Five faceless YouTube niches with strong 2026 upside—historical war storytelling leads the pack, followed by nostalgic American history, comedy cooking, point-of-view vlogging, and ancient-past animals.

Summary

Shane Hummus breaks down six-figure potential in five faceless YouTube niches you can run without showing your face. He emphasizes that a surprising share of viewers skew older and wealthier, so niches geared toward baby boomers and history buffs can command solid ad revenue. Historical war storytelling (ex: World War II Tales) demonstrates how untold war stories can attract big view counts and substantial earnings, with examples and earnings estimates from VidIQ and View Stats. Nostalgic American history targets Americana nostalgia across the 1950s–1980s, again highlighting the older demographic’s purchasing power. Comedy cooking, as exemplified by You Suck at Cooking, shows how humor plus unconventional recipes can drive high engagement and cross-sell opportunities like books and merch. Point-of-view vlogging, illustrated by Tired Tokyo, proves you can monetize lifestyle content without showing your face while appealing to curious audiences about daily life in Japan. Finally, animals from the past, like Vividen Paleontology Evolved, blends ancient history with speculative scenarios (dinosaurs in warfare) to create evergreen content with durable interest. Throughout, Shane stresses the gap between mere views and monetization, urging creators to optimize income beyond AdSense and to join his free live workshop on niche validation and monetization strategies. He also pitches a one-time live Q&A and a 60-second niche validator tool to help viewers pick profitable ideas from day one.

Today I have a great one for you. We're going to be going over a bunch of different faceless niches. So these are niches that you could do without showing your face or showing your face cuz any niche you can do without showing your face, you could also do it if you do want to show your face as well. And these are niches that I think are going to make a lot of people a lot of money. Without further ado, let's jump into it right after you gently tap that like button. But a quick disclaimer before. Yes, there are a lot of great opportunities in these niches, and I'm super excited to present these to you. But with that being said, I also want to be brutally honest. 99% of YouTube channels don't work out. To be fair, most people probably are just uploading, you know, cat videos to YouTube. They're not actually trying to make money from it. But with that being said, most times that people start businesses or try to make money online, they are going to fail. That is just reality. With that being said, I want to show you some really good opportunities because I think one of the main reasons that people fail is because they don't know the right opportunities, the right niches, and the right ideas to cover on YouTube. And that is exactly why I'm running a one-time live Q&A this Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. It will be a Zoom call where you can talk directly to me and I will be telling you how you can pick the right niche for you. And you can check that out down in the description and the pin comment below. do not miss out on because I want you to have the absolute best opportunity for success and I want you to choose the right idea from day one so you don't waste years of time going in the wrong direction. So with that being said, let's jump into it right now with niche number one, which is historical war storytelling. Now, this is a niche that is getting a ton of views and printing a ton of money right now. And this is where you create videos about untold war stories. So just as an example, here is a channel, World War II Tales. Now, according to Vid IQ, they've gotten about $441,000 views in the last 7 days. And their monthly earnings are about $4 to $11,000. And according to View Stats, they've gotten about 1.6 million views in the last 28 days. And they're making about $4 to $12,000, which is down about $15,000 from what they made last month. Now, their most popular video is the do little raid shock Japanese into realization that Americans were only beginning to fight. That video was posted about 1 year ago. So, I got 1.7 million views and it made about $8.6,000. So, yeah, $8.6,000. That's pretty good money for something that probably didn't take them all that long to make. So, a lot of people are very interested in World War II related content or just, you know, historical content in general. World War II is one of the most popular wars of all time, of course, and so this channel is basically just dedicated to all different aspects of World War II. Now, one thing I will say is VidIQ and View Stats both say that this channel is making about $4 to $111,000 a month. However, the owner of this channel actually showed proof that the channel made over $100,000 just a couple months ago. So, that just goes to show that typically these predictors of income actually underpredict what the real income of the channel is. And yeah, this channel is completely faceless. It's all done with AI, voiceover, and stock footage. And this niche works because people love military history, especially baby boomers and history buffs. And that's probably one of the big reasons why uh tools like Vid IQ and view stats are actually under representing how much the channel is actually making is because this channel probably has a primarily older audience. And older audiences have more money, more buying power and therefore advertisers are willing to pay more to get in front of them. If you weren't aware, the 50 and above demographic in the United States of America has about 70 to 80% of the wealth. And so, if you can advertise to that 50 and above demographic, you can make a lot more money. And that's a reoccurring thing that I've been talking about quite a bit. Now, if you're watching this and you are in that older demographic, then this is an amazing opportunity for you because it's going to be easier than anybody else to actually make content for that demographic because you're familiar with it. There have been older people that are blowing up left and right on YouTube all the time. And some of the channels that we've been helping that have blown up the easiest recently have been in that older demographic because basically there's a massive amount of demand for that type of content and there's not that much supply. So, if you want help