Summary
Maximilian Dood anchors a long, chaotic live stream where Invincible Versus play sessions collide with MKX chaos and offhand pop culture tangents. He tests new PC hardware while chatting about Invincible’s meta, Eve’s assist being “pretty much the best thing in the game right now,” and the quirky dynamics of breakers and tag mechanics. The crew punctuates the session with lively debates about Star Fox 64 remakes, retro hardware like the N64 controller, and how modern visuals compare to retro puppetry aesthetics. They also slice through current gaming news: Nintendo Switch price hikes, Summer Game Fest predictions, and Pragmata/RE9-style design reflections. Between matches, they volley opinions on fighter game design, the viability of four-player teamups, and the tension between classic arcade feel and contemporary balance. It’s a no-holds-barred, fan-service livestream where friends roast, praise, and geek out about strategy, hardware, and pop culture all at once.
Key Takeaways
- Eve assist remains the dominant pressure tool in Invincible Versus, with back-up projectiles that double as a natural combo breaker and wall-bounce potential.
- The panel debates Star Fox 64 remakes, weighing nostalgia against modern visuals and arguing for a 'retro puppet' aesthetic versus current Unreal/Star Wars vibes.
- Switch price hike is confirmed with a four-month notice (effective September 1st), shaping early-adopter buying windows for 2026.
- Pragmata and RE9 comparisons surface: the crew notes pacing, arcade feel versus cutscene weight, and how modern remakes should balance horror pacing with action variety.
- AOS-style discussions on Marvel vs. Capcom-like flow surface—players speculate on true block strings, breaker timing, and the impact of assist chaining on offense.
- The crew muses about potential DLC and future crossovers (e.g., Star Fox era discussions, Predator cameos, and MK movie nods) to keep fans engaged beyond the current releases.
- Hardware chat ranges from the PS5 DualSense quirks to PC fighting-game setups, including control schemes (motion vs. standard) and the ergonomics of long sessions.

Transcending history and the world. A tale of dudes and souls eternally retold. We all need to shine on to see how far we come on our journey. me to go searching for deep in the night. I pray in my heart for that special life to show me with love. Show me with power. Got to get to the edge of car to carry on. Even my heart. Yo, what's up, dudes? Oh, no. There's nothing at all. Doge. He's zooming on the doge. He's doing. Oh, hi. Hello. Uh, mic's working. Are we good? Are we all good?
I got new hardware. Um, so we got to play some like fighting game stuff. I need to like test things. I need to stream for a long time. Uh, so we'll play We're going to play uh more Dark Stalkers. We're going to play Darkstalkers 3 is back, baby. Bloody games. Dark Stalkers, Invincible Versus, and like Mortal Kombat, stuff like that. We're going to play bloody stuff. and on PC where it will, you know, I get to test out some new hardware [ __ ] Anyway, hi TNS MKX. Did you see it? I saw a little bit of it.
Yeah. Not not all of it. I didn't see like character variety wasn't that high, but you know, it was good. Okay. I've been I've been watching the invincible tournaments and it's been pretty interesting. Uh game is like breaker soon, isn't it? Devil Breaker's around the corner. Yeah, it's like the 24th, something like that. It's pretty close. Soon anyway. Yeah, there's too many marks. Yeah, Mark Mark is all over the place. He's easily the best. Mark is just so good. Mark's just everything. He is extremely good. He's I got lows. I got overheads, you know. Lowe's overheads.
The invincible punch. Invincible punch is the is the thing. But as soon as you pair Mark up with like really good assists like Cecil or um and I I was saying this in the previous beta, I'm like this Eve assist is degenerate as [ __ ] And there was another assist that was degenerate as [ __ ] It was Monster Girl, but they changed it. Monster Girl used to drop from the top of the screen and lead to a big bounce her full combo and I'm like dude how do I stop that like I can't hit her like so she would go boom and and then the guy would just linger and wait it was it was crazy.
So that got toned down but the EVA assist did not and the EVA assist is now like woo really good. So now Eve assist needs to get toned down. Eve assist is pretty much the best thing in the game right now. Yeah. So what I've seen is disgusting. Yeah. She she backs up fires the projectile. The projectile hits you against the wall, bounces you. So, what's good about it is that if you get hit, Yeah. that still came out. I like you called the assist, but you got hit. The assist still came out and the projectiles on screen knocks the person as a natural combo breaker and then you get the punish.
Wow. You have to be very [ __ ] careful around her. Yeah. Yeah. I get you to be extremely careful you. So, is getting hot on. Yeah. Oh, wow. Look at that. If you do that with her on the floor, she won't she won't go for it. She won't go pee pee. Pee. She won't go pee. How do you get back? Fishing. I'll give her back to you. That's enough. That's enough tearing up my arm arm. There you go. Yeah, she bity. Yeah, she's sharp. She's nibbling. Sharp. Sharp biting. Got the sharp teeth. You got the sharp teeth right now.
I remember my dogs did not have that sharp teeth. Trooper, thank you. Puppy. Yeah. Yeah, they got the the puppy sharp teeth. They're going to fall off eventually. It's six months. Six or eight months. You said six or eight. Dude, his dumb face when he said that didn't work. You did the wrong way. No, I didn't. I didn't want to say it. I didn't want to say it. What happened this week? Things happened. Oh, yeah. Things did happen. Bar stocks. Well, first off, I know Starbucks. Oh, yeah. And I know I know for Right into his mouth.
Not in the mouth. Right into his mouth. Have you ever had a dog eat you in your mouth? Yes. It's horrible. Do not do Steve's chin neck. You've never had a dog a small dog stick their foot in your mouth? Yeah. Not their foot. He's got cute little paws. Look at that. They got cute little paws. Mouth. Star Fox. I love the fact that they're making Star Fox 64 again. We mentioned that. It would be amazing if they made Star Fox 64 again. Again. I was so mad at you. I'm actually cuz like I saw it and then I was like, "Oh, wait.
I got the perfect response to this. Max had already done it." Uh the Clinton could have put the the Matrix guy in there. What was it? Uh we have remade Star Fox 64 four times now. We are becoming exceedingly efficient at it. He already did it. So novel. Now the other good one is that uh somebody says, "All right, you got to tell me which one is Star Fox 64." And the person shows a picture of all these games and they're like, "They're all the same one. That's my bad. I should have made it harder." Oh yeah, that one.
Ludicrous. Thank you. I I I liked the the remake idea. I think like you know actually focusing on the pop was a little was a was actually kind of cool like that's the cool part of it. Yeah. But then you know the look like he looks weird. So you know what they look like kind of the puppets. Do you guys remember a movie called Space Invaders? Space I that name sounds really they have the proportions of Space Invaders, right? Where they're like it's 3/4 top and like 1/4 bottom. Space Invaders. Here we go, brother. I'm about to blow your asses and your minds.
Was it like 80s? Oh, yeah. This one early 90s. I remember I remember there's a poster for this. Saw this at like movie stores forever in the 80s. Jack Nicholson, not a Jack Nicholson movie. So, there's this little movie called St. Lions. Yeah, I remember that. Star Fox. They literally I vaguely remember that they were like they were like the three ninjas of like spaced uh weird right where like I mean cuz they have renders they have official renders out where it's like yeah it's like 75% is above of their body is above the waist and 1/4 you know 25% is below the waist.
Yeah. The real question is Max how the hell do you remember that? I I was on I had HBO. Yeah. It was on all the time. This is HBO. Really? I just remember seeing this cover. Yeah, I remember the movie. I saw the movie. The movie. I remember I'm I'm 90% sure this is Drew Struzen. It probably is. Yeah. But this was back in the day when when when you would have like officially drawn artwork movie posters. Yes. And I I just remember seeing this all the time. So yeah, they they kind of have like Star Fox proportions.
They really tried to like Teenage Mut Ninja Turtles this this movie. Like they tried to make it like a homegrown thing where it was just like teenage. No, they're it's called Space Invaders cuz they're all dumb. that's the problem is that they're stupid aliens. It's kind of like cone heads. Yes. Before cone heads. But cone heads are kind of smart. They're just like cone heads were so anyway the movie came out in the 90s. All I'm saying is that Yeah, it's sort of similar, right? It's like not that much different. What's also got to The other thing too is that Wow.
