude is Need super base rioth. Five rounds, zero points. MCP token mid session. Um, oh, I have to reoff my superb base MCP server. How am I being so bad?
Come on. super base. Let me do this off screen. Let's see here. All right, three more rounds. Oh my god. I I'm just I'm being terrible. It's a th like a thousand feet away. 1100 feet away. All it takes is one person is to get a little bit closer and they'll beat me. All right. Um let's go to MCP. There we go. Oh no. Okay, that helped me. There we go. Neil got 828 points for that one. Okay, Superbase needs reauthenticated. Oh no, it's going to [ __ ] my browser up. Yeah, there we go. Neil got some points.
Ready? All right. Um Oh, that's Oh my god, that was a tough one because when it's at the center, it's hard to get points. All right. 1500 verse 922. Going to hit exit. Okay. All right. Let me figure out what's going on here. I'm just trying to um get Superbase MCP server reauthenticated. I'm doing that off screen here. authorize so that it can push and update what it needs to. Let's resume. I'm going to go back to open lobby. All right. So, Claude's still working. Goal is to get some of those issues fixed here. I also want to know why in the hell my Oh, we got a guest here.
Let's see. edit. Um, all righty. H. I got you, Neil. Just by a little bit. Camera. Oh, I was way far away. Neil got pretty close. All right, V-Mix video. I'm trying to figure out why you're not getting my system audio and I'm still behind it. I did get a couple points. Neil, you got our guest got 804. I'll answer that question here. One second. Oh, Neil, you're right at 500. Did that give you a single point or probably zero? Maybe it's it's less than 500. All right. So, somebody asked, does anybody know how the UI was made?
All via prompts or did he create the models himself? No, it's pretty much all via prompts. But the way I prompted is, you know, for instance, this little holographic thing, this weapon, I had it made like seven of them. Six or seven or something. Oh, six, seven. But uh and in and in doing that I was able to choose and really refine each one. Um and so I also had it bake in the settings panel and allows me to really control like the look of the shaders. Oh, that was a sweet one. Good. Guess got some points.
Neil got some points on that one. Yeah. You know what? I think um other people's explosions aren't showing up in the actual right spot from where they actually occurred. 502 not enough for any points. Damn. I'm just two feet away. All right, we got two more. Yeah, so everything was just almost pretty much everything was prompted, but there was so much work that goes into eyeballing and adjusting parameters. Uh, so this setting panels, I can't, you know, stress enough how important it is. I'm starting to really get the hang of We got one more. Let's see what Claude's doing.
Yeah, apparently there's some fixes, but who knows? Maybe it'll end up breaking it when I refresh because that's how [ __ ] happens. It's another good one. No, it's at 580. Still f fast. 3,300 425 315. All right, I'm gonna hit exit. All right, so let me hit refresh because apparently it did. Yeah, it's still doing this [ __ ] again where it's like you got to like refresh. H Yeah, I got to do this. I got to show this as a screenshot. how it's blank. I'm gonna um let me just close that out. Go back to laser. Yeah, it's doing this wash out thing again and it's pissing me off.
Oh well, I'll go back. Join open lobby. Phonx is waiting. He wants to beat me. What's up, Ahmed? Sometimes I'm noticing Is there anybody else in here? So, I need a like a live kind of view of the active players in here because I might just be myself. Yeah, that's a that's an obvious um issue I need to fix. So, yeah, obviously things need to be updated here. I'm back in the lobby waiting. What's now live? All right. Find or create open lobby. Re resurrects your own seat. Yeah, the finished game stuff. Yeah. So this whole thing where you refresh and the I the UI is hidden.
It's a web GPU and nit race. It gets stuck at this stupid 300 by 150 canvas default. Oh, it's so frustrating. All righty, we'll try this again. still 590 feet away. Yeah, I think when my game is in this error state, it's not working for a public lobby. Let me try this instead. I'm going to go over here to dev console application. Clear site data. Refresh. Yeah, see that fixed it. So there's some type of something to get ends up getting corrupt here. Ah, it's doing it again. Interesting. So I have to like refresh and now it's all bloomed the hell out.
Hopefully uh Claude gets in and tries to fix it. Let me refresh this. Maybe it's a an O issue. Yeah. So like when I sign in Does it go back to the error state? I think it does. Yep. All right. Got to tell Claude this. Okay. You know what I would like to do is um I want to create like a um what do you call a a typing game? make a 3JS typing game. Yeah, this sucks. Why the [ __ ] Well, what I could do is just log out. Refresh for now. I could play as guest.
Go back to private lobby. Do 10 rounds. Create an invite. I'm going to paste it in here. I think I play maybe one more round. It gives me enough to kind of go back and try to fix some stuff. Just this little hour I've been doing. See, this is the music. Can you hear it? I'm putting my headphones on the microphone. All right. Anyway, Can we get a third person? Let's go, man. I haven't streamed live streamed in a million years. All right, me and Neil will just go against each other. Let's do it. I'm playing as guest.
That's a good one. All right, we both got some points. Let me close that out. I really like the music, the background track. Oh yeah. Set 478 196. You know what's cool about these buildings, by the way, the whole city scene that it uh it comes from actual real cities, like some of the buildings of like the center of like real cities. Uh, nobody got points that time. All right. What is Claw doing here? Oh, it's working. Oh, that's a good one. Oh, that was sweet. 82 feet. Here we go. So, clearly there is skill based on this game.
