GPT-5.5 low + Codex Browser overhauls budget workflows, proving faster, cheaper AI-driven site audits and report generation versus Claude Code.

Summary

Income stream surfers’ latest deep-dive puts GPT-5.5 on low through Codex, showcasing a browser-enabled workflow that makes Claude Code look costly and clunky by comparison. The creator runs a live side-by-side test between two URLs, generating a step-by-step PDF report and homepage-audit feedback in minutes. He repeatedly boasts that a $20/month GPT-5.5 plan beats Claude’s expensive tiers for building dashboards, SEO reports, and client deliverables. The Codex Browser tool proves surprisingly robust, delivering screenshots and traversal results that feed back into actionable changes for client sites. Despite early bugs (browser tool occasionally launching Playwright or requiring login), the payoff is a materially faster, cheaper automation loop. He contrasts the experience with Claude Code, arguing the latter drains usage quickly—a major constraint on budget-conscious teams. Throughout, the video doubles as a proof-of-concept for affordable AI-assisted web development and client reporting, with explicit calls to action for interested clients. The host also nudges viewers toward available services (Nex.js projects, Shopify AI-first stores) and invites engagement for future, more detailed demonstrations. The overall message: for a budget-conscious workflow, GPT-5.5 on low with Codex Browser is a game changer—fast, cheap, and capable of generating professional, executive reports in hours instead of days.

Key Takeaways

  • GPT-5.5 on low costs about $19–$20 per month and provides ample usage for building complex browser-assisted tasks.
  • Codex Browser delivers faster, more capable browser interactions than Claude Code in the creator’s tests, including screenshot generation for PDFs.
  • A $20/month GPT setup can outperform Claude’s higher-priced plans (e.g., $100, $200) for client-ready reports and development tasks.
  • The workflow includes generating step-by-step PDFs comparing current vs. dev sites, then translating visuals into actionable dev feedback.
  • The user generates client-ready SEO and website-activity reports (three-month benchmarks, keyword rankings) with automated PDFs—saving hours per client.
  • Early browser-tool bugs exist (occasional Playwright launches, login issues), but the payoff is sustained speed and utility after setup.
  • Codeex, especially with 5.5 low, is presented as a strong substitute for Claude Code in production environments, with ongoing testing suggested for best results.