Star Fox is based on Thunderbirds. And and having like little puppets where you don't see their bottom half very much. So Yeah. It's So now we see their bottom half and we're disgusted. We're horrified. We get to see their legs and their feet and you're like, "Wait a second." I remember showing JJ this trailer and I'm like, "Jay, there's a new Star Fox game." She's like, "What?" Like light in her eyes. And then I'm like, "Just watch." And so she's just starts watching it and she's like, "Wait, it's just Star Fox 64 again again." And she got immediately like, "Dude," she immediately got mad where it's like again like um well Star Fox 2 on the Super Nintendo didn't go so well, right?
Well, it never came out. It just like it never technically came out, but even when it did, it was just like, "Oh." So the most successful Star Fox is Star Fox 64. It sold 4 million copies. Absolutely. Star Fox one sold 2 million. Everyone that came out after that sold less than that and less and less and less and less and less. The one that Yeah. And honestly, Star Fox's biggest franchise is Smash Brothers. What was the Star Fox where he got out of the spaceship and then like went around and did adventures. We played it.
Oh, we just played it not that long ago. That was not It was not good. So, every time they try to do Well, assault we played where he gets out of the ship. That was not good. Adventures is totally fine, but it was never meant to be a Star Fox game. They forced they shoehorn Star Fox. Yeah, Miiamoto shoehorned it and forced, "Hey, this character looks like Fox. Make it a Star Fox game." Okay. You know, well, our our our fantasy adventure game has has nothing to do with space. I guess Star Fox, cuz there's only one anthropomorphic fox in the world.
Um, so Assault was Yeah. No, we we played Assault. Yeah, Assault like we had we were on the wrong control scheme. The problem is is that like it's not like it isn't a rail shooter. None of the Star Fox is like afraid to be rail shooters. Yeah. And I read something that like cuz I remember when they announced it, it was for the Triforce arcade hardware. It was supposed to be an arcade game. So apparently Assault was meant to just just be a multiplayer arcade title, which makes sense. And then it got shifted in development.
The arcade game got scrapped and they had all these non all these multiplayer arena maps. Yeah. So they're like, well, they basically kind of like shoehorned in a a single player campaign mode around a bunch of maps that were meant for multiplayer. Band Mode did. Yeah. Band Mode. Yeah. And what Star Fox Assault ended up kind of being is the Star Wars prequels of Star Fox games because all all of the zoomers below us who were 6 to 11 when Star Fox Assault came out have nothing but rose tinted glasses for it. Think it's the greatest thing ever.
And it's basically the prequels and and all the people younger than us. It has great music. It has pretty dang good visuals for the time. The one thing I noticed is that after Star Fox 64, no games are able to get the size, scale, and feel of rail shooting, right? Like Star Fox Assault, we had like immediately like this feels weird. Yeah, it's slow. It's weirdly slow. It's way it's slower. Specifically, the the Rwing missions. Even the Rwing missions, which are straight rail shooter missions, are like slower. Yeah, maybe they get faster later on, but like where I'm like, this does not feel as good.
And then the stuff that happens in Star Fox Adventures was also like, okay, it's okay, but it was like added last minute. Exactly. Like it was never meant to be there. So anyway, it's it's funny that it's like I really wanted them to be like, dude, what could you do with a modernday rail shooter? Like if you're going to make one of these one of these very '9s AF games nowadays, games don't play like this nowadays, right? No. if you make this nowadays, what do you do? And we were like, we were talking about it, four player.
We were like, dude, what if we all team up and take on a mission and do team up attacks with each other and stuff like that? Like, they did have four player back in uh versus mode. Yeah, the versus mode. So, that I mean, damn, that was even in I think Super Nintendo, too. Super Nintendo had four player versus mode, too. So, immediately Super Nintendo had four player. No, it didn't. That game ran at 15 frames on one N64 had four player. It was the N64. Okay. Yeah, it was either one of the two. the uh immediately to me it was like dude there's four characters like instead of just Fox helping everybody out how much better would it be if like you all worked together like if you actually worked together okay so what I think's really going on here with this game is that I think Nintendo was maybe getting a little maybe had a little foresight looked at their hardware and said okay games take this long to make they take this many people to make them you know they take this many men hours we need to find ways to make games for the system that are not going to take 5 years.
True. How can we get a a a two-year game out or a one and a half year game out? And they're like, "Well, Star Fox, we take the blueprint of a game that's already done. The levels the level design bel to be fair, it's $50." Yeah, it's cheap. So, it's cheaper. They're they're not they're not charging 70 or $80 for the game, but it is which is like good, but it's not that's crazy that they release a system and don't have any games for it. So, they have to rush games out and be like, "Okay, well, we need to put something." They're not rushing games.
They released with a Mario Kart, there was Donkey Kong Bonanza, there was Hyrule Warriors, there was Kirby Air Rider, there was Metroid Prime, but it runs into the same problem of like there was Poptopia. It runs into the same problem of your favorite game. Oh, am I again of Link uh Link's Awakening? Where it's just like Yeah. You you know exactly what's going to happen. There's zero surprises. Like there's no innovation really. It's the whole point of it is just to be like a carbon copy. The one thing that got me excited in the trailer, I couldn't tell if it was just funky editing, but they show the James sequence of his dad getting gunned down and stuff and it's like this is kind of neat.
And I'm like, oh, but it's cut kind of weird. I wonder if that means it's playable. If it's playable, then this is worth it. It's not. Well, I'm saying if it is, then it's worth it. Like, that's actually really cool if you enhance the old experience in some way where you play as James. And I I think it won't be just because they put so much there's so much cut scene there. Also, it's oh, you're going to play a level and then you beat the level and then you lose. Because everyone everyone complains about that.
The beginning of revenge. That happens in video games all the time. People like, I hate I hate playing a boss. I beat it and then the boss beats me in the cut scene after I No, it's I think it said something. I think that's pro. I don't know. To me, it's just like, hey, cool cut scene. Like, I mean, when it comes to Star Fox story-wise, like, what else can you do? Like, Andros is the bad guy. You go find Andros, you take They've never done anything else. Very infrequently done anything else. What else do you do?
Like, what was what was the premise in the the the games where he got out of the ship and actually ran around and did stuff? What did he do? Well, in Assault, it was again, it was a completely different game that was not even a space game. They just shoehorned it in. Yeah. Yeah. He was just out of his like nobody wants to see him outside of the ship. So doing the [ __ ] You know what? I don't even I don't even mind that. I I I think it's better if you have here's rail shooter and then hey, we we have this game which is a completely different genre.
It's over here. It does its thing and then then you still have the rail shooter. I don't know. Star Fox with a gun always seemed weird to me. Like he's running around with a gun and you start shooting. Well, he doesn't have a gun in Adventures. Oh, okay. What does he have? A stick. He has a staff. Yeah, he has a staff. That's cute. He took from Crystal. Yeah, it's what staff crystal staff. So like a lightsaber originally the character we both did. It was really hard. Oh well. So originally there was supposed to be two characters.
It was Saber and Crystal. Saber had a sword. Crystal had a staff. Got rid of Saber. Saber was thrown out of the game. Fox replaced the Saber. Crystal just Oh [ __ ] They just fridged her for the whole game and then they just gave Fox. So, what happened to the females that were in the Star Fox Super Nintendo game? Because there were two females, I believe. That the the was it a poodle? Something like that. There was a poodle and and a Lynx Link and a poodle or Lynx and a sheep or something. Anyways, uh the game never came out.
So, the characters don't really exist. Yeah, they did. It did technically did come out. It did. It's on Star Fox 2. Yes, Star Fox 2 did technically come out. Technically, it came out on the took 20 years. Yes, it's on the SNES mini and it's on the Nintendo online. It is in Switch. [ __ ] is on the Switch. Like I can play on You can play it on Switch now on their on their if their subscription service. But yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that game is hard. That game was hard, man. But yeah, if you think 50 bucks is too much, take a look at Tactics Remaster.
Exactly. Like that. Hey, that was um Tactics Remaster was greatly enhanced multiple times. you know, you know, you know what was weird? Somebody mentioned it, dude. When they when they chime in and they talk to you, it doesn't go. It doesn't make the sound. They just they just pop up and start yapping. It doesn't make a like that weird. You want your charm back? Yeah. It needs it needs something. You need that charm. That sound effect needs to come back. I think the voice acting is kind of weird in the new one, too. Do you also want them to go?
I mean, I mean, there was an option. Yeah, they had a toggle. They had a toggle for like, you know, like retro and what you're saying, Simmons, the issue is a lot of the voice acting is played pretty straight. It's played straight. It's played very straight. Played straight like a 2000s anime now. It's kind of boring. And Star Fox 64 has some of the most quotable lines in video games ever. Like to a barrel. Well, I mean, it's super over the top, too. Like very over the top. Best one is cocky little freak. Yeah. Yeah.
