And luckily, it's working. Um, for those of you that don't know, I came back home last night and my computer was just off and I'm like, "Huh, interesting." Um, that's interesting. So, I'm like, "This could be this from someone that has gone through plenty of tech issues like this in the past, this could be one of two things. Even if Windows forced an update, it would post, right? It would at least post. Um, my [ __ ] ass wasn't even posting, right? And those that don't know what that means, like, does it even get you into the motherboard screen to tell you that there's an issue? It didn't even do that. So, the only thing that was doing was the back of my computer, the motherboard lights were lighting up. The the the BIOS reset light, the CMOS light, they were lighting up. And I'm like, "Okay, so there is power getting back there, but I can't get any of the any of the fans to turn on. Like nothing. It would just be completely dead." So, I like tried plugging into everything. At that point, it's like, all right, that's not a Windows update. I've I've had that happen to me before. I've had a Windows update destroy my computer. That has happened to me before. Um, but if I can't get anything to show up, it's either number one, the power supply, or number two, the motherboard. Um, the chance of the CPU just suddenly going bad, pretty pretty unlikely. Like that's pretty unlikely. Dead 9800 X3D. Not even. I know those things get a lot of boosted power and stuff um to for there to be a small chance of failure, but I don't even have that, dude. I have the mega power efficient 7800 X3D before, you know, they started cranking them with wattage. So, I'm like, yeah, mine is pretty good. That's that would be weird. So, at that point, it's like in my brain one or two things. It's either the power supply or something died on the motherboard, which has also happened to me before. That has happened. Motherboard just goes bad. Chat, as a heads up, like I had a weird thing in my office where I'm not kidding you, like my main computer was running at onetenth the uh the upstream and downstream on the internet. I was like, what the hell is going on? And I would test my other computer and my network and something else and Wi-Fi. They're fine. I'm like, what the hell is going on? This is how weird things can be with just tech. Um, guess what that ended up being for some reason? The Cat 5 cable. Just the cable. What went bad? Like the copper cable just went bad. So I just pulled another cable, plugged it in, done. Immediately fine. I was like, I've literally How do you figure that out? Well, how do you figure that out? Number one, you do everything else, right? I do everything else. I check the connection to see if a Windows update changed something. I do I do everything else. And I was noting noticing like when I was downloading on um Steam like, "Wow, this is really slow." I I got like a heads up from that. So, I tested everything else and everything else on my network was fine. So, at that point, I'm like, "What is unique on this computer?" The cable. Swapped the cable. Fine. Was it an ancient cable? Not really. I think I bought them at the same time as the one that's working good now. So, also I have literally had HDMI cables go bad. Like, yeah, I try to solve everything. What's going on? Turned out to be the freaking HDMI cable. And it's not even like a long one cuz for those of you that don't know, longer HDMI cables are more prone to trouble. The data throughput as it as it travels a longer distance needs literally boosters so that it can produce like the right FPS and the right any of that kind of stuff. How hot is my room? Not hot. not not hot, dude. So, yeah, I had like a six foot HDMI cable just go bad. And I'm like, huh, that's weird. So, anyway, yeah, I bring it to like a Geek Squad and I'm just like, just let me know what's wrong with it. Like, don't fix it. Just let me know what's wrong with it cuz I'll know immediately. I'm like, I think it's the power supply. And I was praying to God it wasn't the motherboard because for anybody that's anybody if you've ever had a computer chat and something bad happens to the motherboard, dude, it's over. Like you can salvage some pieces. You can take out the GPU. You can take out the uh the RAM, right? But you might as well just start over. Might as well start a new rig. Like just go get a new case. Uh if unless you want to put it all together yourself. It's like time. Well, we just need to get a new computer at this point. really sucks. So yeah, the motherboard's literally the spine and the nervous system. If that goes, you have big problems. Um, so I was like, please, dear God, this this this rig is not even like 2 years old. Like, what the hell's going on? Um, anyway, it was the power supply. And if any if anybody ever has a computer issue like this where your computer is like turning off or acting weird um or just won't boot up at all. Uh yeah, it's likely the power supply. And the good news is about the power supply. If you go to get if you go to like a Best Buy or some [ __ ] and you just want to get that [ __ ] replaced, it's mad cheap, dude. It's it's literally 40 bucks for a PSU replacer if you don't want to do it yourself and scratch up your hands. Um, and then PSUs are like $100. They're not even expensive. I I had a gold 80 in the previous one and it