Summary

Shane Hummus curates a look at several “weirdly simple” YouTube channels that are pulling six-figure incomes. He spots new creators like Ayaka Restarting from zero, a Japan-focused channel that started just weeks ago but already earns $2–$5k/month from AdSense, and explains why it could grow further with smarter monetization. He also profiles older, steady performers such as Ian on YouTube, Salary Man Tokyo, and Japan Chronicles, illustrating how personal storytelling and topical Fascination with Japan combine to drive substantial ad revenue. The video emphasizes the allure of authentic life-documentary formats—whether the creator is sharing triumphs or struggles—and how these formats scale when paired with niche interests. Throughout, Shane underscores that YouTube incomes aren’t limited to flashy production; many successful channels rely on simple content, consistent posting, and smart audience targeting. He also teases a free live workshop and a limited-time AI tool giveaway (Niche Validator Pro 2.4) to help viewers implement these strategies. Concluding with a nod to broader niches like Christianity and retirement-focused channels, Shane argues that profitability isn’t constrained by topic, but by the creator’s ability to monetize and grow a loyal audience. The segment invites viewers to join his upcoming training to learn niche selection, view growth tactics, and monetization plans.

All right, guys. I have been in the kitchen finding these YouTube channels that are weirdly simple that are making at least six figures. I'm going to be giving you examples of newer YouTube channels making money and also older channels and how much money they can make down the line. And these are going to be educational and also extremely inspirational as well. You're going to find a bunch of really good examples that might inspire you to create a YouTube channel yourself or pivot your existing YouTube content, help you get views, help you pick your niche and all that good stuff. With that being said, if you appreciate this content, let me know by gently tapping that like button. And let's jump into it right now with this channel right here. And that is Ayaka Restarting from zero. This is a girl who lives in Japan and her first video was called 31-year-old divorced starting over in rural Japan. No friends, no savings. Now, this channel literally just started 3 weeks ago, so it's not even a month old, and they're already making an estimated $2 to $5,000 a month. That's just from AdSense alone. That's just the ads that pop up on their channel. When this channel starts properly monetizing, they're going to be making a lot more money than that. Now, you might be saying, "Well, Shane, you know, she's technically not making six figures a year." Yeah, the channel just got started. She's definitely going to be making six figures a year if she keeps posting. The point is, I'm showing you a channel that just got started a few weeks ago. She's already at 40,000 subscribers, and she's already crushing it. And this is just from AdSense alone. If she learns how to monetize correctly, she's going to be making a lot more than that. Now, the interesting thing about this channel is I think it combines two different sort of niche trends on YouTube. One of them is that people tend to be extremely fascinated about anything that has to do with Japan, especially day-to-day living and Japanese work culture. And then the second thing is people, especially in the modern day, like with what's happening right now, tend to be very fascinated when people share their struggles. So, let me show you examples of other channels that are doing exactly this. Ian on YouTube originally blew up his channel by making videos like this. Why am I 30 years old working a deadend retail job and just got fired from my three-year job working at 7-Eleven with no warning? And then day in the life of working a dead-end retail job at 30. Now he's making $3 to $8,000 a month again just from AdSense making these types of videos. But he made far far more than this. For instance, he was getting like $500 donations on his channel for a long time. I think I checked his comment section and he must have gotten like 10 or $20,000 worth of donations in one video. And he's probably monetizing from other ways as well. Now, combine that with people's fascination with Japan. For instance, Salary Man Tokyo making $2 to $6,000 a month in a down month. And that's just from AdSense alone with his most popular video getting 6 million views and making $30,000. And I think you see what I mean. And by the way, that channel's only one year old as well. So that channel is relatively new, too. And so you can see that Ayaka, her channel is basically a combination of this fascination with Japan with also a lot of people talking about bad things happening in their lives. And honestly, there are probably dozens, if not hundreds of channels that are just dedicated to Japan. People have a huge fascination with Japan. It's not just Japan, it's other countries as well. But yeah, Japan Chronicles, $9 to $28,000 a month, just as an example. And so these are weirdly simple YouTube channels where you literally just document the things that are happening in your life, right? So if good things are happening, you can document it, right? You can maybe teach other people how to do the good thing that you did. Or if bad things are happening, you can document it and talk about what you're learning from the mistakes. So whatever is happening in your life, whether it's really good or really bad, you can put it on YouTube and document it. to help you avoid failure. I actually have a free live training, a free live workshop that I'm going to be doing on Zoom called the greatest business to start in 2026. So, go ahead, sign up to that free live workshop by clicking that link in the description in the pin comment below. I'll be going over all the things you should do, all the things you shouldn't do, and a simple step-by-step plan to actually get results on YouTube. This system is different than what anybody else teaches. Nobody else teaches YouTube like I do and it's why we've been able to literally get hundreds of people results. And the Zoom workshop is completely free. And then afterwards, I'm going to have an after hours Q&A session where you can ask me literally any questions you want. And if all of that wasn't enough, we're also giving away an AI that we've been working extremely hard on, the Niche Validator Pro 2.4. I've personally put tens of hours into this in the last week to make this AI as good as possible, and we're giving it away completely free. And this is going to help you take your YouTube game to the next level. And we're only giving it away this week. So do not miss out on that. Click the link in the description, the pin comment below. All right. So the next weirdly simple channel that's doing extremely well is going to be in the religion niche and specifically Christianity. Now, this particular channel is called It's God's Plan, and they make about $750 to $2,000 a month according to Vid IQ. According to view stats, it's a little bit more, about $1.1 to $2.9,000 a month. And you might be thinking, "Well, Shane, this channel's not making six figures." Well, first of all, I wanted to show you kind of a newer channel, and I wanted to show you how many different niches there are within one niche. So, this particular one is all about kind of keeping a