Exactly. Yeah. So, they the lines I mean, you little freak. The thing is, too, Einstein, I'm on your side. They change that cuz they're like, "Hey, genius, I'm on your side." Like, why is there no how would Einstein be in this universe? Oh my god. Who you think about it too much? It's a It's an Animal Einstein. How hard is that? Right. Yeah, exactly. The The toughest thing about this game, it comes out after the movie and after like Star Fox looks so cool and so neat in the Mario movie and then he comes out here and he doesn't look cool.
He looks like a space invader. Yeah, he looks like a space puppet. Not my favorite. What? What did he say? He said he said your daddy scream. I'm like, damn. Dad's not here to see you fail. Like, what is your best pepy old pal? Oh, man. Bro, they just daddy scream real good the day he died. So again, uh um that that is even kind of strange because it was only him, the frog, and um Pepe and Peppy in that flashback of the dad. So how did the others know about that, too? So that's No, it was just Pepe and the dad in the flashback.
that that guy wasn't Fox. That was that was Fox. That was Fox's dad, right? So how did he know that? Fox and James. And it wasn't Pepe. That was Piggy. Piggy. Pigma. Oh god. This character is Why is it Why isn't Pepe a hot frog? Woo! Pepe was a hot frog. Hot girl frog in Star Fox 64. What? Yeah, Slippy. Oh, sorry. Slippy. Yeah, Slippy. I was looking at Pepe. Wait, what's going Slippy? Not a hot female frog like she was in Star Fox 64. Slippy's actually a dude. No, dude. That was a grill. Oh, Slippy.
She had a sultry voice. You got a sweet sultry froglike voice. What is happening right now? I have no idea what's going on right now. Slippy was mega hot. I need to go all Jurassic Park on you. Life finds a way. Life away. But Slippy's actually a dude. First Shiva, now Slippy. Oh my god. Jesus, man. All I know is that I'm actually kind of excited for it. I think it's a good I I think it's fun. I think it'll be fun. I just wish we could have all been characters and like did a mission together.
And the only way we can do that is if we play like domination online and that's but it's like three maps and it's all free range and I don't the free range parts are the they're not even dog fights. They're the weakest part of Star Fox. I mean I I honestly think the multiplayer looks looks bunk in it honestly. There's like oh there's collect there's a collect [ __ ] there's like a a capture capture the flag and then there's like and then there's like a domination modeish thing and then like that's it and it's like three maps only one for each mode and I'm like forget this this like like dude we play we're going to play this like once and then like never again Steve so yeah we feel good we want to play it we're all going to buy it the f the my favorite my favorite spot my favorite uh mission was the Independence Day mission You guys remember that?
That's the free range mission. That was so sick, man. Like you you could actually play Independence Day. You know what would have been? And a really cool take on this. And we just we saw it like what is that one crazy like very ' 80s looking anime game that's coming out on orbitals. They they captured the visual style of like anime in the 80s so well down to like frame rate and all that stuff. Yeah. My question to you is what if Star Fox looked like '7s era Star Wars, right? What if they tried to go and here's the crazy part.
That's what Star Fox was. Yeah. Hold on a second. Well, dude, the music. You listen to the music and it's hella Star Fox. Like hella Star Wars. Star Fox. Star Wars. If you spell Fox backwards, it's War. Well, to to be fair, that's that's 64 backwards. The OG Star Fox game had a very techno upbeat soundtrack. Uh, Star Fox 64 forward went with with a Star Wars orchestral. So, what I'm saying is that like old Star Fox, this is rough. It's is Star Wars AF. It looks like Captain Eio, dude. Like, yeah, it it looks like that that level of like visual fidelity.
What if they made a game that looked like that? Oh, man. That would be cool. I think that's kind of what they're going for. I but the game doesn't look that way. Like the game the game clearly looks like What did you want the game to do? I wanted to to actually look like Mad Dog McCree like where it's like real. No, no, no. You mean I mean visual style look like that. This is that's what they're going for. It doesn't look like that. I'm not saying they're I'm not saying they achieved it, but I'm saying it absolutely is seems to be what they're going for.
No, no. The way they render the ships is the Bandai Namco [ __ ] They're all techno Gundam [ __ ] M like I'm saying like what if you root it back and take it back to like what like like what Alien Isolation did was to bring things back to the old way things kind of were old tech. You want analog? I want Yeah, I want analogy. And that that would have looked [ __ ] crazy cool. Yeah, that actually would have been a really interesting way to go. For example, remember you remember Captain Neo, right? The part where like the ship is going through all the crazy stuff look like that.
try to make it visually look like that, you know. Yeah. You want like the analog retrofuturism. Exactly. Yeah. That I think that would have been a much more like Raiders does. Arc Raiders. Yeah. Arc Raiders in Starfield a little bit for for that sort of future. It's like it's the way that they lit those models. I want it to look like models is what I'm trying to say. I want the ships. I want the engagements. I want things to look like they are green screened in. Like visually it looks like you're playing old Star Wars in that old like superimposed way that they would do it and [ __ ] It's like that would imagine how [ __ ] cool if it looked like old Star Tours.
Yeah. Well, oh yeah, that's a good one. Anyway, yeah, I don't know how you would do that with with modern tech though because that that was just it's realistic. I mean that was a model you wanted to bring back. Exactly. Well, you just do realistic lighting, realistic rendering, and they they specifically put put the sun and the lights in specific places. Like when you when they had Hoth and [ __ ] like that, dude, there's already a level that's like very Hothike that they showed in the trailer that is like, "Wow, that looks really cool." And then the other stuff just kind of looks like very cartoony kind of like Star Fox Assault visuals.
And I'm like, "Yeah, this is kind of the way it's always looked." And I'm like, I think the characters design is one thing. I'm saying the visual aesthetic of the game, it just kind of looks like every other game, just a bit better now. It It looks It looks like an Unreal 5 game or whatever. You want them to bring back puppets? Puppets? Uh I don't know. No, no, that's they they did that for the previous game in their marketing. They bring back puppets. Yeah. Yeah. Going the Star Fox. Hold on a second. Let me see if I can pull up a good example.
The Star Fox in the Mario Galaxy movie looked better than what they were showing off in the than the trailer. I would want it to look like this. Like recreate this visual style, Where it looks like models. Like visually. And when it's moving and doing stuff, like it actually has like a super tangible kind of look to it instead of just being like, you know, very much kind of just looks like a new era of Star Wars or new era. The old microscope. Like even this [ __ ] like it'd be I think that's a cool visual style.
But it looks obviously retro now. So, dude, you know, and you got to buy your Switch soon, chat, because it's going up in price. Yep. Just like the PlayStation. Not as much. Did that already happen? It's No, not not for I I'll I'll give them a little bit of slack here. It doesn't matter. Once it's announced that it's going up, people will start um raising the price. Nintendo did did everyone a huge solid. They gave They gave us a four months notice. Oh, is it 3 months? Yeah, September 1st is when it goes up. Oh, wow.
They're giving you basically almost basically four months to get a Switch at its launch price. They say, "Get your money up. We'll give you time." You know, you have four months, which I think that's actually pretty generous of them to do that. Like to say like, "Hey, you have all you have all summer to to to get it before it goes up." And it's only going up 50. And not that it should go up, but like, "Hey, you know, that's the reality of the world you live in." Um, I'm tired of winning. I'll say the the thing that I think here's my I have the biggest my biggest honest take is this I don't think I don't think it's g they're going to have a June direct I don't think I don't even think that's happening first time in a long timestation was like 150 I I I feel like they're they're they're just going to wait till September but I think Nintendo should do a June direct I think Nintendo should buck the trend of like everyone's like hey announce games right before they're released.
No, no, no. Your system's going up in price and you've already indicated it's probably won't be the last time either. I think we need to go back to announcing games too early. People be like, "Oh, I hate it when they announce." No, now is the time to announce your product portfolio way out. So, you give people that 3-month window to go, here is what we are going to have. Oh, buy the system now. This will happen. You have three months to get it at this price. I think because we live in such a topsyturvy world of game consoles get more expensive over time, not less expensive.
We're upside down now. Since we're in upside downville, now is the time to like tease the Smash Brothers, tease the Animal Crossing, tease the next Zelda, tease all your all your big good [ __ ] By the way, the guy that talked about that, the Smash thing said everybody was misquing him. What Smash thing? The the there's a sm there's a potentially Smash in 2027 or something like that or a Smash teaser soon. There's like a rumor about it and he said everybody it's he said it's it it's not what he said was not that and everybody's misconstruing what he said.
