He highlights the immense 39.1-inch pillar-to-pillar display as the centerpiece of the cabin and notes how the door design and ambient lighting reinforce the premium feel. The presenter points out the electric-first powertrain with a compact motor, enabling a practical 130 L frunk and convenient front storage that complements the roomy rear seats. Exterior lighting gets special attention, including the new full-LED digital lights and Mercedes Beam that helps the car stand out at night. He also calls out MBOS, the AI-driven infotainment system, which can handle tasks like massage-seat activation and ambient lighting changes via voice, though he mentions some navigation and app layout quirks. The night drive demonstrates the GLC’s advanced sensing suite—27 sensors/radars, lidar, wide-angle cameras, and a seamless 360-degree view—along with a robust driving assistant package that can manage autonomous parking and surround views. He shares practical specs: 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, WLTP range around 715 km, 350 kW fast-charging capable to add ~300 km in 10 minutes, and a tow capacity of 2.4 tons. So we can really enjoy this beautiful interior. The GLC in a night drive luggage bag that fits right there. Upon closing the door, we have a beautiful invitation. Let's hit the parking button. Ah, there it is. And cars will definitely get out of the way once you use this new Mercedes Beam. Hello guys, welcome to Merge Spence King. This is the all new Mercedes GLC. And in today's video, we have it actually here at night in Portugal. And I will show you the full interior, exterior, all the new gadgets. And what I really love about the new generation GLC, especially with this bright interior.
The new GLC is very up to date with the newest Mercedes design. You can see the grill over here with full LEDs how it illuminates and also is alive. We have now for the first time on the GLC digital lights just like in the S-Class. It is 40% more LEDs, 50% energy reduction compared to the previous S-Class. So, we have an AMG line and the new color which is called Lavendo Gray. Beautiful in my opinion. muscular bonnet. Let me unlock the vehicle to have the full light again. And because this is electric first, it has the newest electric motor, which means small in size.
It is optimized, way more powerful than before. And that means we now have room for a frunk. So, you can open the front by just pressing on the Mercedes. And there we have 130 L of frunk capacity. And that means basically a full luggage bag that fits right there. And it is very handy because you don't have to go to the trunk or the back seat. Just right here in the front. Easy to grab out. So let's close it. You have the springs over here. You can just grab it. There we have Mercedes store in black.
And you can just drop it. beautiful one star indicating that this is part of the C-Class family. You also saw this in pre-generations in earlier models with the lines. And you can already see at the S-Class that they tried the same two Mercedes stars, but the third one, the third symbol is more like a dot, but it still shows it is definitely more than two. In the rear, the same story. We have one Mercedes star for the tail light on each side. The S-Class has three, one Mercedes star on the tail light for each side.
I know what you're thinking. There are two Mercedes stars on each side of the tail light, but these are separated. It is one on that corner, one on the trunk area. And the same for the other side. You can see the tail light. It moves all the way to the Mercedes star in the center, which is like a black panel. This is the key, by the way. smaller than the previous generation S-Class. This does not have a hard key inside. So that's why they could make it smaller and lighter. So let's unlock it. Pay attention to the tail light how the line comes to the star.
So let's have a look inside the trunk. And this is a full electric. Usually you would not have trunk space or actually storage space underneath the trunk area but right now for this generation there is because this is the newest electric technology. Hence the engines are so small there is enough space when we are talking about volume capacity. We have a button over here to fold the second row forward also on this side. And there is an additional button to lower the vehicle on the rear side. And this is only if you have to put in heavy stuff.
It is a little bit lower so easier to put inside. Beautiful palm trees here in Portugal. Algava. We are close to Olu Ferra. So, let me press the button for the trunk to close one more time. Unlocking so you can see the illumination and a lot of light surrounding the vehicle. So, you can't miss it at night. So, upon closing the door, we have a beautiful invitation of this screen. This is the largest screen that Mercedes-Benz have ever fitted to a model from pillar to pillar. And this is 39.1 in one full display. So I really have to give props to the GLC for doing this.
