NO RAGE HERE | Baby Steps - Part 1
Chapters8
Markiplier introduces the scene and characters, setting up the gritty, humorous tone and the premise of guiding a character named Nate/Jim through the cave.
Markiplier wrestles with Getting Over It’s brutal footing in a playful, chaotic first look at Baby Steps, delivering laughs and messy progress.
Summary
Markiplier dives into the Getting Over It vibe with Baby Steps - Part 1, joking about the game’s infamous physics while guiding Nate through a makeshift camp and a perilous climb. He repeatedly emphasizes that this is the basic walk phase, even as he battles balance, slips, and slippery mud. Bennett Foddy’s project appears in the background, but Mark keeps the humor front and center, riffing on captions, shoe woes, and the carnival detour that introduces a cup-collecting quest. The stream-of-consciousness commentary moves from goofy banter to focused attempts at climbing, with occasional self-deprecating lines about being “the best” at the wrong moments. Along the way, Mark experiments with balance, crouching for stability, and reading in-game clues like the “cup” and the fire tower, while reflecting on literacy, attention, and the bizarre world-building that comes with this game. The episode closes with a triumphant, if chaotic, reach toward the fire watch tower and a sign-off that nods to community events and self-promo traps alike. It’s a lighthearted, messy primer that sets up the “no rage here” premise by leaning into goofy storytelling over perfect execution. Markiplier’s tone keeps it accessible: funny, self-aware, and generously human, even as the platform demands patience from both player and viewer.
Key Takeaways
- Markiplier treats the early game section as a tutorial, repeatedly stating that the basics are enough to start while joking about his progress.
- The cup and carnival sequence introduces a side quest mechanic, forcing a balance-focused climb to retrieve a cup and bring it to a distant target.
- When attempting risky moves, Mark uses crouching to stabilize, noting that lowering center of gravity can help on slippery sections.
- He critiques and plays with in-game geometry (mud, grass, rocks) to test grip, often narrating his decision process aloud for audience engagement.
- The climb culminates in a long, tense ascent toward the fire tower, with multiple slips that highlight the game’s punishing physics.
- Mark’s closing remarks pivot to community plugs (blood drive, Iron Lung) and a casual, upbeat send-off that reinforces his signature style.

Hello everybody. My name is Markiplier. I wasn't recording during the opening of this, but this guy is some kind of a I was about to say loser. I was about to say dweeb. I was about to say no life, but I'm not going to say any of those things now. And I didn't say that. Therefore, I don't need to apologize for anything. Anyway, this guy can't walk or something. Damn. Damn. Uh, this is made by Bennett FOD and a few other people. If you don't know about getting OVER IT. NO. STOP. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
NO. NO. [screaming] OH NO. OH NO. OH NO. I'M DONE. OH GOD. [ __ ] NO. MY GOD. AND YOU HAVEN'T SEEN AN important chapter in my channel's history. All right. So yeah, this is um so I don't want to overextend myself, but basically you have to make this guy walk and that's it. And I'm not 100% okay. Deep breath. You're [groaning] okay. You're okay. You're okay. You're with Jim. I'm Jim. No, I'm Jim. Yeah. No, you're Jim. Just relax. Nothing to be ashamed of. Everybody falls. Let's get you on your feet. I'm good. I'm good. I'm good.
What's your name, son? I'm Nate. Nate. Good to meet you. Uh yeah, it's what's this program called program? Like what's the name of the camp or whatever? Oh, it's not a camp. Uh do my parents uh Oh, no, no, no, no. It's just a cave. But it's mysterious. Of course, you're full of questions. I got it. But before we get to that, there's just a few things I've got to explain. Hold on. No. Uh that's okay. I is are what? If I can I go go like if I leave, are you going to stop me?
