Hello everybody and welcome to Twitch Public Access. This is our monthly show dedicated to what's going on in the community. It's meant to just highlight all the recent cool stuff that we've done and things that are coming up so you don't miss a thing. My name is Mary and I'm happy to be here with my friend Charlie. How's it going, Charlie? Good morning. It is a lovely morning. I am doing amazing and it is cold and raining in LA and I'm happy cuz I'm from the south and I love rain. Um let's talk a little bit about the first thing um which is our San Diego uh TwitchCon recap. I really enjoyed a lot of the places that I was able to work on during this event. There was so many wonderful things that uh we saw. A lot of community members got together and had a wonderful time. Let's take a look at some of the highlights. HI EVERYBODY. 10 YEARS OF TWITCHCON. What about TwitchCon? Twitchcon San Diego 2025. What you know about it? Twitchcon 2025. What's up? You're a Twitchcon. Come on. Come on. At TwitchCon, we got panels. We got gaming. You can buy merch from your favorite artist. I love artist alley. Spend all my money. Or going to the glitch theater. My favorite part is meeting everyone in the crowd. All the fans sure was crazy. And with that, TwitchCon comes to a close here. Um, let us move on to the next section. Charlie, I always love doing this. We're going to talk a little bit more um about Indigenous People's Day, a very important holiday, but we cannot do that alone. So, please help me in welcoming simply Artha. Artha, please tell everybody a little bit about yourself so they can become a bit more familiar with your content if they have not watched any of your streams. Sure. Um, hi, my name is Simply. Um, you can call me Artha. That is my name. Uh, I'm an indigenous filmmaker, content creator, and streamer. Um, I am CRE from Cassetan First Nation in Canada. And, um, yeah, I play a variety of games. Uh, my first love will always be DVD. That's kind of like the game that I that I that's my comfort game. When I'm like when I'm done with the day, I'm like, I'm just going to relax and play DVD, which sounds very funny, but it is. Um, let's take a look at some of the highlights from this year's event. Being an indigenous creator on Twitch to me means that I get to showcase native excellence as an entertainer. We are gamers, storytellers, artists, and advocates. We're taking up space and creating opportunities for other indigenous streamers. We come from different vibrant indigenous communities and showcasing that to the world is important. Realizing through the use of some of the stream tags on Twitch that I really wasn't alone. As a queer indigenous person, I think it's important to be seen and to create space and make space for others who share those experiences. It's an opportunity to find a familiar community from the comfort of my own home, as well as teach others just starting out on their journey. Having a space like Twitch is an amazing place to educate everyone, as well as meet so many other indigenous creators and streamers all over Turtle Island and beyond. It's important that people remember that we are still here and we are strong and we are thriving. a beautiful video um with lots of really wonderful streamers who are going live every day and um just entertaining the world and and sharing their stories with us. Um Charlie, please tell everybody a little bit about Indigenous People's Day. Yes, Indigenous People's Day um was a wonderful time and we actually had some amazing people on front page. We had Angie Noel on the front page with an indigenous author Shane Hawk raising funds for National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition and Twitch donated $2,000 to the cause. Um, and I would love to chat with Artha more about Indigenous People's Day and what did you do? Mhm. Well, we actually started off with a raid train and we had 13 streamers um participate which I think is so awesome because if we actually look at indigenous teachings, we believe in 13 well there are 13 moons actually throughout the year and so there are also like 13 uh uh 13 what are they like o octagons on a on a turtle's back like 13 is actually a really significant number and so having 13 streamers was awesome And all of us um raised money uh for the National American uh Boarding School Healing Foundation as well. So in total we raised 3,000 and 25. Uh some of us continue to raise money afterwards. So it actually was more than that. So it was really important to us because that um helped support that organization that helps uplift and support families that were impacted by the US boarding schools. And so yeah, it just it allowed us the opportunity to not only raise money but also highlight and showcase indigenous, you know, streamers and um having events like that like we had different events of like people interviewing people but also just playing games and and playing games with each other and it was such a great opportunity and I think indigenous people's day um you know was one of those things that I think is is a newer holiday because it used to be another holiday before and then it changed over to Indigenous People's