Summary
MercBenzKing takes viewers on a desert road trip across Morocco, staging a memorable showcase of the Mercedes GLS family. The host introduces the Maybach GLS Night Series, AMG GLS 63, and a diesel GLS 450D, noting details like the handmade pencil line dividing two-tone finishes and a special Maybach emblem on the bonnet. Tire pressure is deliberately lowered to one bar to maximize grip on sand, a tip demonstrated as the team navigates rough desert terrain with the 12.3-inch oyster display in Maybach view. Inside, the cabin gets attention for its Maybach-specific trim, haptic steering wheel feedback, and back-seat infotainment, while an exterior highlight is the new Alp ine gray magnum color with a Panamericana-style grill on the facelift. The journey moves from Eratidia toward Marrakesh, passing a desert hotel and a traditional tent with local singing, and includes an off-road day-trip that excludes Maybach and AMG in favor of a broader GLS lineup. The video also notes a 3.0-liter diesel GLS 450D with over 750 Nm torque, a high-altitude driving scene at 2300 meters, and a glimpse of a 63 AMG at speed, underscoring the versatility of the GLS family both on- and off-road. Finally, MercBenzKing hints at other country routes, including Switzerland and Germany, before returning to the mountains for more scenic views and a tea stop with a local nonagenarian hostess.

Mercedes store on the bonnet. Some GLS drivers had problems getting up the hill. We already lowered the tire pressure. Hello guys. Welcome to Merbansk. As you could guess from the Jalaba, we are in Morocco in the beautiful desert behind us with the all new Mercedes Maybach GLS the night series. So, in this video, we will take it for a road trip in the desert. And it has just a beautiful side step as you could see from opening the door with desert sand all over it. We are actually close to the Algerian border. The same Maybach emblems we also see here in the rims.
And yes, the dual tone exterior color is divided with a handmade pencil line. This is the obsidian black color with the silver on the top from this AMG GLS 63. We already lowered the tire pressure. It is very low because we need grip to get on the desert. But we are driving the Maybach night series. I managed to lower it to one bar. This is basically the GLS family here in Morocco. We have a regular one, the AMG63 and the Maybach. So, right here next to us, we have the camera team filming us driving in the desert.
And as I mentioned, the tire pressure is set to one bar for ultimate grip. In this sandy conditions, you don't need too much air. And it also gives a warning right there. And currently, we have it in the Maybach view. So, beautiful oyster display in this 12.3 in screen. Let us accelerate a little and I will show you. Amazing to drive it rough through the desert. Very flat desert area. There are some little houses now and then. Now, we also have the parking button with 360 degrees view. That looks amazing. I really love the Maybach Mercedes star on the bonnet.
It feels so prestige. As I mentioned, the haptic feedback on the steering wheel with these buttons. And it says here, Maybach all the way down. There we have a new trim only available for the night series in wood with beautiful new type of leather similar to Napa leather but a little bit more rough texture. You also see that right here on the headrest. And behind us we have the GLS 63 AMG. And this being a Maybach, it is definitely also very VIP like and comfortable to sit in the back seats. So in the back we have more infotainment system screens right here on the cover of the back seat.
We even have a Maybach gas pedal and brake. This next location is a tent in the middle of the desert. Local people sang traditional songs. From being used to ride a GLS, it is interesting to experience one of the oldest ways of mobility with a reliable dramadaras. No, it is not a camel. The difference lies in the amount of bumps on the back. The next morning, we took all the GLS models, excluding Maybach and AMG, for an extreme off-road trip through the desert with amazing view. On the way to Airf, we stopped at a hotel in the middle of the desert.
Behind the lined up GLS family is a hotel we stayed for the night with a beautiful scenery and an amazing pool with chill locations to rest. We arrived at our next stop which is a hotel in the middle of the desert. And we drove from Eratidia all the way through the desert to come to this location and we are with this road trip on the way to Marrakesh. So you can see the GLS's are all all lined up. This is the GLS family here in Marco. The first one with a beautiful brilliant blue color GLS 63 AMG.
Second one which we also drove right here in the desert 63 AMG. Then we have regular models like this GLS 580. The one over there is Selonite Gray. It is a 450D and that means it has the EQ boost with a 3 L six-cylinder diesel engine. We will definitely drive this one in Switzerland and in Germany. But let's move over all the way to the end because we have a beautiful Maybach that you have already seen in the start. Check out this color, the new color, Alpine gray magnum. And the facelift comes with a new grill.
Now it has four horizontal lines, huge thick lines actually, and the new front bumpers. We are back on the road with the GL towards our next D. And in front of us, we have the Toyota, the guide that takes us to the mountains. The GPS is still installed. And this GPS shows us the road because this road is not even on the navigation system. It's not an official road here on the mountains. And as I mentioned earlier, driving a 450 diesel, it is so nice because of the torque, more than 750 Nm. And I love the new steering wheel with a flat bottom.
Behind me, we have a very fast GLS63, but it has problems keeping up with the speed of this diesel, especially because of the torque on low RPM, 2,300 m above sea level. That's the altitude here in Morocco. We are actually on top of the mountain driving from Eratidia that I will show you right here to Marakeesh. So we are in the middle of the complete road trip. Let's get out of the 450D GLS and we will check out the view. And yes, I'm still wearing the traditional clothing with experience GLS family. So over here we have the GLS 580, GLS 63, but just check out the full view on the mountain.
This is insane. We arrived here to drink some tea with the guide that has a special friend living here and she's more than 90 years old. You will see her later. I really love the new facelift grill of this AMG panamericana style. It is in chrome, but you can also go for a night package with darkened chrome. You will actually drive over or through water in the next few minutes.
