If you had to describe this book in one word, what would that be? You know what? Sometime don't you wonder what the people, you know, uh story was like when they were growing up, when they were little, you know what I mean? for example like a story of Buddha, story of Jesus Christ, story of um uh the Socrates you know that the people well known I am sure I am sure this book will solve that problem if you want to know about history of Mark it's in there it's in there you know I and then the story I did not add any of them is a true story from my memory. Okay, from my experience. So if you are curious what Mark was like when he was when he was born, when he was one year, when he was five, when he was seven, when he was teenager, when did he get his first kiss? Curious why is that in here? Because they want to know. Maybe you have not you have you don't remember because you forgot about that but I do remember I do remember time it's innocent you know is innocent enough anyway story if I had to describe this book in one word it would be worth cuz it's worth the purchase price it is worth my mom spent four years writing this book actually only a year writing it and then 3 years of waiting for me to get done with my stupid movie to be able to help sell this book. And you need to buy it cuz it's an incredibly personal story and also a piece of Korean history. And also I'm in it apparently. Now cut to my mother. Mhm. See, guess who designed this cover? I designed this cover. Wow. You like Can't believe you lie like that. I did. No. AI. No AI. Let me do the work. So I did this design. You know how long it take took this design? Just one day. One day. But it's it's been in my head probably all my life. I hope you like this new design. My family in Korea love it. So we're going to we're going to go we're going to have this design. Okay. But tell me about this book that you've made right here. This is um story my family's history [music] actually starting from my dad when he was 16 years old living in North Korea with his family. And unfortunately when the Korean war broke out in [music] 1950 during the Korean war my dad and his older brother had to [music] escaped the communism from North North Korea. So you can buy this book right now. Well when I had my you know manuscript before it was like this I thought m I think I can sign all the books. That was my truly I wanted to sign every every books because I really appreciate for you to you know buy this to read. But I got to think and the way people responded to this book a month ago uh when I you know notified my fans and you [clears throat] know how many people actually saw this the video over 5 millions. I thought to myself, can I sign as much as even half a million books? Oo. Oh, you don't want to wait another several months. So, I decide 4,000. I have a good reason for that. Today is December 7th and I look back the day I arrived [music] in USA. In 1985, the December. Guess what? is the seventh. Exactly today, 40 years ago, I moved from no uh not North Korea, South Korea to USA. So, seems like for to celebrate 40 years of me, my life in USA, why not pick up that number four? I would like to honestly sign as much as 40,000 or even 400,000. That's my hoping. But I cannot promise. So 4,000 I will sign. I wrote this book because I wish to leave my legacy by sharing my family's history with you because I hope this book can bring much inspiration [music] to your life and also joy. Beautifully said by sincerely. sincerely. And this come closer. I want to share this one. This is a map of Korea. And these pictures right here, can you see? That was taken in 1955. That picture over there, that look like Mock, but that's not Mark. That's my dad, Mr. Chi. And this is a picture of Mark 2022. You see that? They look like almost like brothers. And another thing is that this picture was handd delivered by my niece Yojin 3 months ago when she was attending Mark's wedding. So this picture was newly discovered picture by my older sister from Korea. I did not have that in my file. I had all the picture that I put in inside the book which you're going to see along with the story. You know what I mean? Along with the illustration next to the actual photos. So this is a very um valuable asset to this book to make a cover. Look in the back. Look in the back and read. Can you read the sentence? This was when I hand my manuscript to [clears throat] the publisher. The publisher who read my manuscript wrote this and gave it to me. This is how she felt of reading my story. This is how this is why I'm here. This is why I lived and watched everything happened around [laughter] me. And thank God that with the help of my friends who wrote this, you know, Adam edited with me over the years, last five years. And thank God that Mark is uh successful enough to, you know, set up this beautiful place. And um let me share this story with you. I feel like I I waited this time for this book to come out and share with you. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be good. Now, mother, [laughter] you had to describe this book in one word. What would that one word? Okay. One word one would be legacy. Legacy. This is my legacy that I can leave behind to you. To them or me? To you too. link in the description. Oh, you got to put a link in your Instagram description. Instagram? Yeah. Okay, I can do that. Okay, good. I can do that. Anyway, you know, I finally had an Instagram post the number of likes in yours that had over 2 million for some strange reason. Which one was that? It became a post that was more likes than any other. Which one was it? What was when I was coming home? It was like a Oh, yo. When he was visiting Cincinnati, my sister ho greeting Mark. That one I remember that was a year ago. Yeah. But I finally passed it. Which one was it? My wedding photo. Oh, of course. Don't worry about it. As soon as we get the order, I sign up to 4,000 sending my special love and then he'll take care of the rest. That's it. That's it. Okay. Now, try to do like a in 30 seconds pitch of the book.