really locking your niche in, figuring out what your channel idea is going to be and all that kind of thing, attend the live training this Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Check the link in the description and the pin comment below cuz we can definitely help you lock it in. What's up, guys? in the editing process right now. And I just wanted to mention that if you're struggling to grow on YouTube, you're having trouble getting views, subscribers, making money, or even picking a niche, etc. I'm hosting a free one-time live workshop that goes over how to help with that called Why YouTube is the greatest business to start in 2026. And make sure to click the link in the description now or the pin comment below in order to lock your spot in. And if you attend live, you'll also have a chance to be the one person I pick for a real time channel audit once we move into the interactive portion of the workshop. So, if you're not sure what niche to choose or you feel like the niche you're currently in may not be profitable or targeted enough, then this is going to be for you because at this workshop, I'll be giving away the 60-second niche validator 2.2 completely free. This is the newest version of my GPT powered niche validation tool that helps you instantly test and uncover profitable YouTube niches before you waste time creating content that doesn't convert. It's been refined and updated based on real channel data. And I'll be giving it away completely free, but only during this live workshop. And just a quick heads up, I'll be turning this into a full software product soon. So this version may not be available free for much longer. So if you've been waiting to get it, this is a good time to do it now. Now, during this workshop, there's a full presentation on how to grow on YouTube, followed by a Q&A where you can ask me literally any question you want directly on Zoom, and people ask a lot of questions. The majority of the time, it's about stuff like how to pick your niche. And many people walk away with clarity on their niche during the session. And the same strategies I teach in these sessions are the ones that help clients such as Josh who scaled from 1K a month to 186K per month, Alex who built up to 15K per month, and Sean who went from 30K a month all the way up to a high of over $500,000 a month. And even people who weren't clients like Isaiah were able to make $20,000 in a single month just from attending my live and applying what I taught there. So do not miss this live workshop. Click the link in the description of the pin comment to register and then add it to your calendar so you don't miss the chance to grab the 60-cond niche validator 2.2. If you missed this date, check the link to see the next scheduled workshop if we're going to do another one. And I'll see you Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Now, back to the video. Let's move on to niche number two, which is also for this demographic, and that is nostalgic American history. Now, you can probably tell that I am very excited about these types of niches, and this is why I think these types of niches are going to make a lot of people rich in 2026 because this niche takes people back to past decades. You're exploring the culture, the trends, and the events that shaped America. You can think about it like this. You're showing people what life was like in the ' 50s, the '60s, the '7s, and the 80s. And guess what? A lot of people in the older demographics want to see content like this. So the example here is the channel America Before and according to Vid IQ this channel is getting about 297,000 views in the last 7 days and they're making about1 to $4,000 a month. According to view stats they've gotten about a million views in the last month about 971,000 and they're making about 2.6 to $7.1,000 over the last month as well. Now, like I said before, you saw visual proof that they drastically underestimate how much some channels make, especially if it appeals to an older demographic, and especially if it appeals to an affluent demographic, aka Americans. Believe it or not, if you live in the United States of America, and if you have a median income, you are more affluent than probably 80 plus% of the world. Might not feel like it, but that is the truth. And so, advertisers want to get in front of you. Now, the most viewed video on this channel is 13 dangerous old car features that no longer exist. Now, that is a super interesting video concept, and it's from the 1960s. And if you click on the video, view stats said this one video has already made over $7,000. Now, I would be willing to bet this channel is making a lot more than that. I would be willing to bet this video probably made a lot more than that. Always keep in mind that this is just AdSense alone, right? So, we're not talking about other stuff that they can sell from their channel because let's be honest, most of these YouTube channels can sell other stuff. Sometimes the YouTube channel owners don't know how to monetize correctly. That's another thing that I'll be covering in my live training this Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. So, check that out below. But, yeah, lot of opportunity in these types of niches. All right, niche number three is comedy cooking. And I have seen a lot of different cooking channels blow up and they're doing extremely well. So, in this particular case, the channel is called You Suck at Cooking. Now, this channel has gotten, according to Vid IQ, 1.7 million views in the last 7 days, and they make about 16 to $49,000 a month. And according to view stats, their video modified ramen got about 10 million views and made over $14,000. So, pretty simple video to make. You know, this is an interesting concept. And they're also selling books and merch and all kinds of other stuff on the back end. So, this is one of those niches where you can monetize with things like cooking books, just as an example. and they make a lot of weird food and they have a very weird sense of humor as well in their videos. And that is something that you can do to differentiate yourself from all those other channels. So cooking is obviously a pretty saturated niche. There's a lot of people in the cooking niche. And so if you just make a general cooking channel, it's just not going to do well unless you're exceptionally good. You have to make unbelievably good content. That's the only way for you to differentiate yourself if you just make general cooking