The creator introduces the video topic: simple, quick videos that can generate huge views and even fund major life milestones, with the aim to inspire, motivate, and educate viewers about what's possible.

Boring-yet-brilliant YouTube videos can earn serious money, with simple concepts and savvy monetization boosting views into real real-world rewards.

Summary

Shane Hummus highlights how ultra-simple, low-edit videos have generated extraordinary ad revenue for ordinary creators. He cites the Canadian Space Agency’s “Honey in Space” as a $350,000 AdSense hit from 70 million views, proving that scale can come from curiosity in everyday topics. Other hits include Amazing Science’s “World’s Simplest Electric Train” with 103 million views and $146,000 in earnings, and a one-minute-and-forty-second joke tutorial by Robert Elder Software that netted $96,000. Shane points out that you don’t need a face on camera or high-tech production to win—videos like “What does the speed of light look like on Earth?” can rack up tens of millions of views by showing a crisp concept in a simple way. He also discusses the financial upside beyond AdSense, using examples like Sally71’s viral video that spiked her shop sales alongside $28,000 in AdSense. The presenter stresses educational content with entertainment value as a reliable path to high monetization, and he peppers in live-workshop promos and case studies from his coaching program. Finally, he reminds viewers that most attempts fail, but persistence and smart niching can turn small ideas into substantial incomes over time. Shane uses a mix of real outcomes and practical takeaways to motivate aspiring creators without promising instant riches.

