So, we don't get to like divulge into literally anything. Is it sponsored? It's not. It's just a preview. So, I mean, they were kind enough just to give us access to the game to stream a little bit um in a very limited capacity, but we have the versus mode. It has like update stuff. It has uh the full roster, so we'll just uh you know, be cranking on all the characters. We're going to be cranking on each other. The thing is we're going to use this information and go to EVO and win it. Yes. You suckers. We all four of us are going to go to EVO and play and beat everybody. There is literally Hold on a second. Zang is literally the pallet swap of Haggar from Final Fight. I'm very curious to see might have pipe when when we eventually get a trailer cuz every time we get a trailer for a season pass of Street Fighter, they show all the characters. Like here's everybody. So, it's like it's like an animation or something. It's like it's just like a tease. Yeah. So, whatever that trailer is, I better see Vega. I better see. I couple other characters. I heard it was Jeep. I heard G. Here's the thing there. You're not wrong. There's another leak list that has that character on it. Really? But is it from the same source? Uh, it's from a different source that was right before. Yeah. If just like the same person that said the [ __ ] that happened this week, I'm going to be real y'all. Like uh if everyone if all these sources are coming out with their own like their own list, I'm like y'all are getting played. I I think Let me get my source. I've known people in the past that had given me info and when it eventually came down to uh where that info was coming from cuz I I would not report on it and I was like okay that's cool and then found out a couple of weeks like later uh their source got fired. They found out that they found out who leaked who leaked it. Right. Right. Right. it it you know like I don't know who's watching Daredevil but that happened in the show like hey this drop this and if we hear that this leaked we know who the mole is this goes all the way back to Empire Strikes Back literally all goes all the way back I don't know if that was the first time you're dope as [ __ ] get they told stupid yeah yeah for for old movie lore George went over to uh Mark Hamill and said right before they were to film the scene with his hand getting tapped. You're dope. They're like, "Hey, David, the guy in the suit, is going to say this." But James is going to say this in ADR. We need you to react to what James is going to say. Like if you're a producer, you start telling everybody all these fake stuff in the uh in the studio and see, okay, I'm going to tell director this. I'm going to tell the main uh you know uh art director this and see if the information gets Well, the only the only people that need to know is is literally uh the the person reacting to it. Mark needs to know cuz it's his job to react to it. No, I'm talking about the Street Fighter. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like the producer needs to to tell the art director, they need to tell the director 20 different things. Well, yeah. In the case of like what a future DLC would be, right, dude, this would have been known for like a year and a half to two years. The thing is the people working on the game are not the people leaking the stuff on the game. It's like other people other people getting the information because they work at the company. Yeah. So, it's like it's not even at the company. It's also like all the stu there's so many different involved studios now where it's like somebody that works in some audio studio like hey we got this this person came in and did voice lines for this voice lines for something and you're like wait for what they they start filtering out specific false information to people who are not yeah not in that circle working on like you're not going to tell the guy who's designing the characters the 3D modeler hey the season 4 characters are this now go make the other the other go make the real season 4 characters I know he's going to know the truth truth. They're going to tell people who don't work on the game every day. Somebody mentioned something that's a bit different than like malicious leaks. Like, you know how PlayStation just leaks stuff constantly? Like they'll just leak release dates and trailers early and be like, "Oops, we're stupid." Like, "Our fault, our bad." Amazon does the same thing. That is like literally somebody working messed up and information got out, right? Like it wasn't like a malicious like internal he said she said like sort of this is this is it is a lot different when like information is oopsies let out by people that are actually working on it and it's their job to let the information out and they do it at the wrong time frame and it's like well it's just out there like can't do anything about it now like there was like this trailer that like got le released in like England