An intimate week-in-the-life peek at Pokimane (Iman) balancing business, workouts, and her evolving mindset in LA.
Summary
Pokimane, aka Iman, invites viewers into a week of her life in Beverly Hills, juggling management meetings, content planning, and personal growth moments. We see her emphasize real-life routines like therapy, Arabic lessons, and ongoing collaboration with editors and assistants. The week features a first-ever commercial shoot where she selects outfits, negotiates on-camera details, and keeps her eye on camera-readability and branding. Fitness appears as a steady thread, with cardio and leg work at the gym alongside chats with her gym partner Chris. A critical late-week milestone is the ending of Lily Pichu’s podcast, which Pokimane frames with gifts and reflections on creative partnerships. Personal moments weave in anxious productivity, social rituals with friends like Josh, and a powerful aside about supporting a friend in a difficult immigration situation. The week closes with a reset Sunday, 10k steps and a magnesium bath, underscoring a balance between hustle and self-care. Throughout, Pokimane’s voice stays practical and candid, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how a top creator manages time, relationships, and ambition.

This is Pokey. Well, actually, my real name is Iman. Pokey made a career playing video game, and now she makes content on well, almost anything. She was born in Morocco, immigrated to Canada, then moved to LA, both to pursue content creation, and because she liked a boy who lived there. You're not supposed to tell people that part. Now, she lives in an apartment in Beverly Hills with her two cats. She spent most of her 20s stressed about how to be successful, how to make her parents proud, stressed about being in the public eye, and living up to people's expectations of her.
And now she tells herself, "Maybe I don't need to be so stressed about everything." So, she's focusing on enjoying the moment, traveling the world, and although people say you should find a prince charming, I kind of like treating myself. So, let's take a peek into her life for a week. Hello. It's Monday. Mondays are my meeting days. Usually, I meet with my management and it's a really big group. And then every few weeks while I do all my meetings, I will usually hire some cleaners to help me out around the house. I'll usually meet with anyone new that I'm looking to work with.
Sometimes I meet with some of my assistants, particularly one that helps me with content planning, stream planning, things like that. I'll usually book my therapy on the same day as well as my Arabic lessons that I take on properly. Not sponsored. I do really like their service though. It's also a lot of editing feedback. I mean, kind of throughout the whole week, I'm talking to editors and assistants and whoever I'm working with. That's a lot of my Mondays, though. Happy Monday. The main update I wanted to give you guys was I have not yet reached out to anyone.
So, if there is anything you guys want me to do, try to let me know ASAP. Also, I wanted to ask you guys if you could connect me with the person that you know that does really good decks. Hello. I mean, for starters, hello. I finished everything that I have to do in terms of work this morning. So, I'm coming to the gym for a little bit. Actually, when I woke up, I almost always walk when I wake up. So, I already got like three 4K steps in, but I want to do a little bit more on the treadmill.
And I want to do glutes. On Tuesday, I spent the morning getting ready, setting up, and filming a giveaway where I made gifts for all my assistants. Afterwards, I hung out with Janet and Josh. Josh lives in New York, so we don't get to see him very often. We went to the mall, tried Chamberlain Coffee, did some shopping, met some fans, and tried a really yummy new restaurant. We ended the night with some time spent at my apartment. Hey, vlog. Josh never visits, so I'm so happy he's here. I was like, "You need to vlog a little." It's funny because Janet would not smoke at She's like, "No, I got asthma, BRO.
YOU GUYS ARE GREAT. Please ignore the powder on my face. I'm baking, but I'm headed to my first ever commercial shoot today. I'm so excited. Come along. Now, we are sort of on set. It's at someone's house, so we're actually in like a children's room getting ready. It's really cute, though. We're just hanging out in this room. You're so cute. And I just looked at what I'm supposed to do. I have two words. I can't win streaks. I do be winning. It just shocks me sometimes. Like I can't imagine the budget for something like this.
It's like two words. It better turn out good and y'all better buy Chipotle. Also, this guy came in here and he like took photos of my outfit and some other clothes that I brought and then he has to send it someone else to approve it. All the little details. But uh I'm going to go scout the area. They remade my room. shows. It's like copy my homework but make it a little different except the laptop. I would definitely have a PC but it's so pretty. He came back with more clothes. Yes. Are those for me?
Okay. What shall we do? They want more color because you were sitting in the white chair and the white desk. Can you tell me what would you like to try on? Okay. Yes. The pink is cute. We'll set that aside. Not bad. Okay. Wait, that's the same brand that I'm wearing right now. So, I'm going to put it maybe just as a color. Little cardi. That's kind of cute. I actually wanted to go for a yellow today. Okay. So, so you can try this on. How about I try this and hope that works out. I wish I showed you guys the other shirt that they had me try.
It was so cute. It was like pink and I put my lace top underneath. It was like this pink and white. So pretty. But they chose this instead. This one was not my favorite. It's not bad, but it's just like such a basic shirt. But it's because this will read the best on camera, which I understand. The other colors were either like too bright or not bright enough. So, I will live. I'm going to bring my necklace out, add a little something that feels me to this. And hey, they're paying for me to be here, so I'll wear whatever shirt they like.