day. So, we're celebrating that and really almost like reclaiming it into a way that's like, okay, we're going to take this day and to celebrate and honor um indigenous people within North America. And speaking of like uplifting voices, um we asked you to do an impossible task for us, Artha. We asked you to name a streamer that you wanted to recommend. Yes, I I like I agree. It was such a It was such a hard task cuz I want to up I want to like I want to highlight like so many and I was just like okay who who haven't I highlighted before or supported or or or who am I who do I feel like deserves more love than I think that they're getting. And so I chose Phoenix Down X who is a queer indigenous variety streamer. They were in the video. You could see the video. Um and they're Ho Chunk from the Midwest and they've been streaming on Twitch for more than 5 years. And yeah, I think they're a kind um gracious person who constantly is up to play games with us and um I think they're entertaining and I I honestly think more people should be following them and and and watching their stream. Let us move on to another incredible event that's happening uh that happened recently which is Veterans Day without discussing Veterans Day. We really could not do this Charlie without Tactical Ghost. So let's please bring Tactical Ghost to the show. Hi, Tactical Ghost. How's it going? Good. We're excited. We It's a thick show today. We had a lot We have so much going on and um we're really excited to talk to you a little bit about Veterans Day, but also you Tactical Ghost. For anyone who's unfamiliar with you or your streams, please tell everybody a little bit about yourself. Oh, well, first and foremost, my name is Tactical Ghost. Everybody calls me Tech or either Ghost. Um, I play mainly ARPGs, survival games of those sorts. Um, and a little bit of DBD here and there. I've been a creator for about eight years now. Um, I create content on Twitch and, you know, short form content everywhere. We also are delighted to have you to speak a little bit to your experiences as a veteran uh, for Veterans Day. Twitch featured vets on saluting our service members shelf. Uh where we front we also front paged several creators that were raising money for veteran causes and we also donated to some of those causes. So let's take a look and we'll talk about it. What the heck? Thank you so much for that 20 bomb, Twitch. That is insane. I have never seen that before. That is truly incredible. Thank you so so much for the 20 bomb. Happy Veterans Day. Enjoy your stream Twitch. Thank you so much. Now that is that is a class act right there. I don't care who you are. Thank you so much for coming in here dropping a 20 bomb. That that is that is wild to me. And everybody who just got a gifted you can say a big old thank you to Twitchy Witchy baby. Yeah. Twitch if that is you. Thank you. [ __ ] I'm dying. Yo, is Twitch describing the love on Veterans Day? Hello, Twitch. Welcome in. How are you tonight? I hope you're doing good. I hope you're having yourself a wonderful Tuesday. I don't know what just happened. That's a $500 donation from Oh my good goddess. Came into my channel. I am so good. Thank you very much for the 20 subs. That's cool. That's kind of cool. Thank you so much, Twitch. Seriously, that that means the the absolute world. And uh I know I know y'all came in early this morning, uh some of you, and I just want to say thank you because because of you all, I found a purpose again once I stopped wearing a uniform. We also asked you a very difficult thing for you to do, which was recommend a streamer that you like, that you think is deserving of some uplift. Um, can you tell us a little bit about why you chose your streamer? I chose my streamer because he is probably the probably one of the hardest working people streamers as well in the room when you walk into a room. I mean, he's always trying to find a way to better himself, better his content, whether it be live streaming, short form, long form, it doesn't matter. Um, and on top of that, he's he's also a mentor mentor for the Twitch gills. So, it's like he never stops growing regardless of what he does. Whether he has mishaps, he always continues to grow. So, that's why I recommend him. I love this. This is Ambi Tones. We actually have a clip of Ambi Tones. Let's take a look. Hey, uh, he in the backline. He in the backline. Black Widow right here. Judgement in progress. See how they go. Situational awareness on zero. We are at the point where we are going to do our top five clips of the month. To do this, we have to bring back Simply Athena. Let's do this. Uh Artha, let's get you back on here. Um this is our we kind of scour the internet for our favorite clips of the last month and uh we get to kind of watch them live with you guys here. So, uh, let's talk a little bit about these clips and enjoy them together, right? You guys ready? Mhm. I'm ready. Okay, let's take a look at our number five clip. Smashing a Big Mac with over 40K viewers. Just another day in the office, Mr. Not. That's right. That's right. Oh, this is burnt peanut. They are having a killer year. Another day, another dollar. I think