or something like that and it wasn't supposed to come out and then all of a sudden everyone's like oh it's a leak and they were like whoops our fault you know and it's just like this the studio just not um you communicating correctly or something like that. I can understand those type of leaks. Me and Simmons were just talking about it. A perfect example of that, the new Star Wars racer. We were like, "Oh, the new Star Wars racer looks sick. I hope it's I hope it's going to be at Summer Games Fest." And he's like, Simmons is like, "Yeah, it's going to be out soon." I'm like, "What do you mean it's going to be out soon?" And go on. So, they updated their Steam page today for the pre-orders. The Steam page says coming soon. However, they oopsied because on the Steam page, they put the pre-order bonus items. You know how pre-order bonus items all have these images? you know, get the deluxe, get the deluxe version, you know, was going to have this pod racer coming October 6th. They're like, "Oops, oops. Oopsies." So, they they accidentally oopsie the people in charge of the information, right? But now a lot of leaks happen. And you you wonder at this point, what do we know as leaks and what do we know as like, you know, uh, marketing information being Well, you sometimes don't know if things are like marketing leaked, right? Yeah. That's That's a bit different where it's like Yeah. Sometimes like the Deadpool movie, you know, like the original Deadpool CG that we all saw way before the Deadpool movie came out that blew up on the internet. Yeah. Ryan Reynolds leaked that onto the internet so that it could get popular, right? And then convince higherups that look how look how popular this got on the internet. Like he did that purposely. Well, then uh what about uh freaking Star Fox and Mario Galaxy? No, I think No, no, that was a marketing. That was a marketing plan. I think like like that's so ridiculous. Well, I think they to be honest, I think like they're like, "Ah, you know what? This this it's not trending enough to like I think we need to get some more tickets, pre-sale tickets because that was announced very like like a week like within days." Within like Yeah. within a week. You got to wonder if that was was that the plan to really do it a week before. Yeah. I literally think they're like, "Shit, you know what? This this is not this this I don't know though. It wasn't ever like not trending like No, but like like not the pre-t sales were never looking bad for it. So, it's kind of like I guess this was just the plan. The plan. Yeah. Malicious leak like the Mortal Kombat 11 roster like early on that stuff was malicious. What just happened with the damn Avatar movie? Like all that kind of super malicious like people like are using this opportunity to like literally harm what the developers are planning. Someone got arrested in Singapore for it. They found the dude. Yeah. It wasn't like accidentally emailed. No, no, it was it was it was stolen. He accessed Was he a ex employee? No, he fished he fished somebody with their password and Right. And he got it and he was like, "Hey, it's probably a teenager." And he was like, "Hey, look at what I can do." Dude, it was like uh when GTA 6 Oh, yeah. All the GTA leaks and [ __ ] Yeah. Yeah. The hot coffee and all stuff like that. No, no, no. The GTA 6 [ __ ] Oh, yeah. Like two years ago, we saw the game being played. Right. Right. Yeah. Uh again, these these people either really hate the companies or they just want notoriety for themselves. They just want notoriety. That's what that's what leakers are. They just they want to be someone. They want to like, hey, I was the one. I was the guy. You know what that reminds me of? You remember? Stream snipers. They want to be the one. I want to be someone. They want to be the guy that, you know, that pisses off Ninja so much that he leaves uh, you know, streaming. You can imagine the guy that was the last person that stream sniped him is going around telling everybody, "Yeah, I was that guy. I got him to stop him from playing. And then you're like, "Okay, I literally played online Dragon Ball for like the first time." I checked my [ __ ] record, dude. It's like the last time you played ranked was 2019. And I was like, "Holy shit." So, let's play some ranked. First [ __ ] guy I run into, his name is like stream sniper. Sniper 21. Stream sniper. And he's like he's super smurfed. He's he's incredibly high ranked, but he like has a character that's no games played. like [ __ ] great and we both and we both know the one guy Max and Tekken [ __ ] Ender [ __ ] Ander [ __ ] Ander just he's always there he never plays in he never ranks up either he never ranks up he always plays in like you know uh uh tournaments he never plays in any of my tournaments he never plays in you know regular only when you're only when only when you're playing around crazy right he knows everything you do so it's wild it's wild so we get it's beautiful