I think they're recording the shop before me. What are you doing? I'm going to guess. I can't really see what's going on. Like I think they intentionally left it like this for whoever's going to use it. I think the camera's going to go through here to the perfect burrito shot. That's sick. Time to film. Hello, Iman. Nice to meet you. This is Jake. Hi, Jake. Nice to meet you. Good. How are you? This is basically my room. Copy paste. Yeah, we brought your room here. Thank you. Thank you. I'll give you guys a couple days to put it back.
You're winning. Like you're in a you're in your thing. Yeah. So that's all it is is you're eating a cesadilla while winning. Hell yeah. While playing. Now I might throw you a line when the voiceovers goes win streak. I think you should ignore it and just eat. But you might also acknowledge like win streak. Yeah. You know, you know it's like that. I look a bit cocky. I could do cocky Iman. Nice to meet you. Pretty sure they want you to use some earbuds. What would you Can I do the white ones, please? Yeah. Do you want single air or double air?
I usually like one. Okay, perfect. Stay out of the way. Of course, the camera. This is exactly like my stream. It's kind of Do you want to track out from here or Thank you. Yes. What happened? Oh, good. And I'm really hungry. He's coming through the door in the background. Tommy, I mean, okay, roll camera. We're rolling. And action. Winning streak or should I do like some sort of spring nails with flowers? Or really, you should be thinking about what someone is doing for you. Just feels like rage bait. Have you guys watched it? Take good care.
Okay. Hello. I'm taking you guys with me to the gym today. I wanted to show you guys a general kind of gym routine. What I like to do. Call him little gym fit. My hat is Free People. My top is Whiskey. My pants are Young LA. I'm meeting Chris in a bit. If you guys don't know him already, I call him my neighbor, but obviously he's also my friend. We met through Leslie's board game nights for people in the building. He is very knowledgeable in the gym. So, it's nice to have someone that I can ask.
Let me show you guys just very chill, very casual gym routine of mine. Okay. I always like to start my gym sessions with a little cardio. I will usually do either half a mile walking and or running, whatever, frankly, I have the energy for. For cardio, if I want to walk, I will usually do incline somewhere between 9 to 12. Speed 3ish. If I'm running, I don't run on an incline. Girl, I don't want to die. And I'll usually run at like 4.5 to 5.5 miles per hour. Pretty chill. Like, I don't want to exhaust myself doing cardio if I'm also going to weightlift.
And I do cardio at the end. Well, I guess I can just show you guys that Chris is here. Usually, I will almost always do some light form of legs, a lot of cable kicks. I'll literally just show an example because I am not a personal trainer, so maybe my form's not perfect, but I love the sideways cable kicks and the back ones. I love leg press and I will do hip thrusts if the gym has good hip thrust equipment, which unfortunately this one doesn't. And then my favorite upper body workouts are lat pull downs.
I want to build my side shoulders and so Chris showed me the shoulder raises. Yeah. Yeah. Just like that. Is there anything else? dips. I do not do dips. I do not do Well, I should put you on a dips. I'm not going to lie. I get in the gym, I have fun, and I leave. I work on the muscles I want to work on. That's really it. Is that bad? That's not as long as you're hitting it high intensity. And then I end with cardio just like how I started. I don't like to like put myself in the gym.
I want to have a nice feel-good workout. Hi world. We're at Lily Pichu's now and we're filming the last podcast episode. No, actually, as much as it is sad, you know, it's one of those don't cry cuz it's over. Smile cuz it happened moments. Okay, I got everybody these little gifts. I got little frames photos of us from the podcast. Very, very, very cute. And some gift baskets. just random stuff for everybody. It's kind of a thank you for everyone's efforts. I feel like a photo frame is just the best way to commemorate a project of some sort.
If you didn't watch the final episode, you should, but also just to kind of explain why we're closing this chapter of our lives. Basically, as time went on with the podcast, Lily and I also started different projects that we are working on, and some we cannot specifically really say publicly yet. But working on these projects has been a little bit difficult and it feels like some of the things that we're starting are kind of pulling us in different directions which makes the podcast kind of difficult to do especially on a consistent proper basis and kind of giving it the time and energy that it deserves.
Hi Cam. Sorry. It's okay. Do you want to give a side note of the podcast ending? RIP. Oh yeah. But it was a beautiful journey. And sometimes it's like the journey is more important than the destination. Cuz the destination is death. But boy was it fun along the way. Boy, was it fun along the way. Vlogging. You said she's vlogging the death of the podcast. I lowkey am. But thank you guys so much for watching and supporting. Oh my gosh. I'm going to show you guys the cutest final comic that we made for our Patreon.
Do you have any thoughts about our last podcast episode? If someone Venmos me a million dollars. I'll tell you the real reason we end with the podcast. Can we split it? Yeah. No. No. We'll 50/50 it. You know what? This goes to show our time spent together was well spent cuz you're more of a business woman. $2 million. And I'll tell you the real reason. I really influenced you. Huh? And then let me tell you it it involves drugs and not on my side. Damia. Hey. Wo, that was good. That was really good. Are you happy that I'm giving you Lily Pichu back once a week?
