Summary

Twitch kicks off TwitchCon Rotterdam 2026 with host Mary Kish setting a celebratory, community-first tone. The event highlights Rotterdam’s role as a record-breaking hub for VTuber meetups and Minecraft moments, while teasing what’s coming next for streamers and fans alike. Vu Buoi from Mojang confirms Minecraft’s big arena presence and capes excitement, and the session slides into a broad showcase of Minecraft Live updates and a surprise sponsor donation to support charity. The keynote from Twitch CEO Dan Clancy outlined three core focus areas: a sharper viewing experience (including mid-2026 rollouts of dual-format streaming and 2K+ bitrates), a reimagined clip workflow (auto clips, captioning, and easier sharing via stories), and stronger monetization options (custom powerups, creator badge drops, gifts, and expanded sponsorship tools). The program also spotlights the value of mods (Mod Appreciation Day) and highlights Twitch Unity Guilds expansion with three new guilds: Indigenous, Disability, and Asian. Classic Twitch moments are celebrated through community clips, charity initiatives with Zerator, and a Europe-bound shift announced for next year’s TwitchCon location in Berlin. The day closes with Canerps biking from Hamburg to Rotterdam and teasing a future TwitchCon Europe in Berlin, promising more memories and community-driven connection.

Key Takeaways

  • Dual-format streaming will let creators broadcast both vertical and horizontal layouts simultaneously, with mobile viewers seeing a full-screen vertical view and others retaining the classic horizontal format (mid-June rollout).
  • 2K streaming at 1440p and higher bitrates (9 Mbps for 1440p, 7.5 Mbps for 1080p) will be available to partners and many affiliates, improving clarity during fast-paced gameplay.
  • AutoClips testing shows 50% of streamers have a clip after a stream, while auto clips raise that to 85% for clips-ready moments, with beta expansion and a waitlist.
  • Mod Appreciation Day is celebrated with a new chat badge for mod club founders and a stronger automod enhancement to detect evolving spam patterns, plus new Twitch Unity Guilds (Indigenous, Disability, Asian) to broaden creator communities.
  • Creator-sponsorships activity is expanding, with more campaigns via Bounty Board, regional support growth (EU/Asia), and Twitch gameplay demos to showcase partner titles.
  • Twitch is removing currency conversion fees for SEPA payouts in euros in EU countries, improving revenue retention for creators.
  • Gifts and hype trains are evolving (including a future mythic train and higher-tier gifts), along with gifts-them-all rolling out in the coming weeks to amplify generosity during streams.

Please welcome head of community Mary Kish. Hello, TwitchCon. How are we feeling today? Welcome to Roderdam round three. Yes, this is already our third year coming together in Roderdam. And at least for now, it's the final time we'll be kicking off TwitchCon in this room. We've had a lot of fun here in Roderdam. This was the site of the largest Twitch community meetup in history. Over 700 of you came together in one room to celebrate the VTuber community. We saw iconic Rivals moments like the Minecraft Championship Color the World event where fans brought color back to the MCC world and the rival stage. And of That's right, it's right here. And of course, Roderdam is where we as a community have consumed over 100,000 bitterbball. I will miss those most of all. Where we'll come together for TwitchCon next year, no one knows. Hopefully Dan will have more to share about that. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. We have an amazing two days planned for you, a packed schedule, and plenty of time to make memories we'll never forget. We have all the TwitchCon staples from the Drag Showcase. Yes, please. to streamer meet and greets to creator camp panels to Twitch rivals action right here. There are meetups for horror and nonh horror VTubers, VR chatters, the Pride Guild, and so many more. We love it. There are Q&As's with Twitch execs where you can ask all your burning questions. And for those of you who are here to experience the finer things in life, there's a root and tootin line dancing event and even a workshop where you can sample a curated lineup of Dutch cheeses. You're welcome. That is to say, there's just like on Twitch, there's something for everyone here at TwitchCon. We love TwitchCon. And if you're here for Minecraft, you're in for a very special weekend. Please welcome to the stage here from Mojang Vu Buouie. Hi V. Hi Mary. Hello everyone. We're so excited to be here with so many members of the community. It has been a while since you've been part of this type of convention. Vu, how does it feel to be here? It feels amazing. It feels really great to just be close to the community. It's important for us to be close to our creators and meet people face to face, have these fantastic conversations because Minecraft just wouldn't be what it is today without all of you. That is absolutely true. One of