blew. So, I got another gold 80 because I have to, right? I have to. So, anyway, uh, that's where I'm at. They just replaced the power supply for mad cheap and we were done. You know, a bad the a PSU is literally the cheapest thing that could go out on your system. How old is the broken PSU? Like a couple years. It was only a couple years old. 1000 watt. Yes, 1000 watt. So, um, anyway, weird. That's the fastest I've ever had a PSU just go out, but they can just go out sometimes. Like stuff can just happen. They I I think what was it like PSUs can have on average like a five to something percentage defective rate, you know? like they're relatively high because of because of like voltage current and weird [ __ ] like that. Um, or it could be like my computer that I have downstairs from I'm not even kidding you. It it has a 1080 a GTX 1080 in it from the year 2010 or some [ __ ] I played Fantasy Star Online 2 on that computer downstairs and I'm not kidding you, dude. Everything in it just still [ __ ] works. the spinning hard drives. It doesn't even This was pre-SSDS type [ __ ] Like that computer downstairs just goes like zero problems, man. So, it's like, yeah, this just happens sometimes. Sometimes you just get like you just get a bad roll. So, PSUs can be more reliable than boards these days. I hope I hope I just got a one and a one one case scenario. Things just went weird, you know? You had PSU where the bearings went out and started rattling. Yeah, that kind of [ __ ] can happen. That kind of [ __ ] can happen. Anyway, why is every modern hardware so slow? Uh, no. It's not the hardware. It's the operating system, bro. Windows 11 just sucks a dick. It just sucks a dick. In fact, I was having to log into my old computers to do stuff. Um, I have a Windows 10 machine. And I just I'm like, let me just log into the Windows 7 machine because I still have a Windows 7 machine. Um, [ __ ] Jesus, dude. Windows 7 is crazy. Like even compared to my Windows 10 machine, which is really fast, right? I got like a quad core Windows 7 2015 like right around that time frame. It was right when I first started streaming. Um, bro, it just cooks. It's so weird. It's weird. Granted, I fire up Chrome and everything's messed up because it's like it's like old now, but me just doing anything in the operating system, it just goes. It's so weird. How many PCs do I have in storage? I have two. Uh I have two cuz they're they pretty much acted like backup editing rigs. I pretty much made MVCI on the machine that I have like right on screen right over here. Um I I needed a GPU for it um from when I was working with NZXT. I needed a GPU for it. So I just went to the closet and I was like, do I have any GPUs still in the closet? I I need to have this as a development machine, you know? Um, so I went in there and I pulled out I'm like, "What is this? This is a GTX 1080 Ti and I was like, "Huh, I wonder if this could run any like kind of modern games." I wondered that GPU is [ __ ] nuts, dude. That GPU is [ __ ] nuts. It just ran [ __ ] good. I was like, "Wow, why is this still ripping?" Like, I can run anything at 1080p 60. Like, almost anything, bro. Like Jesus, dude. What is that crazy ass truck that refuses to die, chat? What's that crazy ass Toyota Hilix? The GTX 1080 Ti is the Toyota Hilix of the GPU world. It just will not die. It'll run anything. It'll run without oil. It'll run without gas. Like, it just keeps cooking. Like, it's crazy. Like, I feel like so many people are like, even nowadays, I'm like, "My 1080 Ti is still doing pretty good. I'm thinking about upgrading and people are like don't don't you'll just run into problems and I'm like really holy [ __ ] man. So either way had like a little computer runaround. Uh I'm very lucky that it was an easy fix. It was a it was a very very easy fix. Yeah, in mo in both of my machines right now, my main machines, I run 4090s. Um I run 4090s, but I might be upgrading my streaming computer to uh I might be upgrading the streaming computer to the 5090. We'll see. We'll see. I have the 5090. I don't use it. It gave me too many problems. There was too many weird compatibility things over the span of time I used it. So, I just had to stop, man. Um, it just died. No, it's completely fine. It just gave me like way too many issues over the period of time that I used it for like a year. Like, and the biggest one was like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for me was just running weird. So, I just stuck the 4090 back in and everything just started running normal again. What do I use a 5090 or 4090? I don't I mean, I'm sure things get better and better with Nvidia drivers and updates, don't get me wrong. Um, they did and they were things were getting better, but still like I was running into some funky things every once in a while where it's like, what's going on? Like, what the hell? What the hell's going on? Either way, we out here. I'm back on computing. Um, there's a [ __ ] ton of news, chat. Uh, for those of you that don't know, the main goal of tonight's stream is that we're having our Super Mario World stream. Uh, similar to Super Mario 64. I never played Super Mario 64 in full. Um, like myself, just sitting down with the game. Never played that before. Uh, I've played it like with friends in a room but not paying attention to what I'm doing. So, that was a joyous