He said he had a date and he was going to smash. So anyway he said it's like not he's like not a new game like I I did not say it was a new game a new Smash. I did not say that like stuff like that. Ultimate switch too happening. Um well sure FOMO but like also how many people are like oh I'm waiting I'm waiting for a game I want to be in. waiting for I'm waiting for the right moment. Like it goes up now. So now just get it now. Just just But show people now.
I think it's fine. They should show everything for this year, next year, and they should even tease 28 games. Like if it's like a big enough one like Zelda or something like it doesn't have to be much of a trailer. It could be a a tiny teaser, but I think they should go all out in June and be like, you have three months. Here is the here is the next two years of the system. Like the big [ __ ] that for the next two years, things you want to know. Yes, we're doing them. Here's like here's like a quick look at maybe the visual style we're going for.
Now it's the time to get it before it goes up. Yeah. Hey, what's up, dude? And what do you Hey, Heath. What up, Heath? How many other trailers have you watched this week? MK none one champion. What is there? Oh, he I was going to say there's no way these two sides. All right, so no way these Close your eyes. Actually, close your eyes. Trust trust. Close eyes. This No way they saw this. Oh, we're closing this. Close your eyes, not hold hands. Oh, I thought you said close your eyes and hold hands. I didn't know about this one.
Oh, yeah. All right. Cuz you're saying trailers, but I mean Okay. Wait, wait. No eyes open. If anyone is listening, this is Dr. Lily Pierce on planet LV558 in stores. Boon. Zenomorphs have overrun the colony. I repeat, overrun the colony. We're running out of air and people are dying. Send the marines. Help everyone. contact man through. They all got scared. Remember we played this guy? Pull the line. Poor guy. Looks we can all finally play at the same time. Yeah. Sorry that already. You know Oh, see a [ __ ] Damn. Back in. Yeah, the first game was amazing.
Yeah, like we all love it. We all love it. It's a sequel. It's a sequel with four players. I'm an engineer again. I thought they were It was an add-on. Oh, see that game was 5 years ago. You're 5 years ago. They got the robots again. And then we hear the music for the trailer. And then the music's going to be uh good music and then Sim's going to get mad at me because I don't like the music. Yeah, I will. Yeah, I will. But like you hear this trailer, this is the music I want to hear.
And then we played finally play together. Then we played the game and it's like also finally fighting the queen. You never fought a queen. We did it the other time. You got like a Prometheus queen. We got a Prometheian queen. A long ass time to be able to play man. Steve, I've got a way. I thought it was a DLC. Summer. Literally comes out in a month. Yes. a month. I want He just wants to be disappointed. Hey, show them the other trailer, Max. I'm excited. I'm going to be flamethrower. All right, calm. It's a big five minute one.
[ __ ] for. Steve. Bro, wait. What happened, bro? Bro, what happened? What happened? Have you seen it? Seen what? You are greatly misunderstanding what Steve likes. We But who's in that dog? Yeah. I mean, yeah. Have you seen this? Oh, I heard of I heard about it. I didn't see a trailer in that. Did you see it? No, I didn't. I just heard about it. Snoop Dog being in some uh wannabe uh GTA game or something. Simmons, what' I tell you? They all They're all trying to be They see the success of GTA. How did I know?
They're all choking on that freaking Games are popping out left and right. They're GTA like and I'm like, "Yeah, it makes sense. This is the era of the old one. It was the era of uh Sleeping Dogs and all this other stuff. There are good games. I'm not knocking it. It's just that, you know, everyone everyone sees a gravy train, they're going to hop on it. If it's not GTA 3, it's not for me. If it's not GTA 4, get it out the door. If it's not GTA 5, then they're un alive. Really good. That's pretty.
I was actually surprised in the in the the direct where I'm like Snoop's kind of like I know he's reading off the prompt, but he's kind of like into this. I guess his son got him into it. I saw I saw a picture of him in the game. I was like, w he's Well, it's not like a one to one. He's playing a character, but you know, he's he's getting he's getting up there. Well, yeah. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I know. He's 96 years old. Yeah, I know. At this point, but he's always been so skinny.
So, I just it's it's crazy to see him even age. Did you Did you hear how I think this game ends with like the other main character guy, whoever ends up being the guy with the hat, ends up having a kid and he's like, "My son, what do we name him?" Dang. And then it goes to credits. I found a place that kicks in. It ends like 3 years before he's born. I'm sorry. I thank you. And it all started from Shimu. Dang. I crossed that many times. Uhoh. What's your story? Just a pony for the cruiser.
Some things never change. Yeah, that's the only reason it's going to be like we're not hanging out with characters. Like we're going through 40 years plus in one game, dude. Like we're not hanging out with them in sequels and [ __ ] So it's a story about different timelines. It's an eras game. Gotcha. Gotcha. It's all about pretty much the the birth of the Yakaza. That is kind of the Yakuza in the I mean Yakuza is always going to have banger music. Yeah, this that picture right there was about this picture. I'm talking [ __ ] about Snoop, Steve.
I love Snoop. But god dang, you might watch the stream. Does he have a back hurt? Wow. God damn What is he doing here? You seen drinking the blood out of his enemies? Why not? It's also really good. Did you watch the direct on on how like the the game play is as a music producer? I saw the game play part where it has tech in combat. Oh, there's that. But yeah, like there's the whole thing like he hears sounds. He puts all these different like sounds together and stuff. He doesn't look that old. Chad, have you seen our own?
Hey, have you seen this guy? Then he's going to you going to hear it. How does this tie into Virtual Fighter, bro? Where's the link? It's going to be in the same universe. Just watch. The main dude looks just like Akira. I don't get it. It's a He literally Damn, that guy looks like Rio. Uh, the main dude just literally has the Akira look. Damn, guy just stabs people. He just put a Michael Myers mask on that dude. Thank you. Of course this dude dogs are Leroy Smith of this game. Brea it in. Breathe in that fresh air in this for the game.
My second awesome They made a banger song for their trailer for the intro of their game and you immediately get flagged as soon as you play it. I'm like, "Okay, thanks guys." I think the only criticism I have of this, watching a second time, it doesn't look It's got a good art style, but graphically it looks a little rough. Yeah, cuz I I mean I think it's just using their their engine they use for everything like the same 10 plus year old engine, Yeah. the dragon like just like from a geometry level and lighting it's like yeah like it kind of has some rough around the edges look to it and there's like very sharp saturation all over the place.
Yeah. I have a prediction so that Brunty's going to like this game a lot. No, I think he's going to hate it. So I I I personally would be more excited if Snoop was in like a new [ __ ] uh you know Death Jam game. Like if he was in a new Defit, but he's in this like cool. That's Snoop's grandfather in Def Jam because that's going to lead to Def Jam. Ah, so it's a tie. Oh [ __ ] Yeah. He's going to show why there's so much martial arts in Def Jam. Ah, okay. All right. That works.
That works. Damn. They called it UP Jam. What? What else happened this week? Anything? There's like a lot of crazy [ __ ] Price hike for the Switch. Switch price. All the trailers. The the random Star Fox Direct, the the Xbox Direct with uh Yakaza guys. Um, I think that's it. Yeah, I think that was the main stuff. That was the main stuff. Oh, Dead as Disco came out and it's selling pretty well. Yeah, like even it's rough around the edges. It came out. I I play PC or early access PC. Oh, boo. Good luck. Where's the console?
New Fuse for 2x. Family fun mode. Pretty cool. Family fun mode. Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. What's wrong? Just play PC game, Steve. Yeah. Oh, Steve, do do you know about the new 2X KO Fuse? He does. Yeah, he was about it. I tweeted about it. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's actually super dope. Uh, it's it's Dramatic Battle, bro. We got Dramatic Battle back. Uh, you know what? We we actually had fun playing uh Street Fighter X Tekken. Me and this nerd actually played the 2v2 uh soup mode in uh Street uh uh Street Fighter XT Tekken and we had fun for what it was.
Scramble Battle Scramble on PS3. It was It was not thought out well, but it was just dumb fun. And I think 2x KO is very good at making these modes and and having them thought out well. So I think this actually be really good. Well, it's a fuse. It's a fuse. Yeah, you only get to do it for 7 seconds. Well, I mean it from what I from what I see, you're using you use both of your supers for it to come out. It cost one meter on both characters. It's 7 seconds and the more damage you do with it, the more time goes down.
