Discusses expectations for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 and Part 2 payoffs, urging a desire for surprises rather than cookie-cutter outcomes.

Maximilian Dood weighs in on FF7 Rebirth, the new RE9 DLC, and the wild Roguelite take in Saros, while hyping upcoming drops and debating how the trilogy will land.

Summary

Maximilian Dood dives into a jam-packed stream where he toggles between Sonic-speed anticipation for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 and the just-announced DLC for RE8? RE9?—plus a deep-dive into Saros and the new 2X KO fuse in the DLC. He jokes about being the “FF7 remake series hater” while admitting the trilogy has him hooked, especially with the non-linear storytelling and era-spanning mysteries that keep fans speculating. He notes that the 2X KO fuse is designed to amp duo play, letting two characters hit simultaneously for a short window, and explains how even solo players can engage with it. He teases the Leon Must Die Forever roguelite-style content, its unlocks, buffs, and the sense that this isn’t traditional mercenary mode but a more structured, growth-driven challenge. Throughout, Maximilian reflects on how the FF7 remake saga subverts expectations and uses misdirections (like the Rebirth ending) to keep the community debating long after the credits roll. He also teases other upcoming tentpoles like Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 DLC and Stranger of Paradise content, tying them back to his core love for inventive, high-energy co-op action. In the end, he emphasizes that while some community theories may diverge, his goal remains to enjoy the ride, celebrate the craft, and hope for even better surprises in the next installment. The stream weaves personal playtime, live reactions, and a candid take on the community’s discourse into a single, enthusiastic gaming diary.

Key Takeaways

  • The 2X KO fuse in 2X KO introduces a team-based mechanic where you can fuse two characters for 7 seconds of joint attacks, with a duo-find voice chat option coming in Season 2.
  • Leon Must Die Forever is a roguelite-like DLC for RE9, offering permanent progression elements and new buffs, challenging players to build a strong run with randomized enhancers.
  • Maximilian loves FF7 Remake parts for their character work and narrative subversions, predicting that Part 3 will surprise more than it confirms and urging fans to stay open to unpredictable twists.
  • The stream covers RE9 DLC, Sorrowos gameplay, and new Aliens Fire Team Elite 2 content, mapping a broader appetite for varied, cooperative, high-action experiences beyond FF7.
  • He argues that the best part of the FF7 remake trilogy is the characters—accurate portrayals that sometimes diverge from classic depictions but feel emotionally true.
  • Maximilian emphasizes enjoying the journey over forcing a single narrative consensus, warning against turning theorycraft into hostility or gatekeeping.

for that special light to shower me with love. Show me with power. I got to get the song to carry on. Baby got to get your soul to carry on even. Yo, what's up, dudes? All right. Damn, chat. My ass was supposed to be out here playing Sorrowos today. I was going to have a full dedicated stream. I just going to sit here and play Soros all goddamn night. And then RE9 is like, "Hey, here's an entire new DLC. Here's an entire new DLC. Leon must die forever, brother. Brother Warhouse Bard, thank you for the 10 gift subs, man. Holy [ __ ] And the Undy Taker, thanks for the 10 gift subs as well. Uh, Florian Queen, thanks for the 16 months. Uh, so damn it. Damn it. Maybe we'll be able to jump into it um a bit earlier. Yes, I'm your resident Final Fantasy 7 remake series hater that doesn't do what I like. It's bad. Um, that's me. Those of you that don't know, hi, my name's Dick Buttkiss. Um, we need to also check out the Aliens Firestorm. uh or a fire fire team elite, what the heck's it called? New DLC thing. 2x KO news is pretty crazy. They stuck in soul stone mode, aka NBC1 mode. Yeah. As a pretty much directly for uh Duo Fuse, like an even more engaging Duo Fuse, which was pretty cool. Two characters come out at the same time. Yeah, you're the problem. It's you. Yes, it's me. It is me. Um I do want to I do want to play Sorrowos. I really do. So, we're going to try to dedicate some time to that a bit later tonight. Um, we're gonna try. No YouTube stream. It's up YouTube. You guys okay? Hello? Hello? Are you guys okay? Is this [ __ ] working? Hello. Um, anyway, so you can use the new Fuse solo. No, you can. It isn't only for uh It isn't only for duos. Um, but it's like heavily It's heavily like duo engagement, you know. Uh, we're good. Okay, YouTube's good. Um, so yeah, I thought there might be Jesus Warhouse bar, thanks for the 10 gift subs again. Holy [ __ ] Um, I thought that might be a pretty decent opportunity as we're getting about a month away from Final Fantasy 7 uh remake part 3 to sort of uh settle down and rein reinvigorate some of my feelings and wishes and desires and also um opinions on stuff. and because a lot of people are misconstring stuff and just taking things within out of context and making their own narratives about it. So, uh yeah, the the big thing that I had to chime in because I do not really engage with Final Fantasy 7 discourse on Twitter very much at all. Um it doesn't ever amount to anything. It doesn't really solve anything. Um, and I kind of came to this conclusion that I won't be really engaging with a lot of that at the end of FF7 Rebirth because it was really shitty at the end of FF7 Rebirth, right? Just even having opinions of where the story is going became uh, real [ __ ] at the end of that game. And I made like a video and like a statement at the end of that. Haven't talked about this at all since then. So, we're next we're close to the next game. We're at that point now, right? We're we have circled around the bend. We are uh going to be upwards of like 2 years plus. uh since talking about all that and um yeah a lot of different people have a lot of different ideas of where the story can go I think for me personally and I have expressed this at several times that there's a lot of stuff that the game sets up um that some of it pays off in part two and there's a lot of stuff that is also set up in part two that we don't know if it's going to pay off pay off in part three and that seems to be driving people insane right while I sort of like revel in it like I'm at a point where I I love this [ __ ] man. Like I actually in I love the fact that we are getting a remake to Final Fantasy 7 and it isn't just this one to one thing by the by the book by the numbers, you know, square shape and square hole sort of game that is going to play out the way you think it does. cuz we've just been seeing remaking time and time again when they come out and it's like, "Oh, well that's exactly what you thought it would be." And then it comes out and it's exactly what you think it is and then it's the most quickly forgotten thing, you know, immediately after because all the people that got the thing to look pretty don't have anything really to say about it. They know exactly what's happening and all the people that jump into it, it isn't it kind of plays like an older game. So some people are like, "Well, yeah." Um, so anyway, square shape and a square hole. Um, my opinion on the remake series is that uh we always kind of had a theory and an idea that dude, they're just going to do all the same [ __ ] right? Even this uh undiscovered adventure like thing they had at the end of the first game, the the message they're they're going to People said they're going to go wild different directions. And it's like, no, dude, they're all going to go to the exact same places. The whole point of it is to tell a story that hits all the same cool narrative beats, but adds a bunch more context and characters and things that you would never get. Like, dude, you run into Sis and [ __ ] like that. Like, that's genuinely cool. Things that they added to it are like, whoa, this is way different and genuinely cool. So, with that came the uh assumption that stuff is going to change. And potentially, it seems like characters are kind of aware uh of what the future events have in store for them. So with that, yeah, there's a lot of arguments and, you know, initial posting going all the way back to remake part one. It's like, is this like a pseudo sequel? Um, if it's called Final Fantasy 7 remake and the second one's called Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, well, we know what Rebirth is, but what the hell is being remade in the first one? Like, it's not just describing the game. It's a character's intentions. And the idea was that Sephro is remaking what happened in like Final Fantasy 7. So anyway, that's that just seemed like what they were sort of doing with it. So anyway, um that seemingly has a lot of people on edge for some reason and the idea and and discussion of like what it could be to the point where people are taking points of my conversation and saying that yeah, if the next part of the game doesn't sort of like pay off in those ways and like like it has all these buildup to all these things like seven years of buildup and [ __ ] yeah, it would be disappointing if some of that stuff didn't pay off in some way. I I I I still think that way. I think it would be disappointing if it just leads to, you know, it just leads to the same tried and true. Right after this is FF7 Advent Children and then right after that is Durge Cberus and it's like, okay, I feel like that that would be like the most obvious and expected thing they could possibly do uh with the series. And I feel like they don't want to do that. I feel like they it seems like they would want to subvert expectations in some way. And I'll say for me personally, I don't want that either, man. Like I I don't want to be right about everything that I feel about it. I want to be surprised. Like that's that's where I'm at right now. I don't want this just to be the exact thing that follows the exact