No. Oh, of course not. Okay, then I'm just going to head out. It's nice to meet you. Okay, see you. All right. So, what I was going to do is I was going to put on the captions, but I just had an idea that am I contributing to the ever growing plague of illiteracy that is striking or not illiteracy because you're reading the captions. No, maybe I'm helping literacy. Nor am I hurting people's media comprehension by being am I hurting people's listening abilities by putting on captions on all these games? And I'm Am I making you dumber by having these captions?
cuz I don't I don't do anything with captions really. Not really. I only do it for you. I don't need the captions. But probably some of you were probably listening to that without captions. You be like, I can't understand the word they're saying. Is that my fault? It's not my fault. Oh well, too late now. All right, damage is done. All right, let's speaking of damage done. Okay, so you can kind of get in a decent Okay, you can kind of get in a decent rhythm. I'm sure I'll get used to it over time. But yeah, this is the basics of uh this game.
You walk. Hold on. Now, nope, that ain't working. Okay. All right. Okay. All right. Okay. There. Uh, so it may not seem like much now, but I I know for a fact that um there's going to be some ravines. Jesus, man. Come on. There's going to be some ravines. There going to be things to fall down in, you know. What? Okay. Can you Okay. What is that sound? Oh, I was trying to gauge it so that I could take a shorter jump so I could Whatever. Trying to lift so I could actually lift. Okay, we're not do Okay.
Why do I have to be wearing this onesie? [ __ ] Okay. Well, I didn't This is basically the tutorial. I know that. This is basically how I learned to actually walk. And if I don't leave this area with a full confidence in my ability to walk, let alone do anything else, then I don't think I'm going to have much success when it actually gets the stakes to rise. And yeah, if you were wondering, yeah, this is the whole game. Just like with the cauldron. Yeah, that was So camera side. That's kind of nice, I guess. Okay, how do I do this?
All right. Well, that wasn't so bad. Okay. Hey, maybe I can do this. Hey, maybe I'm going to be all right. Okay, Jim. Yeah. No, I remember from the cave. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I uh feel like we got off on the wrong foot. No, I just cut straight to the good stuff. Come with me. Won't take a minute. Just It's very close. Actually, I do. I have to I got to It's not a scam. I'm not going to charge you any money. No, I I I'm not going to hurt you. I'm just trying to get you some shoes.
Uh no, I Yeah, cuz of the bare feet. I don't Yeah, that's how I That's how I like it. I just do just do feet. Yeah, but is there maybe just toilet? Toilet? Yeah, I just Sorry. I just needed to pee. How badly? Just normal. Bad. This is pretty far. I mean, I'm worried about your kidneys. I got strong kidneys. Yeah, just go behind this bush. I'll wait. I I went away. Pey. Yeah. Yeah. No, you don't want me watching. No, I You can watch. I guess I'll just catch up to you. Okay. Don't hold it in, mate.
It's not healthy. Yeah.Ou. Like we say goodbye around here. Yeah. Like goodbye. [laughter] All right. I usually don't like a Is that a turd? Arch. Is that an arch of turd? It really looks like an arch of turd. I've I've forgotten how to walk completely. No, I'm doing okay. All right, never mind. This guy's pretty flexible. Good thing. [ __ ] Okay, I've forgotten how to walk. Why? I don't know. Oh yeah, I'm killing it now. Killing it. Killing it. Killing it. Killing it. Killing it. How am I going to stop myself if I start sliding? Is there Is there even any stopping myself if I start sliding?
I'm going uphill, so I guess I'm going to find out. Okay, the trick is not to go full. Oh, okay. Interesting. Did the other buttons do anything? Does not seem like it. Seems like it's just lift and lurch. Burn. Burn. All right, that's fine. I really wish he would have gotten me some shoes. Okay, so it seems like we're in Skyrim, which is good except for the fact that is that a Pringles can an energy drink? Some I hey, what is happening? Why is that happening? Not so bad once you get the hang of it.
Okay. It's bad when I do that. [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] Yeah, that's fine. So, this is probably the first test coming up. I see that there's a narrow path, but if I do everything that I've done already, there is no risk of me ever falling here because it's just the same thing. I've got a center of balance and I can tell what that is kind of. At least this one doesn't send me precipitously precipitous precipitously. Hey, what is that over there? Is that a bonus? Can I get a power up or something if I go over there?