Yeah. So, pretty much if you land a hit with it, do you stop doing it? Uh, I mean, cuz even in the trailer, both characters were able to get multiple hits in before they stop. But every time you land a hit, it brings the timer the timer down. Yeah. So, it'll it it pretty much gives you one hit. And you do one combo. You do one combo. So, it's very specific. Like, it's very And also, the other character that came in, all their attacks are mids, so they can't do overheads or lows. Ah, really? It's pretty like It's limited.
It's very It's very specific. It's not like wild ass NBCI Okay. Say NBCI. It's not NBCI NBC1 [ __ ] Okay. Well, obviously pressure. Yeah. It's it's for pressure. But even then, if someone's throwing out a mid consistently, that's you're just getting I mean, you can just push block like both characters mids. I know. The other character that came in is your character. That one is only doing mids from what I understand. Okay. Well, we'll see. Soulstone. Yeah, we'll see how it actually uh works when the game come when it comes out for the next season. I'm I'm actually excited.
I I I want to see new stuff for the game outside of what we, you know, already have. Well, like and you know, like going back to it and it just it shows me like why um Invincible Versus like even though like there's the top tiers, there's so much more stuff going on because there's so many characters, right? Like I I want 2x to have more characters so we can get stuff like what we see in uh invincible versus because you're seeing like wild teams and you're seeing people use like some of the best players are not playing top tier and they're damn good with weird characters, dude.
Lukan like people are messing people up with crazy dude. People are messing up with Lucan. Lukan is a touch you and you die if you have the right assists available. And like Lucan supposedly not that you know good. Yeah. He's actually mid. Yeah. The [ __ ] is Lukan? Luke is Steve Harvey the Steve Harvey play kind of fatter uh the the command grab dude. Okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha. Um yeah. I mean uh I have high hopes for for both games. So we're over a month out from SGF. We're going to have to probably a week before do Summer Games Fest predictions and stuff like that and what we hope makes it there because it could be a big one.
It either is going to big be a big one or it's not. Yeah. Like this will be one of the two where there's going to be like a whole bunch of really cool [ __ ] It's less than four weeks away. Damn. Four weeks. Two weeks. Let me uh let's fire up some stuff on Let's talk about Let's talk about re Oh yeah. Did you like it? Uh I I was uh it's it it is a uh it's something that you can enjoy maybe once or twice as you play through. Yeah. But in the long run, it's not Ethan Bust.
Not his chat. Yeah, it is not Ethan Must. It's not Ethan Must. And that's what we expected when we first heard the title. You know what I mean? Well, the I mean the And why add forever at the end of it? Why did I just say Leon must die? The issue is that you jump into just the exact same levels with all the same enemies for the most part. Yeah. Yeah. Like like for like how cool would it have been if you go to RPD and there's liquors all over the place, Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Really [ __ ] cool.
But they don't like they all the enemies are designed to only work in these areas specifically. So nothing else in the areas that they already been in like you know the Did you notice that as you're going through these levels the character is still talking about stuff that's in they're literally repeating like the story stuff. So it's like this is just an acid dump. Like he said he said I have to go upstairs when I was inside the hospitals cuz I didn't know where to go and I went upstairs and there was nothing [ __ ] up there and I was I thought I thought he was telling you oh okay this is this is helping me out.
No. And that's that's the weird thing when you play it. It's like the progression in in it takes a while for you to understand what the [ __ ] do I even do? Am I trying to beat the time? Am I trying to time? Am I Is the time even an issue? There's like Yeah, it's like three exits per area. Two or three exits per You just look for where the Yeah, the exit parts was a little weird to me, but I understood it after a while because it's level 9 exit area, level five exit area, and then level two exit area.
So, you just decided which one to go. The thing is that if you unlock the other two or if you unlock the level nine, then the level two, you you don't get access to it anymore. You can't go back. No, you're just you going you're just heading to to the end only forward progression, right? So, it's kind of it was kind of weird that they they did that. Um what did you think of the um the perks that you get like all the little the extra perks and stuff? Getting a cool build feels good, but I got to the point where I filled everything out and just kept killing zombies and I had like 3,000 points.
Yeah, I had 999. Yeah. And then you're just recycling looking for something good and you're like, I think I've seen Like in a few in a couple runs. I think I've seen everything. You use the fire kick. Yeah. But it sucks. It was It's cool though. It's cool, but it's like you you kick a couple of guys and then you just pick something that makes the head shot do a billion damage. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm like, Yeah. You get the one you get like the the taked down easy takedowns. So the kick is stupid. constantly shoving guns running up to their face.
Um anyway, yeah. Yeah, I really didn't. And then it reminded me that like, oh, the end of this game is just the RE3 remake bad guy. The thing is is that the really thing is about that this really showed me is I know this is the same director as seven and I think it really shows that the the re people and maybe just the director of seven and nine they don't understand game feel as well as some of the other ones like Leon's movement and stuff is not as good as it should be like it it when you put it into an arcadey mode like this oh it hurts you realize I was getting sick my stomach.
You realize, oh, you know what? This doesn't work. Which is why I don't think this game works with mercenaries. Yeah, it doesn't. I don't think the game design neither neither was um neither I I thought with RE4 remake like I felt like with multiple like No, dude. R4 remake just throws like even in its regular campaign, they throw a [ __ ] ton of [ __ ] dudes in. I need I need to replay, but I don't I remember feeling Leon didn't control that one as well. I think he controls better in RE4 than he does in nine. That's what a lot of people are telling me.
Yeah, cuz I just played four before. Yeah, he controls way better, way way smoother in in in four remake than nine. And I'm like, yeah, nine feels like he he plays like you're steering a boat, to be honest. You you can't go from RE6. And we always, you know, dump Dunk on RE6, but the movement and the the the actual motion of the characters was really solid. Yeah, that's the best part of the game. And that made it feel really good. Then you go from that to like, you know, Ethan and you're like, dude, I can't even control this guy, you know?
It feels clunky. And you go from Ethan to Grace and you're like, Jesus Christ, I don't know what the hell's happening. So, you get excited to play Leon because he plays better. But then you play E Leon Must Die and you're like, damn, he's actually not that good. I feel like Leon the control issue with Leon Must Die only became exacerbated because we had all just played Pragmata. Pragmat shooter about an old guy hoisting around a kid. So, he's heavy and you feel the weight when he's running around. My god. But it feels really good to play, bro.
If you go back, I I don't know where my algorithm was sending me, but it showed me [ __ ] Pragmata trailer from like 5 years ago, and holy hell, it looks so [ __ ] different. Yeah. Completely different vibe. Yeah. The the the the [ __ ] that he has on his back is completely gone. What they're going for was he's shooting a um a flare gun at like enemies and [ __ ] like that. And it the the girl can get off your back and do different things, too. I was like, "What the fuck?" They had a completely different idea. Very different conceptually, and that probably wasn't working out too well, which is why I got delayed to hire.
I can understand that. I can understand But they brought in they brought in like uh senior dudes like the director of the game is like an industry veteran guy. So, it was it was a junior team, but they brought in a guy to keep it like focused and damn they knock it out of the [ __ ] [ __ ] was dev hell. I can I mean from what we saw what they imagine delayed multiple times. Got delayed four years to do this. Four years. Wait. Well, how long was Twix go? 10 years. Yes. About 10 years. Jesus. Close.
Because it started with uh the robot right? And that was that was not that was before they were hired. Yeah. And they got hired. And then if you go about, you know, from after the acquisition point, it's like nine years. uh from from there. Yeah. I mean, what game do you know got delayed 10 years and was actually good when it came out? Final Fantasy. Well, actually I was about to say Final Fantasy 15, but not that one cuz it came out bad. Yeah, but 11 years it was all right. That's true. By the time the 11th year, they fixed a bunch of [ __ ] because when they got to the Royal Edition, it helped.
So, uh that's a good question. How what games that have been delayed? Delayed to high heaven decade. I don't think there's that many. Well, I you know I don't um 2XL was never delayed. It was just in development for 10 years. it was never delayed. Yeah, they never said it was coming out. Yeah, it was just in development for 10 years. So, we would have to see, hey, what game's been in development for 10 years? No, also was in development for 10 years was Crimson Desert. Yeah. Hey. Yes. And guess what? We didn't talk about that.
Another update. They're updating it like it's an MMO. Yeah, they're updating it. An update just came out and there's another update coming out like in a week. That's insane that like it's crazy. It's funny how that game just grabbed everybody's heart by the cockals and now everyone dude even we learned to appreciate it pretty hard when we were playing it. Dread was in development for 10 years. They just they just keep listening to like what the people are saying for almost 10 years. Well, yeah, but it literally had to get restarted in a completely different count.