motions and is all cookie cutter. No, no, no. I want this to do things with it, you know? And the reason why people are sort of turned up is that Rebirth sort of commits to that and then kind of doesn't, you know, and it's and I I honestly feel that it's intentional because that happens in the narrative in several points in Rebirth story. Bugenhagen is the best example of it where you have all these expectations of a character and then you meet them and they're not that like your expectation is not what you think actually happens. So it's like this game is doing this especially with its ending. You know what I mean? So um I felt like that was kind of intentional. You know feels like the devs were sort of aware of that and you get a game now that leaves you wondering. Now we're all questioning like wow. Yeah Vincent literally says it. Vincent literally says it at the end of the game. Um, so with that being said, like a lot of people are labeling and not a lot, it's a this is like a few hundred people. The thing that bugs me about it is that people are trying to put words in my mouth of what I feel and saying that I feel this way and I I I exclaim this when it's not true. And the exclamation is that if this thing doesn't line up with the theories and ideas that I have that it's like objectively bad. And I feel like that is a gross misunderstanding of the word disappointment, right? Disappointment doesn't mean bad. Disappointment literally is that there was an expectation from myself that it could possibly go in some way. And if it doesn't do anything with the expectation, then yeah, that's disappointed. Does it make the entirety of the trilogy just that aspect of the story bad? It's like, [ __ ] we got the craziest reimagining of the greatest video game of all time and it's being split into three parts and we got to sit here and digest and emphasize and discuss with each other all the crazy ideas that we hear across the board. That was on purpose, right? That was literally on purpose to get everybody talking. And the issue now is that because of a person of my stature and the audience I have and I guess the weight of my words that a lot of people agree with me and if if somebody else has a conflicting opinion, they might they might fe they might get like the opposite feedback. Oh, but Max says this, you know, and I get it. I get it. Like the the only reason that I feel like I'm in the spot where I'm at is that I'm able to vibe with a lot of people's feelings. The only reason I'm not I'm for some reason the community figurehead of like Final Fantasy 7 going and I've been the community figurehead of several goddamn games. I never asked for this, but as I go back to all of them, it's like, yeah, the the things I'm saying just vibe with the majority of what the community feels and I'm able to express them in a way that feels like hopefully the message is being heard to the people that are making the game, which is honestly my goal, too. Like the goal is that I want things to get better. The goal of me criticizing a lot of aspects, jokingly and seriously criticizing parts of remake part one and part two is so that things can get better. If they are listening, then I hope that they see they hear some of this so that things can get better. So, is that going to change the way I personally feel about things? No. These are my feelings, bro. Like, I love what they're doing with this [ __ ] I love it. I love the discussion. I love the conversations that we get to have. I love the fact that I don't know what's going to happen next. And in the same way I've seen this happen in communities and being on the internet for long enough, dude, people lose their minds. Like people just are deeply uncomfortable and having to go to the most aggressive ends of defense to defend like opinions and things like that. And I never, if I've ever given you that feeling, and I said this I said this at the end of Rebirth, nobody's opinion is right. like nobody's theory, nobody's like idea of where the story is going to go is correct. None of it's right, including mine. None of it's right until the next game. And as long as you can under, as long as you can accept that your own validation can be wrong, then we're cool. That's cool. The problem is is that so many people are like aggressively against it either being a remake or being just a spicy, you know, uh uh being being a spicy remake or a sequel that now people are like getting very defensive about it, you know? So, I don't want to give people those vibes. Like, dude, I have the wildest goddamn theory of everybody. I I still think Aith is Gova at the end of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. And people deeply got on my case about that. like deeply got like I got that that was when I had to pull back and be like oo I don't want to talk about this theory stuff anymore dude I'm good and that was years ago that I had to like stop discussing this [ __ ] which we kind of did which we kind of did now I just say the exact same things I've always been saying that um I wouldn't personally be super happy if it just leads to Advent Children and Dur Cberus I don't I adventure is one of my favorite movies to be real but it's deeply flawed movie deeply flawed film that as an FF7 fan does a lot for me but uh Durge which I genuinely dislike. There's not a lot of that. There's not a lot of that game that I like. Maybe outside of the music. So, um I would like to think that maybe this thing does not lead all the way to Dura Cerberus again. And I would like to think that that's the case because they're remaking it in Ever Crisis, dude. They're already there's a reason they're doing that. It doesn't I don't feel like they're doing that. They're doing that so you can be reminded that that does exist. And to me, that there's a reason why that's happening there and not like, you know, in the big games. Anyway, um the other big thing that got me was that, and this is just a a situation that just has been happening over and over and over again going all the way back to remake part one. The thing that got me the most was when I started seeing the people that was taking what I was saying uh as like objective fact that if if this doesn't take place, if it doesn't fulfill my wishes and demands, then this is bad. Like this is actually this series is [ __ ] which is what people were trying to paint me as, which was very fascinating that um folks were trying to paint me as being a an actual objective Final Fantasy 7 remake series hater if it doesn't follow what I personally want. Wild assumption. Um I started digging a couple layers deeper and I started to understand something after after one person told me this and I was like, "Oh, I wonder if that's true." And I kind of found out that like there's a larger pseudo narrative that's been going on for quite some time about the endings of about the ending of Final Fantasy 7 and why people would either want it to change for an obvious reason or why people and be like, you know, an actual sequel or why people would want it to be the exact same as the original. Right? There's if it and I think I think some of us can come to some pretty clear conclusions without even calling out the community directly even though I did so because Jesus Christ. Um you would kind of understand why you would want the game to come to a conclusion the exact same way as the old game. You know you would and then you would kind of come to a another conclusion that people would want the narrative to change drastically um including the including the fate of characters and things like that. So I'm like, yeah, I can see why I can see why they would be coming to those conclusions, but there's always like a battle that's going on there. You know what I mean? So I don't think that's every part of the conversation. However, when I was started investigating this, because I get a bunch of people not adding me and there's all these arguments that are going on and it's like, so what is being said? Like, who is saying that I'm saying this [ __ ] And every single goddamn time I boiled it down, it ended up being somebody that was either pushing a ludo narrative of a character's destiny or some [ __ ] like that. Like I I I looked again and again and again and again and every single time it's like what is the boiling? And this has happened several times in FF7 fandom over the past seven years that I've been actively attached to this. Um every time I look back into this it's like it always boils down to this. like every single goddamn time. So, all I'm going to say is that you guys do you. All All I want you to know is that I deeply don't have any part of that conversation. Like, I don't [ __ ] with it. I don't find it interesting, and I I just don't [ __ ] with it. It's not It's not what makes Final Fantasy 7 interesting necessarily to me at all. Um, and I I'll be real, I am down with whatever the developers do. Like, I really am. They haven't let me down, bro. Like I have criticisms of stuff, but I need to remind people of this in terms of being like a fan, like liking something and like loving something and being an actual like fanboy and obsessive. When you're a when you're like a fanboy and you're obsessive about something, you just love everything. You just are absolutely over the moon about every you cannot be convinced otherwise about any single aspect. It's hard to have a conversation with you if you are just that deeply into it. like it's like you're really into it. I I don't even know if I've maybe I've been an FF7 fan at some point in my life. Um I've been that way maybe, but it it's been a very long time. It's been like almost 20 years. Um so to me, it's like I I will make fun of the games I love the most. I will make fun of them for the things that are clearly like [ __ ] about them that aren't good. The pro that's not even the problem. The thing that I realized is that in every single game that I love the most from Final Fantasy 7 OG especially to Street Fighter 3 Third Strike to uh Bloodborne, which are like my three big games that I always hype up and [ __ ] Killer Instinct, whatever. Um, I find the things that are deeply flawed in those games and I like making jokes about them because it doesn't matter. I love it. it doesn't matter because the other things that the game does ex in in an exemplary fashion are so good that those other elements do not take down from the overall enjoyment I have of them. And I think the exact same can be said about Final Fantasy 7 remake as well as Rebirth. Like at the end of those games, I could not be more appreciative that I get to exist while this shit's existing and get to play this and share a community that enjoys it with me. I could not believe it. Um, Rebirth. I at the end of it, I legit felt I I I I feel bad for part three because I don't know how it could be better than part two. I know it the part two was such a wonderful game to play. I I have found criticisms that I personally have as time has gone time has passed, but the the feeling I had at the end of part two was just an absolute elation that I could not even describe. It brought me back to the '9s and playing like RPGs on a PS1. It was insane what they were able to do with it. Um, although I have criticisms like there are things that I would like to see future games acknowledge, if not fix, and it was the exact same thing in part one. Dude, I love FF7 remake. Do you think my [ __ ] ass like going back to the sewer? Uh, there are several parts of that game that I have big criticisms of, but I think the things that it does well, the things that I was hoping for it to do well the most that I didn't have much confidence, it knocked it out of the park. It It dude, it grand slammed that [ __ ] And it was the same thing with part two. Same thing with part two. So, anyway, I have the same criticisms for old FF7. I have the same criticisms for Bloodborne, dude. Like, those games are deeply personal to me. But I can I can talk about the parts of them that kind of suck at times. And does that change my love for it? No. I love it. Uh I can acknowledge that this stuff is not necessarily good, but that's what makes me love it is that it's not perfect. And despite its imperfections, I will always feel that this is the best [ __ ] ever. It'll be very hard to get me to change that opinion. So anyway, that's just my take on things. I understand if you don't agree. I understand if you try to twist my words into some way and make it a spicy tweet for the sake of engagement if not monetization or to push a narrative that this video or whatever gets put up on YouTube in sometime in the future uh will stand as a test of time that people can always call back to this and this is how I actually feel on it. I have faith in the developers who do what they do and I'm I'm just here for the ride, dude. I'm here for the ride. It's been amazing so far and uh I hope it gets even better with the next game. The end. I didn't script that chat. I just thought of it. Um anyway, uh Cherith Cherith Games Borrow, thank you. Appreciate it. And to be honest, dude, if you want to do like all your character shipping [ __ ] you're you can do that. Just don't do it around me. Just keep it the hell away from me and any of my conversations. I don't give a [ __ ] I deeply don't [ __ ] with it. I find it in insanely uninteresting. Like super uninteresting. We don't have anything to talk about. Um the wizard, thank you, TKO. Papa, appreciate it. Wolfox, thank you, dude. Um it's a 20-year-old goddamn conversation that to me was cool for all all but a couple years when I was 16 years old and then it went away. Um, so anyway, now let's talk about Vega in Street Fighter 6. You can play Invincible Versus. Uh, not tonight, dude. Too much [ __ ] came out. I want to play more Invincible Versus. I like it. I was having a good time with it. I was having a good time with it. Anyway, also [ __ ] this is the last month. Like, I don't know why people are at each other's necks so much about this [ __ ] This is literally the last month we have to enjoy this, [ __ ] Like, seriously, it's the last month where we don't know things. Why don't we just enjoy the fact that we don't know? It's not a buildup to who can confirm who's right. It's a buildup to we don't know. Like we're going to find the [ __ ] out, dude. This has been a conversation that has been going since 2020. Like we don't know. Just looking and peering and wondering and arguing and dissecting. I mean, I get a little defensive when people don't say, you know, when people go, "You're crazy to look at that bag with a dog on it and assume that it means anything. It's just a bag with a dog, you dumb like all these people." I I I deeply I tend to shoot back when the people are when people are trying to like make you feel stupid about something where it's like, "Okay, well, I mean, that's clearly there. Like, these things are clearly present in the games. We are we just ignore them?" Um, and yeah, every like there was a very large portion, and I wouldn't say large because the majority of people were down with like where the narrative kind of was setting up. Um, trying to pinpoint the fact that like actually this is really stupid and that listen to what I'm saying. Like then you're just denouncing other people having fun. Like we're just having fun. Like this is this is literally what it's set up for. And to be honest, like most of the community stopped having fun. Like to be to be completely real, like this whole theorizing and having fun with this stuff. And I'm I'm not even a theory crafter, dude. I didn't even come up with this [ __ ] People were saying this stuff to me and I just agree with it. And it's like, yeah, no, that that actually feels if you go back and you look at it, that [ __ ] that shit's kind of right, dude. You're kind of [ __ ] right. So anyway, I and I think as the devs have explained, bro, it was intentional. It's literally intentional. It was like they and they did it even in the second game again and left even more conclusions and twists and turns that do not come to any feasible conclusion. I'm telling you without a shadow of the doubt right now, if anybody out there is trying to tell you that what they think about this is actually what's happening and what other people and they're denouncing what other people are saying as being stupid or uninformed or media illiterate, they're just lying to you cuz they don't know. Like there are so many conflicting things in the story itself, much less from the developers words from them talking about [ __ ] that they they don't this is intentional, dude. Like they they they all have all these conflicting things they've been saying in interviews and stuff like that for a hell of a long time because it is actually the biggest goddamn mystery of the game moving forward. It's the biggest one. It's it always like, oh yeah, so maybe that that could be that this could be this, that could be that. That's the whole [ __ ] fun of it. It's the whole fun of it of like seeing some cool speculation that could be happening as a result of it, you know? So anyway, I think it's all intentional mind [ __ ] It's like, dude, they literally said it in it was intentional. They literally said it. You know, people No, no, no, dude. People said there was a red herring in part one. People said the bag was a red herring in part one. And a red herring is literally a misdirect, right? Unless I'm thinking of a different sort of like narrative, like plot narrative thing. It's just a misdirect to get you to think one way or the other. No, dude. The the the goddamn dog bag in the first one with the slow-mo. Yeah. And the music drop was there literally to take a moment and remind you something has changed. like, "Oh, this is different." Oh, oh, [ __ ] Something is different. And then the second game sets up, or did it change? work, bro. I need someone to go back and find my conversation that we had back in FS7 part one where I I can't remember the word for word I said, but the the end of part one, we were talking about all this [ __ ] and it was like, dude, how cool would it be if they give you the impression that [ __ ] can change? How cool would it be if they give you the idea that [ __ ] could actually not be the same as before now because of obviously one big story event? What if they give you the idea that this could turn into something else, you know? So that we've had this conversation before. That is literally what se part two did. Part two sets up everything about this like changing destiny and doing this and doing that and then it actually doesn't it really doesn't lead in that direction. It builds up a hope that you can do it to steal that hope away from you again and it honestly leads to more confusion than ever. A reminder all of the developers including Namura said they were super nervous about Rebirth. Every single one of them. Blitz, do you remember this [ __ ] I wonder if Subtext was here. You guys remember this [ __ ] At the end of part at the right before Rebirth came out, they started talking about the story and they said they were like super nervous about about like before we knew what would happen about how the players reception was going to be to this. Um, and it seemed like, okay, so you guys know that you're getting into some [ __ ] Like it was it was not just from Namura. It was also like Hamaguchi and like a couple other devs that like they know what they're doing is set setting themsel up for a potential disaster. Why would they be doing that? Just a question. I'm just asking questions if they're completely aware of them setting themselves up for a potential disaster or a thing that is subverting expectations and doing things in a crazy direction. Why would they be publicly talking about that? because there's another goddamn game. Because they know your [ __ ] ass is going to have to wait three to four years for another game for this to eventually make a lick of sense. I mean, and it literally happened. It's actually happened. There is more discourse now than ever because of where we're at. And now we're a month before it happening. And people are just tearing each other apart about everyone's