All right, guys. In today's video, we're going to be going over simple, boring videos that in some cases got so many views that people were able to buy houses just with a single video that took them a matter of minutes to make. And I make these videos to inspire you, to motivate you, and to educate you on what is possible out there. Now, there's one disclaimer I always like to have, which is any business that you start has a higher chance of failure than success. And YouTube is no exception. Most people who try to grow and make money on YouTube fail. And that is why I make these videos to try to educate people, show you examples of success. Now, if you like me making this type of video, let me know by gently tapping that like button. And let's jump into it right now with the first one on the list, which is going to be Honey [snorts] in Space. Now, this is from the Canadian Space Agency channel. This channel makes on average about $3 to $9,000 a month just from AdSense alone. and they posted this video, Honey in Space. It got 70 million views and made them $350,000 in AdSense. And it is a dead simple video. It's exactly what it sounds like, honey in space. Now, you might be thinking, Shane, that's cool and all, but unfortunately, I'm not an astronaut and I can't go to space, so I guess I can't do this. Well, first of all, that's not the point. See, there's a lot of things that you just naturally can do based on your job. In this case, this person just happens to be an astronaut and they were up in a satellite floating around space and they decided to make this video. But the truth is, there were hundreds, if not thousands of other people that were in the same position, and they didn't make the video. And it's the same exact thing with any other career or hobby or any number of other things. But back to the point about not being an astronaut, let me show you examples of videos that were made by normal people. So, this one is called World's Simplest Electric Train, and it is from the channel Amazing Science. This video got 103 million views and made $146,000. And it is exactly what it sounds like, the world's simplest electric train. Pretty cool. Probably took 10 minutes to make and probably bought them a house. But you're probably thinking, "Well, Shane, I'm not, you know, scientific. I'm not technical. I don't know anything about that stuff, so I can't do this." Well, how about a joke video on how to make a CPU? Because Robert Elder Software made this video. It was literally a joke on how to make a CPU. Locate the pads on the silicon chip and attach bond wires. And it got 19 million views and made $96,000. And it was a super short video that was about a minute and 40 seconds. So, this video is a joke. And at the same time, it's sort of real about how to make a CPU. And it probably didn't take him too long to make and me made a ton of money from this video. But you might be thinking, Shane, you know what? I don't want to show my face. I don't want to do anything in real life. What should I do? Well, you could make a video like this from airplane mode, which is titled, "What does the speed of light look like on Earth?" This video got 31 million views and made $154,000. And it basically shows the speed of light going around Earth in approximately eight frames, which is less than a second. Pretty easy video to make. Didn't have to reveal their face or anything like that. And it made them over $150,000. So these types of videos that are educational but also entertaining tend to do extremely well. And this is something I like to focus on, which is educational content that's a little bit entertaining. And I like this content because you can get a lot of views, but you also can monetize much much better than pure entertainment content. And it's additionally why I do completely free live workshops, which the next one is called the new way to make money with YouTube. This week only, also giving away an AI that helps you pick your niche, the niche validator pro 2.1. And we're only giving it away and doing this particular live training this one time. So do not miss out on it. Click that link in the description and the pin comment below and also put it on your calendar so you don't miss it. Now, speaking of educational content, this next one comes from BPRP Math Basics, and it's 1 divided by zero. A third grade teacher and principal both got it wrong. It's basically him reviewing a Reddit post. My son's third grade teacher told my son that 1 divided by 0 is zero. It's only about a 4-minute video, but it got 11 million views and made $58,000. So, a 4-minute video where he literally just reacts to a Reddit post, gives a little bit of commentary and a little bit of his opinion on it made him $58,000, which is more than the average income for an American. Pretty good. So, it probably took him about an hour to make, and made him over $50,000. Not bad income for his time. All right, next video is from Sally71. It's Don't Wake Me by Sally71. No Amazon, but only on my shop. www.sal71. sally771.com. So, she had this video go mega viral, and she decided to just put in her title the uh website of her shop, which is either really dumb or absolutely genius. I can't quite tell which one, but it's just a clever little toy that she made. And this video got 45 million views and made her $28,000 in AdSense money. But based on the fact that she's selling it, I'm assuming she got probably millions of dollars in sales as well for her shop. So, she probably made a heck of a lot more money than that. Now, that's something we also focus on is how to monetize properly. And definitely attend the live training if that's something you're struggling with. Click that link in the description and the pin comment below because honestly, most YouTubers are really bad with monetization. All right, this next video is from the Microscopic Odyssey, and the video is called Singleselled Organism Dies. And it is exactly what it sounds like. It's a 2-minute video where it shows a single-sellled organism dying. And this video got 12 million views and made $60,000. So literally they just recorded a video on their microscope of something that happens probably about, you know, a hundred billion or trillion quadrillion times a second, uploaded it to YouTube, and they made $60,000 from it. Pretty boring, pretty simple, pretty basic, and pretty genius at the same time. All right, this next video is from Hickok45, and it's called 460 Magnum Versus Watermelons, which is a pretty great name, and it is exactly what it sounds like. He basically shoots a watermelon with a very large caliber pistol and he got 45 million views doing that and he made over $200,000. That's like a freaking house. Now, the funniest thing about Hickok4 is he basically just records these videos in his free time on the weekends. So, a lot of his videos are him just shooting watermelons with random different weapons. And he just records these videos in his free time on the weekends. And he's gotten over two billion views with this channel, which means if he got $10 per 1,000 views, which by the way, on my channel, I make $20 per 1,000 views and then $400 per 1,000 views with all the other monetization methods. So, the $20 is just from AdSense. But let's just say he got $10 per 1,000 views from his channel. That means he's made $24 million from this channel. Pretty good stuff. All right, next channel is M&J Metal. And this video was how to make Pickle Pepsi at home for free. And this might be one of my favorite videos of all time. So M&J Metal had been posting videos for years on his channel. He had over 300 videos on his channel. None of them had blown up. I think he maybe had less than a thousand subscribers. Then he posted this video, How to Make Pickle Pepsi at Home for Free. Pickle Pepsi is something that KFC came out with. I think they were putting a lot of ad spend money around it as well. And at the time it had only come out in Canada and it hadn't really gotten that big yet. But he made this video, how to make Pickle Pepsi at home for free and it absolutely blew up. Got 8.5 million views. One of the worst produced videos I've ever seen in my life. Looks like it was recorded with a 2007 Nokia flip phone. And he doesn't even show the process of making the pickle Pepsi. It's like it's like me showing you something and then it's like under the desk right here. He doesn't even show it on the camera while he's doing it, which is so funny for a tutorial video on how to make pickle Pepsi. I'm pouring in Pepsi. Like they said, I don't have ice. I never use ice. But this video got 8.5 million views and made him over $42,000 and completely blew up his channel. Now he's got over 500,000 subs and he's made a bunch of follow-up videos that have also blown up as well. So super happy for him. Love this video. And this just goes to show that don't give up because you will eventually find your niche if you post enough videos. Now, you probably don't want to have to do 300 videos before you get one that actually blows up. So, for instance, my brother started posting on YouTube and his very first video blew up. Literally, his first video that he posted on his channel blew up, got over 800,000 views, and completely changed his channel. One month after posting that first video, he had a $214 AdSense day. So, he went from zero 50-year-old, no technical knowledge, never made a YouTube video in his life, barely even watches YouTube to $70,000 year run rate in less than a month. And we're going to be talking about exactly how we did that in the live training that we're doing this week. So, click that link in the description in the pin comment below. With that being said, my brother worked directly in my coaching program. And if you want to apply to work directly with myself and my team, there will be a link to that in the description in the pin comment below or in the about section on my channel. only apply if you're very serious about growing and making money on YouTube and you want to save yourself a ton of time, effort, money, and headache and heartache and just get results faster. Okay? So, only apply if you're in that situation and you want to do it right now. Basically, only apply if you want to treat YouTube like a pro. Treat it like a business. So, that's the first type of person we work with. The second type of person we work with is business owners that want to use YouTube to grow their brand and get more leads. The third type of person we work with is YouTubers who are getting a lot of views, but they're not monetizing the way that they want to yet and they want to monetize way better. And the fourth type of person we work with is YouTubers that are already crushing it and they want to crush it 10 times harder. So, if any of those are you, go ahead, apply in the description in the pin comment below or in the about section and check out this video right here of how we helped my brother grow his channel.
