Host reacts to a real Street Fighter movie trailer, noting retro aesthetics, casting vibes, and anticipation while comparing it to past adaptations.
Maximilian Dood digs into Mouse PI for Hire and Pragmata clips, praising the hand-drawn, retro vibe of Mouse PI and the surprisingly solid, path-traced visuals of Pragmata on PC.
Summary
Maximilian Dood brings a high-spirited, fan-focused take to two very different game experiences. He shares behind-the-scenes vibes from Street Fighter movie chatter and Capcom/Legendary Pictures collaboration, then dives into Mouse PI for Hire, emphasizing its hand-drawn, 2D-on-3D boomer-shooter feel and the noir-noir mystery vibe of the game. He notes the game’s retro sensibilities and the way it channels Roger Rabbit-esque animation, including dialogue with quirky characters like the stage designer and a detective narrator. On Pragmata, Max admits his earlier skepticism but highlights how the demo impressed him with its path-traced lighting and lunar setting, praising Capcom’s visual ambition and the game’s surprising polish. Throughout, he peppers in concrete examples (Troy Baker’s voice, the lab under Bandal’s mansion, and the “mass production array” upgrade in Pragmata) and openly shares troubleshooting during stream setups. The stream also doubles as a casual gear tour—talking frame rates, DLSS options, and how he nudges hardware to reach stable 60fps while keeping visuals crisp. The overall takeaway is a love-for-the-details vibe: embrace the cheesiness of Street Fighter’s live-action roots, celebrate bold art direction, and keep an eye on how indie and major players push technical fidelity in 2024-2025.
Key Takeaways
- Mouse PI for Hire is a hand-drawn, 2D-on-3D boomer shooter where every weapon, NPC, and UI is drawn by hand in a rubber-hose style.
- The game leans into a Roger Rabbit-meets-noir atmosphere, with dialogue-driven exchanges (e.g., the stage designer and Wanda) and deliberate retro-campaign aesthetics.
- Max comments that the trailer for the Street Fighter movie nods to ’90s animation and SF2, embracing the source material’s cheese rather than shying away from it.
- Pragmata’s PC version looks strikingly strong with path tracing and DLSS, and Max praises Capcom for sticking with a delayed project and delivering a visually ambitious title.
- Stream logistics: he toggles frame rate settings, DLSS presets, and even comments on the balance between cinematic visuals and smooth, real-time gameplay on high-end GPUs.
- Quotes from Max are used to illustrate his enthusiasm and skepticism—while acknowledging the game’s strong visuals and its bold, nostalgic tone.

Transcending history and the world. A tale of dudes and souls eternally retold. Heat. We all need to shine to see how far we come on our journey to go. Searching for our star deep in the night. Pray in my heart for that special light to shower me with love to shower me with power to sh car. Shine. Yo, what's up, dudes? Jeez, do we have a busy night tonight. My god, that just sort of snuck up on me. Hi. Hello. So yeah, we're checking out uh Mouse PI for Hire. I just got it up and running.
Uh pretty cool for them to sponsor the stream for a little bit as well. I've got uh Praguna as well. There's a lot happening tonight. So we're going to check both of these out. Um so many games. Freaking so many games. My god, dude. Um also, let me like align myself over here. Uh yeah, the kind of the the big news of the day is that um there's an actual trailer, like a legit trailer and not a teaser for uh the Street Fighter movie. And um yeah, that pretty much looks like a Street Fighter movie, you know, which is which is crazy because I've seen several other Street Fighter movies that aren't really Street Fighter in many way.
Um so anyway, yeah. Uh it it I like that it felt like retroy, you know? I like that it felt that way. And you know what? Before Before we get into it, I have to uh preface this that uh there was a pretty cool opportunity a little while back for myself and a few other FGC people because of uh Capcom and Legendary Pictures where we got to uh literally take a tour of the lot, you know, and I was like, can we actually share this stuff? And then they gave us the pictures and stuff and they actually gave us a tour of the lot.
We got to talk to a few actors, hang out with some of the production crew. It was crazy how many people in the production crew knew me. Like that was actually kind of throwing me for a loop was that like people that were working on the movie, they're like, "I've been watching you since like, you know, when you first started posting Third Strike videos." And I'm like, "Dude, that was 27 years ago. That was 27 years ago. So yeah, obviously like Yipes Justin uh a few other like influencers and content creators and stuff got to go.
We just got to take like a cool tour of the set. For a lot of people it was like crazy glitz and glam like wow Hollywood stuff. And to me, it brought me back to being a kid because my dad uh worked on the WB lot, you know, he wasn't he wasn't working in the movies, but he was working in like production stuff behind the scenes. And uh yeah, it was like this is all very familiar to me. Big soundstages and studios and all this kind of stuff. And I'm like, this is all just kind of familiar to me.
So anyway, uh all the production, the crew, folks at Legendary Pictures, uh Capcom, they were all very like cool and receptive. They were super interested in like they felt like they were very fascinated by what we had to say about stuff and wanting to know our uh our impressions and everything. They were they were very much like eating up the things that we had to say about, you know, everything Street Fighter. So, it was very cool, dude. It was extremely cool. Uh I have a couple more pictures. Um I think this is Andrew Koji who plays Ryu.
you know, there was plenty of other people there, like many others. I don't remember the names of, but I got to meet Boss Logic for the first time. It was super sick, dude. And uh so this was a little while back. The the craziest thing is that the trailer comes out and it's like you might like see portions and parts of a movie when you're on set. Did you meet Cody? We only met so many people, you know? Uh it was pretty much Andrew and I believe it was Noah who plays Ken. Super cool guys.