like opinions on this being gospel or you know respect mine respect yours and it's like dude we all don't know like we even the developers are have misdirected us so much that even they don't know the only thing I I kind of know is that nothing is going to line up one to one like nothing and that and I've actually felt that way too where it's like dude what if everything happens the way I think it does I'm like that would kind this suck. I've actually personally felt this. If everything just happens the exact same way, if I have come up to every conclusion in my head how cool this could possibly be, then it's not going to be as cool. It's just not. So, that's my opinion on it. I I do not want all this [ __ ] to line up exactly the way that I think it will. I don't like I want it to be surprising and I don't want it to be surprising in like a Star Wars prequel prequel part two where it's just subverting expectations for the sake of subverting expectations. Like no, no, no. We've subverted expectations plenty already. You know, I think that a lot of people are wanting answers. You know, a lot of people are wanting like things to sort of pay off in some way, things to lead to certain things, you know. So anyway, I think that's where we're at right now, dude. I think that's just like what I'm feeling. I just want to be surprised by [ __ ] Dude, how crazy was it that they opened the trailer with Aith dead? Red 13 is dead. Tifa is dead. Like I was like, god damn. Wow. This shit's crazy. They opened the game with that. It ultimately didn't lead to anything substantial. Like be completely honest, it didn't lead to anything substantial, but like that [ __ ] was crazy. I feel like I just want more crazy [ __ ] I just want more crazy [ __ ] Can you find the video where they said they were nervous? It was not a video. It was in a written interview. Um, it came out about a month before Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth came out. The one I remember specifically was Namura and I think there was one from Hamaguchi as well, but any of the other content creators can like back it up. It was like a written interview where they specifically say they're very nervous about like about the ending of Rebirth, about how the narrative ends and the the the choices they're making because why? Because [ __ ] is going to eventually have to go into a direction, right? They have you're going to have to ask your audience to wait. You're going to have to wait like a long period of time. could have been in a Square Enix blog. It might have been. If you find it, let me know. Like, retweet it to me. Um, so anyway, I mean, I just want I want to recreate all of the cool ass moments. Like, every single thing we've talked about is like how cool the weapon fights are going to be. Like, I I'm not like the story is one thing that I could be disappointed on if they don't take advantage of all these cool moments and things they're setting up. But, [ __ ] this is a whole video game. It's like, why are we deducing the entirety of the thing just to a narrative conversation? Nah, dude. Can we talk about like, can the kinematics of the [ __ ] characters get fixed? Like, when they climb on [ __ ] it's bunk. Like, can we fix that, [ __ ] Like, the story isn't the only thing we need to be talking about here. This isn't the And people like the conversation is that story is the only important thing. And it's like, [ __ ] there are things that were so goddamn good in part two, I don't want them to go away. And there are things that were clearly needing improvement in part two and from part one that I think they should be improved upon. Like, [ __ ] like, I want this to be the ultimate goddamn Final Fantasy 7 game, bro. Like, it's the world map and everything, dude. There's no limits anymore. We need material birth. We need all this [ __ ] Like, I love the previous game, but the dude, the the chains are off now. So why are you swearing at me? You're the man. Chill. Sorry, [ __ ] Um, it wakes people up. Okay. Uh, Takado, thank you. Dankas Jedi. Appreciate it. Part two. Combat is [ __ ] amazing. It's [ __ ] amazing. I can't believe how good the combat is in those games. I can't believe it. It's It's unbelievable. So anyway, I'm into this [ __ ] and I'm not going to have I'm not going to have some some negative naysayers as we're one month away from this [ __ ] try to make me any less excited for it. I'm not I'm we're I'm just not [ __ ] with any side of that community. I'm just not doing it. I'm doing my own thing over here. We got a bunch of other people that are doing our own thing. We agree on [ __ ] We disagree on [ __ ] I had somebody on Twitter come up and tell me that like, "Hey, I saw your theory on uh, you know, on on this stuff about the ending. I don't agree with it and I think it's going to be more like a onetoone sequel." And I'm like, "We just had a conversation. That's crazy. That's crazy. We just had a conversation instead of it being, listen, [ __ ] ass. you your stupid ass [ __ ] face said one thing and I cannot believe you told all your stupid ass [ __ ] face friends and people that watch you that thing and I can't I can't because I don't think it's true and it's like well we're not having a conversation here and I I'm definitely not like I'm definitely not your stupid [ __ ] ass face oh my god dude [ __ ] a we're going to we're going to literally going to know news in a month. Chill, guys. Chill. Just I the the only the only time I feel the need to fight back on this [ __ ] is when people are being hostile dumbass [ __ ] Like I it it's just what the [ __ ] dude? Why pull me into this conversation just because you don't agree with me? It's like, dude, I sorry. I'm sorry. Sorry I don't agree with you. Sorry I have my own opinion on it. Sorry, I back it up by a lot of [ __ ] that's obviously happened in the game. Like I don't know. I played the game. I don't know. Ky, thank you. I think you're right about subverting expectations twice with remakes ending and a rebirth's ending, but I'm sort of tenuous how to tell uh how this swerve will work even just one year after the trilogy is out, considering the spoiler culture. Yeah, you know. Yeah, I had to work my ass off for anti-spoilers in um part one and part two because part one got mega spoiled way ahead of time and part two got spoiled uh pretty far ahead of time. So, I I actually have several precautions I take between um certain types of media blackouts and uh a bunch of [ __ ] including like sub mode and all that kind of stuff that we do. Um and people would just come in and say [ __ ] but you would never remember it because they would get banned immediately and you don't know if it's true or not. Like you have no clue because someone could come in and say like, "Damn, that's crazy. Chadley is the only one that lives in the end." That's crazy that in in in the charred Earth that is the future of Gaia in Final Fantasy 7, the only remaining creature that exists on the planet is Chadley. Wild that that's the ending. Instead of Red 13 and his children, it's Chadley walking up to Midgar and activating the final remnant wave tower thousands of years in the future. Wild ending. [ __ ] crazy ending. Don't watch the last trailer. Do not watch Do not watch the last trailer, bro. I dropped my pen. Bro, stop. Anyway, um this is the last month for us to have fun with this [ __ ] And I I I have completely stopped on the theory crafting stuff, you know, with any with most of the community just in general. Completely stopped. So, uh, I'm just saying that I feel what I do. I'm curious to see if any of it actually happens. If it does, cool. And I I will say historically, it has been crazy to see so much of this reilogy line up with exactly what I wanted. Like it it has been bizarre for these games not to do every single thing that I wanted, but many of the key moments and best parts of it are literally like, dude, this is exactly how I would do this [ __ ] Oh my [ __ ] god. And that that just happened time and time and especially with part two, time and time again. And it's like, how did Max predict all this [ __ ] And I'm like, it just seems obvious to make it the coolest [ __ ] thing possible. And it's like, they're listening to you, bro. They're not. And I think people have a have a an and also like a deeper fear that the things I'm saying are being witnessed, recorded, and documented by higherups like at square or some [ __ ] and literally interpreted into Noima's words and [ __ ] like that. It's like, all right, y'all are off your [ __ ] rocker straight up because the scenario for this game has been done since 2017, my dude. The whole scenario for this [ __ ] has been completed since 2017 before the first game was even out. So, how did we successfully like predict where things are going to go several times over? To me, it just seemed like what they should do. It just seemed like this is kind of where it should go. You know, how do they make this interesting when we all know what's going to [ __ ] happen? Pretty much did that. Oh, Blitz found it. [ __ ] Hold on. Yeah, it's an article from Automaton. Uh, let me look up the word nervous. Found it. Good [ __ ] dude. Um, damn. Blitz and subtext. Couple of the FF7 uh true what's it called? Archavists. Um, and by the way, I'll link this in a second. This is from Automaton. Uh, just want to give a shout out. When playing remake, I felt like building up to a final scene was very powerful. I can't ask much about the ending of Reaper before it's released, but I wonder will there be any twists? Remake, I wanted to make sure players to slightly question, isn't it almost the same as the original and then surprise them with an ending? But with Rebirth, I I honestly cannot imagine what players will be thinking. For example, I set up a direction of the final scene in remake that you asked about, probably the Zach stuff. I can't really talk about it now. So, I'll say that the final scene of the next game, this is years ago, chat, will have a very different impact to the previous one. I'm even more nervous about how people are going to