Saturn is first and foremost the Sega Saturn is the Atlantis of the video game console world at least in in say North America maybe even in kind of Europe too where this was a video game system that had an incredible library most of it didn't get localized so it was really unfortunate because there's actually really really good games on the system a lot of them didn't come out or or just better versions of the games that didn't come out in North America or Europe or or really anywhere else was frankly there like the '9s man. Like you know it was like North America, Europe, Japan at that point. So uh yeah, like 20% or something like there's there is like a thousand games. I'm not even kidding you. Like something close to like a thousand games in Japan. A lot of them aren't really games. Some of them are just kind of like digital museums stuff like but like there is there's some really really really really great stuff. Now, my big caveat is Japanese games are allowed. That's what I'm that's what I'm saying. Japanese games absolutely have to be allowed. Uh especially in a day and age now where it's like, hey, if you want to get into Saturn collecting, you can do that. And they say you get an OD or something like that with optical disc emulator for your Saturn cuz you know, like disc drives are getting, you know, old and funky. Um there's so many fan translations. So many of these games are fan translated or have English patches now. And it's actually really incredible to see that because it basically breathes new life into a system that had all these great games that didn't in fact there is a game and the name escapes me right now. I' I've played it a little bit uh where they English people didn't uh English modders they didn't just translate the text of a game. They dubbed it because it had these Star Fox style onscreen like character blips would come in and talk to you, but they didn't even have text. It was just just dialogue only. And uh yeah, bulk slash, thank you. So they So they dubbed it. They got a bunch of uh they got people together, commissioned people, whatever. And they dubbed a game that had dialogue, important game dialogue that was voice only, no text. And they even dubbed it themselves. So there's an there's just so much insane love that that goes into some of the the Saturn library and some of it's really cool. And then what is Bulk Slash? It is basically all range mode Star Fox but super hyper anime and and robot. Hey yeah you keep talking about Saturn. I'm interested. I'm not really a Sega Saturn fan in any way at all. I don't really like the Saturn. I don't Where did you get that? What did I get? What? Where did I get what the jacket? The jacket and this hat. Yeah. I get both of them. I don't know. No, as the biggest House of the Dead fan, Saturn version of House of the Dead is not it, right? Hey, you know what's amazing? And you you actually would argue, well, one over two. I mean, either one, I think you can't go wrong. I I I would interchange Virtual Cop one over two. Two has multiple has branching paths. It is a little more replayable. But again, I like the aesthetic of Virtual Cop one more. Right. There's there's a there's a charm. Yeah, there's a charm to one. charm to part one that's lost a little bit in two. Speaking of which, you know why we uh put them together? Because they came bundled together. Oh. Oh, snapple. They literally came bundled together, [ __ ] Oh, snapple. These came together at the same time. Both games in one. Here, can I tell the chat that there was at one time a San Diego Comic-Con cosplay desire for me and Simmons? I'd argue it's like one of the best 3D we I really want to check that out because our um our Megabyte cartridge was actually working without problem. So I really want to check out like Marvel Superheroes and whatever game supports it. Whenever game needs 3D cart support. Or I'm sorry, RAM card support, which is a lot of the Capcom stuff. Exactly. Deep Fear. Deep Fear. Deep Fear is a game that is classic survival horror, but also has both analog and tank controls at the same time with the 3D Saturn pad, your choice, and has moving and shooting. years before Resident Evil would get to it. Why the Sega Raleigh thing? Um, Sega Bird and Daytona on Saturn. Oh, yeah. No, Daytona on Saturn's kind of butt, sadly. Yeah, it's nice. Daytona's on the list now. Daytona on Saturn runs at like 20 frames per second, dude. And it controls kind of bad. we could show you tonight, but it's not what you think it is, unfortunately. Um, that's the top 10. And it's only Simmons and Max. Yeah. No one else is going to give a [ __ ] I'm not going to sit here and argue with Steve why Panzer Dragon 2 is better than Panzer Dragon 1. One's just got that amazing opening. It does. Two has the gameplay. Two is just better than That's just kind of the thing. Every other two has the everything. One is is your one is the demo for two. This game is also in widescreen, right? 