Like ridiculously cool dudes. Just completely normal people, you know what I mean? Um, so we didn't it's like the entire cast and crew is there. That's not how film production works. Like not everybody is on set at one time. So, uh, yeah, we just got the fil to chill and hang out while they were like filming stuff and go over things. Um, just as an example, you know, it was just neat. It was just neat being there. Um, yeah, Justin was there. Yipes was there. They got they got some FGC figureheads. It was pretty cool.
Um, and then you know I I feel like I feel like I feel like Ken aka Noah I was sitting here just like, "Hey, can I get a picture, man?" And he's like, "No, we're filming the fight scene right now." And I'm like, "Damn, holy crap." Uh, so yeah, it was cool. It was very cool. It was just a It was just a very fun experience to be there. Um, and the thing is like you you you show up on set and they tell you about the movie and you see things and like have an understanding of like what's going on with it, what's going on.
Um, but you don't know how like the movie is going to turn out. And when I was on set, it was like Brad Pants, thank you. When I was on set, I was like, "Oh, this is uh this feels very retro, you know? It feels like" And that's when we found out the movie's like in the '9s, and I'm like, "Oh, okay. Wow." Okay. So, the movie very distinctly feels like, and this is from the impressions that I had from like now that we've seen this and now we've seen um like the trailer, uh it's trying to be an older movie, you know?
It's trying to be a movie literally from uh the '90s. It's trying to it's trying it's like a throwback in terms of they're going back to Street Fighter 2, aka Super Street Fighter 2 era, where like 1993 is like the the the goal of the film, the lighting of the movie. Yeah. And like a lot of people like the light the the light the way the movie looks is just really not what I was expecting and even we got some impressions of that from like a little while ago. Um yeah, I kind of liked like the color palette, you know.
Uh how are all of you in your 40s? Shut up. They got the UNS the UNK crew. Um, anyway, uh, I'm I was really happy to see like cuz you don't again you don't know if that's going to be the case when you're like seeing things in in motion because when in editing, behind the scenes, any like that can all change like all of that stuff can change. So, uh, I was pretty happy to see that with all the grievances, we were kind of like looking at the early casting and all that kind of stuff like I don't know, man.
Like what the heck is going on with this? Um, yeah, the the trailer pretty much is exactly as I thought in my impression of what the movie was going to be. So, I'm looking forward to it. I mean, obviously they were nice to us. They were super nice to us. Uh, and they were very receptive of like old school Street Fighter fans and things like that. So, yeah. I mean, I I we could talk about the trailer a little bit. The problem is is that the freaking trailer the freaking trailer uh is uh you know got like a a an undistributed Tupac song in it and it also has what's going on.
Like the music was like I'm like I remember first hearing the song and I'm like this music is a choice and then it started like really going with the the the the theme of the video a lot and I was like oh okay I get it. It is unfortunately DMC hell. Um I did see that Steve saw it and yeah I I do like like he said the same thing that I was thinking like oh they're leaning into some interesting narrative stuff here like Ken and Ryu are not immediately like friends and stuff like that.
So I'm like ah so what the heck are they setting up? And it also seems like you know that Ryu is not the main character of the movie. It seems that it's like it's like a Street Fighter 2 tournament or something like that instead of the first one. We can put it with subtitles on. Yeah. Um I still want to check it out because I like I like the look of the film. And I I noticed one thing as we were looking at it. Let me just bring up the freaking trailer. I'm going to bring up the trailer and I'm going to um like flip it horizontal in case it's going to flag.
Uh let me do that. Did I turn on the heater? Why is it hot in here? Um hold up. Street Fighter movie. So yeah, I mean again big shout outs to Capcom, my my friends at Capcom and Legendary Pictures for including any of us in some of the behind the scenes and stuff like that. That was very neat. They did not have to do that. Um and it was right at like the tail end of production. So, you know, they were just ready to be working on the movie for like a whole bunch more time.
Um anyway, let me see. Let me do this just to see. Was Ken always a douche in Street Fighter 2? Have you seen the Street Fighter 2? Yeah, Ken's Ken's a [ __ ] Wait a minute. Like the SF2 animated movie, Ken's a [ __ ] Like he's he's a cocky rich boy and the the only person that brings him down to earth is Ryu. So like effectively Ken is sort of losing who he is in the Street Fighter 2 animated movie is like the the de facto standard of like characterization for Street Fighter characters. They literally like made Street Fighter characters and that [ __ ] you know.
Um so yeah, no, no, no. Ken's Ken's a [ __ ] and he gets grounded by his training partner, you know? Like that's sort of been his thing, you know. Uh hold on a second. Let me do this. I think I can do this really easily. transform unlock. Let me just flip this horizontal in case it flags. Yeah, let's just do that. I'm going to look at it backwards and I'm going to enable subs so we can at least look at stuff and I can like review it without being on my phone. Who actually cares about Street Fighter story?