All right, we're fine. Let's just do this. One foot in front of the other. Easy peasy. Can I climb up this? Do you think I could? like a goat. I bet there's shortcuts in this game. I bet there's tons of shortcuts. Why is there an ominous green glow on the horizon? Is that like the Aurora Burrow or is the sun just green? I guess weirder things have happened. I don't know what. I can't think of money right now, but I'm almost positive they have. Well, this is easy. This is easy. This is goddamn easy. Okay.
Well, maybe not. Okay. How do I There we go. That's what I'm talking about. All right. Lost my cup. Who lost whose cup? Lost my cup at the carnival. Bring to fire tower. What do you mean? Is that the Is that the fire tower over there? Come for the carnival. The fire tower. Why would I do that? I got to pee. All right, fine. It's the first thing I've seen. I don't need to go down in the proper way. Nice. Damn, I'm really good at this game. Might actually be the best. WHOA, [screaming] NICE. AH, [ __ ] All right.
Are you the carnival? Heard a lot about this carnival. Hey, is that a shoe? That seems a little big. Okay, gross. Okay, slippy. I don't like how slippy that was. Why was that so slippy? Was I close to a demise? Free shoes. Uh, aoy aoy there. Like we're at sea. Oh yeah. Uh but uh yeah, I was just uh looking. I was hoping that you might be a shoes uh kind of a shoe salesman. I'm more of a boatsmith myself. Oh, yeah. All right, chief. You want uh got any interest in some shoes? Yeah, I love those.
You want one? Yeah. Give me uh No, sorry. You got um no shoes. Yeah, right now I'm on the no shoes. Let's get this underway. What do you What do you stick out your foot? Yeah. Okay. Like this? Yeah. Let's uh let's size you up. Yeah. It's like I'm like a 12 or 20 13. Size you up. I think probably a kid seven with socks. You got any socks? Uh I was hoping you not a sock store, mate. I think Well, 12. I'm at least a 12. Oh, you're 12. Um No, I'm not 12 years old.
I have 12 shoes. No, I Sorry. I don't have 12 shoes. I'm 12. Where you got them stowed? I wonder. No, zero shoes. But 12 size is the size of my feet. That I can see your feet because you're not wearing any shoes. No, I I I just feel like Show me yours. We could Yeah, we've had some real perverts come through here. Well, no, I was just to compare it to mine. So, uh what about um Well, so I've seen these shoes you have. They seem a little They seem a little big. Yes. Too big for you.
No, they're I mean they're too big. They're too big for you. Finally, he admits it. All right. Well, I'm so glad you took the time. Oh, I guess I'll catch you I'll catch you later. Maybe I'll see you at the All right, Glatt, man. If I wanted shoes, maybe I should have just talked to that other guy. Also, yeah, that seems like the most slippery ill possibly could have gone on. That was almost certainly doom and death, and I somehow avoided that cuz I'm so goddamn good at this game. Also, I don't know what they were talking about with that carnival and lost a goddamn cup.
I don't need to worry about that. Not my problem. I just have to pee up. All right. Nope. Okay. All right. Wow, that was some reach, buddy. That was some crazy reach. Let me actually I think actually this might have been better. Hey, wait. There's another sign. Oh, there's a carnival down there. Oh, there's a whole damn carnival. Oh, man. Yeah, why not? You know what? I got this. It's no trouble at all. Oh crap. Yep. Ow. [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] You're fine. Lost my cup at the carnival. Bring it through. Okay. I see something at the carnival.
All right. Some kind of music. Oh, there is a whole carnival down there. Maybe if I taken the mudslide, it would have actually been faster. Okay, I don't think I deserve that there. Okay, maybe I deserve that. Okay, 23 25 54 36. What does that mean? Steps. Maybe that means steps. Feel like this might be a trap. Okay, this seems like a fool's errand. Okay. Oh boy. This might actually be a problem. Nope. No, it's not. Oh god. Oh god. Do I have to do I do I mean it wouldn't be the worst thing if I fall in that hole.