16 by9 widescreen in 1995. Like what the holy [ __ ] WHO HAD THAT? who know that be like such a weird uh I don't know. It'd be like saying a PlayStation one game has 4K support. Like what? That makes no [ __ ] sense. I own Dragon Force. I don't know. Part of me is like Yeah. I mean, it's it's it's a really good game, I guess. Oh, I think I think this is worth putting up here. I think this is worth putting up here. Oh yeah, it's the best version. So is part three. Um, Alpha 3 in Japan was also like very late in the Saturn's life. Very late. And that [ __ ] is crazy expensive. It's like $1,000. Really? If you find a copy of Alpha 3 upper, you have one? No, no, I don't have that. Oh, really? Because it's I I only collect American Saturn for the most part. And yeah, dude. Japanese Saturn Final Fight Revenge and Street Fighter Alpha 3 are crazy expensive cuz they were at the end of the life cycle. They came out like nearly the year like 2000 or some [ __ ] Do you want better? You know why? This has Alpha 2 Gold on it on Saturn. Yeah, that's a good point. Street Fighter. Well, I mean either one. This has Alpha 2 Gold. the Street Fighter collection, which is a bunch of Street Fighter 2s. You know what? If we were to put any of the old Street Fighters up here, I'd argue Alpha 3 is the best one cuz it's the most featurerich. It is. Yeah. It arguably has more features than even re-releases of the game. I'd be down for Alpha 3. What about MV? MV Street Fighter or X-Men versus Street Fighter or All the Versus? No, they're they're basic ports and they're like a little weird. Uh the problem with the Saturn version is that also Chad, correct me if I'm wrong, the Saturn version is the is the patch version. So, it isn't the one that everybody plays. it's not version A. It's like the second or third. Yeah, I don't I don't think it's the It's definitely doesn't have the vanilla doesn't have the vanilla corner combos and [ __ ] right? Like that's why most people still ignored it. M um anyway, Alpha 3, probably the best version of Alpha 3 cuz it has dramatic battle reverse dramatic drama. You go back and play it has [ __ ] everything, dude. Um the only other version of Alpha 3 that now is better is than the collection because dude, if I get a chance to talk to Nakayamasan or Matsumoto, I need to ask them how the [ __ ] did you guys get PSP characters into like an arcade version of Alpha 3? Like how the [ __ ] Like what? Oh yeah. Like that is still the craziest thing. Like those dudes went above and beyond. They retro patched in they they retroactively patched in glitches back into Marvel 2 and also versions of of uh X-Men versus Street Fighter that no one would know except Super Hardcore. They went back and they added them. So that's like so much extra work for both of those collections. It's insane. I deeply appreciate those collections, dude. Like that. It's honestly some of the best Capcom collections we've ever had, which is Capcom Fighting Collection 2 and Marvel Collection. That shit's nuts. Oh yeah. Radiant. So Oh, yeah. Panza Dragon Saga. You know, you and I, I think, have a kind of similar feel of that game. Where I think it's very ambitious. The combat's cool. And the combat is really cool and the story is cool, but man, too ambitious with the hardware. The hardware is just dying. It's too [ __ ] You have to use your At least in FF7. Yeah, you got to use your imagination, which is a comparable game, comparable time, but bro, Panzer Dragon Saga is amazing because it's rare, but [ __ ] me, dude. It's like, you really got to stretch your brain a little thin to be like, I guess that's what I'm looking at. No game in the history of gaming needs a remake as much as Saga does. Yeah. Like, no [ __ ] Saga is like this is a really good game that is dying under Dragon Saga Demp is coming out soon. Ooh, that would be amazing. That would be cuz like no game needs it more than Saga because Saga is a game where where the hardware is crushing the ambition down like way too hard. At least with like FF because the reason we compared the two is that they're the first two giant 3D RPGs like of that era like the mid late 90s. It's insane that they wanted to do a full 3D RPG on the Saturn. Like, wo wo. The reason it's four, Dude, the [ __ ] is four discs and the game is like 13 hours. it's not long. Like, if you know what to do, where to go, it's it's less than 15 hours to beat P. Short RPG. It's really cool. Like the the everyone all about vibes and atmo. That game has insane vibes. Great vibes and ammo, but like yeah, it's the hardware is just not doing it any favors. There's also a funny part of the game where they're speaking at the beginning in the mystic language. Yeah. And then it switches to Japanese and then it just they just stop and they're just speaking in Japanese. Like I'm like what? Liketo mate today and I'm it's like it's like Yeah. They just gave up. They did it for the intro and then they're like then now back to Japanese and it was like oh okay. Clockwork night I have some attachment to because I really like the demo