the best things about TwitchCon is that we get to bring together all kinds of gamers and creators. Can you tell us what we can expect from Minecraft this weekend? Yeah, there is so much going on with Minecraft this weekend, both at the event and for those of you watching from home. We've created an entire arena here dedicated to all kinds of Minecraft stuff. Tubbo is going to be doing midoffs all day today. We love Tubbo. Exactly. Curryway is doing their 10,000th speedun. Tomorrow we have gridlock. But one of my favorite things from this whole event is actually that there will be capes. There will be capes. Everyone's excited about these capes. Yes. And the Minecraft arena. Yeah. It's super cool in there. You have to go check it out. Our partner LEGO have built this amazing, beautiful interactive booth. Of course, there'll be photo ops and meetups. We have a bunch of mini games you can play and we've brought something pretty epic from Minecraft Dungeons 2. And later on today, there's going to be a bonus Minecraft Live happening. Yes. Uh for anyone who doesn't know, Minecraft Live is our regular show that features all the newest happenings from the world of Minecraft. The last one was just two months ago, but being here at TwitchCon, we had to do a special bonus episode to celebrate just being here with you all. So Agnes and Smeager, they'll give a sneak peek into our upcoming game drop. We'll do updates from the sequel to a Minecraft movie. Yes, I am Steve. And we'll hear from the devs working on Amazing. This is so exciting. Tell everybody when this is happening. Okay, so Minecraft Live is happening today at 5:30 p.m. Central European time, 8:30 a.m. Pacific time. That's like just 7 hours from now. Okay, you have no excuses. I can't wait to stop by. Thank you, Vu. Everybody give it up for Vu and Minecraft. So cool. Now, you may have noticed when you sat down there was a I love my mod sticker on your seat. That's because in addition to this being the first day of TwitchCon, it's also mind it's also mod appreciation day. Can everyone give it up for their mods? And if you're in chat, go ahead and spam the mod love emote that we made for Mod Appreciation Day. You guys, mods are the heroes of chat. We know this. We have to give recognition to mods and they deserve it. and we're going to show them some love on our biggest stage. To help us do that, please welcome to the stage Ambassadors Scain and Susie Rocks. Hi Sy. Hello Susie. Hi. Um please for anyone unfamiliar, please tell us a little bit about yourselves. Of course. Well, my name is Susie. I've been streaming for more than five years now already. And actually, this is my first TwitchCon, so very excited to be here. Welcome. And hello to everyone. My name is Escain. I have been streaming for six years and we come from the Spanish community. So, so thank you to Rotterdam for being here. Amazing. You are both here to talk a little bit about mods. Susie, I'm going to start with you. Please tell us a little bit about your mods and what they mean to you and your community. Of course, I would like to thank all of my mods that have helped me throughout the years. From Balenix and Eddie who have been there from the beginning, from when I streamed for 10 people in chat to Gali, Arancha, Sini, everyone who's helping me nowadays, they organize amazing surprises for my birthday. They help keep the community together and that's amazing. And all of their efforts make the community closer and way more fun. It's true. Scain, same question. Do you have any uh similar experiences with your mods? Yeah, my mods carried my whole career. I'm a complete mess. The streamers were a bit a bit messy, you know. So, the mods carried my whole chat, my whole community. So, thanks to them. They are called Unai and Mr. Padilla. They carry the whole thing. So, I think that they they are really a key a key part of my success. So, thank you to you guys. If you chat, you carry the whole thing. A Well, this year at TwitchCon, there's a lot of mod love to go around. SK, why don't you tell everybody what we're doing? And that's right, there is a a chat mod and software devs community meetup powered by the Twitch moderators club. That one is happening later today. So, swing by to the chat and grab some mood theme goodies. And we also have a mod wall in artist alley where you can write a kind message to your favorite mods. And in true TwitchCon fashion, the fairy mod will be roaming the show floor this weekend, giving away some Mod Love swag. They're running around right now. They're running around right now. They're the fairy mod mother. So, if you see them around, go ahead and say hello. That's That's right. If you see the fairy mod, go take some pictures and they have some goodies for you. Yeah. So, this year's mods appreciation day also goes beyond TwitchCon. We are so excited to share a new feature coming to the Twitch to help give mods the recognition they deserve. That means a lot. That's right. And we're offering a limited time chat badge, which hopefully you will see on