Like, that's how urgent the news is, right? I have something to tell you guys that I can say today and maybe not tomorrow, right? It's big news. It might be the biggest news. I know. But yes, we're gonna get to the band ban. I'm just waiting for people to get in here so that they can filter in and everything will be fine there. Yeah, we're we're slowly meandering our way towards starting this stream as I usually do because I do it in uh pretty much perfect fashion every time and I never make a mistake. Um, but yes, I have a huge announcement, an enormous amount announcement, and I can factually say this. And yes, thank you all so much. I know you guys are watching the movie today. I know some of you watched it yesterday. I know that you're going to go into the uh in into the rest of the weekend watching it. And please keep spoilers to a minimum. We're not going to be discussing the plot points of the movie today. We're going to be playing Ban Ban. Maybe after this, I'll revisit Iron Lung the game. Maybe I'll do another stream tomorrow. It'll be uh it'll be it'll be pretty cool. But I have something to say that I can't ever say any other time ever. Iron Lung is the number one movie in America. Iron Lung is the number one movie in America today. It's the number one movie. Take that, Sam Remy. You You're going to need people to send help after Iron Lung comes in and takes it all. Yeah. Well, yeah. It's true. It's true. It actually is. I can say that today and that might, like I said, that might not be true tomorrow. So, I'm going to say it as much as I can today. I need people to go take the trailer, rip it down, and then try to shove number one in every possible frame possible. Like when I'm, you know, that shot where the lights are going, I'm looking to the left. in my eyes put number ones like in the first one where I take a picture it goes bouch and then it goes to the picture it's a big number one you know it's number one movie in America and then I'll put all the I'll put those out everywhere I'll get billboards I I'll I'll actually spend a dollar on marketing I'll do some but we're the number one movie in America number one. Yes. Ah yeah. No, I've been I've been having a blast. I've been having so much fun. And no, we're not going to talk about it. We're not talking about it. There's more important things to do like playing Ban Ban. That is obviously the most important thing that I need to do right now. So, that's what I'm going to do. Even if we're going to be number one for the rest of the day and it's, you know, that's an achievement. Of course, it is. But, you know, that's it's so hard making history every day for me. You know, it's just so difficult to be able to bask in this. [snorts] It it really was a surprise. And this look, this is purely by the uh the early uh showings. And there's so funny. Um we don't have any of the kind of analytics that other movie studios would have. Not that I'm even a movie studio because we never anticipated that it would in any way have more than 50 or 100 theaters. So we figured that we'd just be able to ask them, hey, did you sell some tickets? Great. That's a good number. Um, so we don't have we're not tracking anything. I we I'm not tracking anything. I'm just as surprised as you are when I wake up and it's like boom is I think the deadline article was Aron Long inhales the Thursday preview night for number one [laughter] and I'm like and yesterday you know when the when the headlines are like looks like Sendel is going to take the number one spot and Iron Lung's going to be a close second. I'm like sure sounds good to me. Hey, I'm happy about that. And then so I have to go I have to go by what other people are doing so I get the news at the exact same time as you [laughter] do. I'm just as surprised. Anyway, yeah. No, it's inhaling. I I I just, you know, I'm not really trying to gloat about this. It's just like Amy and I were laughing so hard this morning because it was like, "Oh, we got to make we got to make all those assets. We got to figure out like, you know, the shot where it goes on the the proximities. will hear, but all of them make them orange number ones going [laughter] because if we don't give it out today, it may not be true tomorrow. So, we just got to take advantage of it while we can. Yeah. Anyway, anyway, I know that a lot of people are going to see it tonight. Please do not spoil it. These transformations would revert once the episode is decided. This transform state will be referred to as K6B in subsequent reports. Ainating these side effects is our top priority. So the thing about that is what I really like about this trailer is that I mean for me sound and music really puts you into the space of environment and I think that what this does is capture that kind of feeling that the original Darkwood had when you played it. um maybe a little less of the isolation feeling because I think when Darkwood first was being, you know, marketed and had its trailers, um it had more of a kind of lonely vibe to it at first. This one is very much just like these woods are haunted and they're going to kill you and it's right outside of your vision and it's right and I really like the way the the sounds that it's making and the groans are just super super super cool. Um I'm a big fan of that. that I think I think is just fun uh when things are able to get into that. So So I I like that a lot. Um I'm very excited. I will definitely do a playthrough of that once it comes out. Uh I want to also there was another uh another was another game