They announced it. It was [ __ ] announced. Yeah, I mean it was announced, but like it's there's there's a D prime mod took a while to come out and it came out, but it was the same dev. It wasn't like a studio over here in Singapore is making the game. They [ __ ] it up. They has to get cancelled and then we have to go to a completely different studio and then start it from scratch and then build the studio up while we're building the game up. So, it's almost like that's two games of development. Wolfie, thank you.
At the end of the day, can you complain about free DLC? Um, we can say if it's good or not. We can say if it's worth playing. Your time is money. You You also did pay $70 for the base game an 11 hour game. Yes, we b for the that half of Pragmata. That that half of it was really good and the second half was pretty good. My my thing with Pragmata is that the whole thing was really good and it was cheaper than Resident Evil 9. Yeah, Pragmata wasn't full price. $69.99. Nope. No, it wasn't.
That was It came out at 59. Came out at it could be at a previous generation price. Okay. 69 cuz all games now are 70. Yeah. Everything. Everything. Have you seen the combos that people are doing in uh Crimson Desert? Oh, no. It's crazy. Yeah. The game's opening up. It's It's insane. And a lot of the [ __ ] we complained about on that first like week. Yeah. They've actually fixed. Absolutely. Majority of those things have been fixed. All this stuff that is like why is this do this and do that? They just literally listen and now it's just like all streamlined and it's it's insane, man.
Yeah. I I I can imagine I can imagine them actually releasing uh paid DLC later on outside of what I would I would prefer to buy like spend 10 bucks on a DLC like a really cool mode or something that is like engaging and fresh and kind of new. Like I would prefer that. This was just kind of like you know their their version of of Resident Evil. Uh um it's it's a less it's less effort Ethan Mustai. Yeah, that's true. Ethan Must had unique and I think Ethan Must Die was paid DLC cuz they came with a bunch of [ __ ] It was It wasn't just that.
It was a bunch of other movies. Yeah, it was a bunch of Chris was free and I think End of Zoe was paid but End Zoe was really good. End of Zoe was like the finality. That's my go paid. Yeah. Yeah, it was paid. Okay. So, it was Yeah, that makes sense. Ethan must die was actually better because they they had new enemy placements, enhancements, new things. Like each run was different. Yeah, it was cool. And I felt like I was playing a different game every single time I played Ethan Must Die because the scenario was different.
With this, I'm not It's the same [ __ ] Like I was going through the same scenario every single time. And the only thing that was different was, "Oh, I got a shotgun instead of a a sniper this time." The opening gun you get. Yeah. Opening gun. It was like, "Okay, well, then you start routing to where all the gun cases cases are at because you know where they are. So it's not that hard to change. Found the best route the first time. Well, the cases where the cases are don't change. the weapon inside changes, but you just Okay, we'll route to where I'm going to go.
A bunch of them. I'm all definitely going to find a gun. Did you guys get the key to the um kitchen? The We didn't do that. Yeah. Um in uh He just gives you more stuff in the care center. I didn't find it. No. Yeah. So, there's a care center and uh you know the kitchen area uh where the the guy with the big old ax um the secret room. You can use the key to get in there and get like extra stuff and stuff like that. Um it's just more stuff. It's over in the isolation ward on the other side of the problem is I was ending every single round with like 150 bullets in every gun.
Yeah. Yeah. I didn't need more stuff. I maxed out that case max out case really hard. It's it's thrown together. It just it feels as thrown together as the ending. Yeah. Kind of a not super high effort mode, but it's free. So, take it or leave it. There's one thing though. The other the other thing that that this side of the RE team, you guys need to work on your final bosses because RE7 you shot a big wall of awesome and then in R9 you fought a big glute monster and you shot it it zits off like you ended up just fighting like a big wall.
The RE9 thing is the same [ __ ] boss from R3 exact same and it basically just stand there shoot the pus points. Shoot the pus points. That's why I keep saying that Pragmata is literally just Resident Evil but, you know, a little bit more enhanced because at the end you're just finding a big giant GOP monster. It may not be scary and, you know, uh, evil like, you know, Resident Evil, but, uh, most of the most of the plot points outside of the puzzles, which is being replaced by the hacking, which is a puzzle, is literally just Resident Evil, but you just have motion.
It's all Resident Evil. So you you get the same uh uh uh mentality when you play both uh both through the the entire way through. It's Resident Evil. It it just is. And Pragmat, yes, Pragmata is Resident Evil. It literally is. It's definitely got the the all all of the [ __ ] robot monsters are literally just zombies. Like you guys I'm I'm surprised you guys say that about literally anything though. No, the pace the pacing of how that game goes is [ __ ] resonating. I mean, there's like jumping and dashing and air dashing. That's your character. And that's a little bit more platform.
It's almost like a jump and shoot man. Pragmata. It's a jump. It's a jump. I think it's much closer to a 3D and Mega Man. Like it's a Mega Man Legend. It's a jump and shoot Resident Evil. That's what it is. Gun or ball game. There you go. There you go. I know. He's kind of right. I know, Chad. There's literally no resource management in Pragmata. No. No. No. Um, they they few things have changed. Again, you uh don't have the Resident Evil research. So, if we if we shoot something from an overthe-shoulder camera angle, is that Resident Evil?
It's not Resident Evil, but I'm talking about the pacing and the uh the the enemy setups, right? But there's levels in Pragmata. Not you don't you don't progress and like open things up. There's levels. Uh I mean, you you progress and open things up as far as uh like one area is not related to the previous area. You're continuating. Yeah. It's just forward momentum. It's just forward and it's like we take a a bus to the next area across the moon. They're not connected like Resident Evil where it's like you get lower and lower and lower or some [ __ ] No.
No. No. No. Um Well, with Resident Evil, it's it's for progression all the way through anyway. You can go you can backtrack you can backtrack and and Yeah. And in prog you backtrack just the same. Uh but you don't do it for the story. It's like it's if you want to. It's if you want to. Like there's a bunch of cuz the levels are dense. Yeah. If you want to get your your pure Linium or whatever the [ __ ] that [ __ ] is, yeah, you need to backtrack. So yeah, to be honest, Pragmat is less Resident Evil and you don't you haven't played a lot of them.
It's Capcom's closest thing to a Souls game. The Souls good level design like the the bonfires, like the the the individual areas. The only thing that you don't that they don't give you is you can't drop your souls. You get keys to unlock rooms. That's absolutely true. That's Resident Evil. No, that's Zelda. You need keys. You need hidden walls. Yep. That's all different. But yeah, it was funny to me. It was like like a Souls game. We died and it sent us back to the Firelink Shrine and I was like, "What the fuck?" And then you have to manually go and fight all that [ __ ] again and get to the boss again and just do it faster this time.
And I was like, "Huh? Wow, that's bold. Holy shit." Yeah, but it it isn't like killing your your your progress or whatever. Or if it's like, "Oh, I didn't cash in my chips and then I died." That is not there. That's not there. Like that's that's where it's more of like it's more of an arcadey. It's more of a shooter experience. It's not Well, the the level design is the best Capcom level design that they've had uh since Monster Hunter World. Yeah. For a while. I think it's lit as Monster Hunter World has some great [ __ ] levels.
Like really good. I think Pike Mada actually has the best levels because they are literally designed like Souls levels where you're supposed to see something and be like, "Huh, wonder how I get over there." They're they're more they're more interesting and and and they have more different like hidden routes, secret routes. Oh, there's a thing over here. I didn't know I could do that. You know, yeah, Pragmata is just really good about just space and and making use of its space and not having it just be a linear corridor. It's a it's like a little it's a little rat maze.
It's a little block of Swiss cheese. And the more you look around, the more you discover, the more you you see how, you know, you can find all these different areas. I love where they h like everything that as soon as you turn around, you see all this [ __ ] you missed. Like when you're going this way, you don't see dick. And then all of a sudden, you're like, "Huh?" And you're like, "Oh, there's all this [ __ ] I missed." Like, "Oh, man." Yeah, it does. It never felt bloated. That's the thing with Pragmata, dude. Like the whole [ __ ] game, I had almost no criticisms.
I was like, there's very few moments of this where I was never having fun. Like it always felt every single level, every single engagement as you move forward is something different all the way to the very end of the game. It's like they never go like, "Oh, just do this again and then fight these guys again and then do that again." It's like, no, by the time you're at the end of the game, invisible [ __ ] are like jumping at you and you have to tightly time the dodges and [ __ ] It's like a giant uh you know spiderlike bow that's like grabs you and then like you know tears you up and stuff.