Well, it is a movie, right? And here here's the here's here's what I've always said. Uh the best liveaction Street Fighter thing outside of Ral Julia as Bison, that in itself is the greatest Street Fighter thing ever made. You know what I mean? But it it Ral Julia could not even save a a really bad 1994 Street Fighter movie. It he could not like he's the whenever he's on screen, he chews up the time. Like he literally like consumes it. Everyone else around him looks like lame in comparison. Um so all the subs are backwards.
Damn it. Damn it. We'll be fine. Um, so like outside of that, not many people saw it, but there's a little liveaction show called um, and it's a show, not a movie, called Street Fighter Assassin's Fist. Um, which is specifically about like Ryu and Ken in their younger years in like the alpha years growing up and being taught by Master Goken and there's the conflict with Akuma. It's very good. It actually really tries to make like a coherent story out of those characters. It's and but it's not really a movie. It's like it there's a lot of episodes to it, you know, like there's it's pretty much like a mini show.
No, Rocka Rocka did not make that. No, that was not them. So, to me, like they got a really good they got a really good grasp of the characters and [ __ ] but they root it in like they they try to really ground it. You know what I mean? It's it's slow. It is slow because it's building character, which is fine, but that's the problem where it's like Assassin's Fist would not play necessarily super well in a theatrical run, you know? Like for its format, I thought it was actually mad cool, but like dude, you literally have like a few Street Fighter characters in it.
Like that's the big challenge of that [ __ ] is that you you get like what four Street Fighter characters tops throughout that entire series which is rough because it's Street Fighter and there's like an expectation that there needs to be like characters like you want characters to show up. So I get it where it's like yeah I like it a lot but does it make for like a great theatrical experience? I see why they're doing what they're doing here. And I see why they did what they did there, but I also, you know, Street Fighter 2, the animated movie, also did try to try to put in as much of that stuff as possible, and it came out pretty good.
you know, like SF2, in my opinion, this is just my personal take, uh the best the best telling of any Street Fighter story that ever has been, the best like theatrical telling, in-game telling, anything like that, uh is this, for those of you that have never seen it, I have to pull up the actual image. Um, is this Street Fighter 2 the movie? Uh, and funny enough, Street Fighter 2: The Movie, um, which is an anime. It's an anime feature length film, uh, from literally like 1994. Uh, believe it or not, this creates the story of Street Fighter Chat.
Like, Street Fighter did not have much of a story. It had characters had some backgrounds and things like that, but Street Fighter did not have that much of a story uh, before this. So by the time this comes out, Capcom pretty much copies this and they're like, "Oh, so this is just the story of Street Fighter moving forward." So when by the time Alpha 1 comes out, a ton of stuff from Alpha 1 takes directly from Street Fighter 2, the animated movie, and most things that come after that do. So it's like, yeah, to me, this still the AMV.
I won't, but it's it's godlike, dude. You can get it on Blu-ray. Like this movie is legit amazing. If you can somehow The uncensored versions are available, too. there's actually like like some pretty crazy violence in there. Um, so it's great. It's just a wonderful movie. Uh, so anyway, all I got to say is that like comparatively speaking, I see like a lot of the the tone and elements in this live action come kind of close to that, especially from this trailer. Like kind of Ken and Ryu are like aranged as well. Like that's that's also a thematic element that is in uh the animated movie where it's about them getting back together.
And there's also there's also like a lot of nods. Like they literally have let's just let the trailer play in the background. They literally have like several pieces of this trailer are like direct callbacks to the SF2 animated movie, which is like whoa, that's weird. I I I think some characterizations are a little funny, you know, like some characterizations like uh like Cammy seem a little weird. I'm like I wonder if that's what she's going to be like. She's not She's like a stoic killer, you know? And it's like, oh, they kind of they kind of like did something with her character a little bit.
So, I don't know. It's like I think the things that I that I dig about what we're seeing here, um I'm not seeing an astronomical amount of CG. I'm seeing like a ton of like wire work and like a ton of like actors are jumping around and [ __ ] you know? Like that that's kind of the thing that's getting me from what we're seeing so far in in like actual final footage now is that I'm seeing like people doing [ __ ] and I'm like, "Okay, some of it like is probably going to get like, you know, going to go through a process and editing and stuff like that." Yeah, there could be hidden CG all over the place, but they're not trying to go like really over the top until they do their big moves like Zangus moves and stuff like that.
I thought this scene was cool. This is one of my my favorite parts of the trailer, even though we cannot hear it. Uh is like Ken and Ryu getting back together or something like that and uh and they're like fighting to the music and they're like super pissed off at each other. Anyway, yeah, somebody had a great comment which is like, "Dude, they did not cast Zangi if they found him." And I'm like, "Yeah, yeah." And so, going back to what I was talking about, we I was super super worried when I saw some of the casting in this and I'm like, "What are they doing with this?" I could not tell like how cheesy they were going to go.
And I think this is my take on a Street Fighter movie. It's It looks super cheesy. And thank God because could you imagine if they tried to tell a Street Fighter story that is anywhere close to like featuring a lot of characters and it's not cheesy. Like there's I don't know if there's a way around it because it would effectively lose what Street Fighter is. And Street Fighter is cheesy. It's just it's always been ridiculously cheesy. So you almost have to like embrace that. You have to embrace that it's like this is ridiculous. It's a fighting game, dude.
