I I pretty much chose 4K at ultra performance, but I injected a different DLSS into it that allows it to run pretty good. So, we'll see. We shall see. The 5090 is not in there right now. It is not. It is not. I did not have the time to back up everything and do all that stuff. I did not. Path tracing. Oh, yes. Path tracing 4K ultra performance. That's what I'm that's what I'm sitting on. So, uh, yeah, for anybody that doesn't know what the hell this is, big thanks to Capcom for sponsoring the stream. Um, we have been quote unquote looking forward to this. I was an unbeliever for like a solid 5 years that the game was ever going to come out or be any good. Luckily, it came out and is pretty good. Um, is also one of the one of the better technical visual demonstrations out there right now. So Capcom's kind of released Resident Evil and then this and it's like we have two games that are like visually very captivating. But for anybody that has never seen Pragmata before, exclamation point Pragmata in the chat. Um, but yeah, it's like a third person action shooter with puzzle elements and you have to sort of like balance, we talked about it before, like the left side of your brain and the right side of your brain when you're playing this game because you have to aim in third person action enemies, but also like solve things as it's happening. It sounds really insane, but believe it or not, it's pretty intuitive. Um, and that was the impression we got going all the way back to Summer Games Fest last year where it's like, bro, uh, this is sort of crazy. Where we're at right now is after the demo, and we played the demo. We put up videos on it. We talked about it. I've played it like several times. We're just after the demo right now. So, um, for anybody that wants to check this out and you don't want to make the initial investment, the game is out right now. It's on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. But, um, there is just a demo. So, if you want to check out, it's called the sketchbook demo. Um, you can just see how the game plays for like the first chunk of the game. Yeah, this game runs really good if you don't do path tracing. path tracing is very demanding, but I've seen people like running this in 4K on even some lower-end rigs um with DLSS and stuff at like just locked 60. It runs very good. Path tracing though is extremely expensive. Like if you look at my 4090, just for comparison's sake, um where is it? Uh look at this. Look at the processing load, brother. I literally have to drop it all the way down as low as I possibly can to get anywhere close to 60 fps because if we do quality at 4K, we're getting like maybe 40-ish frames per second, maybe 40-ish. And it's just like it is path tracing is very expensive, but it's neat. It's neat that we have the option. tonight. The nice part is that the game still looks really good even if I drop it all the way down to ultra performance, which is Dude, what's what is ultra performance upscaled to 4K? Is that like 720p technically? 720p upscaled to 4K. Is that what that is? Yeah, it's actually a 720p image upscaled to 4K. And it looks good. Like, no kidding. It looks really good. Can these devs do a Mega Man game? I'm just going to be completely honest. Could we get these devs to do like a third person Mega Man action game? That would be really neat. I think they deserve it after like this is a relatively like younger development crew at Capcom from what I understand. Like a lot of the devs on this are not like all veterans. It'd be really cool if they got like a legit actual modern-day representation of Mega Man instead of just games that are old games. You know, Mega Man 11 is just an old game. The new Mega Man is most likely just going to be an old game again. So, it's like it'd be really cool if it was like a a soft reboot of Mega Man in some way. That'd be really sick. I feel like they have a formula here that's very neat. Although it does sort of take away the specialness of this game and the fact that it is a new IP and they found a like they found a way to this is this is this is how you know you're a Capcom fan is that our IPs have been denied for so long that we just want to find reasons to justify old IPs to come back in some way. But when they do something new that also is like isn't as celebrated at times, but it should be because Capcom has so many IPs that people just love, you know, that we're just waiting for moments for them to come back in some way. Anyway, Ender System uh throw a warning limb recycler off the charts. Think about it. Only one tiny scrap or three giant chunks. Power cost is the same. It's using it on high cost items whenever possible. Is that hard for you to grasp? Keep your head in the game, Kevin, or the AI might decide you're the next thing to recycle. Damn. You know, and I understand it where it's like, yeah, you have like a younger development team or something like that or like, you know, that are trying to do something different. So, it's better that they do a new IP instead of like an established thing, which could lead to failure and upset fans and stuff like that. But when you have a new IP, you don't really have expectations, you know, like this is the difference. You don't have expectations. So, you can only impress people. Um, and Pragmata obviously is impressing people. It obviously is like doing it for a lot more than any new Capcom IP in a long So, now I think they've proven themselves where it's like, hey, you know what? You guys have proven yourselves. Now you should get something big. I honestly think that now you should get like, yeah, take this graphics and all the stuff you built and all like the visual style of it, dude. Make a Mega Man game. Holy hell. What if this was the new Mega Man X or something like that? Imagine like an absolutely beautifully animated Mega Man X in like this style. And he's like doing all these crazy transformations and you're flipping and flopping to different modes on the fly and dashing all over the place and hacking like I don't know, man. It just be It feels like it's so rich for opportunity. That's weird. Instead, like Mega Man is an IP that is specifically sort of held back. The only the only new Mega Man you games you get are pretty much old games. Blow it up. That's cool. I think I'm going to turn path tracing back on. I think I think this is great. I like it a lot. The upgrade components and the um the increase of your devil trigger are pretty similar like visually. I can't go in there. Yeah. You know what I wasn't expecting? I was not expecting this to be the closest Capcom game to a Souls game. I was not expecting that. I did not get that impression from early from the demo. I didn't get that impression from the early play test, any of that kind of stuff. I did not get that impression. It's not a Souls game straight up, but like all the enemies respawn. The levels are super interconnected, like you know, multifaceted level design. You fight like a big boss in the end and stuff and it moves and is connected in a world that you come back to at your Firelink shrine to upgrade stuff and move forward. When you die, all the enemies come back and you got to go back and you don't drop your souls or anything like that. So, Castlevania, Metroid Vania. Well, I mean, the biggest difference between Castlevania, Metroid Vania is that that's traditionally done best in 2D, right? And chat, yeah, you're not wrong. All all Dark Souls, Demon Souls, Souls games are is Castlevania and 3D for the most part, but like very well executed. The problem is the 3D Castlevania games aren't done super well. Some of the old ones, you know. So anyway, yeah, some levels feel like they're interconnected and but you're interconnected by a uh like a teleporter. So I guess not. You know, 3D Metroid Vania in a way that that's pretty much what a lot of Souls games are. Not exactly the same, but either way, all I'm saying is that I was not expecting this to be that. And I'm sort of like pleasantly surprised by the way we're doing stuff and how things are happening. It's kind of like fascinating. hacking duration. I can get a big upgrade now. Defensive units are a class of weapons designed to overcome overpower opponents. They can decisively turn a fight. Yeah. Okay. So that my defensive gun is on down abilities. More repairing 1,200 overdrive. Hey, I can afford all this cuz I've been killing so many dudes. They don't want you hoarding ammo. No, they sort of give you resources the way that like a a boomer shooter does, which you clear out an area and then you get a bunch of rewards, you know, after you've beaten it. They're resources, not permanent upgrades, which is kind of very Boomer shooterish. There's a lot of old school in this game, you know?
