I just want to enjoy the experience. I've been really enjoying it thus far. Um already, you know, 10 year anniversary to Uncharted 4 as well. That game has a really good ending. That game has a uh fantastic ending. Like a godamn wonderful ending. Did you see the Toecon interview? Which one? Uh what if a tokcon interview came out over the weekend? That would definitely be weird. Um which one the hell? What the f? Xbox released the Lego Batman game early. What? No, I I missed out on that. I missed out on that. Finally MK2 say the movie was awesome. Hey, I'm I'm glad a lot of people are really digging the MK2 movie. It feels like they are. Um I didn't like it very much. I wasn't super into it, but I definitely thought it was better than the first MK movie. It doesn't feel like it's embarrassed to be a video game movie. But the fact that it's doing well and a lot of people are into it is great. That's literally what I don't want it to be unsuccessful. I want it to um I want it to lead to more stuff where I can eventually make a movie that I really like. That's pretty much my my feelings on like everything, especially NRS games where it's like, well, this game was not really for me, but I hope it leads to something that they eventually make that I really like, you know? Felt like it was a great setup for an insane third movie. Yeah. Well, it's clearly trying. They're trying to franchise that [ __ ] you know. Um, yeah. So, anyway, but that Kung Lao and Liu Kang fight was genuinely cool. genuinely very cool. That was my favorite part of the movie. What didn't you like about the MK2 movie specifically? I don't know if I want to go into that. I I don't think I like embellishing the um the stuff that I dislike about it a lot, but I thought a lot of the fights were very slow. I felt I felt like they were kind of like not they were like on half YouTube speed. uh if we're just talking about like the quality of the fighting and my biggest uh issue is that I didn't really vibe with um the characters and stuff and there's a clear main character of the movie and I wish it just spent more time focusing on that instead of trying to have like so yeah it was like all over the place. Is it Carl Urban? You would think No, you would definitely think that um you would definitely think that Johnny Cage is absolutely the main character in the movie. Yeah, you would think that. I would think that, too. Um, yo, Nate 64 Mario, thank you very much, dude. So, I'm glad it's doing well. I'm glad I had a good I'm glad it had a good opening. Had a good release. Um, I'm still hopeful for Street Fighter. I think the best thing that could happen is that the Street Fighter movie, you know, is just cheesy fun in some way because that's the way a lot of people are looking at MK2 where it's like, yeah, it's not the best movie, but people are having a really good time. And I think that's pretty much the best result for like a fighting game movie. I think that's kind of like the number one result. And I think my biggest thing is um I just want to give a [ __ ] I just want to care. I want to care. Why do Ryu and Ken like hate each other? I want to I want to care about Katana or Johnny Cage. I want to like I want to give a [ __ ] in some way. And for me personally, like I kind of I kind of give a [ __ ] in the old MK95 movie. They did a pretty good job of me actually like carrying that Liu Kang and his plight um carry through. I'm nervous that Johnny Cage is about to die to Goro. Like it's like damn, this [ __ ] is going to get killed. And it's like I I appreciate about those movies doing that stuff. I like caring, you know? That that's pretty much my my whole thing when it comes to nearly any movie nowadays is that I just want to I just want to have a lot of fun and I want to give a [ __ ] just just a little bit. I just want to care a little bit. But I want the movie to through its storytelling to take me somewhere where I'm not really I hate I hate uh one thing and this is not an MK thing just in general. Um I hate it when movies when I realize I'm watching a movie, you know? Uh cuz I have a pretty big suspension of like disbelief where if I'm in a film and I'm being absorbed by a film or like a game even like this, I I get transported my dude. like I I legit get taken off this goddamn planet. It was one of the reasons I like the Avatar movie so much outside of Avatar 3. I was reminded that was a movie several points in Avatar 3. Um I love those films because it was like, dude, this is taking me somewhere. I [ __ ] love this [ __ ] So yeah. Um that's all I'm looking for. And if you're asking me like what was what's a good example of a movie that does that, it was Hail Mary, dude. I've seen it multiple times in theaters. Um movies just godamn wonderful. Like Every single time I see it, I cry like four times in the in the whole goddamn movie. It's crazy, dude. I'm so in I'm so there during that entire movie. I just have such a great time watching it. But I was like, that's why I'll have to test around some of this stuff. just an unlocking the limiter in the Carcosen modifier to unlock easy mode. Uh I don't even I haven't even seen that. I