If you're still using clawed code with Chrome, this video is for you. This is better, cheaper, faster. Let's jump into it. So, if you don't know, the Codeex app has been catching up quickly to Claude Code. And this in particular, the way that they do browser is significantly better. So, let's just jump into things here. I'm basically I'm on a project and I'm going to show you an example of this. This would take Claude probably an hour to do successfully and 99% of my plan would be gone from just this. Instead, bear in mind, I only pay $20 a month for Chad GPT and it lets me do this entire thing. Now, I'm just going to quickly say open up your internal browser tool. I don't know why, but some it's a little bit buggy. Uh sometimes it just decides to open up Playright, for example. And also like you're not logged in or anything like that. I I it needs a little bit of polishing to be honest with you. But yeah, I mean, okay, so finally I got it open. That took way way way too long. So I'm just going to open up two uh things here or I'll ask it to open up. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to do a sideby-side comparison of the current website and the website that we are rebuilding for the client, right? So you can understand how I use browser use. So this internal tool, it's very very buggy to get started with it, but once you get it open, it's extremely strong. So I'm just going to give it these two URLs. The first one, like I said, is the one that we're making. The second one is the current website. I'm just going to say, please create a PDF report with screenshots showing the difference on the homepage section by section between the current website and the Versel Versel dev website. So it's now going to create that report, right? And then I can use that for feedback. Actually, even better would be uh make the PDF like a step by step to making the homepage on the dev website look like the current home page. So this is because I need feedback to give to Claude or maybe Codeex in order to get the dev website to look like the current website because it's a onetoone copy. That's what they want. So, I've been finding GBT 5.5 on low is extremely fast, extremely cheap. You get like a really, really large amount of use out of it. And you have access to the browser tool, which is normally very, very fast. For some reason, it's a little bit slower at the beginning, it seems like, but then it starts to really start to speed up. Again, like this is kind of slow compared to what I'm what I've been using the last few days, but we'll just let this run. We'll see how long it takes. So, it's 2006. Bear in mind, I only pay $20 for Chat GBT every month. I'm not on the $100 plan, the $200 plan. This is the kind of thing that you cannot do on Claude Code because your usage will just get eaten up so quickly. I'm telling you guys, GBT 5.5 on low is probably good enough to build anything for 20 bucks a month, right? In fact, I might actually prove that in some videos very, very soon. So, like I said, guys, you can see this is already getting to work here. This would probably have already used most of my usage for Claude Code, right? For the $20 plan. The $20 plan is notorious uh at Claude for being absolutely terrible. I don't use it personally. I use the $200 plan. But I guess what I'm trying to show you guys is that for this price, you can get this amount of power, right? Look at it. I mean, this is crazy what it's doing right now. It's so much faster than the browser use on Claude Code. It does take screenshots. I don't know why someone told me that it doesn't take screenshots. That's not true. It does take screenshots. Yeah, I mean it's already got pretty much this entire thing done. And um I don't know if there's a way to check usage. Let's see if there's a I think there is actually. Okay, guys. So, as I say that I am about to run out of usage. I have used this a lot more than just this. I just generated an entire PDF report for a client, right, which would have used a lot of usage. Um, I've been doing a fair amount of testing with GPT 5.5 on low, uh, because I actually really like the Codex app as well. I think the Codex app is really, really well done. And now that I discovered that the browser is even better here. You might need the $100 plan. I don't know. I might actually just run out of usage right here. We'll see. But, um, I do want to just quickly show this. The browser inside Codeex is significantly better. And also, if you're on a budget, the $19 plan of codeex is going to get you much further than the $20 plan from Claude. Okay, guys. So, this has now created a PDF report for me. I just want to show you guys this cuz I I think this is a really interesting way to use um GBT 5.5 low inside the Codex app. Generating these reports, guys. People pay for these reports. People need these reports, right? the these are the things that people need uh to understand like you know what their actual business looks like compared to what they want it to look like for example all that good stuff so and also I can use this as a feedback loop for my AI taking it from what it looks like now to what it actually needs to look like right so hopefully there'll be yeah exactly so step-by-step changes replace the dev hero background image of the sauna building with the current chicken feed background okay this is a scrolling image so it's kind of hard to uh for for GPT to know that. That's fine. Yeah. And you can you can see the feedback here, guys. I'm just going to scroll through. But like I could take this and just dump this into Claude, for example, where I have a $200 usage and this is so much faster. This would have taken Claude so long. This was about 5 minutes, guys. Maybe not even 5 minutes. And I get this entire Yeah. So, just to show you guys, this was another really interesting use case that I got out of this. Basically, this is like an SEO report for one of our uh clients. Basically, just keeping them informed of how the website is going, right? This is the kind of thing that used to take us maybe 3 hours every few months per client, right? Because you have to go in, you have to take screenshots because people want to see these numbers, right? There's no fudging these numbers as well. Like it doesn't matter if I use AI or if I do it myself. There's these numbers are the numbers, right? direct from search console 3 months versus 3 months, right? That's just how we do it. Um, and yeah, just like executive reporting, telling PE, telling them what keywords they're ranking for, what blogs are ranking well, that kind of stuff, all in a neat PDF document. And again, I am only on the $19 uh GPT plan, right? So, I think this is probably the best alternative to Claude Code at the moment. I do think other things are catching up, but as of today, I definitely think that this is where things are at still. Codeex is an absolute beast. 5.5 with low is extremely fast. If you use it on extra high, you're going to use too much usage and it's just going to basically take too long, right? And yeah, too much usage. So, definitely use it on low. It's much faster and in my opinion much better. Now, if you have a project that you want working on, whether that be Nex.js, s Shopify.