And as long as like characters are sort of tied in and there's enough Here's here's the big one. It's actually got to have fighting, bro. Like, and I I don't want like vapid fighting. I like characters having character and there being like reasons for characters to do things, but like my Yeah. Like a greatest comparison is like the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie. It's mega cheesy. A lot of people nowadays don't like the MK95 movie and I'm like I don't get that because it's the perfect balance of fun and cheesy and actually as characters I want to see them win by the time it ends.
Like I want to see Johnny Cage win. I want to see Liu Kang win. I want to see these characters like get their comeuppins. You know what I mean? So to me it's like if you if you do this like grounded reality sort of thing. I don't know how you make that it it starts to get closer to like Legend of Chun Lee [ __ ] which is exactly what they did where they just they that's too cheesy. We can't do that. That's too cheesy. We can't do that. You know like all that kind of [ __ ] where it's it like and that's what that movie did where it's like oh this depiction of that character is too cheesy.
No no just put bison in a suit. Uh, no, no, no. That depiction of this character is too cheesy. No, just make him a cop. And it's like like I you're effectively losing the identity while trying to ground it. And I It's like you're embarrassed of the source material. And the one thing I dig about this is that it's not embarrassed by its source material. The people that are making it like clearly love it and the people that are like a part of it as I've talked to them like yeah, they're super into Street Fighter and [ __ ] Like a lot of them grew up with this stuff.
So, the one thing that I'm like actually wanting from a live action Street Fighter movie, chat, if there's one thing, even in Assassin's Fist, okay, if there's one thing that a lot of Street Fighter movies seemingly don't have a lot of, especially the live action ones, and I'm I'm not joking with you, if you if you look at this from like a wide angle, they don't have a lot of fighting. Like, no kidding. The majority of the 94 movie of Street Fighter the movie is characters like talking to each other throughout the first portions of the film, like the first three4s of the movie, and their fights get interrupted.
They're about to fight and they don't, and then something else happens. By the time the end of the movie happens, you get a big big fight scene and like, you know, action sequence with like Guile and Bison and stuff, but like there's not a lot of fighting. And then Legend of Chun Lee is like the same exact thing. And then Assassin's Fist gives you a little bit more, but it's slower. So, it really paces that stuff out, you know? So, it's like history. I mean, the only way to do this is that you got to move plot forward with fighting.
Like, yeah, if there's going to be like a lot of fighting in like an hour and a half, 2hour movie, whatever this is going to be, you have to like move the plot forward and have characters battle each other, right? And that's like the issue that Street Fighter has had outside of like animated movies is that there's just not a lot of goddamn fighting, dude. like they don't know how to tell to to tell story and move forward with fighting and there's there's a few other movies that do that really good like the Matrix and [ __ ] like that where it's like the the fighting is not just there for the hell of it.
It is there for you know actually moving plot forward. So the Raid is a great example of that like even movies without a ton of dialogue and [ __ ] Um anyway I have high hopes. I feel like I'm even I feel like I I'm even more critical. And I was like, I'll be real even when I was talking to like producers and directors and like choreographers and all that kind of stuff, like really nice people that were that were honestly more receptive when we had things to say in like criticism of some stuff or like talking about like that doesn't line up and they're like, "Oh, tell us how like what's going on?" So they were actually like very adamant about learning about that stuff if something didn't line up with expectations or feelings or that kind of thing, you know.
Um so that was nice. It wasn't a moment where we were just like going in and being like everything's awesome, you know, thanks for making this and and they're like, uh they were actually very curious about hearing like a multitude of feedback. So um it's cool, man. I just want to see more. everything that I was privy to was pretty much like behind the scenes stuff and actually seeing it like in in a in a completed piece is very cool. So anyway, I'm just looking forward to it. I'm just looking forward to it. We got a couple of big movies that are coming out now that are fighting game movies and it feels like they're taking kind of similar approaches to both of them.
So they're not really afraid of their source material at all. They're just leaning into it. and you get all this you get you get characters wearing costumes that are literally just Street Fighter costumes and it's like man and I feel like that is just a throwback to like the '9s era of like Street Fighter and stuff. It's just yeah don't shy away from that [ __ ] you know? Just just lean into it and don't be afraid of the source material. Just like embrace it, you know? Anyway, I'm just really happy that I saw chat. Check this out.
Uh Akuma stuff. I I hate slowing down trailers. Hold on a second. I hate like dissecting movies before we watch them, but there was a part in here that is the craziest callback. Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. Where is it? Uh, it's at the beginning. There is an absolute insane throwback. Uh, early on in this trailer, I had I put it on Twitter cuz I saw it on Reddit and I was like, "No [ __ ] way." Like, are they paying attention that hard? Um, check this out. This is one of the nuttiest Easter eggs I think in Street Fighter history.
Does anybody know what they're looking at? Does anybody know? Like, does anybody know what character assassination means? In the original Street Fighter the movie chat, Street Fighter the movie, uh, Ken and Ryu are like drug dealers and they're like hustlers and this is them in their dealing outfits and for some reason at some point in the trailer there's a throwback picture of Ken and Ryu when they were like younger hanging out with each other and they're wearing the same outfits. Bro, that's crazy, dude. That is crazy. Yeah. Sorry. They're arms dealers, not drug dealers. They We can't have Ken and Rio being drug dealers.