screen. There you go. Looks amazing. Clean. Clean. Yeah, there you go. And we're offering that to founding members of the mod club. This badge will be exclusive to mods who apply and are accepted into the moderator club by the end of June. So, don't miss out. And to all the mods, uh, we see you. We love you. Thank you for everything that you do for your communities. And happy Mod Appreciation Day. You got the whole thing. Thank you, Kane. And thank you Susie Rock. Thank you mama papa. Give them a hand. Now since last TwitchCon, you have been making some incredible clips with your communities and they deserve to be watched on the biggest stage. To help us do that, please welcome one of our newest Twitch ambassadors, Annie Fuchsia. Hello, Annie. Hello, Annie. Thank you for coming. Thank you for having me. Please tell everybody a little bit about yourself. Hello. So, I'm Annie. My Twitch channel is Annie Fuchsia, and I've been around for a while. It's such an honor to be an ambassador. know I've been streaming since 2014. So, a bit of a dinosaur around here. We call them emojis here. Thank you, Annie, for joining us to talk about some clips. And uh let's get right into it. Yeah, let's do it. So, one of the best parts about being live is that anything can happen. And some of those moments make for clip magic. As the kids say, absolute cinema. First up is a clip from 39 Daff who woke up to a surprise visitor in Poptopia. What the She's playing it cool. I did not play off screen. It I can explain. What you do on your own time is none of chess business. Next up, we have a bit of a more wholesome clip. This is from Cakes 77. I'm going to set this up. So, Cakes is a game developer and they developed their game uh TangD on Twitch. So, they were like making it. The chat was super involved in the production of this game. And this clip is them looking at their day one sales at the same time. Take this. Okay. Oh my god. This is 30,000. So sweet. So wholesome. Fun fact, that clip understandably went viral, which led to even more sales of the game. The This is cake checking the number just a few days later. And take a look at the number at the top. Okay, I'm I'm looking. Oh my god. 245,000. It's incredible. That is so sweet. Uh 10D is the game. So, uh, amazing and and congrats to that dove. Um, our next clip is from Warwick and Evanito and it definitely qualifies as peak gameplay. And trust me, I can't stop jumping back in. I'm not doing anything. I'm literally not doing anything. I know I'm drunk, but I'm not this stupid of me. You know you listening. Walk away from it. Walk away. I'm trying. I'm literally out. There was something on the ground in front of me. Sometimes you get one v one by a jellyfish. Our next community clip comes from Creator, who had an unexpected reunion live on Twitch. Nathan, don't ever call me Nathan in your life. It's James? Do you mean J from high school? Yeah. Is that you? Yes, I'm not joking. Well, I got to tell Chat. Chat, this is my old best friend in high school. Haven't talked to him for 10 years, randomly playing marathon. He hears my voice and goes, "Hey, Nathan." And I thought it was a stream sniper. So, I say, "Don't ever call me Nathan in your life." I was actually telling one someone at work how we used to go to the internet cafe in town and just stay up all night playing like Warcraft. Oh my god. Remember when I got food poisoning and mom had to come and get me? Yes, that's what I was saying. I spit you in marathon. That is so funny. Dude, what is going on? This Tik Tok's going to get like a million views. Turns out Creator was wrong. That clip actually got 21 million views. And uh because of that, he bought his high school buddy a new computer after this. A you can find your favorites on Marathon. Finally, let's watch this clip from Jinny or should I say this clip from Jinny. Jinny's cat. Uh-huh. Bless you. Annie, it is a pleasure to go through all of these clips with you. Thank you for joining me and going through some of our best moments. Thank you so much as well. And thank you everyone here and at home in chat as well. And I hope you guys all have a great Twitch car. Yay. Thanks everybody. Thank you for coming. Give her a round of applause. There are more great community moments than we could possibly show on this stage, but that did not stop us from trying. Let's take a look at some of your best moments from the last year. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. My name is Cliff. Are you ready? Let's go. Okay. Daddy wants to play. Somebody please. Is he okay? No, he's not okay. I hate everything. I hate everything. I hate everything. My life is in your hands, everybody. It explodes now. I think I'm pregnant. Dad, mom, I'm a Twitch partner. I have a million brothers and sisters. Let's go. Go community. Goodbye all round. Thank you. I am extremely happy to have all of you here. Thank you. Thank you very much. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. No, I'm joking. Okay, that's good. The Twitch community has a history of supporting great causes. To talk more about what's happening next with charity, we have a special guest who's been leading the charge for a decade. Please welcome to the stage, Zerat. Hello. Hello. Twitchcon. Thank you for having me. Zerator. You are basically synonymous with charity on Twitch. You and your communities have helped raise millions for more than 20 charities. It's incredible. Thank you. Please tell us a little bit about your mission and what inspires you to do what you do. Yeah, so like 10 years ago, French community decided to create his own charity event uh called Z event. It was inspired by AGDQ and stuff like that and we raised about uh many millions 50 55 millions euro during 10 years. So this is amazing community. French community is amazing. A few weeks ago, you just revealed after 10 years, you'll be hosting your final Z event. Can you tell us more about that? Yeah, this is the end of a great loop. Uh this is not the end of charity for French community. There is there is also many big charity events except the event. But uh we are at the end of of our loop. This is the the biggest the event ever. We will do a big massive final party with everyone. We hope to break every record. This will be absolutely incredible. I expect it to be. That is incredible. And you're also at TwitchCon, which is so awesome. For everybody here, tell us a little bit about what you're up to this weekend and where people can see Yeah, we are hosting a PUBG tournament in the LAN event. I hope you guys will join us to celebrate this. So there is a big tournament with 100k cash prize and 30 are are fighting for that. It's uh this afternoon from like 5 to 10 p.m. around this and this will be streamed on my channel of course. Of course. Um well everybody can see that here. Zerat, we have a surprise for you today. You and your community have done so much good on Twitch. We will be donating 50,000 euro to get your charity started. Let's win that record. Because Oh my god. Thank you very much. You are welcome. They told me they told me they had a surprise for me, but I I didn't know what was that. And Twitch have always been really supportive with the event. So, this is really cool. This is on September, by the way, not now. We're going to hold it for you. Keep the money. Don't worry. Don't worry. It's okay. It will be secured on the locked account for sure. Uh so, yeah. Thank you very much. Thank you, Twitch, for the support. Thank you everyone for the for the for the strategy event and all of that is amazing. Thank you for being here, Zerat. Everybody give it up for Zerat. Thank you very much. Next up, we're excited to talk more about what we've been building for you. So, please help me in welcoming to the stage our Twitch CEO, Dan Clancy. Hello, TwitchCon. So, it's great to see everyone here and welcome back to Roderdam. So, we've got a lot planned for you this weekend, and it all starts now. I'm Dan Clancy. I'm the Twitch CEO. Um, so, as we always do, I'm going to spend some time talking about the features that we've been working on to help you build and foster communities. But before we start, I want to take a moment to thank our sponsors. Without their support, we wouldn't be able to celebrate here together. Thank you. So live streaming is bigger than ever. The rest of the world is discovering the connection, the belonging, and the fun that you can find on Twitch. Something you all have known for years now. A lot has changed in streaming since Justin Con first went live 20 years ago. But the foundation of Twitch has not. It's still all about streamers, growing communities, and creating belonging day in and day out. This is why our mission at Twitch continues to be to create belonging by enabling streamers to build community. But today, streamers have brought Twitch to the forefront of pop culture. In France, Squeezy and his friends took over an iconic Formula 1 circuit to make a competition of his own, GP Explorer. Squeezy gathered 20,000 people IRL at Lemons and had 1.4 million peak concurrent viewers, establishing a new French viewership record. So shocks and cage rolls the league awards in Munich showed how Twitch creators are reshaping esports. This celebration of League of Legends grew into an event that brings together pro teams, broadcast talent, creators and fans, all as part of the same cultural moment. Now, in March, QSMP season 2 marked the return of Quack's multilingual Minecraft project. It featured 50 streamers across 10 languages using realtime translation to help creators collaborate and tell a story together. Chatters from around the world were able to follow an unfolding narrative and surprise moments, no matter which language they spoke. Miss Mika brought together Annie Fuchsia, Alina, and Stormfall 33 for Under the Northern Lights, a three-day charity stream live from Iceland. These streamers raised over $60,000 for Save the Children, and turned their once-ina-lifetime travel experience, including the Northern Lights, into something that thousands got to experience on Twitch. So, your creativity