happy marriage from a female Christian's perspective and a probably a perspective that not all female Christians have as well. So, keeping a man happy is simple, but most wives are too selfish to even try. That kind of thing. She chooses to disrupt his piece by nagging him. And this actually reminded me of one of my clients as well, which is Damian and Kennedy. This is a couple's channel and they basically talk about how to find your ideal partner that I think they called it like a kingdom partner. And then also once you have the kingdom partner or you think you have them, how to identify them and make sure it's the right person. And then how to keep that person, how to have keep like a really good relationship. And I know that this channel is making a full-time income even though they are only making $263 to $790 a month from AdSense because I just interviewed them. You can check out their interview on my channel. And there are tons of other Christian channels on YouTube like the Christian channel making $4 to $11,000 a month. So people are obviously very passionate about this. I'm a Christian myself. I watch these from time to time and it can be really good content and there's so many different types of channels as well. And by the way, if you want to learn more about how we help Damian and Kennedy grow, that will be available in our live workshop this week. It's completely free. There's literally no reason why you shouldn't be able to attend. Click the link in the description, the pin comment below. Make sure you set aside an hour or two to attend the workshop. We'll teach you what to do, more importantly, what not to do, a step-by-step plan. We'll help you pick your niche. We'll help you get views. We'll help you get subscribers. We'll help you pick the right video ideas. And we'll help you monetize so that your channel is actually sustainable and it's not just a hobby. Do not miss out on it because we'll also be giving away a free AI this one time that we work super hard on and this is a one-time live event. So click that link in the description in the pin comment below to attend. Next channel is going to be Buffed. And I think this is a really cool channel cuz you're basically buffing your brain because it's brain plus eye training. Now this channel is making $2 to $7,000 a month and it's a relatively new channel. So this video for instance, how fast can you read got about 2.1 million views. This video, FPS eye training improve reaction time and tracking got about 1.8 million views. This video, how good is your focus attention challenge, got about 751,000 views. So, yeah, they're relatively simple videos that just test your focus or your reading speed, etc. And they can help you buff your brain. And they're making $2 to $7,000 a month. And the channel is just getting started. They only have about 14 videos. Now, this channel right here is Easy and Tasty, and it is a cooking channel that is dedicated to helping you make easy and tasty meals. Like, that's what it's all about is just super super simple meals. They're making 13 to $40,000 a month. And their most popular video is rice with eggs is better than pizza. I cook it almost every day. And that video got 12 million views and made $21,000. So, yeah, there's so many different cooking channels out there. There's so many different types of cooking channels. You've really got to like find your niche if you do a cooking channel, but it can be really, really good if you find the right niche. All right, next channel is retirement survival. This channel is making 7 to $21,000 a month, and they're doing it making dead simple videos. So, this is an older gentleman. He's in retirement, and he makes these dead simple videos just recording on his phone where he talks about random retirement related topics. I had about 5,500 subs. Uh, and I made $1,200. Now, I could get into this for a long time, but basically, older creators are absolutely crushing it on YouTube right now. For instance, I started my own brother and a month after starting his channel, his very first video blew up and he was making $214 in a single day. That's Zack of all trades. I'm going to be talking about that during the live training. So, definitely click the link in the description in the pin comment below to check that out. But YouTube is pushing older creators left and right these days. So, Retirement Survival, an example of one of those channels. Dead simple thumbnails, dead simple titles, retired and broke for instance, dead simple content in general. And he's absolutely crushing it on this channel. And he's not even monetizing correctly yet. This is just from AdSense alone. He's making 7 to $21,000 a month. Another example of a channel like this, he's one of my clients, is RJ the Unretired. Posted his first videos about 5 months ago or so. Had one video pop off a little bit. And then about 4 months ago, he had one really take off and get over a million views. Within two months of starting his channel, he was already making about $28,000 a month, just completely crushing it on YouTube. And one of the biggest reasons is because older creators that attract an older audience make more money because advertisers are willing to spend more money to get in front of an older audience cuz they have more money. And plus, there's way more stuff you can sell an older audience as well. So older creators are blowing up left and right. It's easier than ever for these types of creators to blow up. There's so many different niches that you can blow up in as well as an older creator. So, if you're in that situation, definitely attend the live training. Click that link in the description in the pin comment below. We can give you everything you need to get started. Now, with that being said, I know 99% of people who watch these videos are just going to watch our free content. They might attend our live trainings and that's it. They're never going to work with myself or my team. And the truth is that's totally fine. We want to give 10 times more value than we ever receive at least. With that being said, we literally have the number one YouTube coaching program in the entire world, but it's very exclusive. We only work with certain types of people. And here are the types of people we work with. One, people who want to treat YouTube like a professional. They want to treat it like a business and they want to start right now. Two, business owners who want to get more leads and grow their brand on YouTube. Three, YouTubers who are getting views, but they're struggling to monetize. and for YouTubers that are absolutely crushing it and they want to crush it even more. So, if you are in one of those categories and you want to start right now and you're ready to take this very seriously, you can apply by clicking the link in the pin comment in description below or in the about section if it's not down there. We only accept about 18% of the people who apply. But if you are one of those people and if you want a handholding experience where we basically just make it as easy as possible for you to get results, where you don't have to waste a massive amount of time, effort, and money, and you save yourself all of that trouble, plus you can make way more in the same amount of time, then go ahead, click that link in below. And also check out this video right here where we talk about one of my clients who's over 50 years old who has over 500,000 subscribers now and that is Jud.