It's been a long time since I've seen it. Um anyway, they're undercover. Yeah. But anyway, they were like cops or some [ __ ] It was weird. It was very weird that Chunley um Yeah. Anyway, cool call back. That's a That's a funny call back. That very Only nerds are going to notice. Only 40year-old dads are going to get that [ __ ] dude. only 40-year-old dads. And I I honestly feel like that's a big target demographic of the movie is that like, man, this movie is for dads. Dads are going to go in this [ __ ] Yeah. The kids are like, get down.
Like that kind of [ __ ] Little ass references all over the place. Either way, I think some in terms if I'm being critical of some things, yeah, some characterizations seem a little weird. Um, and I I do want to see like how fight scenes are integrated like into story and action because yeah, believe it or not, if it's a movie, I don't I just I don't want a movie just to throw references at my face constantly and just special moves and stuff. Like, I want I want to walk into a theater and give a [ __ ] about stuff.
So, that's the only thing I kind of want. I I'll be real. That's the only thing I want out of any [ __ ] movie is just to go into it and give a [ __ ] a little bit in the end where it's like, man, I really care about like Chun Lee going after Bison or whatever or I really give a [ __ ] about like Ken and Ryu like like something, you know, like something. Anyway, I won't talk about Alex. All right, Alex hopefully isn't in the movie. Just hopefully hopefully he's not in the movie. All right. All right.
That's uh that's all I got to say about the Street Fighter movie. I'm looking forward to it, dude. I think that I think that was a very effective trailer. I think that was a lot better than even the teaser. I think that was an effective trailer. We're missing Street Fighter music, though. We are missing They did use like '9s era '90s music, which is nice, but uh need some Street Fighter music. Yeah. I I need I need like we can I need some [ __ ] happening sometimes. They they stole the He-Man song, brother. They stole the He-Man song from He-Man.
That's crazy. The He-Man song didn't even make it into the He-Man trailer. It was at the end of the trailer, wasn't it? It seems okay. That move that movie seems okay. You're going to love Justin Wong's tweet about the movie. Uh, I got to see that. I got to see that. Did Did Jay get to tweet about it? Because they they said we can like share our our onset experiences. Um, hold on a second. No, Jay didn't even share anything yet. He just said, "If Chunley gets parried by Ken, I'm legit leaving the theater." I mean, why wouldn't that happen?
Why wouldn't that happen? That should happen at some point. That should happen at some point. Come on, dude. Please. They have to. There has to be a moment. There has to be a moment dedicated to that. Justin shamed in front of millions. God, man. They'll never they'll never beat the allegations. I think Boss Logic also did some of the the posters for these. These are fun, dude. I I saw some weirdass marketing that they were doing. Not really weirdass, kind of neat where they were putting up old looking retro fight posters of like a Street Fighter 2 tournament and they were going to locations in Japan, like bathous and stuff that look like Street Fighter 2 locations and like putting the poster up there and I was like, "Oh, they're putting flyers at different places around the world." And I'm like, "There's one in New York.
That's kind of that's pretty that's pretty connected. That's pretty cool, you know." Either way, I want to see the full movie. I want to see how it turns out. Game wallpaper from um Fentel Fantasy 7. It's about a character down on his luck. Fentinel Fantasy 7. Um Cloud, thanks for the five, dude. Any thoughts upcoming Resident Evil movie? I hope it's good. I hope it's good. Same thing for like Mortal Kombat. I just want to see it. I hope it's good. I just want to give a [ __ ] and have fun. You know that that is the ultimate dude.
I'm telling you, if I go into a movie, I don't need to change my life or anything. I just want to give a [ __ ] and have fun. Hail Mary. Godamn. The epitome of giving a [ __ ] and having fun. My god, bro. Like, come on. Just I just want to give a [ __ ] and have fun. That's it. That's it. That's my That's my movie goals nowadays. Um anyway, let before it gets too late, let's start up. Uh, do we have games? We have games to play. Uh, the folks for uh that were that made Mouse PI for higher hit me up like a few days ago and they were like, "Hey, um, do you want to check out the game?" I'm like, "Well, I was already planning to." So, you know, big shout out to uh, Playside Studios for sponsoring the stream and MousePI for Hire.
So, we're going to check out the game. Chat, if you want to learn more about this, it just came out. Uh, for those that have not seen it, I'm looking at the the brief of information on the game. The description of this game is a boomer shooter, an FPS boomer shooter. Um, it's being received pretty well right now and I've it's we've just been looking at this stuff in trailer form for like quite some time. Is that Troy Baker? Uh, we've been looking at it in trailer form for quite some time. Now you don't trust volume.
It is Troy B. Wow. Did I just um so yeah. I mean obviously the big thing about it is that like it's in the same spiritual vein as a lot of other like 2D handdrawn animated games. And as I'm looking at this, um, everything you see in this game is drawn by hand, frame by frame, in a bouncy rubber hose style, from weapons to NPCs to enemies to UI and more. Characters and weapons are in 2D, but the game's a first-person game, and the world is rendered in 3D. The team aimed to capture the look and feel of classic cartoons that your grandparents might have watched in the 1930s and 40s.
Damn. So, wait a minute. It's not even a boomer shooter. What is it? What comes before that? Uh, what comes what's before that? Gen X. No. Like, is that the the the the silent generation? Like, what? Which gen is that? It's the silent gen. Yeah. Anyway, damn. Getting carbon dated over here. Um, so yeah, full cast of characters and PCs and, uh, you know, it's out right now on PC, uh, on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S. So, yeah, we're just going to check it out. I wanted to do chat chat told me a funny thing that I should do.