content. But there's so many other ways that you can differentiate yourself that will make your channel unique, give it a unique value proposition, and will let you stand out and let you bring in an audience of people that know, like, and trust you. And this is one of them. So, you combine basically cooking, and then you do cooking weird dishes. And then you also have a certain sense of humor and comedy on your channel that's different than other channels out there, and that's why they've been able to have so much success. And this is another thing that we cover in the training this Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Click that link in the description, the pin comment below. Training is completely free. We also give you AIS that we've been working on that make all this kind of thing really easy. For instance, picking your niche, picking the sort of personality of your channel and that kind of thing. So, definitely don't miss out on that. All right. So, niche number four is point of view vlogging. And this is one where you don't necessarily have to show your face. And specifically, it can be point of view vlogging for people who live a certain lifestyle. So, in this particular case, this channel is called Tired Tokyo. This is a Tokyo salary man that's basically just pretty tired, and he just vlogs his point of view, cuts the videos together a little bit, and just kind of shares his day-to-day experience. Now, a lot of people are fascinated about Japan and Japanese culture in general, and they really want to see what it's like to be a Tokyo salary man, just like this guy, what it's like to work a normal Tokyo office job. And so, that's why this channel has been able to blow up so quickly. Now, according to Vid IQ, this channel is getting about $188,000 views in the last 7 days and making about $2 to $7,000 a month. And this video right here that they posted just 3 months ago has made about $2.9,000 and it's gotten about 2 million views according to view stats. Now, I think this is probably underestimating how much money they're making cuz 2 million views, chances are they've made closer to $10 to $20,000 from this video, especially considering Japan and the people watching this probably come from first world countries that have a lot of money and they're quite interested in this lifestyle. And this channel is just getting started. I mean, they just started a few months ago. Even if they're only making $2,000 a month, that is incredible. And again, there's probably lots of different ways to monetize this channel. They're not even thinking about that yet. So, really good stuff. they're going to make a ton of money just from AdSense alone. And if they monetize it correctly, they're going to make a lot more money. Which, by the way, if any of these channels are watching this video, or you have other channels out there like that that are not monetizing correctly, I'm not making fun of you by any means. Click the link in the description in the pen comment below. I have a free training and it's a live training. It's a Zoom call where you get to talk to me directly this Time, where I will teach you how to monetize correctly. The next niche I've been seeing very very popular and that is animals from the past and covering what different time periods sometimes they might be hundreds of thousands of years ago or even hundreds of millions of years ago were like people have this endless curiosity about that. And more than that there's some channels that combine that sort of history I guess you could say but like ancient ancient like extremely ancient history they combine it with some sort of fantasy type ideas. So, just as an example, this channel right here, Vividen Paleontology Evolved, has this video, which dinosaurs would be the best for ancient warfare. So, it's combining like dinosaurs, ancient warfare, and like hypothetical scenarios. And you can kind of see here that there is just unlimited amounts of videos that you can make because these are just weird hypothetical scenarios that will never happen, have never happened, but are quite interesting. And this channel got about 188,000 views in the last 7 days. And it says they're making about $1 to $4,000 a month on Vid IQ. According to view stats, it's about the same, 1.7 to $4.8,000. And their best video, Could Megalodon survive in the Subnautica, got about 960,000 views and made about $4.7,000. So yeah, you can see that, you know, this is one of those absolutely evergreen channel. You're never going to run out of content on a channel like this cuz there's just infinite different ideas for stuff that you can talk about. And it's quite interesting. You can combine some sort of educational fact stuff and then some sort of fantasy stuff and then combine them together and just speculate on what things would really be like. You know, for instance, which dinosaurs would have been best in Ancient Warfare? I think the Triceratops would have been pretty OP personally. But yeah, these are the types of channels where it's probably not going to make a ridiculous amount of money, but I just think there's so much opportunity out there for channels like this in many, many different niches out there. So, just as an example, instead of dinosaurs, maybe it could be which superheroes would win in different universes or which characters from different types of books would win or which characters from different movies would win if they faced off against each other. All kinds of stuff like that. But with that being said, I think there's so much opportunity on YouTube. I don't think it's saturated at all. I think it's just sort of dividing into a bunch of different niches. However, I do believe that there is only so many eyeballs in the world. There's only so many hours in the day. And I think that people need to start getting better at actually monetizing those views. So instead of trying to get more views necessarily, getting more views is always good, but instead of absolutely relying on having to get more views, you should just monetize the views that you already have more effectively. And that's exactly what I preach on this channel. And I'm going to be teaching you how to do that this Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Check that out in the description in the pin comment below. And also check out this video right here from somebody that I helped properly monetize their channel and make 10 times more money. And you can check that out by clicking right here.