It's really not that bad, I guess. But let me back up a bit so I can go forward a bit and then climb up here. So what it wants me to do is it wants me to thread this gap to get up there. I don't know if it wants me to do that, but that's what I want to do with this. Oh my god. Okay. I don't have a firm grip on the right or on the left, so I got to make it with the right. Oh yeah. Oh, that's what I'm talking about. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, BABY.
That's what I'm talking about, baby. That's what I'm talking about. No, please. Oh, please. Okay. Cup. Cup, you say. Cup. Ow. Cup. Cup. I trust this. Definitely going to be a cup here. How do I get this cup? What you say about a cup? Okay. A little. Okay, let me go a little this way. So, I go a little up and then reach. A I don't even know if that's going to help me if I get there because I'm not going to be able to get up, am I? Aha. Cup. Is there a cup here?
I don't see a cup. What do you mean by cup? No cup here. What if I go up on the top? How in the hell do I get up there? If going on top of it didn't seem like there was a hole or anything. So, unless my sheer weight can crash me down upon it, then I don't know how that's going to work for me. Okay, that was pathetic. Wait, what? What? Okay. Can I jump? I can crouch. It's kind of fun. I guess by lowering my center of gravity, I do become a little bit more stable.
Wow. I don't know how I did that. Come on. You're right there. Come on. Come on. Oh my god. There's no way. There is something up top. Oh my god. It's up top. Oh my god. It is up top. No. God. Okay. What I need to do, get that there. Get this up here. Get up there. Lift. I see the cup. I don't know how I did that. What the [ __ ] What the Hey, no. All right. I see the cup. [clears throat] Maybe there's another way up higher cuz it's got to be this, right? It's got to be this.
There's There's no other way really to go up. So, it's got to be this. Unless there's another way around to the left here. which doesn't look like there is. So, it's got to be over to the right. There is a tiny little tiny ledge there. And I can kind of thread the Oh, nope. You can recover. You can recover. That's what it's all about. Just recover intelligently and I know that everything will be all right. I think I have to go over here. Yes. Oh my god. Yes. Oh my god. Yes. Okay. Now, if it's a crow, you will know.
If you have to ask, it's a raven. If you have to ask, it's a crow. If it's a raven, you will know. And I know you are. I don't know where you are, actually. Oh, well. Hey. Well, that's good. I got it. I see a fire tower up there. I'm assuming that's what I need to do. Thought there might be a little more, you know, when I actually got that. But I guess I'm going up to the fire tower now. Firewar. Guess I'm going up to the fire terror now. to the fire. Oh god, please don't.
Please don't. Please don't. No. Okay, that's bad. You drop the cup if you fall. That's not good. Does it also throw off my balance a little bit? It does. I bet it does. It would do that. All right, back up we go. I guess that took nothing at all. I thought I'd have to explore the whole carnival. Little I know there'd be a cup right there. For those who are, I don't know, making dinner or something, not paying attention to the video that's in front of them. I'm going back up a hill so they can take a cup to a fire tower.
That's my Netflix obligated dialogue to tell you the context clues of what's happening. I have a cup in my hand that was requested of me by a sign I read a little bit ago. No, don't do this to me. I fell and dropped the cup and it almost started sliding down the hill, which would have been terrible for my mission of going up the hill. I hope this provides all of you on secondary screens for exactly what you need to know about what I'm doing. Was there always a big flame over there? Probably. Where did that come from?
I don't know. Man, I actually have traveled quite a bit. I wouldn't have thought, but it is true. So, there are those cans. And I'm guessing if I try to climb up that rock face, it's going to be a lot muddier. Unless it's only muddy in those spots over there, which in which case it might actually be quicker to try to do this. I run the [snorts] risk of losing this cup and sliding all the way back down. But, you know, that's kind of the whole game. So, at one point, I'm going to have to face it, so might as well be.
Now, I'm gaining a lot of confidence in this. I feel really good. Okay, hold on. Hold on. Let's just not panic here. Oh, yeah. That's what I'm talking about. If I actually have to stop and think about what I'm doing with placing my feet, I I really start to mess up. I just have to Oh, damn it. I almost had that. Cuz as soon as I start thinking about it, I I start actually contemplating. Okay. Oh, I got to put this foot down for this physics here to work in this instead of just like you.
