Hosts a first-hand look at finding and sharing unusual kitchen ideas that hint at the broader theme of creative YouTube niches.

Weird, simple YouTube channels can mint six-figure incomes; Shane Hummus breaks down real examples and monetization angles you can imitate.

Summary

Shane Hummus curates a list of surprisingly uncomplicated YouTube channels that pull in six figures a year, and sometimes much more. He previews a live workshop where he’ll share exact growth and monetization strategies, including a niche validator tool powered by GPT. The video flags common pitfalls and emphasizes practical, data-backed paths to profitability rather than chasing viral luck. Hummus then dives into concrete channel cases—from intricate domino-chain channels to ice-cream-rolls and puzzle creators—highlighting their ad revenue and broader monetization potential (apps, sponsorships, merch, Patreon). He peppers in personal results and client stories to illustrate how proper monetization can dwarf AdSense alone. The message is clear: you don’t need to be flashy to earn a serious income on YouTube; you need smart niching, efficient content, and aggressive monetization. Finally, he teases case studies and updates from his own coaching program, inviting viewers to join the workshop for hands-on guidance and real-time channel audits.

Key Takeaways

  • Domino channel Havesh 5 reportedly earns 70–211K per month from ads, with a single video (Insane Domino Tricks) delivering about 192 million views and nearly $1M in ad revenue.
  • Niche down a review channel strategy: Night Walker Lab shows high monthly views (≈400K) while monetizing heavily through affiliate/commercial gear sales beyond AdSense.
  • Ice cream rolls channels can monetize aggressively with very short production times; one video of this format earned about $132K from 76 million views.
  • Faceless or hybrid personal-brand channels (like Drawing with Waffles) can succeed if the creator uses the hybrid personal-brand method and proper monetization beyond AdSense.
  • Tech channels (Techmoan) benefit from multiple revenue streams (affiliate links, sponsorships, products) and can reach six figures even if AdSense alone is modest.
  • Zach of All Trades, a case study channel, demonstrates rapid early success (214/day revenue a month after first video) when paired with coaching and the right approach.
  • The workshop offers a path to niche clarity, audience growth, and monetization optimization, with opportunities for interactive channel audits and monetization coaching provided by Shane Hummus.