don't even know what that is. When did you play mixtape and if so many review of it? No. No, I haven't played Mixtape. Uh it's a hard to stream game so I've kind of stayed away from it, you know. Is the game worth the money? Soros so far. It's great. You sure this is enough time to beat Sorrowos? No, I'm not sure. I'm not sure at all. All I all I know is that I have to keep playing it. It's actually my game of the year. I have almost zero complaints about any part of that game. Almost like zero. Um, we'll see if that changes as time goes on cuz like Grand Theft Auto's coming out and [ __ ] like that. We'll see. Soros, haven't beaten it yet. I ain't beaten it yet. I ain't beaten it yet. If anything, uh, Pragmata being as good as it is was more cemented after I had to go back and play RE9 again because RE9 was like probably my game of the year. Um, after having to go back and play a bit of RE9 again. Oh yeah, 100%. I think RE9's controls are actually not great. I think like even in comparison to the previous games that came before it, that that game controls a specific way for a specific reason, and I understand the narrative reason behind it, but god damn, dude. It's a it's a boat of a game uh for both characters and Pragmata controls like an old dad with a child on his back and it still controls like a dream. It's like oh my god the controls in this game are wonderful dude. Holy [ __ ] The controls are so wonderful in this game. It's crazy. So yeah, something about like the way Pragmat is designed as a video game. the stuff that you take you take for granted, you know, like audio design and and gameplay and controls and [ __ ] it just goes away completely. It's insane. What's the nar narrative reason? He's old. Narrative reason is that he's old. Uh, and she's green. That's it. That's the narrative reason. So yeah, I legit don't I after playing that RE9 mode, I honestly feel like the system they have in place for RE9 as a game uh doesn't really fit with a mercenaries mode. Like I'll be real, it kind of it kind of fits with him engaging like one or two enemies at a time. It feels like that, but it does not feel like RE4 where or even like RE5 where it wants you to engage like a lot of [ __ ] all at once. It's like none of the maps really support it. And the way like the camera works and the way the characters control do not necessarily feel like this would be fun. It doesn't feel like this would work out necessarily unless you really design the game. However, um I mean they were able to figure out a way to make it work in Ari Village. I didn't play it very much in that, but um I don't know if Ara village actually had a super high quality mercenaries mode. You know, Leon must die was using mouse to aim and shoot. No, mouse to aim and shoot and first person mode is actually the ideal way of playing the game. Yeah, it's actually like better, you know, for the most part. It just doesn't look nearly as cool. So, we'll see. I don't know. I'm I'm very curious how they would make RE9 work um in a mercenaries like setting because it's a very arcadey style gameplay and the game just does not have arcadey style gameplay, you know, like yeah, it's fun. You can play as lady and village. That's cool. Lady D, that's cool. The zombies aren't tanky either. Yeah, that's a good point. Yo, Gould, thanks for the nine months, dude. Uh, anyway, it was interesting. That's all I'll say is that it was interesting to go back to RE9 after like a couple of months away from it and revisit my thoughts on it after playing Pragmata. It was kind of like eye opening where I was like, whoa, okay. I think Pragmata just knocks this [ __ ] out of the park, dude. Did you ever try R4 VR? It was cinema. Oh, you mean R4 remake VR? No. history. No, and that's like exclusively on PSVR 2, right? Yo, thank you, Muka. Appreciate it. How's Mortal Kombat 2? Uh, it's getting very good reviews. People dig it. People dig it. You did try it. RE4 remake VR. Did we actually try it on stream? I do not remember that. I don't remember that. You're going to try the more enemy mod on B9 PC. That's what I'm saying is that even adding more enemies, which was the thing I wanted, I don't think it fits with the game's design, like I legit don't. Um, after after playing like kind of higher fast-paced mode at like we did, and it's like, "Oo, maybe this is not what I was looking for, you know?" No, no, chat. That was RE4 VR. That was like the Oculus version or some [ __ ] No, no, no, no. We're talking about RE4 remake VR, which Capcom just gave us for free. They just put that in the game, you know? He did both. I forgot. I probably would not be able to play RE4 remake in VR too much. That [ __ ] messes with my head. Yeah, I don't think we did R4 remake VR. I don't think we did. I did the the one that was on PC before R4 remake even came out because again, yeah, there's multiple versions of RE4 remake now. Oh, I definitely got [ __ ] up. I did the metal one. Yeah, whatever the hell it's called. That same [ __ ] I definitely got messed up playing that [ __ ] dude. Having to look down and do all this [ __ ] I was like, "Whoa, holy hell." Yeah, it was the one for Facebook