How many times have you been in Lacon India so far? Uh this is my third Lakon India but fourth time coming here because I have been in a lot of live event okay here in India as well in Mumbai. So this is my third time in Amdabad though. So what would you say to someone that would like to join Lon India at some point? someone that hasn't been in India before. Yeah. So, you know, if you are from India, you probably know the energy in Lacon. Um, if you are an international coming, you know, from the outside, I think the energy in India just you don't find this anywhere else. Like it's just different, you know. Obviously, all the all the others are special, but I do think that Lacon India is just in another level in terms of energy. I love to be here. I'm you know, I'm going to be here every time I can honestly cuz it's just Yeah, it just, you know, my energy goes through the roof on this Nice. So I do have some questions for Yeah, go ahead. So what is one L feature more developers should be using in your opinion that they're not using any at the moment? Right. So Laravel by default actually offers a bunch of strict features that don't not a lot of people rely on. Uh I don't know if it's because they simply have the other coding style than I do for example but uh you know Laval models for example they have this beautiful trait called as EU uids. So you can use that for UIDs by default. Uh jobs for example can be encrypted by default if you want to. Um models can be strict as well by default if you want to. My entire talk will be about that. Tomorrow I'm going to share a bunch of tips like But I think in general laval has so many little things that can make your app super strict you know that can make your app as much strict as possible. And if you are a developer who loves these kind of things it can really get you like you just love it. Cool. Okay. So next question is what is the fastest way to make a Laravel app feel faster in terms of speed? Uh the fastest way I would recommend Laravel Octane with Franken PHP. I think franken PHP is a beautiful technology and um you know we all love Franken PHP a little bit but but I think with Octane especially it just your lot will get a 30% improval. I think being on the latest PHP version also helps a little bit and it just doesn't cost anything really. So yeah, like the speech version, a lot of Loctane and that really helps. Yeah, that's very cool. Okay, so next question is uh how do you keep up with Laval changes in general, but in use for in terms of resources and everything, you know, right? So I'm a little bit lucky cuz I, you know, I just work at Laval, but also I, you know, I get to see what is new in Laval in general. What I would advise to people, you know, is just, you know, create a Twitter account. Just follow Laravel's Twitter account because literally every week we not only have Laravel tweeting about stuff but we also have videos by the our marketing team Christopher Brample Josh Leah all of them are working on creating content to Laravel and they always speak about Laravel new features you know I know that you know for a fact that this AI SDK for example will have a bunch of content on social media so we'll be able to see everything coming new to this AI SDK so yeah that's what I would recommend to people that's so cool I have one last question for How so how is AI actually helping you in your Laravel workflow daily? Uh good question. So the way I use AI is first of all I don't have a highly complicated um you know agent skills. Yeah like like I do you know a lot of people have this I don't have a lot of complicated things but I can tell you for the fact that knowing how to prompt AI is important. uh meaning that a few things I do is first of all I I give him the big picture of what I'm trying to accomplish but then I ask him to execute it slowly and I always wait for my approval on things. So if I want a feature that has like the full spectrum things like controllers, models, migrations, test kind of the full picture, I always ask AI to uh you know start with the migration you know and it will just crafting the migration then I say well maybe do this and that and once I'm happy with the migration I ask you can move forward and what I've noticed is that when you move like this not only you have control of the code you are shipping but at the same time you also kind of you can you can guide the AI like for example imagine that AI AI doesn't craft a lot of action which is something I really love. I can just say wait a second before moving to the front end or before just continue to move forward make sure you use an action here. So you can just literally shape the AI things shape it to the way you want. Yeah. Shape it in the way you want. You also control every single piece of code going shipped into production. I'm going to speak a lot about this tomorrow but I really feel like agentic coding which is what we are doing is very different from vibe coding where you only validate the browser. So you want to validate obviously the behavior on the browser but equally you know the entire every single piece of code that is being chipped. Yeah. I do agree with that. Yeah. Do you use cloud code? Cloud code oo 4.5. Yeah. In the CLI I use something called open code. Oh you use open code. That's so open code with cloud code us 4.5. How's that compare to actual cloud code? It's just much better. Is it better? Okay. Yeah. I don't know what you guys think, but I I've been using open code since it's since since the first day I've tried it, which is not a long time ago.