react to some of the things in Rebirth than I was in remake. I would like for you to play it as soon as possible before giving away any spoilers. Even they know that there is going to be a wild [ __ ] storm at the end of this game. Like, even they know now that we have the context of what happens. like they know what they're setting up is going to be deeply like unsatisfying to some people and hit for others. It's going to be like a a whole plethora of white to gray to black. And I I don't know why you would ever do that if it wasn't to set up for an interesting and unexpected conclusion. By the way, Zach is [ __ ] alive. Like, let's just throw that out here. Everyone's like, "It's just a remake." And Zach is literally alive. Like, he's don't know what to tell you. Alive. But I mean, he's got to be around, bro. Like, I don't know. It's pretty crazy. Are we not allowed just to enjoy the ride? Are we not allowed? It just said Zach is alive. Okay. I What? is he not like he's literally he literally did not get killed and then he got cheated by the most powerful GM in uh Final Fantasy 7 history Omniith back to the back to life like holy [ __ ] Anyway, books at screenshot. Pretty sure he didn't get shot. I think he's going to end up dead. Still think he's not going to end up alive anyway. Yeah, I think there's a reason because they're Dude, that that completely did that the the Jesse theory. hit my expectation and also subverted the [ __ ] out of it. Remember what we were saying about that chat? How like this weird time Janie [ __ ] was going to completely mess up what happens with the original timeline and weird things were going to start happening as you move forward. Um, we said that you were probably going to run into Jesse at the Golden Saucer. Like, she's actually alive and she's living a completely different life. Remember that we use the example Cloud is a barista, right? In in the universe where Cloud gets saved by Zack, he just becomes a barista. He's just like a normal guy. Um, in that same universe or whatever the hell happens, what if Jesse lives? And we started talking about this weird butterfly effect thing that happens at the end of part one. And we're like, bro, how crazy would it be if you go to the Golden Saucer and Jesse's not dead? like how you're gonna go there and she's an actress and she's just working in the play because they literally set that up. They literally set up that she wants to be an actress. She wants to work in like music and theater and stuff like that. And it's like, huh, interesting. I wonder why they would be saying this [ __ ] I wonder why. And then you get to part two and no, she's actually big dead, but she is there. She literally is there. Like the whole po point of her like existence is that she was literally like this was her goal. This was her life before she sacrificed herself for the planet. And I'm like damn that subverted my expectations and almost did it in a better way. Holy [ __ ] They actually like literally did what I thought they were going to do but did it in like a twisted way that made me feel even worse. Oh my god. Now you feel even now you feel like more empathy towards the characters and their plates and stuff like that. It's like that's really cool. That's really cool. Would you be unhappy if they do multiple endings? Yes, I would. Um, in the same way that I'd be disappointed if none of this [ __ ] came to a close in a satisfying way and it was just like for the hell of it, just for funsies. Um, no, I'd like it to mean something. I would like the things they're setting up to mean something. I'd be disappointed if it didn't mean something because they've already done things that mean something in part one to part two. I would be pretty disappointed uh if they had multiple endings. I wouldn't say unhappy because it depends on how it's done. Again, we don't know what we want. I'll be real. Like, the reality of the situation, chat, is that nobody actually knows what we want, what you want. You can say what you want, right? I can say what I want. I can make tangible conclusions. I want a jump button. I want this. But when it comes to the actual push and pull, what the next game, what a new experience will provide, the things that will resonate the most with us are the things that we didn't predict. Are the crazy gameplay things that we had no idea they were going to pull off. Are all the insane moments, setups, and buildups that were not present in the original and now done with crazy embellishment in the next game that we did not even predict in some way. That [ __ ] is what gets us. It's when we don't know what's around the next corner. when it's not just following the checklist like, "Oh, that's what I wanted. That's what I wanted. That I don't want that [ __ ] dude." And I, like I said, I literally thought about that and it would be disappointing. It'd be legit disappointing if the next game just did a checklist of like, "So, that fight's going to happen and that fight's going to happen and this fight's going to happen." Bro, chat, what was our prediction of where this entire thing goes at the end of remake? As we were discussing like where this [ __ ] goes and what it means, what was our prediction of the final battle of the entire remake trilogy? Anybody remember? Anybody remember at the end of part one what we said it was going to be? Cloud and Zach fight Sepharro, right? We literally said it. We're like, damn. Is this [ __ ] going to set up for a finale that Cloud and Zach actually team up and fight Sepharro? Holy [ __ ] This is going to be cra That is the craziest ending you can possibly do. What happened? Cloud and Sack fought Sepharoth in the second one. What? So they they're doing things are happening in ways that we think they might, but they're not exactly going down in the ways that we think they should. What the [ __ ] So again, something has subverted our expectations. When that [ __ ] happened in part two, it was like, what the [ __ ] What the what the [ __ ] Now what the [ __ ] So, what the hell's the next game going to do? Like, what the [ __ ] is the next game going to do? They kind of did everything, dude. You fight the you fight the majority of phases at Sephro um of OG Sephro at the end of part two. The majority of them. So, what the [ __ ] are they setting up, dude? Exactly. That's what We're a month away, brother. That's what I'm trying to say. That's why I'm into this [ __ ] We're literally a month away. It isn't just going to be final phase Sephro or something like that and one other one that we missed. No, no, no, dude. There's like one more Sephro phase. Yeah, then like the last one they shown because we saw the majority of Sephro phases at the end of part two. The majority of them. Relax, bro. I'm into this [ __ ] That's the problem. I actually like this [ __ ] This is like my favorite [ __ ] game, dude. Anyway, I um chat, so many years of misrepresentation of characters in goofy Final Fantasy 7 stuff has led me to a point where this is so deeply satisfying for me. Like, you got to understand, dude, I I get why a lot of people [ __ ] with the compilation of FF7 [ __ ] like across the board. But to me it was like varying levels of quality where as a as an FF7 fan it's like yeah I really liked Advent Children to a degree and I really like Crisis Score but from many other things that they tried to connect with us as far as being FF7 stuff in the mid200s. You're allowed to like it. I'm just saying I didn't. I'm just saying that they don't really hit with me. and to see the remake trilogy take elements from that stuff and do it in cool ways completely different portray characters completely different than the way they were portrayed that I just did not like these aren't the characters I remember dude again the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy feels like it knows the characters better than the game did which is insane that they got the characters this right it's insane to me it's the best part of this entire [ __ ] is that the characters are so spot-on. I I love it. I [ __ ] love it. I absolutely [ __ ] love it. I can't believe how good it is. We can use it less chatly though, just just in general. Uh Y1NJ, thank you. Any plans to play Rebirth, hard mode, fight last VR missions? Yeah, dude. By in the next month or so, we're going to have an entire year plus, right? Potentially a year until the next game comes out. So, we'll have plenty of time. And I I fully plan on dedicating a sizable amount of time from the reveal of the next game, wherever it is, if it does show up in a month, to the release of said game whenever the hell that does happen, potentially first quarter of next year, which is what I think. Um, yeah, I we'll just have plenty of time to play [ __ ] everything, dude. Uh, including cool stuff from the old games like New Threat and [ __ ] like that. And also, um, I probably need to 100% Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth at some point. Probably definitely should do that. anyway, this gave me a good opportunity to get all this [ __ ] off my chest because I've been holding it in. There's all these like interviews and devs talking about stuff and I'm like, I'm kind of done talking about this, right? I'm kind of done like having devs like tease us and talk about it's been happening for so long and we're so close that I'm like almost kind of like holding back. They're talking about Knights of the Round and [ __ ] like that and it's like yeah I I yeah everything I see you saying I agree with but we're so close now that this isn't like far away sort of like hopes and dreams and [ __ ] [ __ ] this is a month away we might know this exists. This is a month away. So anyway, yeah. Hi sub, video game Christmas. I hope man. Um, it would be really crazy if just nothing, no Street Fighter trailer, no FF7, no nothing shows up at Summer Games Fest. Dude, it's happened, chat. Okay, we have been really excited for some of these shows and events and [ __ ] No Vega, and they're like, "You got to wait till Tokyo Game Show." Oh. Oh my god. All farming sims or um crazy medieval