I'm on a hijack my body's innate sense of balance to try to get better at this game. Oh, yeah. Oh, come on. No. Oh, damn it. Why would that happen? Can I throw myself off of this? Yep. Okay. All right. We've reached it again. It didn't take me that long to get, so I imagine it won't take me that long to get back. Okay. Hold. Well, all right. Never mind. I'm doing much worse than I thought. I just need to not overextend myself. Okay. Or wait, what the hell's Be a lot more slidy than I used to be.
Unless like the mud accumulates on my feet or something, which I would believe would be a thing. I try going to the left. That's probably actually a good bit better. Seems to be God. Oh, no. That's actually quite slippy. All right. There seems to be a little bit of gray over here on the left. Right by the ledge of death. That's good. Okay. Good. All right. Much more grip right here. Wait a minute. This seems marginally impassible. Uh, I shouldn't have gone this way. Nah. Doubt is for fools and idiots who don't have the foresight to be stupid in the future.
Instead, they'd be stupid in the present. Or even worse, they'd be dumb in the past. And that's the worst kind of dumb of all. Meanwhile, I I choose to be smart in I didn't leave myself a place to be dumb. I guess I'm not going to be dumb. Never. No. There's no way. Oh, there's no way. This is a terrible idea. Oh, this is actually the worst idea. No, please. No. No. No. No. No. Okay. Well, I've learned my lesson. I'm not doing that [ __ ] I ain't going to do that. No way, no how. But if I just really get my balance on me.
Okay, there's this nice rock here that can definitely hold my ball. That's what I need. I just take tey itty bitty baby steps. Baby steps. That's the thing. Oh god. Okay, I'm not going to do this because this is clearly impossible unless Huh? If you crouch down, you do get more stable. So, if you're falling, sometimes crouching might be a good option. [singing] That was just about the most baby you've ever been. But all right. This is a terribly stupid idea and I shouldn't do it. And yet, I'm strangely compelled. Okay. Okay. We're fine. I'm not doing this anymore.
All right. You kind of tricked me with that one, saying that I would pick it up when I real Why? It's trying to trick me now. All right. Don't worry about it. We're going to find a different path. We've clearly gone the wrong way. So, we're going to find a different way. That's going to be better. A thousand times better, actually. We don't need that stupid Whoa. Have I been just been getting lucky this whole time and somehow everyone's like, "Wow, is he making such progress?" And I'm just mean, well, I'm being just dumb. I ch I think I've discovered my dumb.
I'm dumb in the present. I'm dumb in the now. And that may renders me immune to the dumb in the past, but it makes me incredibly susceptible to the dumb in the future. Oh, that is not happening. I have actually boned myself, have I not? I've actually boned myself cuz this is a sheer rock face and I think it's probably slippery. Yeah, it's wet. This is incredible balance for what I'm doing. Oh, please go. Good thing you threw it that way. All right, I think I've hosed myself. And I think the only way that I'm going to get through this Oh, path.
There's no way. There's no way. Is that actually What DID YOU DO? WHY DID YOU WHY? WHY? NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO, NO, NO. OH, GOOD. It stopped right there. I'm going to reach for it and it's going to it's going to chuck me down. Okay. Can we please just be very gentle and No, no, no, no, no, no. What do you do? There it goes. What? Why would that happen? Why would you? It's still up there, man. You have to go back up so you can you have to go back up so you can just get it down.
You have to go back up to get down. That's a new level of [ __ ] up I think in this game that I I'm going to really not like is I have to go back up to get go back down. I have to go back up to get something and then go back down with it. That's really unfortunate for me. I don't know how I'm going to get this. I really don't. I don't think it's possible actually. I actually don't think it's How the [ __ ] can I get this? No. Okay, we're okay. Oh crap. Oh god.