So you can change the seat with the seat adjustments. And I immediately notice there is no more memory seat buttons or the heated seat buttons. Now it is all in the display over here. Or you can ask Mercedes by just saying, "Hey, Mercedes, how can I help activate the massage seat?" Okay, I'm activating the massage for you. And also activate the seat heating. And because of the full display screens, Mercedes really had to compensate design at the door side. So we see a lot more detail and great quality used at the door side compared to the predecessor.
Beautiful metal and also stitching. You can of course go for many other trims. I know many of you have already ordered the new GLC on this platform. I can imagine why because it is basically all the new technology of Mercedes-Benz. It is larger in size compared to the predecessor and just an allrounder. You can park it easy in the city because of the size, but it is also practical enough. You can go on long distances, just an amazing vehicle, the GLC. And now we have the new architecture. So that means storage space down here, a lot of free space.
And this will also come for the combustion vehicles. There is also a way that you can put a cable inside right there in the middle. And this will come out here just like in the CLA. So you have a physical cable to charge your phone. We have two wireless charging pads for your phone on the center part with two cup holders with nice metal buttons. Storage space, very deep. And this upright screen, beautiful bright interior. I really would go for the bright leather steering wheel. I love it. The floor mats are black, however, but it makes sense since dirt might come inside.
Then we have special stitching. There's also different trim options. Beautiful guys. And check out the panoramic grill full with Mercedes stars. This is the new eight categories pattern. You can select or deselect. Can go for full motives or clear. Also new for Mercedes-Benz, the design is that you have a lot more cameras. Over here we have the Mercedes logo which comes from this light over here. The side mirror is not connected to the A-pillar. It is connected to the body. And in total we have 27 radars and sensors around the vehicle. Also the lidar it uses wide lens camera also a smaller camera and everything combined will show you the driving assistance.
So it knows exactly what is surrounding the vehicle. Let's say around 50 m around the vehicle all because of this new technology. So let's have a quick glimpse inside. We have side skirts, the off-road ones, which have this flow so you don't touch it with your foot every time when you step inside. And there we have the beautiful interior with this beige look. Beautiful stitching. By the way, it looks like shashes, bright steering wheel, and especially the welcome light is beautiful. Also some illumination in the front on the walls. This is the new architecture. So, we have free space down here, cup holders, two wireless charging pads, and this is Mercedes-Benz largest screen from pillar to pillar.
It is one big display, 39.1 in. You have never seen this before. With the doors open, you notice the amount of space. It's really increased. 8 cm more leg room in the back, 8 cm more in the front. Beautiful. Then we have also small Mercedes stars right there besides the large Mercedes. And these are beautiful rims with oopsion shape 22 in sorry 21 in and this silver shadow black design. It really matches this GLC shape. So I will quickly jump in the back seat first. There we notice flat since we don't have a center tunnel enough leg room around 10 cm.
Beautiful guys. I'm really impressed about the space. Also the height of the ceiling. So let's put it into drive and then the car will also start because it has this engine button over here. And once you put it into drive or reverse, the car will start. So I will put off the lights by just tapping on it. Also amazing. And we will just take off. We have high beam. So very frequent fast light. So if you just beam, it will look like this. way once you use this new Mercedes beam. Ultra frequency. So I will take a right turn.
And there you see the beautiful display all over the front dash. Beautiful ambient lighting game, especially with the Mercedes stars on the ceiling. This new panoramic roof without a pillar in the middle. So it is one part. Of course, there is a downside. You can't tilt it or open it, but for that you get this full panoramic roof. So, we are driving now through beautiful Portugal suburbs near Albuer. It looks amazing. So, again, the high frequency guys and we have digital light. So, I will activate the digital light system. And now it has automatic lights.
Let me press the home button. And there we come automatically. There we automatically have the navigation screen activated. I will take a left turn. And yes, it is so quiet, guys. The comfort mode here is just like an S-Class. Hey, Mercedes, I'm listening. Change the ambient lighting to red. It will now change to red. Change it to pink. Please change the ambient Hey, Mercedes. Yes. Change the ambient lighting to pink. I'm changing the color. Amazing. But you can also, of course, change it yourself. You just hit the button right here with a lot of apps.