All right, guys. I've been in the kitchen and I found some amazing weird YouTube channels that look dead simple, but they make six figures a year or in some cases a lot more than that. So, if you appreciate me making this type of video, let me know by gently tapping that like button. And let's jump into it right after a quick disclaimer. You are going to be motivated, inspired, and most importantly, educated on what works when it comes to starting a YouTube channel and what doesn't work by this video. With that being said, the vast majority of people who try to start YouTube channels fail. Just like me, the first three or four YouTube channels I started before I knew how to do it the proper way. And I don't want that to happen to you. I don't want you to waste a ton of time failing over and over again. And so that is why I am doing a live workshop this week. All right, guys. in the editing process right now. And I just wanted to mention that if you're struggling to grow on YouTube, you're having trouble getting views, subscribers, making money, or even picking a niche. I'm going to be hosting a free one-time live workshop that goes over exactly how to help with that, how to finally profit from YouTube.com. So, make sure to mark that down and also make sure to click the link in the description and the pin comment below so you don't miss out. And if you attend live, you'll also have a chance to be the one person I pick for a real time channel audit once we move into the interactive portion of the workshop. And if you feel unsure about what niche to choose or you're worried that your niche might be too broad or it's not profitable enough, then this workshop is for you because I'll be giving away the niche validator pro 2.2 completely free. This is the latest and most optimized version of my GPT powered niche validation tool. And it helps you instantly test and uncover profitable YouTube niches before you waste time creating content that doesn't bring in leads, sales, or money. It's smarter, faster, and trained on even more data from real profitable channels. And I'll be giving it away completely free, but only at this live workshop. And just a heads up, this might be one of the last times I give this tool away for free because I'm planning on making it into a actual software. So, if you've been on the fence, this is definitely a good time to pick it up. Now, during the workshop, there's a full presentation on how to grow on YouTube, followed by Q&A, where you can ask me questions directly on Zoom. And people do ask a lot of questions the majority of the time about niche. And many people walk away with niche clarity during the session itself. And the same strategies I teach are the ones that help clients like Nicole, who went from 85 subscribers to $85,000 in a single month. Seth, who went from years without a viral video to immediately getting 300,000 views right after starting working with us, or Davis, who scaled from a 100K a month and was able to remove himself from recording. And even people who aren't clients like Isaiah were able to make $20,000 only using the free content and live workshop strategies. So, make sure you show up, click the link in the description or the pin comment to register and add it to your calendar so you don't miss the chance to grab the niche validator AI. And if you miss the date, that's okay. Check the link still to see when the next workshop is happening or to sign up to a list that will tell you when the next one does. So, see you Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Now, back to the video. Let's get started with the first channel on the list, which is Heavesh 5. Now, this channel makes 70 to $211,000 a month. Absolutely wild. And this channel is all about Domino creations. So basically, Havesh says, "I design, build, and topple dominoes to make beautifully intricate chain reactions." And that's exactly what she does on the channel. Now, like I said, according to Vid IQ, she makes 70 to $211,000 a month. According to view stats, she makes 96 to $267,000 a month. So, even more. And her most viewed video, Insane Domino Tricks, got 192 million views and made $961,000. So, she made enough to retire in some areas at least in one video. Oh, and she's gotten 2.3 billion views. So, she's made probably like 10 times more than that. And that's just from AdSense alone. Just the ads that pop up on her channel. We're not even talking about her website where she sells stuff or the stuff in her description or sponsorships or affiliate links or any of that. She's probably making way more money than that from that other stuff. So, yeah, dead simple channel. She may or may not be monetizing correctly, but even if she's terrible at monetizing, she's still making easily seven figures a year from this channel. But if she's good at monetizing, she might be making high seven figures, maybe even eight figures from this channel, which is wild to think about. And that's actually something I help a lot of YouTubers with is monetizing correctly. Whether you're a beginner or you're an advanced YouTuber, a lot of people struggle with this. So, click the link in the description in the pin comment below to attend the live training and you'll see exactly how I help people. All right. Next channel is Night Walker Lab. Now, when you look at this channel, it says it only makes about 1 to 2K per month. And by the way, this channel basically just reviews lights and gear for professionals working in low light, high-risk situations. Now, like I said, this channel only makes about 1 to 2K per month in AdSense, but they're getting around 400,000 views a month. And I guarantee you, because I'm familiar with a lot of niches out there, that they are selling a ton of this equipment. And they are making a ton of money doing that. So they're reviewing the equipment and then they're making a ton of money selling it. The five key design features that make this the best. So this is yet another type of channel. You can do a review channel where you just review very random niches. In his particular case, it's usually like tactical flashlights or basically just different things that create light. And this is another thing is review channels in general are relatively saturated, but if you niche down, that's the important part. You have to niche down with the right niches, you can have amazing amount of success. And that's exactly what he did. He niched down and he only talks about light related topics like tactical flashlights or different ways of lighting things etc. All right, next channel is Karen Puzzles and it's exactly what it sounds like. It's Karen doing puzzles, specifically jigsaw puzzles, but she does other stuff on her channel too, but that's the main thing. And she's making about $2 to $5,000 a month on this channel. According to Vid IQ and according to View Stat, she's making about 1 to 4,000. And like I always say, that's just from AdSense alone. Now, her most popular video is this one right here. I bought my dream puzzle, 24,000 pieces, part one. I feel like I need to study the picture a little bit. And she got 1.94 million views and made $9.3,000. Now, a lot of us like doing a puzzle from time to time, right? I I do a puzzle maybe once a year, but most people don't want to make it their whole job. But she's really into puzzles, and so this would be boring/w weird for most people out there, but she's