Get it. Get it. Oh my god. You grab it. Okay. Grab it. Crouch. Okay. It's sliding down with you. That's all that matters. And you're going to grab it. And you grab it. And you grab You grab All right. Just go down with it, you dumb. Oh, grab the damn thing. Okay. Sure. You know, I don't care anymore. I'm going the long way around. This is stupid anyway, and I hate it from the get- go. See, this is all the dumb in the future stuff that I was trying to avoid. But unfortunately, the future keeps coming at me at the same speed no matter what I do.
All the dumb that I'm saving in the now is just going to make me get dumb debt in the future. I mean, crippling dumb debt. I've got dumb depression. Dumbression and dumb. Whatever. Dumb. Was that a mosquito or something? What is What is even the sound? Shouldn't this game have like some music or something? That was a funny skip to my Lou. At least I'm really good at the normal Really good at suspiciously good at it. Okay. I hope I'm going the right way. More crap. [snorts] I think it was this way. Please tell me not that's not a gust of wind that can blow me off of this mountain.
That would be really unfortunate. I actually am surprised at how quickly I am picking up the uh whole walking thing, which I guess shouldn't surprise me. That's a really pathetic thing to say out loud, but to be honest, I am surprised given what this game could be. Not sure if this guy's going to want this cup back after I've been holding it and dunking it in the mud. Don't know how I did that. Oh no, don't worry about it, man. I got you. I got you, buddy. Ain't nobody Ow. It's booty. Whoa, man. Whoa. Easy there, big guy.
Ah, [sighs] where's that fire tower? Okay, it's right there. Still far away. Okay, but I'm not going to take any shortcuts. Oh god, I feel like taking a shortcut. Oh no. Cuz I see a bridge over to my left and I don't want to deal with that. But I got a funny feeling this is going to be even worse. It doesn't look Oh, it's got the slidy. Let me just see what's going on over here. Might save me a lot of time if I just take a peek and I find something fun. There's a big ticket.
Ah, don't flail, man. Don't flail. You don't need to flail. Can't even see what I'm doing. Ah, there's no way up this way. This was stupid. All the dumb that I'm saving in the now is just going to make me get dumb debt in the future. What a waste of time. Any time I save gone now. Okay. Some kind of backway over there. Is that good? Is that something I need to know about? [crying] I'm doing anything except cross this bridge and it's going to cost me everything. Oh, that's a goddamn jump. Wait, that's not just a bridge.
That's a jump. What's going on there? Crap. Okay, you're good. You're good. You're good. You're good, man. Okay, I've done this before. I'm not too stressed about it. I'm just going to approach it like I do everything with unbelievable unearned confidence. Okay, need to be able to see. Get this left foot planted properly. Man, I cannot see. Okay, here we go. Easy. Just like that. It's no different than walking. Just happens to be over a precipitous gap that would lead to my untimely doom. That's all. That literally the only difference. Just because there is a precipitous to my left doesn't mean that it's any harder to walk in a straight line than it has been this entire time.
Even if the slightest single tumble would lead me to losing all my progress being sent down to the bottom of the mountain, probably all the way back down the carnival given the momentum that I would pick up from gravity, sliding me down the hill, and then the cup would be thrown who knows where because I would obviously plan panic and flail on the way down, chucking it into the stratosphere and whatnot. Is that a bridge I got to go over? God damn it. I hope it's not. Uh, it probably is. [snorts] [sighs] All right, here we go.
Oh boy, this is not going to be fun. Wish I could see. Just hit my target. It's right there. There we go. Then just slowly and surely place it down. Easy. Slowly but surely place it down. Little more here. Nope. There we go. Good thing I can see my shadow. There we go. Good. Oh god. Why am I do Why am I falling backwards? Okay, here we go. Oh god. Okay, here we go. I just got to watch my balance sometimes. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. That's not where I want to be.
[laughter] Oh my god. Okay, we made it, I think. Okay, that'll definitely be the last thing I got to endure on this prem. Okay, well this isn't too bad. This cannot be that bad. It it by definition can't be that bad. It's a bridge that is far more intact than anything we've encountered before. Therefore, it should be a simple matter. A simple matter. I can't see. I can't see. A simple matter. Very simple matter. Oh my god. Very simple matter. The simplest matter Step right on those nails. That's what it's all about. Nice. Try that again.