is driving live streaming to new heights. The world is paying attention like never before. We want to help you continue to do what you do best. So, let's get to what we're working on for you in the year ahead. Now, we have three main areas of focus. First, we're continuing to invest in improving the viewing experience on Twitch, both for the rapidly growing mobile audience and for the desktop experience. Second, we're making it easier for you to create and share clips and making clips a more integral part of the Twitch experience. And third, we're focused on improving monetization by making it more fun and rewarding for your community to support you. So, let's start with the work we're doing to improve the viewing experience. Okay, we want to create a great experience whether you're on mobile or desktop. And a great experience on mobile starts with vertical video. So that's why I'm excited to announce that in midJune we are finally bringing dual format streaming to everyone. Dual format lets you stream in both horizontal and vertical formats at the same time. So viewers on mobile will see a full screen vertical view optimized for mobile devices and viewers watching um everywhere everywhere else will see the classic horizontal format. So when you're viewing on mobile you get an optimized layout when you're holding the phone vertically. You can switch to classic split view if you want. And when you turn the phone from either view you're back in full screen horizontal. Now, we're streaming this keynote in dual format right now. So, if you're sitting here and want to see what it looks like or if you're watching at home, take out your mobile phone and you can try it out for yourself. I know I checked it backstage and it looks great. So, throughout the beta, we've gotten a lot of positive feedback. Streamers are telling us that they love being able to customize their vertical layout because everything is already formatted for vertical viewing, which makes clipping and sharing to social so much easier. Now, we made noticeable performance improvements during the beta 2. If you don't know, dual format uses enhanced broadcasting technology. This uses the client to encode multiple variants of your stream to viewers. Now, we've added server side transcoding for partners and many affiliates to offset the strain that this can put on your systems. So, less strain on your system, higher quality for your viewers across every format. Now, as part of enhanced broadcasting in mid June, we are also launching 2K streaming to all partners and affiliates on Twitch. Going live in 2K at 1440p resolution allows for more detailed streams. And we've also bumped up bit rates across the board up to 9 megabits per second for 1440p and 7.5 megabits per second for 1080p. So streams look sharper and more consistent even during fastplace gameplay. Now, as we continue to improve the viewing experience, we've also been working on updates to notifications to make sure your viewers know when you're live. Now, some of you have notice noticed that we've added avatars to notifications to make your live ups feel more personal and help them stand out to your community, a chain that significantly increased engagement and drove more viewers to your streams. Soon, we'll be adding additional notifications while you are live. For example, if you change games, bring on a guest, or hit a hype train record, we'll update your community based on these events midstream to let them know what's happening and encourage more viewers to join in on the fun. Now, speaking of joining a stream in the middle, have you ever shown up at a stream and wondered what's going on up to that point? So, today I'm announcing our new midstream summary feature. So, stream summaries will generate a brief synopsis of what has been happening in the stream so you can jump right in without feeling like you missed out. Now, we're going to continue to experiment with what is the right information and level of detail to provide viewers as we roll this out. All right. So, now I want to talk about our vision for clips on Twitch. Live content is the heart of Twitch, but even the most dedicated community members can't always be there for every moment. Great moments get missed, and finding clips later, whether on social media or a streamer's channel, can be a hassle. So that's why we're continuing to invest in clips in making them easier to create, share, and discover. Our vision is that by the time you receive your stream summary email at the end of your stream, you should be able to quickly select a handful of clips to provide a recap, kind of like a highlight reel from your stream, so you can easily share these clips both on and off Twitch. The first step in making it easier to create and select is to create and select great clips to share. Now, we started testing auto clips last fall. AutoClips automatically generates captioned clips from the best moments from your stream by taking into account chat activity, vocal inflection, and onscreen events. One of the features that I