for Clockwork Knight. It's a competent uh 2D platformer. Mhm. It's really good, but it obviously is like, "Let's make our Toy Story game." Dude, you know what we need to put on here? We're not putting Bug. Not Bug. We're not Who are we? The Cathlete is actually a really Hey, the Cathlete's legit, man. Yeah, like that game was kind of [ __ ] insane. I'm going to be real. The Cathlete's kind of like an incredible party game. Any more fighting games? Um Oh, there's many more if you want to get in. There's a lot more, but not not that I would consider to be like top 10 sort of quality. Saturn Bomberman. Saturn Bomberman is good because it's like it's got a [ __ ] ton of features. It's like eight players and [ __ ] you know. I got to put it here because I think it should go up here in a sense. This fighter mega mix. It's good to talk about that. Why why Mega Mix would go up there. The re a big reason is is just roster size is one thing, but also it was the first time you saw like 3D fighters getting a crossover. Yeah. cuz we had and we had just come from from 2D crossover games and Street Fighter. Looking at my I have a Fighter Megaix shirt. What's what's fun and what's really cool about Fighters Megaix is that some of the characters use Virtual Fighter 3 move sets which wasn't even out yet. Wasn't even out yet. Yeah. Right. So like Janet and some of the other characters, they have they they literally you literally were getting like VF3 stuff like early and then you got VF2 and then you got Fighting Vipers and then you had all these stages. You even had stuff from like Sonic the Fighters in there. It came at a detriment. It looks worse than VF2. It does. So it's it's super crammed. It's kind of Marvel 2 in that way in a little bit. Yeah. Where it's like, okay, we had to take we had to chop more, but they don't they run out of space. Yeah. So yeah. Uh, I I say Fighters Mega. I mean, I think if you have a Saturn and you're just collecting or just playing Saturn games, I feel like you really should play or have Fighters Mega. Oh, that's a good point. It's Fighting Vipers visuals because I think it was done in the same engine that Fighting Vipers was. And I think Fighting Vipers and weirdly enough, Virtual Fighter 2 are kind of different. Like, they don't function in similar ways. They have a lot of similar [ __ ] but it looks way closer to Fighting Vipers. Yeah. Like whatever version of the model one or model 2 hardware they were running on. Yeah. You know what? Oh, you know what is good? And someone pointed it out and I feel like Yeah, definitely got to go up there. Maybe it is a fighting game. Burning Rangers. No. Last Bronx. Yeah, that's a technical marble. It's very good looking game. It's like dummy looking. Like I don't get it. Why? Yeah. Do we not? Guardian Heroes is also very good, but it's also like it's like what's that game? Uh Dragon's Crown. It's like a commitment beat him up. chat. I'm not putting Burning Rangers or Guardian Heroes up there. I just don't I'm not really big fans of those games and I don't want to talk about them. I'm not I wouldn't sit here and collect two different copies of Guardians Heroes and Burning Rangers and them behind glass and [ __ ] I would not do that. I just refuse to put either of these games up there. Um Guardian Heroes is good. Burning Rangers is not I love the vibes of Burning Rangers and what it represents, but playing it is not it, dude. We've tried. Oh, we have tried. It's not it. Uh I think we're good. I think I'm good. I probably like dig deep. There's other stuff that I I've seen thrown in there which is like Yeah. Yeah, that's true, too. Yeah. Powers slave. I mean, Powers Slave is very Oh, man. Some of the some of those uh FPS, not Doom, but like Quake one and Duke Nukem and Powerslave were like really really good um FPS's on the system. Uh Powersave is basically Metroid Prime before Metroid Prime. Quake is a technical marble on Saturn as well. Yeah, like that that's definitely true. Um I mean Guardian Heroes is I mean I have Shiny the Holy Arc, but that's like How much do you like first person first person dungeon crawling games? Etrian Odyssey stuff. How much do you like that? I I'd argue MK Trilogy is the best on Saturn. Is it? I don't know. Cuz it's pretty much between PlayStation and the Saturn version. They're both 64 has that weird female chameleon or something. I have no idea how the the Saturn one stacks up. But the problem is the [ __ ] loading, dude. Yeah. Like, if you actually boot that [ __ ] off a disc, even back in the day, the loading is atrocious. Shang Tsung aside, I think we have enough. We definitely have enough. Um, all right. All right, I can start cutting some [ __ ] on I can start cutting some Damn. Cut something on your side. You have more. Uh, yeah. Is it It is It's [ __ ] Die Hard Arcade, dude. But it is like a simple beat him up. It's great, but like it's an afternoon. Yeah, it's like a small session. Um, and you can be you can get some more value out of it with subsequent