looking souls likes, you know, the entire goddamn thing. People would riot. I No, this is dude, this has happened. Kingdom Hearts fans have been going through it. They've been rioting every single time. Come on, brother. You have to feel bad for them. They've been going through it, dude. More tools and ground. Kingdom Hearts fans are eternally in hell. Not hell because of what they did. They're in hell because they're never getting what they want. God damn it. Can we celebrate with In-N-Out? Yeah. Yeah. I Damn. We'll have to go somewhere, right? For if at SGF for all the FF7 bros and [ __ ] like that group that was talking last year. Was that last year? Yeah, we got to go out somewhere. Square Enix has a slide that says they have multiple AAA releases before April 1st, 2027. Really? Multiple? Okay, one of those. We have a pretty good idea. Kingdom Hearts would be excited, right? That'd be cool. I just want them to be happy, right? I I don't really don't give a [ __ ] about a Kingdom Hearts 4 for me necessarily. However, if they put a Sephro fight in that [ __ ] it'll be shocking how quickly I pick that up. It'll be shocking how quickly I start playing that game if they bring back the Sephro boss fight. It'd be it'd be surprising. Um, people are like, "Why are you skipping Kingdom Hearts 3?" And I'm like, "Listen, I have my reasons. I just want to play this one. You just want Kingdom Hearts 4 to be difficult. Kingdom 3. I remember Kingdom Hearts 3 being very easy with all the um the ride moves, right? That was at the launch. I think they changed it, but all the big ride moves were so powerful and so long that they just killed everything and it was like this is weird. This is an interesting balance. I don't know if that changed. We ever do the data battles though in FF7 Rebirth. Yeah. No, no, no. We need to go through everything, dude. We actually need to go through everything. Um Oh, it could be a new dragon's quest. Yeah, it could be. Kingdom Hearts isn't going to be completed soon until FF7 trilogy ends. I don't disagree with you, but we said the exact same thing about Final Fantasy 16 and the next part of Final Fantasy 7. We said the exact same [ __ ] dude. Those games launched within eight months of each other. They didn't even wait a year. They launched in the same fiscal a brand new Final Fantasy 16 and also FF7 Rebirth as it was a week after Final Fantasy 16 was out. It was one [ __ ] week that they had a trailer for Rebirth. Like what the hell, dude? It was a choice. It was definitely a choice. That [ __ ] messed me up. It was June to February. That was it. It was like So anyway, all I'm saying is that weirder things have happened. They are so focused on FF7 Trilogy to work on anything else. No, no, no, dude. The um they don't share devs. Uh the FF7 Trilogy team has been the FF7 Trilogy team exclusively for a decade or more. Completely different staff. They're the only ones doing it. Yeah. And they talk that's the only reason why the games are coming out fast because they they don't they don't bounce between projects and have to relearn [ __ ] all over again. No, no, no. They're staying on one thing, releasing all three games. That's why potentially we might get the final part within 3 years, which is what I've been saying for a long time. That's the whole reason they're staying with the squad. That's the reason why Rebirth came out so fast, relatively speaking, that they don't have to hire new people and hire and and teach new people. It just made sense to me. And yeah, I think that's the goal. Yeah, they other teams are working on Final Fantasy 17 right now. Straight up, other teams are FF7 must have the best job security in this industry. Maybe. Maybe. Anyway, um I don't want to hammer on this too long because I can just get stuck here talking about Final Fantasy 7 [ __ ] until the goddamn cows come home. Eventually, chat, this is going to be this is this 2 hours, 3 hours from now, this is going to be me just firing up songs and music and moments from the games and I just remind myself how much I love this [ __ ] And then I just spend the entire goddamn stream doing that. Okay, unfortunately, I haven't beaten Sorrowos yet. I really enjoy it. Resident Evil just got DLC and these [ __ ] asses just announced Aliens Fire Team 2. Um, and there's a trailer for it and I think news and information. So, I have to My content brain says focus, focus. Okay. And this is the issue of me being in the position I'm in. I can't just do one thing. Focus. M. Focus. Um, let me fire up the Aliens uh the Aliens trailer first and foremost. Hold on a second. Stranger Than Heaven. I did check that out yesterday. It was pretty cool. Um, seemed like a pretty good jumping in opportunity. I The only thing that's going to [ __ ] up Stranger Than Heaven like playthrough for me in terms of enjoying it is if it comes out during like a fighting game release or some [ __ ] Like that would not be cool if it comes out in like near Final Fantasy 7 part two or part three. Like that would be rough. That would be very rough, you know. No, I think Stranger of Heaven is likely going to have some sort of thing at the Summer Games Fest. I don't know about VF, though. Uh, it's not looking great, dude. That's all I'm going to say. Uh, Virtual Fighter has gone very dark and s and, uh, Ryoko Studios is kind of focusing on their big game they got right now. And Stranger Than Heaven has a release date. Okay, it like there's a release date for that [ __ ] So, I haven't lost faith in Virtual Fighter. No, I have faith by the time it comes out, it's going to be [ __ ] sick. I think they're spending a lot of time on it so that it is [ __ ] sick. It's just I don't have faith that it is going to be showing up anytime soon. I don't have faith. I I think I think especially based on the tech demo we saw last year, that last year's EVO, it was neat, but it was clearly in progress, you know, clearly in progress. So, you just have to wait. And that's fine. That's fine. That's fine. We got like three big fighting games and I'm enjoying Invincible and all this stuff. I need to jump back and learn uh Terry and Street Fighter. I want to go back and play more Tekken. yada yada yada. DOA at Summer Games Fest. That would be smart if they had it ready. That would be smart. Um VF lurking in the water like Jaws. Don't say that. Don't you dare. Don't you dare. Yeah, that wolf trailer was forever ago. Holy [ __ ] man. We thought they were going to do character trailers from that point forward and they just didn't. And it was like what? Just the one. What? Lord Dominus, thank you. Unscented Hunter. Great name. Thank you. We talked about the new 2X KO fuse. Uh, I think it's cool. I should watch a video on it. What about Avatar? What about it? It's out in a month or it's out in two months. What about it? No. City of the Wolves already got the uh character trailer. It's uh Robert as um it's Robert as Oh god, my brain. Uh Mr. Karate. Yeah, Robert as Mr. Karate, not Rio. Um the last one's Kiniro. Focus M. Oh, there's a Leon. Oh [ __ ] Okay, hold on. Focus M. You got things to check out. Aliens fire team. Uh, that [ __ ] froze again. That [ __ ] froze again. That's been happening multiple times. [ __ ] froze. I might have to fix that after. I did buy something. Can I show you guys what I bought? Go big or go home. Here's what I bought. Um, just to see if that is something with the the splitter or something like that. There's what I bought. I had to get this from B&H. It's the AV Pro uh HDMI amplifier up to 8K. Uh, big boy. This isn't just like a $30 splitter. This is a big industrial [ __ ] that it's like Yeah. Yeah. So, if something's going to carry a signal at like 4K 120 fps or something like that at HDMI 2.1, it's going to be this $3,000 splitter. No, no, no. It's more like uh it was like 300. So, um yeah. Yeah. I'm looking forward to using it. I definitely am, [ __ ] Full control over HTCP and EDID here. Yeah. Wow. Very nice smell test. Shouldn't have done that. Anyway, looking forward to it. It's actually got an interface. [ __ ] dude. Okay, taste test. Pushed your luck too far. I might I might install that right after this. I might just plug it in. Um, hold on. Chat says, "Fucking lick it, Chad. I'm not going to lick it like it's an extremely delicious Switch one cart." Okay. Don't make me try. okay. Here we go. Uh, honestly, one of my most anticipated games. Yeah, we've been looking forward to this for a long time. Aliens Fire Team 1. The three-player experience I had with Kenny and um, Simmons was just wonderful. I get it, that game wasn't as good as a single player experience. Hopefully that's alleviated a little bit with Fire Team Elite 2, but for those that might have missed the YouTube video or the streams that we put up a few years back. Um, maybe one of my favorite Aliens games, like outside of like Alien Isolation, legit it was just as a co-op experience so good. the progression, the weapon progression, the stat building, you know, all the all the cool like breach branching paths that you had to build for each class and stuff like that. It was really neat to like make a crazy build blasting aliens and stuff like that. And the DLC was awesome. Like the DLC was legit mad fun. So yeah, um I'm pretty excited. I want to see more. If anyone is listening, this is Dr. Lily Pierce on planet LV558 in Stores Boon. Zinga wolves have overrun the colony. I repeat, overrun the colony. We're running out of air and people are dying. Send the Marines. Oh, yes. Contact. Three players. What? There was four in the future picture. Oh, they're attracted to flares. They're everywhere. Those guys are just shooting. Not a lot of coordination. Is this the fourth player or is it literally like Hicks or some [ __ ] No, it's player four. Hell yeah. Sorry I'm late. Hell yeah. They know we bitched about four player, dude. Everybody bitched about four players. Yeah. Yeah. Damn. It really looks like the original a bit. It just looks more like it looks like more aliens fire team. I'm seeing some weird [ __ ] though. Hell yeah, brother. What the hell was that? Like a plasma