VR. Yeah, you get bad motion sickness in VR. You got to get used to it. I was way better at um VR motion sickness at the end of RE7. I was way better. I was way more acclimated. It like sank itself into me just a little bit. But when you take some time away from VR and you come back to it, ass gets tore up. Holy [ __ ] man. It's crazy. Like that was the that's why PSVR2 ultimately failed because they they for some reason decided that this [ __ ] just won't work with the old [ __ ] What? Like even if it just runs the same. What? It was the It's like It's like the same weirdass Sony fumble when they try to You can only use our proprietary memory cards on our handhelds and [ __ ] And then they would charge you an arm and a leg for the proprietary handheld memory card. HDR is on. It's actually on. That's the crazy thing. Smoothness. That's nice. Um, uh, HDR is turned on. So, my my screen, I'm seeing the mega HDR signal, and on your guys' screen, you're seeing just normal PlayStation 5. Um, this is something that's only kind of supported in newer like HDMI 2.1 capture cards. Yeah. So, no goofy ass weird looking grayscale image, no funky contrast, all that kind of [ __ ] The uh the color tone mapping in newer capture cards is really smart and it gets it like close like very close so you can have proper HDR on one signal and when it goes into this thing it looks good. Like I was I was capturing things in both one direction and the other and I was like HDR on HDR off and holy [ __ ] I was like damn I have I have not ever been able to experience games with HDR on. I just wasn't. How expensive was it? So the one that I'm using right now I think it was about 150. It's the Aver Media internal uh HDMI 2.14K. You know check this really quick. Why didn't you do that? I heard crazy. Yeah, you weren't. Let me see this. We did play this a couple years ago. You're right. We played it very briefly. Damn. You're right. We We did actually play RE2 remake VR. See, you guys have better memories than I do about this [ __ ] because you guys have only seen so much [ __ ] that we've done and I've seen and lived everything. So, I definitely have to push some of that [ __ ] out. Um, yeah, it's the internal a media uh 4K 2.1. Uh, and it is not bad. You find the Relink expansion? Oh, the uh the RPG game. I don't know. We'll see. So on my end, damn, bro. Like the anything that is actually light in this scene on my end doesn't look like the way it does on your guys' end. To my [ __ ] ass, it looks like actual light. Like, it's crazy. Does it mean you're done with the Elgato? Um, yeah. I don't have it in there right now because the Elgato Mark I doesn't support it. But if to me frame rate is everything, I will gladly sacrifice um I will gladly sacrifice HDR and better image quality on my end so that you guys can actually get uh more smooth 60 fps signal. Really impressed by the soul shading. Added to the characters breathes new life. Thank you. Uh team ended development about a year ago, like a little over a year ago, a little under a year ago maybe, and we released several patches, um added new compatibility, added new modes, and we enhanced several things from the initial release. Yeah. Yeah. Why not 120? Uh chat, so here's the problem with fluctuating 120, and it happened last night. I was playing the PC capture was set to 120, the game was 60, and the capture looked like [ __ ] So, when you guys are looking at 120 fps signal um and it goes into a capture card, the frame timing will never be good. Like, I I'm almost coming to a conclusion of this. Almost never. So, regardless, for me, it looks amazing, but on your guys' end, every single time it hits a frame timing that is 60 fps, which is what a Twitch stream, YouTube stream is, it's going to hit the wrong frames every once in a while. Even if there's a small fluctuation in the frame rate, it'll hit the wrong frames and be kind of [ __ ] Uh, and that's just what I've run into. The how do you solve that? You put your PlayStation at 60, you put your PC at 60. If you guys are sitting home doing your own thing, it literally matters not. But I have to split this signal a billion different directions. Um, and I want it to look as good as possible. And to me, it's like, do I need 120 FPS and above? Do I need like do I do I need that? I don't do would it make me feel good if I had 120 fps and you guys had a compromised streaming experience? To me, that's exactly what I do not want. It's literally what I don't want. I want the stream experience to be the best it possibly can be. Uh while I get the best hopefully, you know, thing as a result of all this [ __ ] too. So, is the Famitsu article about tokon translated? People are talking about it. You turn off ALMM and VR on your PS5. Yeah, me too. I do it for the sake of capture. But the cool part, once again, this is something that benefits me. A completely un uninterrupted, uncompromised streaming image. And on my end, I get HDR signal. Woo! Godlike, dude. Godlike. Um, it's mad cool. I'm just having a great time. What was the new HDMI switch called? Oh, I mean, I don't recommend it. And that ended up not being my issue is what I found