playthroughs, but it's cool, but it's not like Yeah. God damn. You know, um I'd actually argue the same thing for Saturn Bomberman. While a really good puzzle game in itself, uh the it is it's pretty much up here because of the multi multitap, right? It's pretty much up here because it is like one of the only games on the system where you can just get that many [ __ ] in a room grinding on a Saturn game at the same time. It's like the equivalent of eight player Smash, dude. So, you So, you would be arguing that like the the the problem with Saturn Bomberman is is the requirement. Yes, the setup necessary to which is why it's up here. Like it's up here because of its multiplayer, but that's also its worst part cuz you need to multitap. You need like controllers. Seven more [ __ ] Seven more human. Seven more Um I I guess I Hold on. What do we got here? We got like 1, two, three. I can see these definitely stay. 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15. We're at 20 even. Woo. Um I could take off the cathlete while impressive and incredibly fun. Also a a it's also like a quick session. Yeah, it is also an afternoon of a game, you know. Um is Sakura's War 2 Sakura Wars 2 better than the majority of RPGs or is it just one of the better one of the good ones? You know, this is a cultural icon in Japan. In Japan. Yeah, I know. Um, and I played through I've been playing I played a little bit through one that's already fans translated. They're in the midst of translating too for Saturn. Uh, for Saturn. Sick. Uh, and I played the PS4 reboot which pretty much got the Goshi lost his standing at Sega. Um, it's it's kind of one of those you got to be in the mood for it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because there's also like a lot of text and detail. It's a visual it's a visual novel and a strategy RPG. Yeah, I get you now. How we want to go about this is if we want to say we don't want to have too much genre crossover or too much of the same genre like against Say Anniversary is nowhere near as good. It's nowhere near as good. It it's it's more of like you know what it kind of is? It it like it defines '90s anime gaming. Like anime gaming in the '9s. Yeah. People saying, "Where the [ __ ] is Dragon Force?" It's right there. Dragon Force is right here. It's on there. And I don't know, like this is like more technically accomplished cuz it's like you got to be like really if you're really into [ __ ] strategy, you you goddamn love Dragon Force. This is more for the more this is this is more webery. Whereas Panza Dragon Saga, we decided not to put it up here because I think it's I think the game for its efforts is too ambitious for the system. I I don't feel like Panza Draon Saga like as a game in its totality is actually fully realized on this system, man. Like it you kind of got to use your [ __ ] imagination when playing Panza Dragon Saga. And I love Panzer Dragon. I think that think the combat system is good, but let's see here. Who are you saying we should probably make? I don't know. Radiant Silver Gun. I'm not that much of a schmup guy. Even though it is it is one of the better ones on the system. It's a good schmup. That's the thing is like a lot of these things are good. So I I think we're going to say we're actually going to cut Saturn and Bomber Man, right? Yeah. I think it's an easier one to figure out just because the setup is insane. Um how much you have to do cuz that's the thing is like if I also look at it like if you're playing a Saturn now and you're a collector for Saturn now and you're getting into it, you're like, "Let me get Saturn Bomberman." Like what you're going to get out of that as a solo experience is nowhere close to to like the the five player, six player, 10 player chaos you could get. So did not count. Ah, that's more of a PlayStation game and it's it's a it's a wonky port. It made it made our top 10 PlayStation list anyway. Yeah, it's a I mean it's not it's still really good, but it's also kind of a wonky port. There's there Homebrew people who are making 4meg versions of it. Like they're adding code to the game to make it run good on Saturn, which is insanity. I love it when they do that. I love it when they do that. And um they still work on original hardware. Yeah, that's [ __ ] amazing. What what Grand Theft Auto 3 running on a Dreamcast? It's like hell yeah, dude. Yeah, both Lunar 1 and two are on Saturn. In fact, they have there's there's two versions on Saturn. There's the regular and then there's the Meg version because there was a video card that could go in the butt of the Saturn and it would give it Meg codec one MR codec for Meg 1 and you would have full screen, better clarity, better bit rate cutscenes than even the PlayStation version. Yeah, but they're unique to Sat and you need that video card in the back. Um, remember Meg Chat? MP EG. It was It was I don't know if it was a [ __ ] codec or a container, but it's ancient [ __ ] Yeah. And it was it was like 1.0 version of it. Prempp4, dude. Meg 