Oh my goodness, it is here. This is the brand new Hypershell X Ultra S. I saw Hypershell at CES this year and it was so incredible. This is basically an AI exoskeleton that you wear to enhance your athletic performance. So this is something that will allow you to go out, do trails, run faster, jump, climb, and do whatever else it is that you do outside on adventures. And I'm so hyped to actually get it here to try out in the real world instead of the show floor of CES. So let's unbox, set it up, and get outside.
We've got a charging kit, some accessories, and the exoskeleton. Oh, it's got a nice carrying case. The future is here. Wow, this is surprisingly light. Like this just looks like something that you would see in a movie. This is our battery. The case also has a spot for an extra battery, which is great, [music] especially if you are out on an adventure. You want to keep those legs charged up. With our charging kit, we also have this dock, which is going to be great for charging multiple batteries. For the setup, it walks you through the tutorial, so it asks your height, your weight, and then as you continue on, it'll give you all of the settings that you need to set up [music] for your body type.
Batteries are fully charged, so let's insert. First step, we're going to adjust the hip lever tubes. So this gave me a recommendation of four. Wow, this is like so light. It's crazy. Then it move the slider at least two fingers above my [music] knees. Buckle in, baby. We're going for a walk. [music] Everything's on, secured. I've double-checked. Now it's time to turn it on. Here it is. Connecting, connecting, connecting. I feel it just took over. I I'm doing this, but it's it's helping me lift my legs. Oh, this is so cool. Okay, there's different modes.
Let's see what else we've got. Hyper mode. This dude's running. He's full-on sprint mode. We're going for a run today. Oh! That's so great. Like it literally lifted my leg for me. Wow, that's even more power. It's lifting my legs so much. I just feel like I want to flow. I'm sure many of you have a ton of questions like what is this? Who is it for? Why would I ever want this? Well, let's first start off what it is. Technically, it's called an exoskeleton. And when you think of that, like I think futuristic, I think video games, I think huge gigantic robotic monsters in [music] movies and films.
But no, this is something that is adaptive. It's supposed to enhance what you're already doing. It's not necessarily meant to replace movement. It's augmenting it. So, if you want to go out doing long-distance trail runs, rides, [music] walks, climbs, this is what it's really meant for. The AI system that it's using is called hyper intuition. So, it's able to automatically detect [music] what activity you're doing. Now, inside of the app, there are a bunch of different options. So, you can choose to use the hyper intuition, or you can go in and manually set what activity that you are doing.
Now, it's time to put it through the real test. There's a place called the Culver Stairs here in Los Angeles, which is [music] a set of stairs that is brutal. So, we're going to put these through the paces. I cannot wait to take this outside. I got to make sure I don't forget my extra battery. And let's go! So, I've been switching [music] between the hyper intuition and the adaptive motion recognition. It's cool because I can feel the differences every time I select something different. So, right now I have it on walking. Now, when I click uphill, it's helping my legs lift a little bit more than just walking straight.
There's also ones for downhill, running, gravel, snow. There's so many different options that really allows you to tailor this to any environment that you're in. It's going to be interesting to see my heart rate. The other thing that this is supposed to help you with is lowering your heart rate when you're doing strenuous activities, because you're still doing something strenuous, but because this is taking on a higher percentage of the workload, it's allowing you to do more, go further, and a lower heart rate. So, I've actually never done these stairs before. I've only heard [music] about them, and that looks steep.
But that's okay, cuz I've got my Ekso Bionic Legs. Let's do it. Wow. Wow. Wow. This is so like I feel like I'm doing nothing. I'm like I'm I'm walking up just like I'm walking straight. Okay, we didn't go very far yet, but still. Just those little steps, I I got this. It just switched [music] to going upstairs. How cool. It knows exactly what I'm doing. Big step. Big [music] step. Big step up. How you doing back there? I'm fine. How are you? This is literally like a walk in the park. My heart rate's like 122.
So, my heart rate is 165. Well, do you want to try turning it off and seeing what it's like? Not really, but I probably should for the test. So, this first part I had it on eco 100% it automatically detected the stairs, and now I'm going to turn it off to see what it's [music] like to do this without any assistance. Whoa. Okay. This is so wild to go from assistance to no assistance. What are you doing? Can I turn it back on now? Yeah. Okay, thanks. Now, I'm going to turn it to hyper. So, this is going to give me even more assistance.
We're going to see what that feels like. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Okay, we turned it up a little. We're going to 100. 100% assistance. Are you Are you okay? You need a break? I can talk about it all I want, but unless you actually physically try this, it's hard to explain. I feel so fit. Let's push. Final countdown. I am cruising up this hill. Now, what's cool about this is this isn't something that I would use to like replace my fitness. This could definitely be something that if I wanted to do the these stairs over and over and over again, I could because this is basically giving me that ability.
Definitely still an effort, so don't get it twisted. This isn't making it completely easy, but it's definitely giving me that boost. I mean, look at this. Look at this step. 143. We got a little little boost on that one. So far my favorite mode has been just the eco around 75% but when I boosted [music] this up to the hyper, getting up some of those tougher stairs was pretty impressive. The other thing that's interesting is when you go into your stats, this will show you how much range you have. So right now I am at about 58% battery on this current one that I have in.
At 70% [music] that's going to give you a 3.58 mile range. Now when I go back and I can [music] turn this down to about 45, this gives me 6 miles. Now when I go back and I switch it into hyper, which is pretty intense, this gives me a 1.79 mile range. So I think this is something that depending upon your terrain, if you're just walking casually, you will want to turn this down and make sure that you are using the eco mode so you'll be able to conserve [music] your miles. See if I can sit in this.
Oh. Oh, yeah. So [music] shocked at how comfortable this is because when you see something like this, you think that it will not really like conform or fit to your body but there's so many adjustments that you can make depending [music] upon your size, your height. Everything about it is customizable and it's comfortable. It doesn't even really feel like I'm wearing something well, okay, it feels like I'm [music] wearing something but it doesn't feel like it's hindering my movement even when it's off. It's not heavy. The way that it sits on your hips and [music] the way that it's attached to your knees, everything about it just feels so comfortable and intuitive.
I'm so shocked by this. This is also giving me a false sense of my fitness ability right now. It is time to go down the stairs. Whoa, it's giving a whole 'nother sensation. Instead of like lifting your legs up, it's kind of like making sure that you don't step too hard down. Feels like it's pushing down so that when you land, it's not giving you as harsh of a landing. It's stabilizing your legs while you go down. Now I want to test it [music] out going for a run. [laughter] Y'all, I'm not that fast. Faster?
Um I We're We're 100% now. Hyper running. This is so cool. I haven't been running very much this last year. So, the fact that this feels fairly easy is pretty impressive. It's just such a weird feeling. The fact that like I'm running and I'm getting a little extra help from my exoskeleton. We're done. We're done here. We're done here. Cut. I had so much fun checking out the HyperShell X Ultra S. I'm so excited about the future of mobility tech and getting a chance to check this out and show it to you guys was incredible.
I'd love to hear what you guys think about it in the comments below. If you want to get any more information about this or any of their other products, I'll put a link in my description. Check it out. Let me know what you guys think. Ah, I'll see you guys later. I got to run.