he's dead. Oh, he's watching Ginger. Oh my god. That was actually the closest I actually got to choking and dying in my entire life. Holy [ __ ] Holy [ __ ] I'm not even joking. I was actually about to get up and run over to the other room. I've never felt that sensation before. I don't know if you guys know this, but Burnt Peanut uh was nominated, I think, for streamer of the year in multiple categories for the stream awards and the game awards. They're having like an insane year and it almost ended because they almost just died by choking on something on their stream. Um, well, that was our number five most watched clip. Let's take a look at our number four most watched clip of the last month. All right, your nominees for streamer of the year are Oh, it's the streamer awards. And this is extra Emily watching. Streamer of the year are extra Emily. What? What? What? What? What? Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my freaking god. Are you kidding me? I want to start crying. Wait. Oh my god. I Okay, I can't. Wait, what? Oh my god. I did not expect that at all. I did. Oh my god, I'm going to cry. I did not [ __ ] think we would get up in here. A That's really cute. Wait, I had no idea. Um, that's so sweet. How exciting must it be to be nominated for any award? Any recognition at all is really spectacular. But, um, hats off to Extra Emily for her first nomination for streamer of the year at the streamer awards. Here's a fun moment showing some good gaming sportsmanship. I think there there's two in there, I think. Well played. Well played. Respectable. Respectable, honestly. Kill it. [ __ ] slay. Yeah, this is the type of toxic I would love to experience. Yeah, this our next clip is a streamer that has had quite a year. This is Ari at home. Anyone who doesn't know this streamer, they are notorious for walking around New York City with a full music rig complete with mic and giant speakers. and he makes custom beats live and then he allows New Yorkers to pick up the mic and say whatever it is that they want to say. Most of the time they rap, sometimes they sing, um, and they're just like allowed to take the mic. And not only are they live to all the New Yorkers within that city block that can hear them, um, they're live on Twitch. So, this is Ari uh, live in New York City and he has a very special guest. Let's take a look. And I go and I go to the pool. and I go. and I go and I GO AND I GO. GIVE ME THAT ONE MORE TIME, PLEASE. Donnie out here, bro. You got real motion. Look at this. Hey, can I just shake your hand real quick, man? Honor, man. I'm honored for you to pull up and say what's up, man. I appreciate that a This is an honor for me, man. Truly. Thank you, man. And thank all of you guys for being One more time, give him a give him a little something something. Thank you guys. I really I really appreciate you guys are incredible. Thank you, sir. We're just here. We do what we do. It's the cry first, man. This is what we love about New York. This clip went viral this month because uh Mumani was running for New York City mayor and he did win that race and um he was featured on Arya at home's live stream. This is like kind of a surreal thing for Twitch because we are exploding in the world of IRL streams and music streams. Um, but rarely do you see uh an event where a uh political candidate is hanging out with streamers and chilling and getting involved in the streaming world. So, it was like kind of a a wild experience for us. And um just want to give a shout out to Ari at home for being probably like one of the most incredible music entertainers ever. I met them uh several times. They've been to TwitchCon and they literally walk around with this giant heavy rig and and play music live and anyone can take that mic and uh and sing or or talk or do whatever they want. It's it's really really wild. Um he is a technical innovative genius in my opinion. Um that was number two. So we are already at our number one clip of the month. You guys ready to see what it is? This may surprise you, but probably not. This was the most viral clip this last month because it's a huge, huge deal. Um, it's never happened before. We have never ever had a streamer be nominated for a Grammy and yet this month it did happen. Let's take a look at what happened. We did it. WE A GRAMMY NOMINEE. Oh my gosh. Boy Mac. I did not know that. Yeah, this is a a first. Damn, bro. Hey, UK. I love you, Scat. Fred, I love you. Damn, I got to play it for the one time. And look at him celebrating with his chat. You can see all the dubs in chat. Um, what's really cool about this, and Charlie, I know you know a little bit about this, so I'm going to Oh my god, I need some Oh. Oh my god. I would freak out, too. He's playing the song now. So, oh my goodness, about this, but what's so freaking cool about Blackboy Max and Fred again, who made this song that's currently nominated for uh a Grammy, is that a lot of the construction of this song, the music video, the launch, all this stuff, it all happened on Twitch. Um, thank you again for watching and we will see you on the next live stream. Thanks for hanging out with everybody. Have a good day. Goodbye.