4. Um, that was like back when you were recording [ __ ] with Fraps, right? All right, so we got to cut 18 more. Um, I'm looking at my side and the only one I see on my side that I would be willing to sacrifice is pretty much Sega Rally, even though it's like a defining ass. I don't know. I feel like Sega Rally is like kind of one of those eternal games almost in a way. It kind of is. Well, I mean, to me it is. To me, it easily makes top 10, but I can see, you know, I can see it going, but VO I don't know. VO Alpha, I think there's going to be an argument between Alpha 3 and Vampire Savior, which is [ __ ] [ __ ] I don't I don't know who wins. I'm saying I'm just going to cut Last Yeah, let's cut Last Bronx for now. Uh it's it is a very good game and it's a very technically a nice looking game. However, you also have this Virtual Fighter 2, which is kind of like the miracle 3D fighter. To be real, I'd also cut Fighters Mega. Yeah, that one kind of hurts almost just because it's this is like it's so much content but at a cost. Yeah, you know, you're kind of eating you're you're eating a bit of a, you know, bit of a the honestly one of the biggest contributing factors of Fighters Megaax even having the long running history it does or people that know it is memes. it has a lot of [ __ ] There's a car memes. You fight as a Daytona car. You fight as a [ __ ] uh you fight as the AM2 palm tree. You fight as a bear with no animation. You literally fight as this palm tree like and they literally don't even animate. They just move on X and Y axis and like shift. and then uh yeah, you're right. Well, what what do we say? I think it's I think I think the recency bias of us playing this and being so surprised by how [ __ ] good it was even over the Capcom fighting collection was like whoa. But this version's [ __ ] crazy. Like this shit's bonkers. Like how many mo you you open up the the Saturn version of this and you see even more modes than are present in the PSP version, right? Like it's crazy. The only thing the PSP had was those added characters at that point. And now that well well yeah that now that doesn't matter because you have the collection. You have better versions of Alpha 3 anywhere else? No. No you don't. This is this is a Japanese only Alpha 3 Saturn. It's crazy. Uh it's not the port you think it is, dude. It has like [ __ ] everything. And the only other versions that got more was when they was it when they hamfisted in uh fighting jam characters and eagle and CVS characters into the PSP version later, but the PSP version was always [ __ ] because you can't play anybody else, right? You'd have to find You have to ad hoc a dude. You have to ad hoc someone with another PSP and another copy of the game. There is no versus mode in that game, dude. Like, it's crazy. So, we're going to say Vampire Savior. Maybe not. I mean, it's I would take Vampire Savior off. It's definitely the best version of Dark Side because these two are fighting and I think Alpha 3 probably deserves it. We'll check out Alpha 3 tonight. Yeah. Dragon Force is going to be like, you're going to love this game, you know, more than your your own child kind of thing. What is the best Saturn game? It is unequivocally Virtual Fighter 2. Like, there's not I don't even know if there's much of an argument for it. It is VF2. It's the bestselling game on the system. It is one of the most influential games of all time. Um, it literally is impossible. Yes, Saturn did have Ko Techmo strategy. Actually, we have one over here. One of the Nobody or Romance of the Three Kingdoms. We do have it. It's over there somewhere. Not to me. I mean, I don't know. I think this is like obviously like this is the game that shows the system off like defines a system. This also wars that defines an era. Yeah. Yeah, it's so 90s anime gaming everything encompassing of that time and place, you know, like so like if you're into like that that like if you're into like deep '90s we like this might be a top 10 game, you know, or or if you're into just multiplayer like Saturn Bomber Man could easily be like, "Oh, it is top 10 game if you have the the the you have that many friends." What's mind-blowing about VF2 is how good it plays and looks, right? Like still like this game looks better than almost all PlayStation games, Chad. Like it looks better than Tekken 3 cuz Tekken 3 is like interlaced also. It's interlaced and it's doing the flat plane with the rotating 2D background. And VF VF2 actually has some 3D to its background environments to a certain degree. Like it is bonkers how good this looks and how good it plays and how it predates Tekken 3 by literally three [ __ ] years. Like it's crazy, bro. So, I don't know, dude. Virtual Fighter 2 is We did not put Kota up here. We didn't put Kota or or or any of the first four because they're not the the vanilla arcade versions. They they are fixed versions. Saturn Kota is also like a great option back in the day, but now it's a it's a rough port. It's like severely