Hit settings, hit light. Then you have the exterior light, interior light. You can also activate or deactivate the locator outside, but I don't see it here. So that's why I would just hit the seats button. Of course, not there. And this is an challenge guys for the new MBOS. It is pretty complicated I have to say. But let's go to energizing. Ah, here it is. So it is basically very easy. You just hit the apps button. Swipe to the right. And there it already states ambient light. So you can change it to so many different colors.
Each of them has their own name. the ivory, the warm white, yellow, for green, but let's leave it on the ultramarine, but let's go for the warm blue. The brightness level you can change or the effects. So, it uses sound visualization, but also warning assistance. So, if the blind spot assist activates, then it will make it red on one side. Let's take Beautiful. Guys, I really have the feeling that I'm sitting in a high-end luxurious vehicle. This is definitely what you want when you purchase a GLC. Let me know in the comment section below, guys.
What Mercedes are you driving and where are you from? I would love to read it. There we have the head-up display. It is also connected with the augmented reality. So, if you set the destination, let's try it. Hey, Mercedes. Uh, I want to go to a restaurant in Los, sorry, Logos. And it needs to have a nice view. Just thinking, take your time. I'll be here if you need me. Very cool. Okay. So, it's looked nearby Albufa. Let's go for number one. This is the AI now functions. So, it uses JPT and Google Gemini and it depends on what question you ask and it will use both systems to give you the correct answer, the one you're looking for.
So, it did give me like a few options with a nice view. Let's be more specific. Hey, Mercedes. How may I help you? Take me to a restaurant in Lisbon with a nice view of the city. Zlasber Terza is a posh venue with a terrace, an infinity pool, and river view serving re-imagined local eats and cocktails. Does it sound like a good option for you? Cancel. Of course, it sounds like a great option. But now we are doing the night drive with the GLC. So you see it is a real impressive machine built inside the Mercedes.
And now you really have the feeling that your Mercedes is interacting with you, that you can just talk to the car. Please follow the road for 2 and 1/2 kilometers. So, let me activate the light again so we can really enjoy this beautiful The wood trim continues down. So on the lower side of the screen there we have these new air vents. So of course there's a lot of screen in front of us, but it really is compensated with high-end quality materials below it and on the side. So with this steering wheel, these buttons, you can change the gauges in front of you.
So you can just swipe to the left or right. Let's go to the right. Then we have the full view of vehicles around us. And the same assistance screen is also in the center. Therefore, I have to press them as the vehicle button or let's go to home button apps. I have to search for it a little bit. But eventually we will find it. There's a lot to figure out here. But you see the screen right there. it is. So here you have the full surroundings. If there is a person walking, it will also show on this display.
And this is what I mentioned about this 27 different radars and sensors around the vehicle. It combines every technology and gives you the perfect view of the surroundings. So, we have two vehicles next to us and of course the complete row of vehicles on the left side. So, of course, the car will also let you park. There we have the 360° bird view of this exact car in Lendo Gray. The rims are also exactly the same. and it shows that I'm braking. And now I've come to a full stop. If I hit the hazards, it will also show right here.
And this is impressive. So, back to the sides. It will just make sure you won't hit any of your rims like this. So, let's continue the GTA mode since we are driving now with a bird view. Impressive numbers of this GLC because it shoots to 100 km an hour in just 4.3 seconds. The WLTP, the range is also impressive. Even though the size of the engine is smaller, it now takes you around 715 kilometers far. Of course, in optimal situations, the charging is also very fast. In 10 minutes, you can charge up to 300 km of range because of the 350 kilowatt hour machines and also the capability that it has the forced charging.
And another impressive figure, because this is the SUV, we can have a tow capacity of 2.4 tons. So this vehicle, the GLC 400, can tow 2,400 kg. You see the person walking over here, it is also detected on the screen. So let me hit the parking button. Oh, this is also impressive. You can park and just click on it and it will show you that it can park frontwise or to the front or to the rear. And then it will show you here with the lines what it will do. So guys, thanks for watching Mer Spence.
I hope you like this video with the GLC in a night drive and I hope to see you guys next time. Bye-bye.