No, the bo was the worm. Yeah, I mean yeah that too. The the omega worm dune worm because you couldn't kill it. It would always come Yeah. I mean what yeah you had the final boss at that stuff. Yeah. Um that's what Steve [ __ ] Resident Evil guys please. Um, I think I I think that game deserves a I would pay money for a DLC in that game for sure. I think that game deserves a solid good DLC that would be [ __ ] fantastic for that [ __ ] But what would you do? The guy I mean, spoiler alert.
Yeah, I mean, spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Hey, never mind. Kenny has a median. Never mind. Did you beat the post game? Yes, I Oh, no. I would beat the post game. I beat the post game. Oh. Oh. Oh. So, there's something. I mean, the post game is post game. Like, you said it was like a boss rush or whatever the [ __ ] I don't care, you know. So, I was like, oh. Oh, don't don't worry about that. Okay. I mean, it's not that special. It's not that special. It won't be special to you. Oh, okay. Damn.
Damn. Never mind then. I'll beat it one of these days in the chat. Beating you. Always wanted me to beat games and stuff. beating games. That's That's dumb. Play play multiplayer games. That's You don't There you never beat it. You just keep going. You keep playing. It's all you're supposed to do. It's video games. Better. Uh, let me show you guys some fun [ __ ] Oh, here we go. It Takes Two. That's these guys fault. I've been telling them to beat that game. They refused. I've beaten It Takes Two. You being in it all your own.
We were supposed to be in it as a group. We were supposed to do it here. It takes two as a group. No, we did not. Yes, we did. We literally did. what's the You're not allowed to be upset. What you said is what you said. No, no, no. What's the other guy, Chad? What's the other game? God damn it. What's the other game? They're supposed to be Split Fiction. You're not allowed to take it back. No. There's supposed fiction. I meant split fiction. God damn it. We're talking about a takes two. Same game. What are you talking about?
I beat split fiction. No, you did. We're supposed to beat it as a group. Holy [ __ ] Ceil comes real slow. Need a hand. Hell no. This is ugly. Wait, but the timing Yeah, the timing. So I Yeah, you notice how I'm coming on like the frame or the frame before. So background. Yeah, of course. At this point so hard, but it's unlimited. Not combo gauge is still going up. No, I'm saying it's a you. It's an infinite. It's not. The combo gauge is going up. Yeah. Watch. Oh, really? It'll eventually pop. Oh, [ __ ] I didn't see that.
That's the way the game works. You know, look, this did no damage. That's the problem is that you need to do it so much that it doesn't eventually lead to a kill most of the time. And isn't their uh breaker popping up as you continue? It might. Yeah, they might have breaker by the time you do that. Anyway, so that's an example of like so you can loop assists, right? Like assists can recharge and if you get some unique opportunities, you can uh get some pretty crazy combos. Now, here's the here's the nutty one. Crazy combo.
Here's the [ __ ] that I was laughing. Uh and this is this one's tough. Like this combo is not particularly easy. I found an interesting piece of tech. You want to see cool tech? When Mark does his overhead, there's a big long sliding knockdown. When I bring in a character like Cecil and I tag on it, he hits him. Broken immediately, right? So, let's bring Mark back in. I'll delay it this Damn it. Broken [ __ ] That sucks. So, let me do the uh the heavy one. The heavy tag. Oh, that whiffed. And he couldn't break it.
I'm on I'm on I'm set currently to uh break everything, I believe. So, counter tag always. So, if I if I ever tag, he's breaking that [ __ ] Uh so, here's here's the crazy part. If I come in here and do this overhead tag, do a heavy. Oh, that's interesting. He couldn't break. So, if I get an overhead with Mark, that's [ __ ] dirty, though. So, I have I've found a hard tag opportunity that is unbreakable. I found a moment where on these sliding knockdowns uh depending on the character, not everyone can do it. If I do it with Cecil, like I said, he does attack comes out too fast.
So, this is not This is tech. So, with Conquest though, boom. They all team up. Stay down. Okay. Yeah. So, and also when you do when you do supers in this game, depending on your assist, if you time it correctly, oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. Maybe they're in the air. On the TV. Help. Yeah. So, what what that leads to and I have to figure out the timing again. You get some pretty unique [ __ ] Show me your Oh my god. What is What is my route? Watch your head. I got you. Oh, I have to charge it.
Missed it. Missed it. I'm doing this. So, I'm almost breaking the combo out. I almost am but time for a team up wrestler. Kenny not know I stop watching Daniel Brian the whole crowd. Please say yes. different time. Will you stay down? Will you? God dang. I'm here. Ah, I mis timed it. So, it's like it doesn't all this has timing to it. Where's my com? Ah, this time you butt. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. You know what? They have to invite Sha to Street Fighter Premiere. Invite him who showed up to the Mortal Kombat. Ah, damn it.
So, I can get it up to three times. I need I need Mater. And then you can cash out for his level three in the end if you have a lot of bar. So it's technically a loopable level one touch of death. And here's here's the crazy thing. I haven't landed it once online yet. People always can break. cuz people always got breaker. Yeah. They always have options. So here's an interesting [ __ ] because everyone's like, "Oh, my combo is always interrupted." Because these aren't true strings. When you do LMH, let's go to Here's the [ __ ] that people are running into right now, dummy.
Well, have you seen what a lot of the NRS players are doing? They're doing some crazy stuff. Mhm. Do you watch um is it block action push block? No, I need you to Foxy Grandpa. He's just coming up with just [ __ ] There we go. He's not even full combo. Where's the thing where you set the uh where you set the the recovery thing? Anybody know air recovery? I thought it was on there. No, like when when they are in a recoverable state, you can assign it to be a move like a very specific move. He's breaking the game with Kate.
Yeah. Action. Foxy's using duplicate and it's nasty. Yeah. Absolutely. It's insane. Switch. Yeah. It's not even like full combos. It's just going to like I'm going to like do this over and over again and you have to guess or it's super hard to almost impossible to block any wrestling lore. Is was the Miz basically Johnny Cage that his persona? Pretty much the Miz his whole persona started even before he was a wrestler. Like the Miz has always been The Miz. his his persona started in uh the road rules uh when he was in road rules and then he just yeah changed oh real world.
Okay. I thought it was road rules but he was in the in the real world. Okay. Um yeah he start it was there and it just went oh no you know why cuz then he was also in the real world road rules um mashup too. Ah there it is. But uh yeah, he just he was the miz and then it just became a wrestler and he just dialed it up even more. So here's what happens a lot in this game now is that he did like a block string. And people just like mashed their way through cuz there's no true block strings, right?
Oh no. Lights don't lead into this. So this is happening to a lot of folks. You're just going to get DP through your [ __ ] But come on. See that SDM? I don't need a mustache. I got to go with T. Got hold up. Oh, that doesn't work. Hey, that made me safe. So, that doesn't. So, I have to do two down L's doesn't work. Two stand elves doesn't technically. Actually, that beat it. Wow, chat. If they're mashing against Conquest, you can just do light auto combo and it beats it cuz it goes to the start up.
Look at that. So fast. Stand jab, down jab, stand jab, if you're doing it as fast as possible, beats armor. So he's he's blocking low, right? He's doing DP after it beats armor. So I get free combo. So anyway, that's pretty good. Everyone's like, I don't have any There's no true block strings in this game. No, there is there there is they have to hold this [ __ ] And I think it's the same thing with uh Yeah, Conquest. It's actually true. If they don't push block. Yeah, if they don't push block. But here's what happens is if they push block out of the way, you're you're just you didn't commit to anything.
You committed to a few lights. Um block action. Push block. You're set to the other thing. Hey man, what's up? Block action. Push block. Oh, okay. Count one. Yeah. So, you you're not you're not unsafe anything, you know? So, you're okay if you did like light medium, you might break through it, but there's like the riskreward for doing everything up close because everyone's mashing armor and mashing super through stuff like crazy. I feel like some characters are really stumpy and other characters just have like a ton of range, you know? Uh, some do. Yeah, but also recognize this.
Some characters have charge moves that literally have armor on them and beat [ __ ] up. Um, what's the name? The Catman has that as well. And um, the monster girl has that as well. And that's like her bread and butter is is starting off with like that armor armor punch, which is crazy cuz it goes through like damn near everything while she's next to you. You're like, "Okay, never mind." Hell yeah. Neutral head blah. Seriously, I forget his name. It's the kitty cat man. You know your little kitty cat. He going little scratching. Every time he beats you, he's like Yeah.