caster on that dude's shoulder. Robots now. Even not androids, but like robots. The damn spitters, dude. Yeah, I'm feeling good. I'm I'm feeling it. It It really doesn't look like mindblowing where it's like, "Oh god, I cannot." It looks like more of what you liked a lot from part one, you know? Hey, part one worked out pretty well. Let's just let's just go with it, you know? Which is fine. That's completely fine. Um, I kind of just wanted more part one. Aliens Fire Team. Oh, that's for first game. The first game. You expect the visuals to be a bit better? Yeah. I'm curious what it's going to look like when it eventually drops, you know? Oh, that's very soon. Oh, summer 2026, [ __ ] Is this going to drop out like right when Star Fox happens or something? Oh. Um, damn. Okay. Is there any other info? Did they release like a website or some [ __ ] Um, who the hell is this guy? Uh, hold on a second. Um, who was that dude? Aliens Fire Team Elite 2 13 hours ago uh field trailer. I need to stage history. There's not much on here, but there is some on the IGN page. Um Cold Iron Studios, God bless him. Daybreak is publishing. Um this came out in 2021. Oh my god, chat. That was 38 years ago. Now, the most obvious new change you'll see in the trailer above is the addition of four players to the xenomorph blasting action. There's some plenty more to tell you about it and show you. Aliens team 2 on our IGN first editorial. Cool. On the month of May. All right. All right. All right. All that will roll out exclusively over time in the next couple of weeks. Oh, okay. So, they'll be back with a bunch of information on the game. A few details now. Um, full crossplay. Hell yeah. And there is a new xenomorph type improved player classes as well as the specialist. Um a fully customizable class that lets you mix and match abilities from any class. That's like literally a Call of Duty specialist. Holy [ __ ] Like actually a Call of Duty specialist. Um Fire Team Elite 2 will also launch with horde mode with dedicated horde maps. Even a throw ever larger more interesting. Right. All right, I'm trying to remember what happened in part one. I think that was a limitation. I think there was like some story locked [ __ ] in part one where you had to play through parts of the game in order to get some of the extra multiplayer stuff unlocked. And now I think they're trying to say that it's just available from the start. I can't remember. It's been five years. Um anyway, cool. Cool. I want to see screenshots. Cool. Hey, why does that robot have a gun? What the hell? Yeah, it doesn't look visually like that crazy different from the first one. I wouldn't be surprised if it looks better by the time it gets on our hands and stuff like that. The recon class was unlocked by beating it and more added for free. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because they they they did expand the game a bit. It didn't get that much support. It got like sixish months of support, but that was about it. Um, anyway, cool. Very cool. I hope I hope they show something at Summer Games Fest, dude. If they've showed this if they showed this here a month before SGF, I hope there's an opportunity for them to actually be there and we can play it. I really hope so. Cool. Yo, co-op doesn't lock out modders again. Was that a thing that happened? I don't I did not know. I know. Imagine they shadow drop DLC for R9 at Summer Games Fest like they did with the mini game. Like this one. Oh, this is the mini game. Oh. this isn't mercenaries mode, right? Oh god, I need some freaking coffee. This isn't mercenaries mode, is it, chat? It's something else. They announced the free DLC will be dropping in May. Yeah, that's like that's like now. It's a rog like light. Rog light light. Interesting. Okay. Okay. Not see if there's a trailer. There was an R7. Well, that was Ethan must die, right? There was Ethan must die. I get you. Welcome back to the stage of history. I'll keep our friends busy. So dark. Let's make this quick. Oh, this is mad cool. It is timebased like Merk's mode. Interesting. That's interesting. It's almost like no return from Last of Us Part Two. I did play Last of Us Part Two. I played Last of Us. Sorry. is that a free update? I mean, yeah, I think it is. Anything else happened today, chat? Anything else I have to be upset about? Just Leon mercenaries? Sort of. Kind of. I mean, maybe. Yo, CIT, thanks for the 12 months, dude. There's always more to be upset about. People so upset. Sorry. Star Fox. Let's talk about more stuff that people are upset about. Yeah. Here. Hold on a second. Let's talk about all of the uh Star Fox discourse. I believe you're on the wrong channel. It's the one around the corner. It's um It's the other one. Oh, 2x KO fuse. Yeah, hold on a second. That's that other one. Hold on. I got to get this [ __ ] up and running. Oh no, I had already framework on here for something. It was up there for the path tracing mod. Yeah, some visuals. Oh, that's right. We had the crazy ass lighting mod. Does that even work anymore? Damn. Well, all signs point to no I have to take out uh what is it? Which RE framework files is it chat? Excellent timing as always, sir. Bravo, sir. Yeah, Pragmat sold 2 million. They deserve it in in like two weeks. That's crazy. Um unless re Let me just get rid of Dput DLL. Yeah. I'll read that in a second. Shadow, thank you. D input 8 DLL. Yeah. Did you beat the game on PC? Yes. Okay. I can always restore that if need be. Um, Shadow Mate, thanks for the 20. The Saka gameplay trailer came out a few days ago. Xbox updates making me more happy. Is there a non- gamer who knows what they're doing? Plus, no promised AI stuff. Yeah, I heard them moving away from co-pilot and [ __ ] and it's like, well, thank God. Um, Cloud, thanks for the five. Do you think Monster or Wilds expansion trailer will be at Summer Games Fest? Yes, probably. Bometa, thanks for the five. My crackhead theory is that we'll get a new Darkstalkers this SGF announced for October. It'll happen, right guys? I agree. Hey, man. I think it would be cool. It's just being realistic. Thank you, Shadow. Um, it's weird. The Saka gameplay trailer came out, but we saw a whole bunch of them, right? Did I see the MK2 movie? I did. Yes, I was at the premiere for it. I thought it was better than the first No NBC4 hopes. Not with Tokon on the way, dude. Hell no. I still in the 4090. Yes. My kids love your channel. Thank you. Um, and I'm sorry I'm unfiltered. I'm sorry. Used to a bunch of 30 to 40 year olds watching. Welcome back to the stage of history that they have special popcorn buckets. No, no, no, no. It was at the uh the Chinese man or not even it's what's it called? The TLC Chinese now. It's so weird. Um, it's not even the Growman's anymore, dude. Uh yeah, we went there and uh thanks to the WB guys, like all the actors were there. Kenny and Jessica and Simmons got pictures with um Oh god, my brain with Johnny Cage. What the hell? The Chinese Man. Mn chat. Jesus Christ. Carl Urban. It's the Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. It used to be called the Chinese Man. Then it was called the Groundman's Chinese. And now it's like the TLC TCL. What the [ __ ] Um, sure. What the [ __ ] You dumb You stupid [ __ ] The TLC theater. God, I have to now prove you guys wrong. If I get a chance to prove my chat wrong, I'm going to stop everything I'm doing. Listen, if I get the chance to prove the chat wrong, Jessica's like, "Let's go get a picture." And Kenny was like trying to bug me and his girlfriend Danny and we're like, "No, we're good." So, they ran over there as he was getting up and they went and grabbed a picture. Yeah. Now, this happened. They were We were actually back with most of the actors and the the the production folks and not like in the the heavy fan side. So, we just got to hang out. Kenny got pictures with everybody. Jesus Christ. Everybody was there. I think they were all supporting uh Carl's movie. Um anyway, it was better than the first one. So, what I would say is if you really liked the first one, if you really dug Mortal Kombat 2021, you'll like the second one probably much more. That's a low bar. I mean, it's not going to if you didn't vibe with the first one that much, it's not going to change much of your opinion. It's not um It's also going to It's not Mortal Kombat 95. Did I run into Super there? No. Was Super there? I did get to talk to Ed and John Tobias of all people. John was there was there with his kid and uh his kid is a full adult. Um I got to talk to him about his like artwork and stuff like that. So yeah. MK95 is very good. That movie is still very good. They kill Cole off. You would have to go watch the movie, bro. I like the Cole wedding scene. I thought it was really good. That That was the end of it when Cole marries Sonia. I thought that was my favorite part. No spoilers, though. no, no, stop spoiling [ __ ] chat. Uh, I think we're okay. Is my [ __ ] ass path traced? I don't know if I want that right now. yeah, we're on path tracing at the moment. Okay, so we're at 2K path tracing. Is it one of those it's so bad it's good for some people? Maybe. I think they were very nice to invite us out to that event. The event was lovely. It was a wonderful premiere. I got to run into so many people and talk to devs and Ed and stuff like that. I haven't seen him in so long. It was very cool. I had a wonderful time at that premiere. Anyway, um I think I'm good, right? I think I'm good. Hold on a second. Before we start this, I want to check out that 2x KO thing. Hold on. The tuko thing. Angel, thank you. Uh Rashi McNeer, Subway Slammer Solos, uh Slaith, also Angel Misa, thanks for the 10. Hope all is well. going to be competing in your first uh tournament this weekend for Invincible Versus, which has me very nervous. You have any advice or hints you can give her as a first-time? Thanks for being you. Um, just know that if it's a first timer, don't have high expectations of yourself. Just go there to have fun. Go there to have fun. Don't don't try to, you know, um, put yourself in a point of pressure. Just