that was coming out. I do know that um that what's it called? What who is Powerwash Simulator 2 has had a release. I have not I'm whispering. No one There's nothing else playing. There's nothing else being said. No one else is talking. I I can whisper if I want to. That's fine. I can do that. I can whisper just fine. I know that Power Simulator 2 has had a thing. Oh, Resident Evil 9 trailer. You know, why not? Why not be a little Why not, you know? Why not? Resident Evil 9 trailer. I'm not seeing a trailer. What was that? There was another horror game that had like hyperrealistic visuals that was coming out. Uh, Silent Hill F. I do want to finish Silent Hill F. I do want that. I do. I want to play more more White Knuckle. I It had a lot of updates. It had one update where a face chases you, and that's pretty cool. Nope. Uh, no, no, no. It wasn't Super Liinal. No, it wasn't that. It was another one. Um, it was a specifically it was a horror game that was like a shooter game. It was kind of like Resident Evil. I don't remember what it was. No, it's not Poppy Playtime. No, it's not that. Ill. That was it. It was ill. Right. So, ill. I'm not sure like what the quality is going to be like, but from a visual standpoint, it was looking looking pretty sick. That's looking very very gnarly. Let me pull up uh something from them. Uh do they have Oh, what was that? Is that actually it? Wait, no. Am I thinking the wrong thing? No, not quarantine zone. No, this isn't game suggestion time. This isn't that at all. That's not what this is. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That's not what it is. There's uh Let me look at this for one second. Okay, hold on. Hold on. So, ill, I believe, if I'm seeing this correctly. Right there. Okay, I need to go now. Bam. Boom. It's like I'm playing. Whoa, that was a close one. So, ill seems really like graphic-wise great, but we've we've already pushed the point in gaming where we get like great graphics as a default, right? So, when it comes down to this, what intrigues me is the sound design in the mix of the way it all comes together and like that chase and the horrificness of the monster. It looks very much like the forest monster in a way. Um, but it also has these Resident Evil vibes, so I'm not 100% sure. I'm not 100% sure if it's going to be a good game, if it's going to be able to keep this up throughout the entirety of the game, but just from this, I'm like, that is kind of spooky. Kind of a little spooky. Yeah, I tried playing Voices of the Void. That didn't necessarily work out too well for me. What was that? Look out. Yeah, it has that's totally that's a good point. It has a little bit of penumbra to it. I don't know what it is about it that kind of has a penumbra vibe, but it's like the style of the underground facility that it's in just feels slightly penumbraesque. Oh boy. I don't know if I've actually seen this all the way through. Gnarly. handy. Oops. [groaning] Oh, is that it? Oh, that's it. Okay. So, uh not not the most, you know, incredible ending, of course, but it just is what it is. Uh, that being said, I think that there's potential there. But it could be it could also just be a very average other uh shooter horror game going on there. But there's there's a lot of good stuff that's coming out this year that I think is going to be very interesting. All right. So, I'm going to save I'm going to save actually playing through Iron Long until I can start to talk about it in a spoilery way. But that would only happen once I'm able to figure out a plan to get it out to everybody after it's in theaters right now. So, right now it's in theaters and it's doing it's doing ridiculously. And I I'm I'm just eternally grateful. I I I am I've said that before, but I'm just I woke up today and I was just like in the best mood. I just I mean I went to bed last night in the best mood. I woke up yesterday in the best mood. I just have so much motivation to keep making more of these things and take everything that I learned in 3 years from this. And that's the craziest thing. Like, man, we filmed this and I I wrote this like 3 years ago. and and going through and seeing one one of the best things that you can do, I think anyway, as as someone that's trying to do this at all, e, even if you're acting or directing or editing or whatever have you, I think one of the best things you can do is look at it realistically, like face the problems with it because one one of the best things you can do to learn that learn any skill is being able to get to the point where you can identify what's wrong with it is such a good place to be. And there are certain problems that you can fix. There's certain problems that you can't fix. And going into it and trying to like craft it together while still being honest to the source material and pushing it forward like that, it has been such a wonderful experience for me. And to see it after 3 years of this kind of progress to get to this point where I'm able to have it in front of you guys and you be able to see it and and it's just and and people are actually liking it. That's just icing on the cake. I I'm proud of it and I'm proud that it came out and I'm proud of how I've come how far I've come from making it. But I'm so happy that I was able to make, you know, the developer of the game like feel involved with the whole process. Hopefully happy with the final product, Andrew's music, just being able to resonate through it and even able to talk with them and be like, "Oh man, I'm so glad that your soundtrack is doing