out. If you guys just wanted to get a really good splitter that likely will never give you any problems around man. Where is it? Where is she? There it is. This [ __ ] is great. And it's not even that expensive. You can get this for under 50 bucks. Um, this shit's great. So, the Oay uh Oay 8K 1x4 HDMI splitter with audio extraction. And this is you can just get this on Amazon. This is a good splitter. Just a very good splitter. And this will this won't even break your bank. This is like 50 bucks. Um, I, you know, because I'm, uh, a perfectionist and I want to like try to eliminate as many problems as possible, I went with the the super route and this is just the much more expensive version of that. Higher quality parts, like all that kind of [ __ ] because I'm splitting my signal in so many different directions and I want the higher quality streaming experience. So, yeah. Will that bypass the PS3 anti-capture measures? No. No. If you want to if you want to remove HTCP from a PS3, you need a specific uh splitter that does that. And you can still look them up. They exist. I literally have one splitter that's coming out for my PS3 and then it goes to all my other [ __ ] so that we can even stream PS3 cuz it's a goddamn nightmare, dude. Goddamn nightmare. So anyway, um I get to play Sorrowos for the first time today. Uh, I get to play my PS5 with HDR on. It's crazy. I actually get to play my PS5 with HDR on for the very first time. I know this is like this is old [ __ ] for you guys, but to me it's like I have specifically had to have my ass in the past so that I could even stream some of this [ __ ] And yeah, you know, you've barely ever seen HDR. Most streamers never have. It's true, Nico. Most streamers like if if they are dude like you can tell like you you can tell if they're streaming with HDR on because their capture signal looks so funky and that's just been the history of it. You just can't stream with HDR because the colors are all wrong. It either looks gray or funky or some [ __ ] you know? So yeah, like on my OLED on my on my 4K 120 Hz OLED, holy [ __ ] dude. This looks crazy. It looks so like it it adds depth. It literally looks like my [ __ ] ass is looking at something that's 3D without 3D goggles. It doesn't look like I'm looking at a screen that's flat. It actually has light depth to it. It's like, whoa, that's [ __ ] weird, dude. And again, the biggest one is that when I go to certain areas, especially in this area, the lights look like real lights. like on an OLED. The that little light that's to the left of his shoulder right now on my screen looks like an actual illuminated light, not like a flat screen, like an actual [ __ ] light. It's very cool. So, I wish and it it bugs me because I'm like, I wish I could stream this, you know? I wish it was possible to stream this this image quality. It's just not like it's just so much more data and no browsers or even YouTube players really support it as of right now. How does HDR mess with streams? Uh cuz it's a completely different color format. They look all [ __ ] up. Yeah. You you ever seen people's streams where they look like really washed out? It's because they have HDR on and it's the the normal bit signal that's coming through like the regular one and not the HDR signal. So anyway, very cool. I just get to actually experience this game for the first time right now. HDR is monitor specific. Yeah, you need to have a monitor that supports it. And depending on the monitor, you know, they can be varying levels of quality. Either way, game looks amazing already. An OLED is a massive upgrade visually. like a absolute huge upgrade over uh the previous whatever TV, whatever thing you have. And OLED with HDR on is like, holy [ __ ] this [ __ ] crazy, dog. It's really cool looking. It's really cool looking. I have never seen this exit. What the hell is this? FF7 remake looks good with HDR. I should probably see that [ __ ] Hold up. Oh, this is here. Uh So yeah, the way I've been playing this game has actually made it like slightly more difficult by not going back and beating previous bosses and becoming stronger before the next boss. I kind of like that. It's actually made the game slightly more challenging to me by just checkpointing, going to the checkpoint, moving forward, you know, going to the checkpoint, moving forward. Um, I've sort of enjoyed that. I kind of like that I have to go back and revisit some areas several times. It's made it kind of fun. It's made it so that I'm actually engaging with some of the game mechanics like um uh like the the stat buffs and nerfs. Actually had to engage with that in like a normal way. But I'm very curious how this shit's going to play out if you do a full run. I'm very curious, you know. Do you ever play with VR 120 Hz while off stream? You'd rather stick to streaming settings? Uh well, I barely play anything off stream. What about Sorrows versus Returnal? Uh, Returnal definitely asked a lot more of you. You know, Returnal definitely asked a lot more out of you cuz I had to repeat a lot of stuff in Returnal over and over and over again. Dude, some biomes in this game I played once. legit once.