love is you just say, "Twitch, clip that." Then we'll automatically create a clip that is easy to share later. So currently only 50% of streamers have a clip to share after any given stream. But for streamers using auto clips that number is up to 85%. And so this is particularly helpful for smaller streamers that often do not have clips at the end of their stream. Okay. Um now we've gotten a lot of great feedback in testing. We're moving to baiting in to beta in the coming months. Signups are open now. Scan the QR code to join the wait list. All right. Of course, many of you already have lots of clips, but it takes lots of effort to enhance the clips to make them more engaging. So, starting next week, we're beginning to roll out the ability to enhance community generated clips using some of the same technology we've been developing as part of AutoClips. So, this will start with the ability to add captions to your community clips automatically, and you'll be able to edit text, timing, and style of your captions on your clips, so they're optimized for viewers watching with sound off. We're also exploring other capabilities to enhance your community clips, such as autocropping and trimming. Now, we want to make it we also want to make it easier for you as a streamer to quickly select the best clips to easily share on Twitch. Starting in June, we'll show you a sorted list of the best clips from your stream at the top of your stream summary, so you can step through them and quickly share the ones that you like to your stories feed to create a highlight reel. If after looking through the clips we've selected, you think we're doing a pretty good job, we also have the ability for you to quickly share the first five of these clips to stories with just one push of a button. So, let's talk about now how we're evolving the viewer experience to make it easier for people to see your clips. It starts with evolving the stories feed to focus more on clips. We found that the most valuable part of the stories feed is when streamers post clips. And so we are doubling down on this capability. By sharing clip recaps to your stories after every stream, viewers who missed you live will have an easy to find curated selection of clips ready to help them catch up. They'll be able to react to your clips, giving you strong signals about the best clips to share off Twitch to reach new viewers. And of course, one reason to share your clips to the stories feed is to make it easy for your community members to keep their watch streaks going. So, there are two ways your viewers will find these clips. First, they'll be able to directly navigate to the stories feed just as they can today to quickly catch up with their favorite streamers. We'll also be adding clips from your favorite streamers into your live feed so you can get caught up on the action and ready for the next stream. Of course, all of these clips will also be accessible in the clips feed to help expose you to new viewers. All right, now let's talk about helping streamers make more money. I know an important topic. So, we've been exploring more ways that communities can come together and have fun, all while helping you earn more. We introduced powerups a few years ago as a way for the community to have more fun by interacting with your stream. Viewers can use bids to do things like gigantify an emote or add visual effects to their chat messages. But, we want to make it so streamers can make power-ups that are as unique and fun as their channels and their communities. Recently, we launched custom powerups which let you interact with your community with rewards that you create. You set the powerups, you set the bits amount, then chat brings the energy. So, during our beta, Ash said, "Hi, created a custom powerup to wear a hot dog costume for the rest of her stream." Selena set a custom power up where Garfield appears over the screen and roars. And Melissa made one called Pickle Time where pickles fly across the stream to music. Now, we've also seen streamers make custom power-ups to help decide which character skin to use, to guide a raid, to pet their dog, and more. We can't wait to see what you come up with next. We also recently launched creator badge drops, which gives you a new way to reward your viewers. You can design custom chat badges that commemorate big moments from your stream, including subathons, gaming milestones, or partner versions. Your viewers can then earn the badge for a limited time by hitting your unlock requirements, either watching a certain number of minutes or gifting a certain number of subs. To give you an idea of what's possible, these are just a few of the creative badges we've seen so far from streamers. Now, during testing, streamers who set up custom badges for their event saw up to 50% more gift sub revenue on the first day of the event. Um, now with gift subs come hype trains. Yes, we all love hype trains. And earlier this year, we tested a new kind of hype train called a community train where viewers who didn't spend were still