I always say this I'll always say this it is a lot tougher offer to stream snipe a a streamer if you're playing fighting games. If you're playing a first-person shooter or third person shooter, yeah, you can creep around a corner, wait for them to walk by, and then shoot them in the back. But when you're fighting somebody one-on-one, it doesn't matter if you're a sniper or not, you better be like Justin Wong in order to be like, "Yeah, I'm going to get him." Because we know what the [ __ ] we're doing. And if you're trying to stream snipe us and you're trash, you're going to get wrecked every single time. You're not going to snipe anybody. So, it's a lot different that it it it is different. And also, you know, you you literally jump into a game for the first time and this person probably has 10,000 games played and you're like, "This is going to be fun." And here's the stream sniper, right? It's different. It's not just stream sniping. It's also smurfing. Like that's the thing. They're doing they're doing whatever they can to get on your stream to purpose to find you and it's they come and get you. Yes. And they know how you play. They've been watching you do this forever. They have a big leg up. That's for sure. They know. They know. And you know what? Uh uh it comes with the territory, Yeah. Stream snipers have plenty of time on their hands. Exactly. They're not doing anything productive. No, they're not. You know, so uh before we get into it, uh yeah, I told Kenny he shouldn't play Pragmata and Simmons beat Pragmata. Um somehow the the best controlling third person Capcom action I say best the best playing third person shooter Capcom has ever made. playing like just controlling the character, jumping around, shooting, doing things. Plays better than all the Resident Evils. I don't I don't get it. It's air dashing, man. Come on. I I It's just a mega It's a 3D Mega Man game. Like, if you literally think about it, like so much of that game is just Mega Man. Like, the hacking thing is close to Mega Man 11 as well, I guess. I don't know. It's really It's not really structured like a Mega Man. No, no, it's not structured like one, but if you look at like what the character is doing in a 3D space, like what if this was Mega Man X? Just think about it. I I could definitely see them taking this game and and how it functions and like applying it to a 3D Mega Man game. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, you wouldn't have the hacking, especially in like responsiveness. Like you can make it a bit faster, I guess, or you couldn't, but like dude, so much of it is like this is very Mega Man Legends like in a way, but it doesn't control like [ __ ] Sorry, Legends fans. I beat that game. Um, it's kind of like if Legend Yeah. Legend if Legends controlled really well. And it it also has like really good visuals that could line up with what Mega Man visuals could be. If they wanted it to be that way. So anyway, I'm just like And there's also the Mega Man isms all over the game, too. There's like references and Yeah. With like with cabin. I'm going to say it. He's saying something. You drank first. This game is great. I love it. It's amazing. But it would be 10 times more better if it was co-op. I'm telling you right now, ladies and gentlemen, my case for that game being co-op would be amazing. If you could, Max, you and Ripley, Ripley could play the part of the little girl and she could be doing the hacking and you could be using the gun and she does the hacking. Nintendo co-op, ladies and [ __ ] gentlemen. That would be [ __ ] godlike. And let's say so you got all the guns that are all around you run up and you have to pick them up. That's that's not a great mechanic. That's not a great mechanic. Let's say that Ripley can do some hacking stuff while you're shooting. She can do different hacks to give you certain types of guns so that when you're running around, she can actually do the hack. She upgrades your guns and then you can use the guns on the [ __ ] game. Ladies and gentlemen, that game would be [ __ ] solid. But ladies and gentlemen, they have not done it. Steve doesn't like the gun part because he doesn't like the guns running out of ammo. Right. I guarantee you, right? It's a little weird, but like you're supposed to use them and it's [ __ ] dumb, bro. Yeah, but it's designed around. It's designed like a boomer shooter. It's dude, if your character if the hacking character like characters, too. Like, that's also a thing. That's stupid. Get rid of the dropping guns thing. That's like so 2000 late. Like, bro, just get the the character to give get the characters to [ __ ] make the guns for you. Like, the hacker girl could actually upgrade your gun or she can give you ammo or she could like, you know, give you some sort of armor or something like that. How do you not How do you not make that completely [ __ ] broken, though? Uh, giving you always come with some Oh, well, that would [ __ ] How How do you not make that cool down system? Cool down system. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. All right. A cool down system. Yes, a cool down system. Then you're sitting there like, "Okay, I have to like wait for your cool down to give myself ammo." Guess what? Guess what? When you run out of ammo and you don't reload with the the handgun, you have to sit there and wait. So yeah, you're going to do that anyway. Then then hit your shots. Oh, well, guess what? If you miss your shots and you have a cool down system, you're in the same scenario anyway. So did you did you end up getting the uh the mod that makes it after you do a perfect dodge, you get the auto hack. Oh, yeah. I didn't use it, though. [ __ ] It's amazing. Like so you'd be like and then aim at the guy. It does all this [ __ ] in slow motion. I didn't use it cuz I felt insulted. I was like, "Oh, easy motion." Autoacky I did not buy the the R3 auto hack one. The the the one This one only works if you dodge and then aim at right after. Okay. I know what you're talking about. And it gives you an opportunity to go boom and then boom. There is two different ones. I never used it. I got something similar like that in Crimson Desert where I have infinite arrows because I have those abyss cores and now I have a thing where I dodge while I shoot arrows and I shoot multi- arrows super fast. So I'm shooting multiple infinite exploding arrows and just staggering bosses like crazy. So it's kind of similar. I know what you guys are talking about and it's because like in Crimson Desert Crimson Desert mentioned this. Yeah. I don't know. I I like game a whole lot though. Oh, also me too. Best level design in a Capcom game in a long time. Yeah, cuz people have said it and it's I I I didn't think about it, but I guess it's kind of true where it's like, yeah, Capcom's not great at level design. Like RE9 is it and like some re like the Baker Mansion and stuff like that. A little back a little bit and say like Monster Hunter has some pretty good maps in some of the games. Yeah, I would go back to World specifically. World has some pretty great level design. Not wilds, but world. And honestly, some of Rise. Rise is pretty good. Pretty good, too. But those are good level designs. But yeah, like Devil May Cry never had good level design. Maybe the first one. There's so much exploration that is like really satisfying where they like put something in in noticeable view and you're like, "How the hell do I get to that?" And as soon as you start looking around a little bit, you The thing is there's an upgrade that kind of [ __ ] with your brain. Yeah. Cuz you know where you know it's there. You ping it and then like and then it accidentally makes you go in like in in the wrong ways. Wrong ways. You're like, "What am I doing?" It actually makes it worse almost. Uh, what does Kenny want to say? Don't. You better not curse me with that. They're going to take that infinite arrow stuff. It's in the game. It's too They're going to take it away like the air dash into space. Yeah. No, that it's abyss cores. You say that they're not taking those abyss cores away. Hey, you know, it's it's in the game. Hey, that was that was like that in Tears of Infinite Arrows. Took it away. No, no, no. This it's it's it's it's a I have a 60% and a 40% but infinite arrows that can't be me. I was you put that on me. I was shocked by how earnest the whole game was. Shocked. There was like I mean without like my moderate spoilers. There was never like any moment where like Hugh turns into like I can't take this anymore or something. I got to get back to Earth. Like he just breaks down. That never happens. Right. Like it's it's so crazy how the game is just straight shot the whole time because no games do that like ever. Like even in God of War and stuff like that is the part where the boy goes crazy. My boy is crazy like like oh my god. But there is there is a part where your your There's a part where your me your your mechanics are removed from you for a little bit. Yeah. You know what I'm talking about. But yeah, it's not because she it's not it's not they don't they don't pull some like story shenanigans like that. But there is there is a part in the game where like yeah you don't have access to your full range emotional states and things like that change things. Yeah. Yeah. There is but they do they do pull the whole like okay navigate this part without this Yeah. you know this ability or something. So I did beat the game. I don't want to talk about it. That's it. Okay. talk about it. All right. Uh one of my favorite main characters in a Capcom game ever. Hugh ends up being one of my favorite [ __ ] main characters in a c in like a game. Like it's it blows my mind like how they were able to keep it the whole way the [ __ ] ending sequence. I was like this is really cool. Like this is really [ __ ] cool. There's there seems to be a lot of like fatherdaughter games like or father son games. Father son games father son games. It's not a sad game. Last of Us. Last of Us. Uh God of War. Uh Pragmata. This is the exact opposite of a sad sad dad game. Yeah. Well, it's not sad dad. I'm just saying there's a lot about it. It's all the parent child games that you're talking about are all sad dad It's not a sad dad game. It's a glad dad game. If you think about it, they're all about the dad dealing with something and the the burden of what they're dealing with is being put onto either their surrogate child or their child. So, the child is going through some [ __ ] because my dad is [ __ ] up. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. It's it's glad dad. It's glad dad. It's no longer sad dad space. Ah, okay. So, it's not it's not dead space. It's dad's space. Okay. I don't know why you guys are going nuts about Donkey Kong doesn't even talk and that's for what bugged me about Donkey Kong is that they don't do [ __ ] anything with it. It dude and even It's not I did nothing with it. It's not a [ __ ] Donkey Kong is not a glad dad. That's [ __ ] Like does nothing with it. He doesn't talk. It's Wreck-It Ralph. Yes, it's Friends. Well, no, it's not Wreck-It Ralph because that has some crazy because it's a movie and that has dialogue. Like my problem with Donkey Kong is they don't do anything like interesting with that the relationship Donkey Kong Jr. right? Uh no no the the latest Donkey Kong smashy girl on the back. Oh okay. They don't do anything like interesting. He's not a dad at all. He's just like he's just like a he's like Ralph. He's like a friend. Who's the girl? Pauline. Pauline. Okay. So yeah. Well, yeah. She has no relation to him. No, it's not a glad that that's not that's not dad sim at all. It's just okay. Like she she little girl. He big gorilla. He smashes things. She's just a friend. Yeah, she's just But don't But they're not friends in like a really endearing way. Well, I'll do whatever it takes so you can fulfill your dream type of [ __ ] Like Wreckit Ralph [ __ ] Like, no. No, they don't do any of that. They try to. You know what's crazy? They try to, but not effectively. You know what's crazy? That game came out and it was like the it game for about a week and then it fell off because it was [ __ ] mid. I I'll bring it to you. I had a lot of fun with it. It is the most solid like eight. It's an eight. It's great, but it's like there there's there's about 1/4 of the game that's [ __ ] awesome and three4s that are just like, eh, you're right. You're just [ __ ] We're just doing similar stuff for a lot of it. The beginning is really cool and the ending is [ __ ] amazing. But there's like this chunk of like six hours and that really loses itself in the middle. It drags. Like my harsh thing is Max is being maybe a little more harsh than No, mid mid is a B. A is a B. Mid is a B. No, no, no. But mine's on a grade scale. I would say this. I would say like the the the mechanic doesn't hold out for as long as the game is. No, they don't. It doesn't like escalate to a point where it keeps you engaged the whole time. Unlike Pragmata where it literally escalates all the way into the last shorter too cuz this is where pacing is like important. Yeah. Or like it's a sweet tent. The core mechanic is cool. And again, it's not like they don't give you new things. They do give you new things, but they're they're not mid is a six, [ __ ] What the [ __ ] A five or a six chat is a D minus or an F. So here's my thing. There's mid, good, excellent. Mid C, good, B, excellent. A I think mid should be. No, no, no, no, no, no. Wait, wait, wait. C is average. It's is lit legit in the middle. Huh. But no, but average in a grade scale, right? In a grade scale, there are six levels of failing, right? Five to six failing, right? But you're talking about educational grade, right? And that's what I that's I use the grade scale. So, if we want to do like one to five, then it would be like a two and a half. You would say DK is a two and a half or a three. I would say it's a three. I would say it's a four. If it's if it's a if it's a grade scale, I think it was like a C plus. Are you saying average isn't mid? Cuz average is mid. Average is the exact equivalent of mid. Yeah, that's what that's what I'm saying. So then that's So I'm right. So that'd be a 75%. C is mid. I said C is mid. Uh B is excellent. Oh, no. B is um B is above average. However, B is above average. The last two hours of the game are like a nine or a 10. Like they're extremely good. So he's right. Chad's confusing. I use the grade scale. And a grade scale isn't one to five. No. No. No. So I'm right in in a grade scale. six levels of failure, dude. It's like just under six. So, so you're right to me. Like, yeah, you can have a game that is like failing, but that does some things right because Yeah. And I've got you take a test, you get a lot of things right, but you're not right enough. So, there's the six levels of failure or five five to six levels of failure. The game isn't me. No, it's better than mid. It fell off in a week. Dude, you don't play it. You wouldn't know. I watched people play. It's It's like to me it's a high seven. Well, what would you give the whole thing in the end? Like like on a grade scale be like saying Donkey Kong like 80 like if a percentage wise like scale like 88%. 