I'm addicted to Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert has probably been I think it's going to be one of the most polarizing games of the year. I do think so. And like if I look at, for example, how how are we doing? Like let me see if there's any other clips of this that are worth looking at. Uh in the last 24 hours, are people enjoying it? Uh let's see. I'll double check. It's a dra there's a dragon. Well, actually, I don't want to look at that in case it'll be a [ __ ] spoiler, right? And uh I'll look at a couple of these other ones. Uh, it feels vibeccoated. Well, the game has a lot of like it has a lot of problems. Like I I think that it's definitely like I would not categorize it as a uh flawed masterpiece. I would categorize it as flawed. Like it's definitely a game like I I've been inside of the world of like kind of playing it but then also being annoyed by playing it. Like it's been very weird for me to do this. Story is ass. Well, I played So yesterday I did a puzzle. Like basically the problems that I have with the game. If the game played the way that I think it should play, I think the game would be good. It's mainly about playability. That's the main concern that I have. The playability is the issue, not necessarily the content itself. So, like for example, I I'll show you a good point of this, right? Does it need another 3 to six months to cook? Well, I don't know about that. Let me let me I'll give you guys an example. Is it better in Dragon Sagma 2? No. Like, you could say the story is better, but that's like uh it's not saying a lot. Okay. You didn't elaborate on why the story is bad. So, basically what I had to do is you had to go to these and then match them up and like walk over them without overlapping, right? Which is it it's pretty easy, but the problem is that like this is not really hard, but here's the issue is the way the character moves is like you're you're kind of like moving a car in a way. So the the and if you accidentally step on the wrong brick, it instantly fails the puzzle. Or if you move too fast, it will fail the puzzle, too. So it creates instances where the player is reinforced into a fail state that was not an actual fail state, but was an outcome of the game controls. But the player might not be able to isolate that variable and then realize what they're doing right or wrong. And that's the issue. Just find us. Yeah. So, so like it's not like it's hard at a baseline. It It's hard because of the controls. Okay. But anyway, now we're going to go and [ __ ] this boss in the ass. All right, let's go. Somehow I got this uh this quest. We are. Yes. You have to have 400 IQ. Well, it's it's about feedback. I think that feedback is the most important thing. And if you have good feedback, then you can have a successful game because then people can know, okay, what I'm doing is right, what I'm doing is wrong. And I I understand that people might not think this is the fastest way to get over there. The reason for that is probably because it's not the fastest way to get over there, but it's the best I can do because I don't know what the [ __ ] I am doing. Um, wait. Wasn't I just here? Wait a minute. X33 had good feedback. Yeah, it did. It did. And I think that games that have good feedback can help people understand what they're doing right versus what they're doing wrong. And that way, the player can iterate on their behavior based off of that feedback. It's hard to iterate off of and problem solve whenever you're not getting a solution to the problem being presented to you. or uh you know the problem that's being presented to you that like you even have one.