game. Like Mario 64, I couldn't believe in 2023 how good controlling that game was outside of the camera. The camera was like controlling a second character. But the way Mario moved in that game kind of blew my mind. This is like first era 3D Mario in platforming, right? Like first. So, yesesh. Uh, I I was very impressed by it. I was kind of like blown away. Um, I've beaten Mario 1. I've beaten Mario 3. I haven't beaten Mario 2, but um, I have beaten Super Mario Brothers 3, and that was a big game back when it came out, uh, which was wonderful. Just arguably one of the best NES games. However, I did not early adopt into a Super Nintendo. I did not end up getting my Super Nintendo until around Killer Instinct. So, that's way later. We're talking like 1995. Um, pretty much all of my rich friends are the ones that had um, SNES's. And I was um, I didn't say I told them like I don't give a [ __ ] Even though like watching them play games like Mega Man X and Donkey Kong Country and playing Street Fighter 2, I was like, "Oh." But I had a Genesis, you know, and it was it was good, but I definitely felt like, oh, like uh it was definitely around that era, that time cuz my Genesis was much cheaper. Genesis was super discounted in the US, and the Genesis had some good [ __ ] and definitely had some good [ __ ] But I did learn how to play Super Street Fighter 2 on a Genesis pad, which was a nightmare, an actual nightmare. But by the time Killer Instinct came out, I was like fully committed. I had sold my Genesis. Um, I had gotten a copy of SF2 Turbo. I was ready for KI. Uh yeah, I was playing games like Star Fox and all that kind of [ __ ] So yeah, I was a late adopter for the Super Nintendo. So the weird thing about it is that I look at a game like Super Mario World and it's still kind of one of those weird unknown games to me where like everybody was into this, but in this era, in this time frame, I was just doing other [ __ ] I was like playing other stuff, you know, and hyperfocused on like fighting games and things like that. So, this is um at least in a one-on-one really get to experience it and like look at it and play it and all that kind of [ __ ] When are you going to play Zelda? I have good news for you. I have wonderful news for you. Um hold on a second. I have wonderful news for you. We did this uh a couple of years ago now. Max plays The Legend of Zelda for the first time completely blind. Let's play moneymaking game. All right, the middle. What? I already lost 10. What? Let's play money making game. I want plus 50. And the only thing I had in this adventure um were down here. You could probably not see it. Down here were my lifelines. I can call three friends that I would know that would have information or I can refer to like the um the actual book in the game. Right. Like I really Street Fighter 2010 next. Man, you should definitely Google Before You Frugal. This is my entire playthrough of Street Fighter 2010 featuring Ken. This is me playing. Tokon got much closer to DBFZ, um, but even less degenerate in its latest form. So yeah, if you if you like DBFC, you'll love to now. This doesn't play anything like it. This plays much closer to like old school 1 v one guilty gear. Nobody using the alpha counters. Excited to play this. I'm excited for more people to try it. You know what's what's really great about Avatar is that it also is naturally mashy. And that's not a bad thing. You should be able to mash buttons and see cool [ __ ] happen. You should. It should it just shouldn't be good. Um the neat part is that Avatar is supported in that way. like it they are thinking about the average level player as well as the high level player. They're thinking that we just need to make a really fun game. So there it's got Mashy all over the place. It's definitely Mashable. I want to see I want to read this thing, dude. Her movements become smoother with many her of her special abilities leaving behind oil traps that can be ignited with the flick of her wrist. She also gains access to grounded fireball, giving her strong space control. This is the Azoula of deceit, control, and composure. and poised future ruler of the Fire Nation. In Fire Lord mode, she abandons restraint and fully embraces chaos. Traps are replaced with raw power as her This is This is what she turns into when she like finally fights um when she finally fights her brother. Like in the finality of the show, she goes crazy, sets ship towards the Relentless Offense. Her attacks grow significantly more powerful, her movements become more erratic, and several of her abilities transform entirely. For example, her standard fireball moves evolve to a towering wall of flame that slowly advances across the battlefield, forcing opponents to face it head-on. Really? not every fighter relies on bending, however. Saka stands out of the roster as one of the few characters who hold his own. Without it, a core member of Team Avatar, aka the gang. He hails from the Southern Water Tribe alongside his sisterqatara. Oh, we're finding more about uh Saka. Interesting. I want to know. I want to see more on this wild ass Azula [ __ ] That's what like do you control it or chat? This is not This game is made by KI devs. Everyone's like, "This sounds so like revolutionary. This is insane. I can't believe it." Like my dude, this character literally exists