Yep. Oh my god. Do not lose your balance here. Whoa. You You were a little slippy on that last thing there. You were just a little slippy. Oh, anybody else's heart rate feel a little elevated? Is that just me? Okay, this is fine. Again, it's the same as I've seen thus far. No different. You're fine. You're fine. Don't worry about it. Don't fine. Don't Don't fine. Don't f Wait, what is this? What is going on here? Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. [sighs] Okay. All right. There's got to be a way up then. It looks like there is cuz it's all crisscrossy.
And that's good. Do not fall backwards. That's the enemy of progress. You just need to go there to there and then left step there. Careful now. Careful. Now we just need to be a little more cautious. Let that slide down. Let that slide down. Put my foot up here so I can get it up and that ain't going to happen. Okay. How about I put it up here? Okay. I thought for sure that I might be able to get up to the right there. Looks like that won't happen. Oh my god. Oh my god. Holy [ __ ] Oh my god.
Okay, I just got to make sure I got a firm foot there. Put that Ah. Ah my god. Oh my god. [gasps] Oh no. No. No. Sit. Sit. Sit. Yes. Just sit down. Just sit. You're fine. This is where I lose everything. Oh my god. How do I do this? Is this even what I'm supposed to do? Because I don't even see a way up after this. Okay, I'm going to I'm going to operate on the assumption that I haven't seen what I the actual path that I need to take. Oh my god. And I'm going to go a little bit around and I'm going to investigate.
That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to investigate. I plowed forward without even looking at the entire surrounding and therefore I haven't seen the entire picture. That doesn't look any better. It doesn't look much better. Not much better there. I swear this looks like I should be able to try to go up here. It's like just barely not there. Let me actually go across this path. Maybe I Maybe I assumed too early that I needed to turn around and go back cuz I haven't actually seen everything yet. [ __ ] So, there might be What? Oh my god.
Please don't do that. What birds? What birds are that? What birds are that? Okay, let's take a look over here. Let's take a look. What are we dealing with? Cuz it could be that I just go on the mud and then I just deal with the sliding and I move really quickly. Although, I've never actually dealt with mud before because it does seem like there's path over there. Maybe [clears throat] the mud's nice. Let me put a foot down in the mud and see what it does for me. It's not so bad. It's not so bad.
It's a little slippy, but it kind of levels out right here. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay, it's pretty level. Pretty level. Okay, pretty level. Nice and level. Okay, it wasn't bad at all. I assumed it was going to be instant death. It was not that. Okay, we're making progress. Good. What is that? [snorts] Like a mountain land? What? What the [ __ ] What the hell is that? What the hell is a donkey? Sorry. Is this supposed to mean something? Uh, okay. That's a little weird. If I go behind you, am I going to kick in the head so hard?
All right. Well, you got poop on the ground. So, I guess maybe that was Oh, no. That's me. I thought that was poop. Okay. Goodbye. I don't know what the hell that was about, but All right. Okay. Well, this is worse. God damn it. I'm How far out do I have to go? Oh man, if I fall down, I'm I'm quitting. I don't know. I don't [laughter] feel the need to do this. I don't think I need this. I I'm I'm pretty sure I'd be good. Oh my god. There had to have been a way to go up cuz if I fall like that, then I'm doomed if I go on the actual hard part.
Has to be a way up. Come on. This is quite impressive probably. Oh, there I go. Oh, okay. [laughter] Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Oh my god. Actually, [music] hold on. Might be on to something. NO. NO. NO. OKAY. OKAY, IT'S JUST down to donkey cave. Okay, it's just down to donkey cave. That was my over getting ambitious. I feel like I'm on to something though. This cup better be worth it. God damn it. [music] Largo. What the [ __ ] was that? Okay, we're okay. We're okay. Okay, just going to take a little detour to the right here.