Damn, this is like complete animated cut scenes. Tight lipped meat on sight. details later. Had to be someone big, recognizable. The kind that only says oops when they remember they're mortal, too. Some Noir. Legit noir. Maybe said turn back. Let this one go. That this case was more trouble than it was worth. But well, trouble is what I do. Where's my trench coat?
I don't have it with me. I don't have the old Bloodborne trench coat. Talk to Vonda. Jack, over here. What's this about? Wanda, care to toss me a cheesecrumb or are we doing our usual tugofwar? I can give you more than a crumb, Jack. I can give you a magician. A magician. What? Like some wacko waving a stale mozzarella stick in front of a bunch of bored middle-aged mice? Something like that. Mick Tracy. This one disappeared mid show right in front of a handful of surprised mice. Some say it's others. You know, I figured it might interest you.
Goes by the name Magnificent Bandal or whatever. Bandal as in Steve Bandal. One and the same. You know him? You could say that. All right, I'm going in. Hold your shirt back. You're not going to get past the yellow tape without cred or a pass here. But it's you in the picture. Let's just say the officer guarding the backstage is u intellectually innocent. Oh, you welcome back to the How's the gameplay feel so far? Um, very doomish. It's a boomer shooter. Unapologetic about it, you know, tell LT I'm wrapping things up now. But it doesn't have the progression, you know, of a a game like that. It's a noir, so it's also like murder mystery. H what in the I've I've done swimming in the first 15 minutes of the game.
Swimming. Smalltime actress found dead. looking around and wow. A damn it. Where's that darn key? I have it. Cute. This game was made by five people. That's impossible. Really? All right, let's get this over with. You know why? With like the mega squash and stretch, right? The uh the rubber hose style animation and the fact that the game is noir is extremely Who Framed Roger Rabbit, right?
Like it's extremely who framed Roger Rabbitish. An address book. Steve had an assistant and she lives code did the same thing with this camera. See great minds. Love cheese. an asteroid. Thank you. Treated you pretty good as a tree. I had a frog in a hat. Cute. Yeah, we need an extremely traumatic scene when Judge Doom drops the the poor little the poor little boot into the dip. Traumatic. Super traumatic. Have you watched Roger Have you watched Roger Rabbit in Black and White? It works a lot. I'm not I would not be surprised. Cool. Armored.
Oh [ __ ] Literally. Oh, get my ass kicked. Of course, flies always swarm rotten cheese, dude. I need guns. Okay, I need like a machine gun. To the stage of history. Somehow didn't fall. very generous on the saves. Movement inherently is very snappy. It's very fast. And I turned off the bobbing so it looks even more. That was a speed for sure. I've used that. One bullet to the stage of history. One bullet. Yeah. And it's also paced like an old school boomer shooter where like you get a bunch of resources after you clear a room, you know?
Like that's the idea is that like every room, every interaction is about like, okay, yeah, then refill, refill, go nuts, refill, go nuts. Uh, okay. These are getting more challenging. Refill, shoot, repeat. Yep. Look for secrets. Yep. There's one thing I definitely appreciate about Doom 2016 is that they they kind of proved that no, this is still fun. This is still hell of fun, you know, and now there's just like an entire genre. Boomer shooter is now a genre. Did I come from here? I don't think I did. Well, and look at that. Right, Kish?

Oh, these are law-abiding citizens. Damn. I love how Hey, watch it. When you turn, they turn with you. It reminds me of Sega Saturn. When you would run around environments in Sega Saturn, like a lot of the background elements couldn't be done in 3D, so they would be like, like, for example, Doom, uh, Mario 64, a lot of the plants and trees, they would just turn with you cuz they're 2D.
Yeah, billboarding is that that's the style. That's how the visual style is. coming through. Oh, wow. Never heard of patience. Ever heard a move? Yeah. Welcome to public transit, bub. That's too bad. They should definitely go down. Okay, this looks a lot faster than the preview. I wonder if game speed is attached somehow to difficulty because we're playing on the hard difficulty. Does it mean that the game's faster or is it the Is it the same speed in all the difficulties, chat? My god. Oh my god. Six dang life. One life and a partridge in a pear tree. Jesus bones. Yeah, this is the place. Now, which apartment was do fiddle? Give me my stuff. I'm still actually unsure what we use cash on. But we got a lot of it.
There's no way I missed any secrets, right? There's absolutely no way. surely Oh, you have a stamina gauge. Is that attached to boost as well? It is. It's not attached to jumping. No. No yellow paint to know it's indestructible. Exactly. I have no clue. Like literally, I need more yellow paint. I need more. What am I supposed to do without it? Or a blue door. Shut up, chat. I don't like these jokes anymore. What? I didn't know. Missed a few secrets. That's impossible. Literally impossible. Louise, lady, you're in peace. Is that your legs? I just can't pull myself together. Well, I mean, never mind. Uh, what happened to you? What you mean what happened? Well, not to double down on the joke, but you look uh, you know. A little broken up. Somewhat detached. I sure am. And I still have to find a new job. This is going nowhere. I'm looking for Steve. Well, who isn't? He went puff and now some mobsters or other are trying to get the money they lost on the show. I'm ruined. Is she romancable? Quit being weird, Going to hurt you anymore. All right. Any clue who'd want Steve, you know, disappeared.