Okay. Oh, it broke my [ __ ] Never mind. Oh, yeah. Broke my [ __ ] Where's I want him darker. You have a stream. I'm just I'm just I'm just calling him So, uh, we also found some interesting routing [ __ ] Uh, check this out. Let me Can I make this not block action? That's actually really cool that they actually have that in here for the dummy stuff. I don't think I've ever seen a dummy a dummy menu have that much. They usually do in like Street Fighter 6 and Tekken and stuff like that. I never looked at it in Street Fighter 6.
So, but I'm like, "Oh, dummy." Like push on on what part of the combo? Like the the the slider specifically? They have a dummy menu in the White House. It's all McDonald's and Diet Coke. Uh, so here's an interesting thing. You can go from mediums to heavies. But you can't go from mediums to lights unless you do this down. Crouch light. Yeah. crouch light. So if you do a stand medium, you can do a crouch light. So this becomes a much better block. That sounds like that's like McDonald and well done steak with ketchup. Like go to crouch after after standing and I think most characters can do it.
Mark cannot really. No, it's character specific because he's drifting forward. No, it's just it's just as normal. Drifting forward. Some Conquest gets access to weird [ __ ] And for some reason, Conquest can also dash cancel his heavy foot. Head, head butt, head. This normally costs beater. Like if you want to do this with Mark, it's like coming in hot like it cost. but on Conquest. Dang. Smashing the [ __ ] out of you. He's smashing the [ __ ] However, um it doesn't do that much damage. Actually, doesn't even do that much. What is the the the uh straight up like smashing your face on the headanger?
The headbanger when you're fighting someone online. This guy's just face mashing. Face rolling. Yeah. Face rolling. Face rolling. Headbanger. The head banger. The head banger. Was that bas? Oh my god, that suck is that [ __ ] [ __ ] time for a team up. He did a little bit. Oh, just hit I've got you. Yeah, good luck. He blocked everything. He said to block everything. He's a computer. Just in time. That's pressure. PMD red. I'll do it. Listen to that on the wall. Look at the damage. Ah, the wrong move. I ran out of meter. So, right at that last moment, you just throw out another super, right?
Uh, yeah. I just do level three. Yeah. Yeah. Like how much how much meter have you built if you were like at zero? You built three, right? Like you probably built three bar as easy by hand to make it sufficient so it feeds itself. I got you. They all stay down. Yeah. But anyway, I Yeah, I think I start off with like five bars in the recording. I have four and by the end it builds like three. So, some crazy [ __ ] Also, mobility is getting nuts. Like these this is his down heavy punch down. So, his uh it's not good to do jumping light with him, but boom.
You know, damn. Up that ass. It's hard though like to to get the landing on that. Can actually work for like a Marvel too. I'm doing this. They all will Okay. They all beat me. So will you again. It's not super easy. There's a point where it's scaled so hard that like your general hits were doing nothing. They're doing almost nothing. Like literally nothing. You You just want to do the small hits to lead to the level three and the level three doesn't matter the scaling. It will kill. But yeah. Yeah. Game's fun. Here you want to press the button.
But I got to swap it around. Who uh who uses controller in this? What controller do you use? We use the six button. But yeah, theory. The That's not it. Yes. That's what it That's what I did. Oh yeah, he pointed at that. It was true literally right there. Damn, bro. That's controller. Talking about that. No, you're talking about that. I got you [ __ ] Can't believe it. I tried using a hit box, man. My fingers damn near exploded. I don't think I could ever use hitbox ever. It's when your It's when your hands are in this position for too long.
Well, that's why like mouse and keyboard like shooters like Oh my god. You you have to get your muscles. You literally have to like do it for like multiple days and your muscles get acclimated. My [ __ ] was like I hear I felt like a sharp pain happened in my left hand. I was like, "Yeah, we're not doing this." I I wanted to cuz I was like I I think I could like retrain my brain, you know? No big deal. But yeah, no, it was just not happening. That's it. Invisible. You don't want to. And right now, uh, the way the game is, standard controls is is absolutely the best way to play.
Move back a little bit. I'm going to fix the current. Get up for a second. Sorry. Yeah, because you get more damage off of it. You know, you get more dam No, you get more damage off motion controls. standard is the normal motions and people are just mashing level threes throughout block strings and they're really good. And you can't you literally can't do that on on motion controls. Like it's hard. But I mean, you're losing what? like 30% of your your your damage. No, it's 10%. 10%. Okay. One more damage for every 10 hits. So, it's not that huge.
Most most competitive players are not using motion controls. Everyone's using standard cuz it just you you could do things so much easier. Steve gave it a good hour and it says not for me. Yeah. Just like having sex. That's not for Steve. Oh gosh. I'm gonna get Steve a No Ma'am shirt for his birthday. The Al Bundy. Alund said Ted Bundy. Nobody. That's actually funny. That's hilarious. No, ma'am. Dad, I might have just I just might have dated myself there. Come on. [ __ ] you know how you date yourself. The same married with children isn't that old.
Shut up, Simmons. You shut your [ __ ] mouth. It is not that old. It is still 30 years ago. You're 30 years ago. Chad, you got you there, Chad. What was the air date on the first Married with children episode? Go ahead, Google that. That [ __ ] was definitely not the mid '90s, bro. It was not 1987. 1987, bro. With children 40 years ago. That is not 87. Oh my god. It was 40 years ago. [ __ ] married with children. That's insane. You know what's wild? I guarantee you the difference between Marry with Children now is probably longer than we used to watch I Love Lucy when we were in the uh the 80s and 90s.
Like Yeah. 1980 goddamn 40 years ago. 40 40 [ __ ] There you go. The actual [ __ ] 39 years, dude. It's 40 years old. It's nearly like That's not that old. It's not that. That ain't that old. He's like, "No way. It's only like almost 40." Yeah. I guarantee you from the when we watched I Love Lucy Oh, the amount of time that's passed in between that. Oh, yeah. It's way more. Yeah. From when we were kids and we watched I Love Lucy. Yeah. I almost guarantee you. I guarantee you it's way more. Hey, man. Ain't no one can say Lucy was what, like the late 50s?
No one can say Three Stooges is old. That [ __ ] is That [ __ ] was 30 years old when we were watching. Three Stooges is not old. It is ageless. Your boy. Three Stooges is ageless. Yeah. Yeah. 30 years old. So when we were Yeah, exactly. when we were watching it. 51 1951. I love my buttons are all see. It is timeless. It is ages. Ageless. You can always watch Three Scooges. No matter how old sexless, dude. Three Scooes is definitely sex. It's like a Resident Evil game. Don't hate because Frog B is literally Resident Evil Max.
It's literally Resident Evil. I'm about to look up like old shows like Lassie and [ __ ] Mr. Ed. Like what the Kyle? Thank you. Resident Evil on Spice. It's Spice. Andy Griffin show. And he's still alive. Andy Griffin's still alive. No, no, I'm sorry. Uh, think same thing. Same thing. Interesting. All right. Coming through. Another one. Leave it to beaver. Holy [ __ ] Let's do this. Be it to Lever. Jack, just start naming old [ __ ] sick. Green Acres. I remember Mash I think MASH like made a Guinness Book of Records or something like that. I can't remember what for the most show of all time.
Most sleep inducing TV series of all Gilligans Island. The Honey. Didn't they make a movie about that? Mike. Oh no. Oh no, that was like a remake obviously. Yeah, that was a remake. No, I remember they actually made like a movie movie though. There was a movie. Yeah, I remember the movie. But that was based on an old TV show. Bruce Willis, right? No, that's Moonlighting. That's Moonlighting. That reminds me of Oh, yeah. Dude, dude. Well, he's still alive. Yeah, he's on his way out, dude. The fact like Yeah. Come to me. No more. We're not done yet.
He might have been a dick in, you know, the [ __ ] studio and [ __ ] like that, but man, he made some classic hard to work with. Hard to work with, man. Predictable. When did Living Color debut, Chad? It was not [ __ ] Wrong one. Good times. Probably also 80s. Probably 89. No, no, Living Color. 90, but like 92. Okay. They said they're saying '92. I said 88. Wrong. Cosby show was early No, no, late '8s, Yeah. Well, 80s. 80s. I don't know. When in the '8s? Yeah. I'm going to say like ' 87 probably. I'm going to say like 84.
Sheesh. Chat, when did Bill Cosby, not Bill Cosby, when did the Cosby show debut? I admit before I made this fun. That's one guy. Somebody confirmed that a laugh. That's early 80s. Who was that? What was that? Charlie something Charlie knows every small one. 1984, Steve. God damn. I called it. God damn cuz I'm I'm remembering what the what…