go there just to feel like what competition's like. You know, you'll find out that when you when you play a game in a competitive environment, how everything changes. Like the way you the way you look at things completely changes when it's in a competitive environment. If you've never done it before, it's pretty it's a pretty interesting experience. Um, hold on, hold on, hold on. Tuko, let's see this new duos feature. So, it's a new fuse, right? Brand new fuse. Wow, it's crazy. And it lasts about as long as the soul play team fight. Wait, so what is team fight? Ah, glad you asked. So, team fight. It's a new fuse coming to 2x KO that allows you and your partner to beat on the opponent simultaneously for 7 seconds. The way it works that both you and your partner need one super bar each and then you press the team button and any normal attack button to activate and go wild. So, I know those of you out there are asking why team fight as a fuse once per round. You've all shown us that 2x KO is best played as a duo. So, we wanted to add a fuse that really leans into duo play. Team Fight is great for any duos who really want to explore their uh duo synergy, but also great for duos who just want to improvise and go crazy. You already know, the people tuning in probably have some questions about this fuse. Can I play this as a solo? Yeah, so solos can use team fight. You're just controlling both champions at once. If you want to only control the point champion, you can hold the team button down. When I'm in team fight, what changes? you have access to pretty much everything, but because you have both champions on focused disabled team action. So things like tag launcher, assist, break. Um, we also have bolts disabled for the team fighters. Sounds pretty fair, but at the same time actually sounds like it might be a lot to defend against. What are my options as a defender to fight against this thing? First things first, any successful hits that you land will deplete the team fight timer and any successful ults that you land will end team fight immediately. You can always just fight back and, you know, catch them a happy birthday. In addition to that, team fighters, the assist character only hits mid, so team fighters will have to be a bit more creative in their offense. Well, thanks, Clock. Thanks for the information there. We have team fights coming to 2x. Wait, wait, wait, Peter. What if I don't have a duo partner? I'm just asking for a friend. They only clock. I thought you were Mr. Popular. Luckily for you, we have awesome new features coming to 2x KO. We have find a duo and voice chat. So, you'll be able to go into the 2x client, find another person who's also looking for a duo at the same time. And then once you are paired up, you'll be able to access voice chat, and y'all can work on your team fight strategies in real time. Hello, new duo partner. Wow, we have in-game voice chat now. All of this drops next week in season 2 along with a new battle pass and ranked reset. So, grab a duo. Shocking optimistic like never before that people will behave that way. It is shockingly optimistic. Damn, bro. These guys really do love NBCI. That's all I got to say. These guys really do love NBCI. Really? They know. They know. No kidding. Our lead MVC dev. No kidding. That's what That's what I'm getting out of this. There's so so many MVCI things in uh 2X KO all over the place, you know. Um it looks fun. It does look very fun. Mind you, Guilty Gear used to go. No, it's like Soul Stone or NBC1. It's closer to Soul Stone. You know, the overlapping of characters. anyway, the reason it isn't like MVC1 is because number one, you can do it multiple times in MVC1. Like, if if you had two bars, you can just you could do it like three times in in a in a game, dude. Uh, and in this it's specifically attached to a stone, aka a fuse, which lets you do it a very limited period of time for only a specific limitation within this activation. Like they know that you're going to do it. You can't just do it all the time. The activation animation is jank. What? I think it looks fine. I think it looks fine. Looks fine. It cost one bar for both characters. No, it just is the fuse activation, right? It does cost a Wow, it's very expensive. Damn, a bar on both characters. Wow. And it activates the fuse. And it's a very limited period of time. Bro, I almost Hey guys, you just Isn't this literally what you modded into NBC? No. No. NBCI naturally had this, right? NBCI had soul stone. So, this was already in the game. We just worked upon the the the systems and tools that were already present in the game. We turned it into an entire mode where you go blitz creek ham on each other without activating. It's just always there, you know. So, you just are you start with two characters and you fight two characters and you just smash against each other's faces with supers and stuff like that. It's very fun. Yeah. Street Fighter Cross Tekken Scramble Mode which was exclusively in the PlayStation 3 version which was very funny. Now, NBCI, yeah, NBCI, you get [ __ ] up by things. Um, and they turned everything into mids, so you can't get overheaded. Um, that was the issue in Toon in the beta is you just got lowerheaded by everything and you couldn't push block that well, so you just got eat [ __ ] on constantly. It looks cool. Does look cool. It's neat to see that they're still developing like gameplay things for it, you know? Yeah. I call low overhead unblockables low overheads cuz they're not actually unblockable most of the time. They if you if you ask a computer to block a low overhead mix that hits a low and an overhead at the same time, the computer will block it. They they will block it. The the issue is is that successfully successfully like fuzzying from the low block to the high block is rough. Yeah. Hard to blockable. Yeah. Yeah. That's a better way of describing it. It's the same [ __ ] Uh it'll take a while. Um I might go get some coffee before we start this. What are we getting into? Bonuses. It's been a while since I played this, too. Since it came out, do I not? You need to beat the game to play it. Yeah, I was like, did I beat this on PlayStation or some [ __ ] I didn't beat it on PC. That is literally insanity. Wait, I didn't beat it on PC. We modded it. Holy dick. Yeah, but I also downloaded a completed save. Would that would that have mattered? I think I did download it. Dude, look. Look, look. Check the goddamn PS5 version. I cheated. Hell yes I did. Cuz I wanted to play Insanity on the PC version. Um cuz we beat it on console, but I didn't want to play through the whole normal mode Damn, it wasn't. Let me go check bonus again. Hold on a second. Special content. No, concept art models. Behind the scenes, brace challenges settings. No, dude. It's not there. Um, hold on a second. Do I still have this on this system or did I have to make room? I think I recently had to make room. Oh my god. Oh my god. God damn it. tough break. Now we're playing it. That'll download fast. We're playing it, Miss Sorrowos. Me, too. Um, why'd you play this on PS5, by the way? I don't remember. I don't remember. Why did I play it on PS5? Oh, because of the Pisser 2. That's right. This game was pisser 2 enhanced. One sec. I'm get I'm going to get my coffee. I'm just setting you guys up for disaster. I don't think I I don't think I've actually played Leon B or Claire B since maybe get some coffee back. Am I a speedrunner? Sure. I'm the best speedrunner on Twitch, which is a first time speedrunner, meaning that I go into games with no information or knowledge, and I beat them faster than anyone ever had. This is Leon going in through the back door, which is what he's the best at. Man, Leon's first day on the job. He's ready to start killing people, man. Jesus, Leon, don't shoot. I'm surprised he didn't just start unloading immediately. Okay, so Leon got attacked by his brother, Lohen. And there goes Lohan. Rest in peace. Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna lure this guy. I'm going to show him the goods. Give him the rear. I'm gonna swoop around. There's your Dark Souls moment. Chat room. Hey, lady. This This [ __ ] is Wow, she's into me. Holy [ __ ] Well, that gun is doing exactly what that does. Whoa, that is some bad [ __ ] luck. That Could not have possibly gone any worse. That's a shitload of dirty chickens. 3 2 1 Oh, there's so many birds. There's so many [ __ ] birds. Look it. I took out a couple. No [ __ ] birds. The [ __ ] out of here. What a loser. He died to birds, idiot. They reach into his dick, pull out 15 bullets. Slightly aroused. Just ever so slightly, though. Oh, I don't want to see up this guy's butt. Oh, [ __ ] Is this happening already? When I first played Resident Evil 2, I didn't realize that Leon B was actually a different campaign. So, when I was younger and I fired up the B campaign and I was like, "Wait a minute, you started a different area. Wait a minute. Who the [ __ ] is this crazy guy? So, it was like a genuine moment of like, what the [ __ ] is going on? And then, you know, things happen. Oh, Jesus Christ. Okay, he's really close to me. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I thought he bust through the wall. What the [ __ ] He's just chilling in the hallway. Oh yeah, [ __ ] Leon, look at you [ __ ] walking all over this guy. doing a great job here. Oh, what the [ __ ] Offcreen horseshit. All right, Leon, we're doing fine. Wait a minute. Bad memories, I guess. The [ __ ] liquors. Don't give two shits about your shotguns. Oh god. Oh god. Do your 180, Leon, cuz there's no there's no reverse back turn in this game. There's no back be to 90°. I didn't mean I didn't mean for that to rhyme. I'm really sorry. This is really tasty. It's cuz you're drinking it like a Pepsi commercial. What the [ __ ] is that guy? Somebody lied. Somebody in the chat told me that if you don't make that if you don't make that noise, they don't come after you. Liar. Oh, if they sit up, they can hear you. So, don't move until they crouch back down. Okay. All right. All right. I'm going to test this strategy.…