already. Okay, this game's literally made by KI devs in the background. This character exists. It's Idol. The whole point of Idol is that he's two characters in one and he randomly flips between an attack side of his split head and a magic side. Okay. and he can't control it. It happens at random. He can punch ahead and get a chance of getting it to go over. But the whole point is that like he has a base move set and all of his specials completely change depending on which form he takes randomly in the fight. So you'll change heads mid combo and [ __ ] as you are playing as this character. And this sounds really similar to maybe how Azula is. I'm curious if she is going to change up her personality type by a stance or something like that. Yeah, Tira is also kind of like this in Soulcalibur, right? Also kind of like this. Original Idol was not that at all. They made Idol actually interesting. Um, in fact, he's one of my favorite characters to play in in KI. It's just that he takes a while to get good with. I'm really curious, right? The the cool different poses, all the extra animations. This is very cool, man. This is very cool. Um, Saka is I'm guessing he's a run character because I'm seeing too much running. He's a sarcastic strategist of Team Avatar, relying on creativity, human, and improvisation instead of the power of the elements to reflect that eccentric personality. Saka plays very differently from the rest of the cast. He can cancel many of his normals directly into powerful flow options, allowing players to constantly reposition and keep opponents guessing. The trade-off, Saka cannot chain his normals into C attacks like the other fighters. weird. Meaning players must rely on mobility, timing, and creativity to stay ahead. Wow. Okay. Okay. There's a lot he can't do. Interesting. It feels like they're they really don't want any of the characters to feel homogeneous, you know, like everybody everybody's combo routes felt very different, you know, like if you wanted to do anything even like like basic B&B in any way, that's way different on Kora. That is way different on a that was way different on um on to from what I played so far. So that's cool. That is pretty neat that you'll have to like figure out what you got to do with these ones. They're going to play different from everybody else. Everyone's got flow, but the flow doesn't work the same as everybody else, you know. Um, Blaze Blue Calamity. Yes, that is uh historically speaking, chat, this this all and in KI as well, cuz the characters play all way different. Um, this is a Guilty Gear thing, right? We have to give credit where credit is due. If we want to go back to like the game that really made like why is every character playing a different game? That goes all the way back to like the Guilty Gear series. um early Guilty Gear. His arsenal includes a club, meteorite sword, and trusty boomerang. Instead of straightforward offense, Saka thrives on tricky movement, unexpected positioning attacks that'll force opponents into constantly adapt. And with clever tricks, unpredictable movement, and loyal boomerang that always returns. He proves that you don't need to bend to become a legend. Cool. Cool. Um fighting as a Zula and dies. the things only handdrawn animation can give us. Um, fighters are different. Uh, fighting as different as Azula and Saka highlight just how many ways there are to approach combat in Avatar standard edition. $30 as a reminder. That's incredible. I got a Super Nintendo in the late uh mid90s pretty much exclusively for KI. So what I was looking at uh a Super Nintendo was pretty much for fighting games almost exclusively, dude. Um few other games like Star Fox and things like that, but I missed out on like Super Metroid. Played that for the first time a few years ago. Played Super Mario 64 3 years ago almost to the day and I had never played through that game myself and I loved it. I loved it. So, I've played Mario 3. I've played Mario 1. All right. But Mario 3 is pretty goated. Like, I've always thought to myself, this is like one of the best Super Nintendo games, period. Um, I'm sorry, NES games, period. Edging out maybe Mega Man 2, depending on who you ask. So, a lot of people say this is the quintessential best 2D Mario game. And I have a interesting story because when this game first came out, it was not critically wellreceived. Weirdly enough, like people say it's the GOAT now, which I'm not even doubting, but weirdly enough, when Super Mario World happened on a Super Nintendo, um it was kind of criticized for not really doing anything new, where it just felt like it was were sort of retreading a lot of the same water that Mario 3 was and it just felt like a better looking kind of like little bit better playing Mario 3. So, a lot of people like gave it some kind of harsh reviews back then back then, which is fascinating cuz now it is largely considered to be like one of the best godamn games ever like type of [ __ ] you know? Funny enough, journalists said that. Oh, they did. They they definitely did. But it had an impact. It when you listened to magazines, dude, like people listened to uh experts back then, you know. So anyway, um we should just get this started. I should find out if Were they right? Were they right? Is this game just a slightly better Mario 3 and Mario 3 is actually the goat 2D Mario?