Once a week? Yep. I'm usually here once a week. Well, actually, I'll probably still be here. So, you're probably going to go over more if anything. I probably will. I don't know if we want to do a general thing or just go into the fact that it's the last step, but I figured it's like an update talking about maybe why talk about your week or your life, things you've done, and then transition into like the death. Oh, I don't even know where to start because the only way that I can describe this is it feels like we're telling our children that we're getting divorced, but actually like mommy and daddy are staying together.
We're still staying together. The kid just has to leave. The kids have to leave. Can we kiss? Yes. I've been saying this all along. All right. Turn the camera off. That's the end. You still love me. I love you always. Say bye everybody. A why am I saying bye? Can I tell you something crazy? I don't want to say tea. This is too serious to call tea, but in a way it's kind of tea. Basically, I've known this lady for years, maybe like 6 years now. I know her whole family. They're all so sweet. She has a daughter who's special needs.
Sweetie Pie. I've met her so many times. Anyways, I'm going to cut to the chase. Basically, this lady told me that her husband kicked her out because he had been seeing someone else for a few months. And she said, "That's why he's been treating me so badly." And that's not even really the kicker. I was worried about her because not only did he kick her out, dump her out of nowhere, was cheating on her, he called immigration on her. And because of her immigration status, they are deporting her back to Mexico. And I was not only worried about her, but I was also really worried about their daughter.
So I asked her like, "Is your daughter going to be okay? Can I help? Like, can I send you guys money?" She told me that actually the daughter wasn't even hers. She actually essentially adopted his daughter who had special needs and was taking care of her as if it was her own. And he does that to her. And the saddest part of it all is she was also telling me that she left with nothing and they would kind of work together as a family. And I am like my blood was just boiling on her behalf.
And I just wanted to share this kind of as a reminder. No matter who you are, if you are in a relationship, you should make sure that the relationship that you are in is fair to you. You should never be in a situation where if you left a relationship, you would be left with nothing. Also, if someone really loves you, they wouldn't want to put you in that position anyways. They would want you to have something for yourself to be okay no matter what happens. So, please, please, please just make sure that you are taking care of yourself as much as you are taking care of other people or at the very least that the people that you care for are caring for you, too.
Anyways, I just thought I would share that with y'all cuz hearing that news like shook me. Hey, so I got my hair done. Wait, now that I'm filming, I actually really like it. I toned it a little bit darker. I edited, posted a Tik Tok, posted on IG, posted so much on my story, posted about my collab tomorrow with agent. Honestly, I'm feeling kind of anxious today. I don't know. Sometimes I have like a productivity anxiety. Like even though I'm doing a lot, something feels off. And I actually think one of the reasons that this is the case sometimes is actually just that I feel, for lack of better term, maybe like lonely.
And usually I just need to go see another human being. So I messaged Josh, who is streaming right now, and I asked him if he wants to play Valerant because sometimes that gets me this social fix that I sometimes I'm actually looking for through productivity. I have a tech check soon for the stream tomorrow and then I'm going to edit some more tonight. I'll show you guys what I get up to. I have that song stuck in my head. Right back. Right back. Right back. Hey. Right back. Right back. Right back. Hey. Do you guys know what I'm talking about?
I'm plat one, so I need to be plat three. Honestly, I could hit that. Easy. Easy. Easy. I got one upper tagged one lower and main. Hello. It is time for a tech check. We're setting up the stream for tomorrow. I'll give you guys a quick look at that. But let me just tell you what I'm up to. I was editing this Tik Tok that I'm going to post just to say that the podcast is done and like tell me why it's actually making me want to cry. I have to keep reminding myself with Lily is so strong and so good.
And like just cuz the podcast is ending doesn't mean our friendship is ending. Hello. I also think there's a part of me that is nervous for public reception. I know our community loves and cares for us a lot and I feel bad like I feel like I'm letting them down. But anyways, I'm just uh in my feelings about them. So, are you guys all good? Do you need anything from me? Good. Uh just had a question. So, to give you guys a little context, in the past it was actually me who set up the camera and stuff for past collabs.
Like for example, the cat's eye one. I set that up. But this time we are getting a professional tech person. So so happy to be working with someone on this. And we're trying to make sure the setup is really good, especially in terms of audio and video quality and for two people and for a group. So we're testing out different mic setup, whether we want them attached or a boom mic, etc. So I'm so happy that I get to work on projects that involve other people. Hello. I'm heating up some food. I am starved. Okay, I just got my nails done.
I'm going to eat that and maybe a sweet treat. We'll see. And Josh is playing Valerant with Girl Set, and he'd invited me to play earlier, but I was out. So, I'm going to see if I can join them for a game. It's about 300 p.m. and my collab with Agent is at 4:00, so I have a couple hours to spare. And I'm so excited for the club. Sundays are always my reset day. I decided to get my 10k steps by walking to Janet's house and I hung out and did some work while she streamed.
I ended the night with a magnesium salt bubble bath. I feel relaxed just watching the footage back. I hope you enjoyed this little week in my life.