rewarded with emotes. Yes. When we found that these rare trains can earn two times more than standard hype trains soon, we'll be launching a new mythic train. This rare train will reward contributors with a bonus golden version of an emote, including Pog Champ, Cool Cat, and What Face, which can then be used for 24 hours across Twitch. These special types of hype trains will randomly kick off on a small percentage of all hype trains. So, be on the lookout. All right. Now, we've heard feedback from both streamers and viewers that you want tier 2, tier three subscriptions to feel more unique and rewarding. Now, we know chat loves to share what's on their minds using emotes. So, we're excited to announce that we're partnering with Gy and soon higher tier subscribers will be able to add gifts in chat. And yes, streamers, you will be in control. Yes, important. You can turn the feature off, decide how often gifts can appear, and moderate which gifts can appear on your channel channel. Now, some of you mo may have noticed that lately we've been experimenting with a new gift them all sub feature. It lets a user give subscriptions to all the viewers who are watching and follow the streamer. So, up to a thousand gifts at once. So, this feature isn't always active. So, when you see it, you have an opportunity to make magic happen. This is a powerful new way to make a big difference, especially for smaller, more close-knit communities by gifting everyone in a single generous moment. So, you'll start seeing gift them all pop up in the next few weeks. So, another way streamers are earning more is through creator sponsorships. Our work here is designed to help bring sponsorship opportunities to streamers of all sizes. Now, we're still early, but this year we've already seen three times the number of streamers participating in creator sponsorships compared to 2025. So, for years, we've had requests to expand bounty board campaigns to affiliates, and now we're doing it. So, Bounty Board is being integrated into creator sponsorships through what's called open invite campaigns. And these are available for both partners and affiliates. So, as an example, recently Minecraft did a campaign with over 6,000 streamers participating with over half of them being affiliates. We expect more campaigns to be available for affiliates later this year. Um, we've also started to roll out Twitch gameplay demos that can be used as part of a creator sponsorship. A gameplay demo lets viewers demo a game directly on Twitch. No download, no wait, just click and play. So far, we've partnered with THQ Nordic on Reanimal and with IO Interactive on Hitman: World of Assassination. Okay. We'll continue to experiment and look to partner with game studios to bring additional titles to Twitch gameplay ads in the future. And we're expanding regional support beyond North America to Europe and Asia. All right. So, in June of last year, we launched creatorled promotions. This lets creator offer a 30 5% discount on gift sub bundles at a time of their choosing from a partner to their cat's birthday. Now, we've seen over 450,000 promotions since launch, and channels running gift sub discounts are seeing 80% more gift subs during promotional events. So, seeing the positive impact for these promotions have for streamers, we increase the total promotional hours offered over a year by 20% to 96 hours. This gives creators even more opportunity to offer discounts when it's best for their communities. Now, next, I want to talk about some updates coming for Drops, which reward you with items you can't get anywhere else and are massively popular for creators, viewers, and game devs. In the last year, over 36 million viewers claimed a drop on a streamer's channel. And drops that require a subscription to unlock put an additional 11 million in streamers pockets. We've updated the drops experience to make it easier to see which drops are available in a channel. Um, how to earn them and where to track your progress. And we updated users inventory pages on both web and mobile mobile so you can easily find your favorite drops. All right. Finally, for monetization, if you're a streamer in an EU country that uses the euro, you've been losing 1 to 2.5% of your earnings to currency conversion fees. And we're getting rid of that. Starting this summer, we will now be able to convert your SEPA payouts to euros with no conversion fees and lower transfer costs. More of your money stays your money. We'll notify you once the update is live. All right. I want to close out with a few announcements for our guilds, our mods, and everyone who loves them. As Mary shared earlier, today is our annual mod appreciation day, which we created for our entire community to show our appreciation for these incredible community members. So, please everyone, let's give our mods another round of applause. We want to recognize and celebrate mods who do so much to keep our community safe. So, starting next week, we're going to be showcasing mod anniversaries in chat. This will this feature will