316. I might be able to break my break the uh my current record. I think it's like 3,300. So, I got five more rounds. This is a slow one. Oh, that was almost a direct hit. That was a nice slow one. Let's see what Claude's doing. Committing and pushing. It's doing something. See if it fix some of those other errors. Oh god, this is fast. I think I'm going to be able to beat the high score. Hopefully, I can get over 4,000. Oh, that's nice. Oh, 3,800. I'm getting close. All right, here we go. I got 4,200.
Sweet. If anybody's watching, I want to play lasernuke.com. Hell yeah. 4600 points. If I hit exit, that should put me up at You can't just click the the low. When I hit exit, it should take you to the uh menu. Let me let me have it update that at the end of a match, if a person hits exit, it should take them to the main menu screen. Yeah, on that round I did uh Wait a second. Oh, it's because I wasn't signed in. That sucks. Let's see if this works because it's supposed to update it and hopefully fix [ __ ] No.
Oh, what do you know? Maybe I have to uh clear the cache here. Let me go to um control shiftr. there's something corrupt about something here. If I refresh after logging out, it's fine. From here, I'm going to go to clear site data. Refresh. Sign in. Go back to Google. It's going to mess up. Yeah, this is so strange. I wonder if this is happening to anybody else. Oh, well, it is kind of addicting, especially when you win all the time. I'm going to do I'm going to do it one more. Um, all right. We got a guest in here.
All right. No, Phonx. I am the guest. I forgot. All right. This is my last one. All right, last one. We got Phonx and Neil, my two hardcore players, man. Oh, this is a fast one. On the other side of the map, you got to go. I was still 800 feet away. Yeah, that is okay. So, I know for sure these are not rendering some of the uh actual explosions for the other players where they're happening in real time on the map. Oh, Neil just got 780 points. All right, I got some work to do.
There we go. Oh my god, Neil's getting better. 1300 points and I have a measly 269 points. All right. 700 point. Oh my god, Neil. I know what he did. He had Claude cook up some type of like auto aiming app. Oh my god. Two feet away. Okay, good. He was out too. What's Claude doing here? right, I got I made up a little bit of Oh boy, I need some direct hits here. Making it a little bit more interesting. I got three rounds left. Uh, he's still getting points. Shoot. I'm going to be I'm going to lose my winning streak.
Got to really focus here. One more round. It's not even possible for me now. There might be two rounds left if it counts. This is nine and then 10. Nope. This is last round. I lost. All righty. Where's it going to be? Son of a son of a Oh, phonics. I I got last place that time. You know what I would say? Uh for a oneweek project, this uh actually wasn't too bad. It was playable for the most part, and there's just tiny issues that need to be fixed. Um phonics, let's we need to go one more time.
I'm sorry. I cannot I can't allow you to beat me. I cannot just end with me losing. So, I'm going back to the the If anybody else wants to play one more time, I got to go to the gym, though. All right, there we go. 30 second countdown. Phonx, where you at? There you are. I'll just hit ready. Oh, we got a guest. We got four people. All right. Nobody leave Midame. It's going to break it. We're supposed to be fixed, but you know how that [ __ ] goes. I'm determined to win this time. [ __ ] That was a fast one.
See, everybody else is like really far, too. You know what? I should get points for just winning. Like even though I fell outside the 500 foot range see I'm getting no damn points even though I I get closest the last two rounds. That should be worth like at least a hundred points. Maybe I'll tell Claude right now. That's Oh, I got that one. Finally got some points here, people. Yeah, I'm telling Claude right now. Oh, wait. There's some other [ __ ] going on here. When you hit X at the end of match, what actually happens on screen?
Nothing. Okay. Um, at the end of a round, whoever is closest should get 300 points. I got closest again. Hell yeah. Oh, Neil got a good one, too. even if they are outside of the 500 ft zone. Okay, there. That'll be a thing. Oh yeah, things are restored to the proper order with me at the top at 1700. Although all it takes is just a couple like really close ones. Oh, 162. I got 368 or 386. The other people haven't got a single point yet. So, I guess there is a learning curve to this. 390.
Claude is working. Oh, Neil's getting close, too. There we go. Phonics got one. Yep. Last round 316. Neil got 713. There we go. That is the score. Super fun. That is actually fun. You know, I to make it even more fun, we probably integrate some different modes and stuff like that. Um, but yeah, that was fun. Um, let me see. Neil, okay, so high score is 28. Bonx and Neil. Yep, you're moving up there. Awesome. All right. Well, that was fun. I have enough uh for me to kind of work on and try to improve it.
Um for now, we've been already streaming for an hour and a half almost. I Yeah, we'll check out Claude one last time. Is there anybody who I don't know. I might I might do like I might potentially do a course on how I built this if anybody gives a crap. But maybe not. We'll see. I think I'll just do a proper um release video just get it, you know, what is like all the features that are supposed to be there and working working because that's not obviously the case now. But um you know, it would be interesting to see like okay, there's how many people are currently playing in a lobby.
Maybe put that right here. Yeah, I mean I already did one video last week on this, you know, what I was building. It was a earlier state. Um, I'm actually going to leave out of here, but it wasn't, you know, anywhere near what it is now. So, what I'm going to do is um like I said, try to finish it up to try to get rid of some of the errors and then I'll do a video on it and release it on YouTube and then just kind of consider it a done deal, you know. This is more for me just to experiment with like um 3JS and Claude in in the context of a game.
But yeah, all right. Thanks for participating along everybody and I'll be seeing you very very soon. All