Get a place with a better grip right there. [music] Okay, the rules are pretty fair. The lighter the ground is, the better grip there is. Oh my god. So, I got But I got to keep it moving. NO. NO. GOD [ __ ] SO, I can't freeze up like that. I got I got to keep moving or else I'm going to lose all the momentum that's actually keeping me glued to the ground. So, I got to keep my lean forward. As soon as my lean starts going backwards, I'm basically doomed because I don't have a way to really control that other than just physics and momentum.
I just got to control that. That's all I got to do. Okay. Well, that's ridiculous. No. Why? Why? [sighs] I'm getting nervous. Mighty God. Every time that Why DO YOU DO THAT? Why do you throw it backwards? Why would you do that? Don't do that. Don't throw it backwards and everything's going to be fine. Cold. Cold. Good. Oh. Oh. Oh. Come on. No. Crouch. Oh god. It's just so slippy right there. Why? So crap. There. There. It's the same spot every time. Maybe the developer put that in there so that people wouldn't do it this way.
Even though it [snorts] seems like a perfectly viewable way. Not perfectly viewable, you know, viewable enough. Cuz if I can get up that slope right there. I feel like this other one up here isn't that much worse. Okay. Well, that was dumb. Oh, no. It's fine. All right. We're good. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. Okay. Good progress. Good progress. Okay. Okay. There we go. There we go. There we go. Go around to the left. There's an easier path to the left. Okay. Almost got to the grass. Almost to the grass.
Oh my god. Oh my Take that. You normal path going all the way around. You son of a [ __ ] Think you can tell me where I can go? Not today. Oh my god. I've done it. I've done it. I'm in the clear. The grass is very grippy on my toes. I can basically squeeze the roots. This is incredible. I'm incredible. Everything I've ever done has led me to this [music] moment. Iron long stupid. That was just a movie. This is an This Why? Why? Why is that happening? WHY IS CRASH DOWN? NO, [screaming] NO, NO, NO.
OKAY. Why was that? Why did Why would Why would that have happened? Why would that have happened? It was grass. I can grip it with my toes. I can grip it with my toes. Why Why would that happen? I think they put a secret patch of mud there just to throw me off. Whoa. Whoa. Again. Hey, that fire tower isn't even stand. Never mind. It is now. Oh, easy there, buddy. Easy, easy, easy. Stop. Okay. Just because you're on grass apparently doesn't mean anything. Not really. Going to try to climb this little bit of rock here.
Make our way up to the tippy top. It's a really easy piece of rock. This is not that difficult. We don't need to mess up right here right now when we basically got this in the bag. It's not that bad. I just don't what the full butt sprawl. Why? Why did I get a full butt flying sprawl? That made no sense. Okay. That's crazy. That's [ __ ] crazy. Oh [ __ ] Why in the Okay. And we're up. Good. Great. Now we're fear. We're fear. We're fear in the clear. We're fear in the clear. We're fully fear in this clear.
We've never been more clear in our life. And I'm still somehow extremely far away from the watchtowwer. Mother [ __ ] All right, let's try going up this way. I love shortcuts. Definitely not slower than the actual long way around. I'm walking like a real motion capture artist right here. Walking with confidence, with some strut in my step, you know, little sexiness. Okay, just about there. Okay, just about there. Almost there. God, this guy better be here. Whoever left those signs, there better be a point to this. Uh, all right. I see the fire watch tower. Uh, this better be the goddamn end of the game.
You know what I mean? Definitely don't have another whole mountain ass to climb. Uh-huh. I have the cup. This better be the right cup. If you tell me this is the wrong cup or something, I'm going to be really mad. And I'm not going to go get any other ones. Please return to the basket if found. Okay, I did it. Oh, that's given me a real sense of trophy. Returned the favorite cup to the world's best dad. Wow. Is it really you? World's best dad. Okay. Why is this difficult to climb this? I I feel like this should these are stairs, so I feel like they should be cuz I'm taking them two at a time probably.
I feel as like this shouldn't be this hard to climb. Although stairs, you know, they do cause a lot of lethal falls in real life. Where's the quad? What was that? Can I look through this? Oh, that's terrifying. Well, I'm glad I came up here. Time to throw myself off of this thing. You know what? Maybe I won't. Maybe I actually won't do that.