well. People can listen to that." And then all the other talented people that were part of the crew and and its success is just this is icing on the cake. I I I can't wait to give everyone just a massive bonus from from this and I just like pay them back for all the hard work and that they that they lend to me and just I don't know just really truly I I just I love being able to do this and if I'm able to do this and also keep people working in the fields that really make them inspire and and and able to succeed creatively like that's just a dream come true, you know? That's that's a that's a [ __ ] dream right there. [sighs and gasps] So people just getting home from that. Thank you for so much for going out at all and seeing it. I I just I'm just so [ __ ] glad. I I hope uh I know that I I got a text earlier that um some of the crew, a lot of the crew are going to see it this weekend and they haven't had a chance to see it since like a version of it that was out like a year ago when I did like this cast and crew screening um to where it is now. And so they haven't seen it evolved and some of them didn't even make it to that. And so they get to see all the hard work come through here. And I have a little special surprise for them uh later in the credits. Uh but it's just Yeah. Yeah. It's just super super fun. It was it was an incredible experience being able to make it to bring it to this point and to have it have a success is the only it it's all up to you. Like it's all thanks to you guys and I want to make sure that that gratitude gets placed exactly where it should be. um like on the shoulders of the crew that carried it so far on the shoulder. I mean a lot of people really really liked all the cinematography in it. That was all Phil DP Phil. I mean we had conversations of course we were talking about it but Phil Oh, that reminds me. I got to pam I got to show you. I got to show you. Gratitude is goes where gratitude goes. And Phil did such a wonderful job crafting how the the the thing would be shot. all those beautiful shots, the conversations that we had of how to capture every inch of it. I'm not spoiling it, but let me tell you, people are agreeing it's a beautifully shot movie. There is no doubt in anybody's mind about that. And let me tell you, I got a special surprise. I've been looking for this lens for a while. A good version of this lens I have been itching for for a very long time. When I show you this, you're going to be like, "That's a lens." And I'm going to be like, "Yeah, that's a lens. Hang on. It's very heavy. Okay, so this bad mama jamba right here, you might be able to even see it and what's on it. This it might be backwards for it might be backwards for you. I don't know. Yes, this is a lens and I have been looking for a high quality version of this for a very long time. This it's not as old as the other lenses there. Yeah. This is one lens. It's one lens. All right. Hold on. I'll open it for you. Yeah. Uhhuh. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And so I found this one listed as unused, right? Unused. It It had been opened, but it was unused. So, it has never actually filmed anything. It is a pristine example of when it came through. And it's got a protective box that I promise I will not drop. Right. So I I have opened it, but I have not tried it for myself. So I have not verified that it's in perfect condition, but I have no reason to not trust the the seller. Let me hang I got to put this back down. [clears throat] That's the lens. LOOK AT THAT THING. LOOK AT THAT. LOOK AT THIS THING. Look at this [ __ ] thing. Look at this [ __ ] thing. Oh man. It's uh It's nuts. It's nuts. It's a 600 millimeter lens, right? 600 mm. Sorry. 600 mm F4, right? So, it's 600. F4. It's not the brightest lens, but for a vintage lens being F4 at this length is pretty cool. That's why the front is gigantic. front is gigantic. It is a telescope. It's basically a telescope. Uh 200 millimeter is a very very narrow field of view. It can get a really long shot and it can get some pretty cool perspectives. Uh so it's a very rare use case that you could even use a 600 millimeter lens, but I am very excited to be able to use it. I am very very excited. Yeah. Usually they use this on like nature documentaries or for nature photography when you got to shoot a uh an image of a of a farway subject like a bird or animals out there. You would use usually use something like this. Um and uh it's very very cool. It's very cool but extremely heavy. Like you cannot use this without support. In fact, if you're mounting your camera on a tripod, you wouldn't mount the camera. You would mount this lens on the tripod and your camera would dangle off like a like a vestigial leech at the back of this lens. That's how heavy and big this thing is. Anyway, very excited about this. So, this is what I mean by I want to take all the lessons that I learned from this past project. Like to put it in perspective, when we filmed this, when I was just writing it or at the very beginning of this production, I didn't care about lenses at all. I didn't build a render farm. I hadn't learned anything about VFX at that point. I thought I did, but I did not. I I man, I have I've got so many new skills. I can't wait to play another project and then I can make ANOTHER NUMBER ONE MOVIE IN AMERICA. MAN, I'm I'm going to milk that as long as I can till midnight rolls around and then I probably won't be able to say it tomorrow. I'm g rub it in Sam Ramy's face. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