Who wouldn't? But apart from the small gangs and the mobsters and the crazies and the girls and the police and the Okay. Okay. Okay. Let me let me just stop you right there. Which stage designer? The stage designer. He tagged along with Steve and his new buddies and did some gigs for them. He's working in the op promotion. I'm surprised the game doesn't have a lot of cursing. You could have started with that. The case stank of crime. Oh jeez. I had to go back to the office and figure out which you know yet. Yeah. And that's the thing is that if it's the 30s or the 40s or something like that, there actually wasn't a lot of it. It was very uncou, you know, when I was there.
Yeah, cursing didn't really exist yet. Damn weird television boxes. did I drop the frame rate for his stream too? For my stream? No, no, no, no. My my This looks great. This looks wonderful. Not much to go on, but I met Bandal's assistant. There's this stage designer scene. Roland who? Roland the stage designer. Nobody ever remembers his name, so they just call him the stage designer. quite the specialist. He can make anything from tiny shrewsized diaramas to huge catapults hurling limelights all over the stage. Well, that's something. Shame you didn't bring him up sooner. Could have saved me some time and bullets.
Jack. Jack. Hey, if I'd have known Roland was involved, I'd have told you. It's like the movie trailers. You only show spoilers after you've seen the Yeah. Well, either way, step one's charting what I've got. This mess won't organize itself. Prize dispenser. So, what's up, John? Oh, you know, same old, same old. Plenty folks drinking, not a whole lot of them paying. You want to bind or something? Oh, gods. No. And I ain't looking for no handout neither. They ain't crooks, Jack. Just broke as hell. Then why keep serving them cheese? You know, they'll just slap it on the tab and you will be waiting forever for the cheddar.
Ah, they're my folks mostly. Shrews, you know. And when you're lucky enough to open a bar, you look out for the little guy. Yeah, sure. But the little guy has to pay one day, right? Somebody's paying you for one. Yeah. Let me Let me see how immersive we can get it. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Graphics. Wait on it. Hold on. Hold on. Uh, there was definitely something. Film grain effect shake. Maybe not in here. There was a setting for it. I did see somewhere. You can add film grain edit screen bounds. That's just the edge.
yeah. Well, that's doing a pretty good job, but it's immersive in ways I don't like. So much diffusion. I'm diffused. Chill. And then watch this audio. Check this out. Somebody was saying, "Hey, can you make the the sound more oldtimey?" You actually can. Hey, I might be bite-sized, but I fight back. You can just like make the audio quality worse if you want. We go to celluloise cellulus disc. I know a thing or two about loose screws, but you're a whole damn junk drawer. want to have it be even worse. I need to set it now.
We set it to 360p. Oops, did I not save that one? Hold up. Cylinder black celluloid. Uh, pin your Vadale clues. Okay. Where's the uh the brush? Where's my house? Oh, this is pretty much opening up quests. Off to the opera then. stick that here. Gotcha. Cool. And now we have a lead. Cool. What are you doing over there? I'm going to get over there. Just not the kind that keep a stage of history.
Smashy smashy. Be a lot of guns in this. Where the hell am I going? Oh boy. it up, boys. What the hell? He liquefied into nothing. Oh my god. Oh god. Why? Why did that happen? Oh, wow. That was unintentional. Very unintentional. Okay. Well, that's exploded now. Okay. Can I reload? You guys like it with the old timey audio? Because I think I kind of do. Feeling a little stage fright creeping in. That's the game so far. It actually controls pretty well. It's very uh it's it is a boomer shooter, so it's very Doomlike. Again, if you guys want to learn more of the game, uh they were kind enough to sponsor the stream.
So, exclamation point mouse pi. There's a pinned link on the YouTube channel and there's also one on on Twitch. You can click the link to learn more about the game. It's out now on like PS5, Xboxes, uh Nintendo Switch 2, PC, all that stuff. Shotgun shells. We are full. Where the hell did they come from? Oh my god. I have no bullets in this thing. Froze. Okay, I was frozen today. Giving me a lot of shotgun ammo to work with right now. And dynamite. I'm assuming bad guy. Good guy. Oh, I was a bad guy.
Just situationally bad. Riders unite. Brother. Brother exploded. I think I uh accidentally switched to a much more dangerous gun. you God damn, these guys take some hits. Oh, then drink that. Drink up. Drink. Oh, don't worry. We will, m Doken. Believe it or not, from last night, I actually got the game running way better. So yeah, I pretty much got it running at like consistent 4K 60. It was the lighting mod. It was too taxing. Okay. Well, that's full of goop. I don't have the bullets for this. Dying. Uh, can't use that yet. I need I need health.
I think this one replenishes. 1 2 3 4. Okay, cool. Yeah. Uh, heals are like 20 like only 20 HP. Got to be careful. Almost there, Jackie. Son of a [ __ ] Oh, you got to be kidding me. Bam. Money. Are these regular bullets? Come on, give me those. ammo. I'm out of I don't have any ammo. Let me have it. There we go. Oh, no. That was for uh the shotgun. Oh. Oh, boy. I'm good, [ __ ] Leave me alone. Drinking here. Not exactly what I wanted to do, but you know, welcome to the stage of history.