follow the format of subscriber anniversaries, but on a six-month cadence instead of monthly. So mods, if you've been helping streamers build communities for six months or six years, we want to celebrate all your contributions with We also want to give you more time to do what you do best, which is support streamers and help build community. So to make your jobs easier, we've been working to improve automod so that it can adapt based upon the moderation actions taken. So let's say someone comes into chat and tries to solicit spam in the form of an ad for sneakers. In the past, our system may not have caught new forms of spam that different word choices like shoes, footwear, kicks, and so on. So soon automod will be more capable of connecting these dots and taking action. Now there are no changes needed on the streamer or moderator side. It's fully automated, slowly updates over time each and every time a moderator takes an action. As always, moderators stay in control of whether or not these messages are shared. Um, now we've also got some updates coming from our guilds program. Twitch Unity Guilds are official creator run spaces which are meant to give people a place to earn, share, inspire, and grow. So, guild membership is up to 8,000 streamers across four guilds. Today, I'm excited to announce that we're welcoming three new guilds. Now, to help me, we've got a video featuring guild members, Simply Artha, Trash, and Rers. What's up, TwitchCon? Hello, TwitchCon. Hey, TwitchCon. We are so excited to announce three new guilds today. The Indigenous Guild, the Disability Guild, and the Asian Guild. I joined the Unity Guild because I wanted to find that community, that place that I could seek mentorship and learn how to become a better content creator. Ever since joining the Twitch Unity Guilds, I have met so many more people all around the world. I get to be surrounded by fantastic, talented, like-minded creators who just get it. I'm very excited to be a part of this guild, bringing all of the Asians from all around the world and just celebrate all of that all together. A lot of hard work has gone into creating the indigenous guild. The indigenous guild is a place to highlight and uplift indigenous voices and so it's just very inclusive and supportive space. Being a disabled content creator, the struggles that we have are so unique. We've needed this space to support one another and I'm very excited now to have it. We are currently accepting new applications to join the new guilds as well. And you can also apply to become community specialist. Submit your application and join us. Well, you just did what I was going to ask you to do next, which is to give a big welcome to the Asian Guild and Ind indigenous Guild and the Disability Guild. If you're interested in joining any guild, you can scan the QR code here um and apply. All right. Now, to close everything out, I have one final announcement to make. What could it be? But I'd like someone to come out and help me. So, one streamer just finished riding a bike here all the way from Hamburg. So, please help me and welcome to the sk to stage Canerps. Come on out, Canerps. and his bike has already been shipped back. We were gonna have him bike out, but All right, canerbs, thanks for being here. Let's get right to it. What do you have to tell us? Well, I'm here to proudly announce the next TwitchCon location in Europe. It's coming to my hometown, Berlin. So, any of you that had voted on Berlin on the Poly Market, which I don't think existed, that's where we'll be. We're going back to where the first TwitchCon Europe was held back in 2019. Okay, Canerbs, tell us why you think Berlin will be such a great city for TwitchCon. Well, Berlin is really open-minded. There are a lot of creative communities and you can be whoever you want. It's my favorite city. It's awesome. Well, you're a little biased though. Yeah, I'm biased. All right. So, so normally for the last three years, you've biked here. This year, what what did you bike on this year? So, this year I came with my two friends, Ronnie and Dean, and we were cycling from Hamburg with one one bicycle for three persons. It was amazing. And that was after coming in a duck last year. Yeah, exactly. Okay. Every year I I try to schedule so I could join him for part of the trip, but my schedule never accommodates next year. But next year I have to How What are you going to do? You're already in Berlin. Well, maybe we're coming from from Roterdam to Berlin then. All right, there we go. So all of you that want to go in a train of bikes, maybe you can get a whole bunch of our Dutch streamers to go with you next year to Berlin and welcome them to the city. Nice. Exactly. For now, let's make this last TwitchCon in Roderdam a TwitchCon to remember. If you see me around, come say hello. You can find me at the Cappa Cabana with a bunch of Twitch music streamers from 5 to 6 on Sunday. Thank you all for being here. Have a great TwitchCon, everyone. All right. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. N.