88 88% 88 it's pretty high. A little more than 85. I think it is good. Like the fact that the game does it doesn't [ __ ] itself. Um like there it's not like a buggy glitchy mess. You know it's welldesigned. The mechanic is is implemented well. The ending is really nice. The first few the first few levels are really nice. I think the definition of what people are getting. People People say the connotation behind what mid is different than what I think. Mid is something that doesn't necessarily stand out very much. It's just completely fine. I mean, if you've seen what the crazy insane [ __ ] you can do mobilitywise in the game that you don't think you you could do. Oh, no. It's got potential, you know? It's it's really cool. I just don't I think the middle kind of loses a little bit. Like the the levels aren't Yeah. I think what's happened now is people see like mid as being like a five and I'm like no no no like a mid is a game that's just completely average which to me is like a seven to an eight like when it gets to an eight is is a C average grade score 70 to to 79. Yeah. If this was if this was a a test at school, you know, and you got a C, C is considered average. Yeah. And I I would literally give Donkey Kong a C plus, Where it's like high7s, the chat just said you're mid. Damn. Yeah, that's crazy. Damn. Damn. That's right. Wait. This is good. It's a good thing because it's a 70 to like 90 to 100. So, that's actually really good. So, it's it's a good scale. To me, the more the thing that pisses me off more than anything really was the fact that they launched the [ __ ] postgame mode as DLC 2 months. Pretty scummy. And it was two months after the game and they charged you $20 and it was barely anything. $20 people. I watched what that was so I could download it and play it with Ripley and I'm like, "Oh, it's like nothing. It's like nothing." I mean, people people swear by it because it's, "Oh, it's really addicting. It's really addicting. It's really deep." And I'm like, "This is 2 months post game and you're charging 20. My My biggest issue is that the the tech the cool tech aspect of the game went away in the first 3 hours. I wasn't even thinking about like cool smash tech. It was incredible in the first few hours. Like this is so [ __ ] cool. And then it kind of vanished and never came back in a way that was like, oh, the tech is really evolving and not really. Yeah. At its beginning. Yeah. And it was just sort of a thing getting in the way of me like sometimes having fun like extra keep doing Smashy. And I was like, "Okay, okay, keep smashing." But the idea is kind of like uh what was it like Red Planet? I think it was old Red Faction. Red Faction, right? Where you could destroy everything. And the gimmick is cool up until up until like it's not until it's not. I mean, imagine being on Mars and you can blow up everything. After a while, you're like, I don't want to do this anymore. Like, okay. I had a good time with it. I had a good time with it. I do think the game is It was kind of forgettable in the end. I mean, the game is good unless and and to be real, it's a way better launch game than like New Super Mario Bros. U was like that was a terrible launch game and and it's [ __ ] y'all. It's a better launch game shows off hardware. It's a better launch game than Luigi's Mansion. I think I talked about it. Sorry. It is. Didn't we start Launch Legacy or have we done it? Like it never it never did that. So yeah, it's always introducing new mechanics and visuals and things and hell I just No. I mean like Bonanza's Bonanza is great. It's It's Bonanza. I don't remember the music in Bonanza at all. No, the lagoon layer is great and then and then it's like who gives a [ __ ] The only thing that that people remember is Pauline songs which to me sound like kids bop versions of Star Wars Cantina music. The moment he gets a power up, right? Like it just sounds like if you go to Ogus Cantina or you listen to Jabba's, you know, Jedi Rocks, you know? Yeah. It's just Pauline doing the kids bot version of those of that [ __ ] and people like that. But like and like the ending music is really good when they bring back all the the classic DK music. Yeah. But like no to me that's where I really there was no like vibes music. That's where I really kind of like was really disappointed with Bonanza cuz I'm like Odyssey has great music and you know a lot of the 3D Marios tend to have fantastic music and Bonanza's music is just like they just they do not know what to do. like uh like the the 3D Mario team, they do not know how to do Donkey Kong music.