cut in animations. And Marvel Superheroes also got the ability to use the RAM expansion, but it is a severely compromised game. Like it looks rough. So that's why getting KOD and MSH was great because we've never had good versions of these games, bro. Like Like except the Marvel Origins Collection when we got MSH finally. I mean, for the longest time, X-Men versus Street Fighter, Marvel Street Fighter, the Saturn was the best best version of those games. Yeah. For the longest time. For the longest time, like pretty much until the collection came out. Like, no And this is arguably still the this might even be the best version of Darkstalkers 3. I know there was that PS3 version and the PSP version. Darkstalkers Resurrection. Resurrection, but like I mean, they might be better versions of that. The PSP one probably did, but um but yeah, cuz like the one the fighting collection Darkstalkers does not have a version of Vampire Savior with every character in it. Yeah. This is the game that I stand the [ __ ] out of. Dude, this is the one that they're remaking as well, but not as good. It's crazy how it plays better, too. It's crazy. It actually plays better than other things. Oh, we have the score There it is. Listen with your eyes. The lore. The lore is guy found a little baby dragon and he hit it. The story is literally how to train your dragon. That's ridiculous. Story is like no [ __ ] How to train your Guns with a guy that has a gun. Except the dragon is technically like a boweapon like Right. The Empire found out it's there and it's attacking your village real quick. This acts as an introductory level, so it's not like the craziest. Just listen to the music, [ __ ] Sega innovating even more [ __ ] Oh, there's like things I can actually shoot. Yeah, that's where the hidden ones are. Yep. And then you get full like 3D looking around. And the sky boxes in this game are actually amazing. For Saturn, they're crazy cool looking. Shoot it. And then every time you beat a level, like depending on how good you do, this is like a slow one, but depending on where you go and what you do, um the dragon gets upgrades and then you can evolve and turn into big ass winged like walking titan creature. Look at the morphing ass side. these You see ass. This is big chilling. We do have this. So yeah, they uh the [ __ ] like show up and they blast the whole village and then main [ __ ] shoots you down. The same theming as like the first game. There's always like this lead dragon that whoops your ass and then the dude runs away suddenly running at like 60. There's that one part where you're running in the cavern water. Not on the water, but like the water around you and it's like running like really high frame rate. That one part. What the [ __ ] is this dude saying Eclipse? Thank you. So, there's a there's a moment. This is what the demo is for uh Zai. I don't know if you if you saw the Z remake and it just misses like a lot of I was trying when you hear someone talking and you're like what? So, now this is the part of the game where it actually matters which ways you go and what you do. It's doing like a little bit. Everyone has has to stop talk stupid. I like shooting the [ __ ] out of this guy. These dudes bombing more towns. I really like the painting mechanic. It just feels great. There's like a little bit of a delay to it and then it locks on and you you grab them. Feels great. This is here to distract me from going the right way. Going a way. Uh, left or right. Let's go right. Route one. Right one. Andy, take the left tunnel. Shortcut. Just take the left tunnel. Bust the [ __ ] out of his guy like bails out. Maybe a Japan. No, dragon was never an arcade game. It's Saturday. Again, the skybox, the mood, the atmo. It's cool. I just really dig it. That's cool. First time you ever fly. And he sucks at it. If you go the other way, he actually retains the flight and he keeps going. I think the scale is what's impressive to me cuz you know what was [ __ ] up in the uh the remake? The scale. Everything looks small. This looks big as [ __ ] Looks like Wow, this is this massive fortress. Go. Should be big happening. It's so hard to get all the targets in this [ __ ] My god. Doing that, huh? Yeah. I just don't want to miss anything. Want to get the first big upgrade. impressive. And if you see like on the remake, it misses like all this action, all this like the feels of this [ __ ] is all gone. It's really unfortunate. Tweak 22 for 120 months. God damn it. This feels like an onslaught in this. The music because you always go at the same pace. The music is specifically designed to play out in specific ways at the right time. So, because you can't like slow down or go faster, it always like hits these cool musical beats and notes. Ow. And I think they're they're honestly of very similar quality. Like I don't think it's like this massive like gulf between the two. I think they're both very very good games. I just I've always said Paner Dragons like Star Fox just a billion times