really into it, and that's cool. And guess what? there's probably a lot of other people out there cuz there's 8 billion people in the world that are also into it. Now, of course, she has a Patreon. She also puts links to the different puzzles in her description. So, she's also making money from that. So, I would assume she's probably making at least six figures a year from this channel. All right. Next channel is Techmoan. And this is a channel that reviews the worst and best of new and old technology. So, just as an example, the Nixie watch, prison tech, the most expensive music format, and movies on vinyl. Now, according to Vid IQ, they're making 2 to 6K. According to view stats, they're making 3.6 to 10K just from AdSense alone. And this video right here, the Nixie watch got 5 million views and made $25,000. And here it is. It holds two Nixie tubes behind the Mineral Glass. Now, on top of that, obviously, these tech channels make way more money from other things outside of AdSense. They can, you know, put affiliate stuff in the description. A lot of them have sponsorships. A lot of them sell their own products and services. is this guy also has a Patreon. So, I'm sure he's making way more money from other stuff and he's at least making six figures a year from this channel. And by the way, the reason I know that is cuz I work with so many people in so many different niches and I know approximately what the different niches make, both from AdSense and then outside of AdSense. There's some niches where, to be honest, it's tough to make money outside of AdSense. But there's a lot of niches out there where you can make money in a hundred different ways outside of AdSense and you can make way more money. Just as an example, this channel you're watching right now, I make about $20 per 10,000 views from AdSense, and I make over $400 per 10,000 views from all other monetization sources. On my second channel, which is a niche channel designed to target business owners specifically, I make over $4,000 per 1,000 views. So, 20 times more and 200 times more than what I make from AdSense. And that's because I know how to properly monetize channels. If you want to know how to do that as well, click the link in the description in the pin comment below and attend my live workshop. All right, so this next channel literally just makes ice cream rolls on camera. Don't even talk or anything. And they make 7 to $21,000 a month doing that. So they do it in Thailand style. Ice cream rolls, I guess, came from Thailand. Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure they're very common in Thailand. And this video right here, for instance, ice cream rolls, Cadbury Dairy Milk, chocolate ice cream, fried Thailand rolled ice cream roll, got 76 million views, and made $132,000. They made $132,000 from a video that probably took them 20 minutes to make. Absolutely nuts. And yeah, the channel is still rolling, making 7 to $21,000 a month. They gotten 1.7 billion views, so most of their money came in the past. And I would estimate they've made somewhere between five and 10 million dollars from this channel. Next channel is Drawing with Waffles. And this channel is Faceless. So they basically have an avatar that represents them. And this is something that you can make work, but only if you do what's known as the hybrid personal brand method. This is something that I'm going to be teaching in the workshop. There's a wrong way of doing like faceless or YouTube automation style content, and there's a right way of doing it. And if you do it the wrong way, you're really screwing yourself over, and you're going to be leaving like so much money on the table. it's going to be way harder for you to grow as well. So, make sure you do it the right way. And this channel likely is doing it at least semi-right. But they're making about $2 to $6,000 a month just from AdSense alone. And of course, they are making a bunch of art. And then according to view stats, they're making 2.7 to 7.5K per month. And again, that's just from AdSense alone. And this video redrawing every single page in my first sketchbook more than 10 years later, got 17 million views and made $88,000. I had the sketchbook. I was like, how do I draw? So, I actually went on YouTube. Now, with this type of channel, if Ren here is properly monetizing, she's probably making far more than just the AdSense alone on her channel. You never really know with YouTubers cuz some of them are really, really bad at monetizing, but I would estimate that she's making at least six figures a year from this channel. Now, the next channel is Zach of All Trades. This is actually my brother's channel. He started about 8 months ago. This was his very first video on the channel. It blew up. Got over 800,000 views. I'm giving you the trades that are actually paying the most right now. One month after posting his first video, he was already making $214 a day, which is a $78,000 year run rate. And his channel is going in the right direction. I'll actually be giving you an update on how his channel's doing in the live training. So, click the link in the description, the pin comment below to see that and also how we were able to grow the channel because basically, I used his channel as a case study to show you guys how easy it is to do this and how possible it is to do it if you know the right things to do. And so again, attend that live training to check that out. And additionally, Zach actually worked one-on-one with myself and my team. So honestly, that's one of the biggest reasons why he was able to get results so fast. Now, of course, you can learn it on your own. It's just going to take a lot longer. And I know that 99% of people who watch my videos are just going to enjoy my free content, enjoy my live trainings, which I also do completely free, and we're never going to end up working together. And that's completely fine. But for the 1% of you out there, maybe 0.1% of you out there that do want handholding, you want somebody to really get you there as fast as possible without spending too much time, effort, money, headache, heartache, etc. to get results, then go ahead and apply for the coaching. Click the link in the description and the pin comment below to apply for that. We're very picky about who we accept. We only accept about 18% of the people who apply cuz we want to make sure that you're the type of person that we can get results for. So, make sure you're careful when you answer the questions. You watch the video. You make sure to look out in your email for us to send you the emails. Watch any videos we send via email. The people we typically work with are people who are very serious about growing and making money on YouTube and they want to start right now. YouTubers who are already crushing it, but they want to crush it more. YouTubers who are getting views, but they're having trouble monetizing. And business owners who want to grow their YouTube channel to get more views, grow their brand, nurture their audience, and get more leads, and of course, make more money. So, if you're one of those four types of people, click that link in the book a call. It might also be in the about section on my channel, and I look forward to seeing you there. And also, click this video here for a case study for one of the clients that we worked with that was very happy with the results we were able to help them get.