more interesting like setting and story-wise. Star Fox is much more arcadey. Yeah, look at look at the look at the 2D ass Saturn system trying to like render distant objects in a way and it's all like coming across as like tiles. here is road rash and three dirty dwarves. No, we're going to play three dirty dwarfs. Uh 100% play through. Road rash though. Road rash is a good game, but three dirt we've played three dirty dwarfs. We're not We're not playing three dirty dwarfs. I watched the movie. Three dirty dicks. Where does it pop up? It's like over All the bats pop out. Damn, that's cool. This gets off the top layer. Did I just shoot now? I can't remember. Blow this thing off its butt. There we go. They are cook them. Please, please die. There you go. Yeah. And they do this in every single game where it's like you're this little thing and you take out this like massive entity in some way. It's like it's that power fantasy that they try to go for. So, and now the cool [ __ ] starts happening where all of your what you did 99.3. Holy [ __ ] Your route points were zero. Yeah. I don't know what that means. Depending if I get the good alternate route. Yeah, cuz I could have gone to route two, right? You went like the basic route. route two is the one where he falls. As you play and what you do determines how your dragon morphs. So, you're not It's not the same thing the whole game. It's different every every level. It's going to morph depending on what you do or don't do. And some levels get multiple routes and I missed that one goddamn enemy. Yeah, I'm cranking this [ __ ] because the music on this level is bonkers. This [ __ ] is what I want to see in the remake. I want to see like how they handle this and what it sounds like. So good. Holy [ __ ] All the cool ass Saturn light rays coming through stuff. we're trying. God rays. Yep. You know, it's wild. That guy has like the keyboard that made all the Sega music. Yeah. The actual device. Yeah. Yeah. Actual device that made so much Sega music. That's a crazy collectible. I don't have to have the whole Saturn collection. This is the keyboard that made a lot of the music. I hear you stupid bats. I think there's more [ __ ] that I can shoot around here. I just don't know where it is. This level goes by so quick and there's so many targets that you miss it. Then the cool [ __ ] starts happening. Yeah, you just like the original dummy ship. I like the dummy ships. I miss when um Kingdom Hearts was pure. I tried Kingdom Hearts one. Kenny did not age well. I tried. Sure. I wanted to like it, but I like when it was just simple. Simple. yeah, simple and clean. Yeah. The point, you know, and then it just became like all this weird [ __ ] [ __ ] I I absolutely agree with you, but also I think on retrospect too, it's also the problem is Kingdom Hearts 1 also has a lot of similar problems. Like, yeah, the story is way more simple and clean, but the levels still Stop saying that. You simple and clean. Stop it. I'll [ __ ] slap you. But the level design still kind of butt in the No, the level design over where it's like, "Oh, this sucks." Oh my god. Having to play the Tarzan level. I'm like, "This [ __ ] sucks." The Alice Wonderland isn't good either. It's a bunch of boxes. Yeah, that's where I went after it. I was like, "This [ __ ] sucks." The level design isn't even good in the even in the original. But Travers Town has good music. Well, like that's and that's the the franchise. No, the music's great. The rest of it two was good, but then that two hours long [ __ ] skip incoming. Maybe we can skip the first two hours. That story starts to get bonkers. You know, story got bonkers immediately after one. So [ __ ] synth wave [ __ ] now. Got him. Knock him down. Yeah, I like it. Like handsome and you see like handsome and you're like and it just gets jumps to shark with story like all crazy. What? No, I don't think Fox. Knock down. Get him down. I did not know that. Yeah, chat. This isn't one of my favorite Saturn games. This shit's one of my favorite games of all time. Like, I [ __ ] I can always play this game. Makes me feel like the same feelings I got when I watched like Never Ending Story as a kid. Overex sinks and all the weird crazy [ __ ] Artex, you're sinking. Vortex, you're sinking. Never going to land. Yeah. You want your kids to trauma? There you Kids need trauma of some kind. The wolf is actually the scariest [ __ ] thing in that movie. Is that bitch's name is the nothing. So even if you like do a button in the throw at the end and it's like 54%. It's actually 70%. Because the throw doesn't count in the damage numbers, doesn't it? It doesn't say it. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm like, no guys, like Killer Instinct arcade ran at like 360p or some [ __ ] even less. This is what it looks like in your head. In your head. That's what I said. Like in my head, this is what Killer Instinct always looked like. But go back and look at Arcade Ki or KI. It is It is shockingly low resolution, dude.