I like it how he just grabs like an entire handful of shells and just shoves it in. Oh, this is going to lead to a secret 100%. It doesn't lead to a secret at all. Not a goddamn thing. You can't jump and dash. Tragic. Ah. Namaste, traveler. What brings you to this ancient place of learning? Little John. Thank you. The basement. Thanks as well. A brand new Whopper house. Semantics ain't going to get you across that death trap, chief. It's a shallow pit full of garbage. And look, pal, you want to learn or do you want to stand there flapping your gums?
I got deep. Can you add a filter to your mic to make it sound 1940ish? What would I do, chat? Would I add an EQ filter? Low pass. Now, listen closely. This here is an ancient technique passed down by a legendary stunt guru back in New Rderam. Changed my life. Cost me three ribs, but changed my life. Here's the deal. When you jump, just act like you didn't. Clear your mind. No thoughts, no fear, no gravity. Then when you forget you're midair, jump again. Works like a charm. Double jump. Got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Nah, that's dumb work, chief. The great wheel of infinite cheddar. You just got to believe. Now get out there and defy physics. No need to thank me. Sure. Why not? Certainly trusted worse. They fit it into the lore. Hold on a second. Um, I've got audio filters in OBS. Three band equalizer, compressor, expander, gain, invert polarity, limiter, noise gate. That's not going to do anything. Noise suppression upward compressor. I don't know. Band pass. I don't have that. I don't have a band pass. Not in OBS. I don't know if any of these are going to do it, personally speaking.
Oh. Oh, wait. Let me go back to that one spot. It's good, right? Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Maybe my brain was just too brainy for the moment. what? My brain was too brainy. I literally was thinking three steps ahead on accident. I discovered a thing that only really smart people would discover on accident. Yum. Yum. There's a flashlight. Huh. Ah, fire indeed hot. So much shotgun ammo. Chug. Back on track now with new tricks. Hey, that. Look at that cheese. All right, let's shut this thing down. Make it nice and useless. Jack Pepper saves the day and somehow starts an actor strike.
Whoa. What the hell? She's crazy. Must be some up. Stuff these things in there. Oh my god. What the hell? What just happened? What's she doing to me? take it down. I'm on fire. I'm on fire. I'm on fire. Oh, she pushes me into the fire and it resets. One life. God. Oh, they don't let me use uh dynamite. Oh boy. Oh boy. take it down much. Come. Uh, cool. That was fun. Oh, this place is lit. Ow. Damn. Crap. I'm chugging. They're extra dead. Like super extra dead. Convenient typewriter. Hot hot. This one's for you.
Dude, stop shooting me. I'm getting kicked out. What? Please. Slowly dying. Never anything inside these boxes, man. Almost there. Toasted. Is this a safe or an oven? It looks like an oven. Forget about it. I'm just going to solve this while everything's on fire. Don't worry about it. Means it's really going to be worth cash. So close and yet no cheesestick. A better end for a private. Leave the drama for the pros. Eh, just give me a second. Thanks, pal. I almost got roasted back there. Nah, it comes with the territory. You step on stage, you get roasted.
Anyway, you saved my skin back there from those extras. So, uh, quit proquo. Told you they weren't extras. These were real bad guys with real bad intentions. Now, about Bandal. Look, detective, I'd love to help, but I I don't know much. We mostly just knock back cold ones downtown. Besides, it's not like he hasn't gone off the grid before. Not like this. Not mid-performance. Steve doesn't just vanish. He orchestrates it. Turns it into a spectacle. This Steve, this is different. I've known him a long time. We went through hell together back in the old world.
Wait. Damn. You're the Jack Pepper, the trench sweeper, the I'm touched, but let's not do the highlight reel now. Okay. Look, you don't know where he is. Fine. But you got to know something. Where he goes, what he's into lately. Well, he's been keeping to himself mostly. Doubt he's ever brought anyone home from tinsils. But when he's had a few pulp fonds, he gets into some real fringe esoteric crab. Even mentioned having a lab under his mansion, so secrecy on it. Secret lab, huh? Sounds like a long shot, but you know where that mansion is.
Sorry, detective, but he's been worryingly private, selective about who gets close. Yeah, figures. Thanks for the intel, stage designer. Yeah, good luck. And bring Steve back. I had my next stop lined up, but not a clue where it was. That was a neat level. I dug it. secrets. No secrets. Face cam is different. No, it's not. It's normal. It's completely normal. You got to go back. Yeah. What's with the boat? Wonder if the boat is like Wow, look at all these different parts of town. Roadhouse. Is that is that the mission we started on? Arrow 84.
Thank you. The stage of history. Haven't seen Steve in ages. No idea where he's been living these days. Best I just start laying down the clues. Boom stick. Um, all on dynamite. Is this what I spent my money on? Newspapers. I wonder what these are good for cards. Are these like new mechanics? Like new abilities? Interesting. Oh, do I literally have extra healing that I haven't been noticing? Is that what cheese is? Money can be spent on the card game as well. Ah, yeah. What are the newspapers for? I'm kind of curious. And give the car a proper wash.
I'll be here for a bit. Corny. What's he doing here? Too stilted. Yeah, I don't know. Mini games at the bar. Jack Wanda. So, I hear you made quite a scene. Yeah, tell me about it. On the contrary, my dear Pepper, you tell me. What'd you uncover amidst your big stage debut? Well, turns out our missing magician has No, no, you have to aim. It doesn't auto aim for you. You have to hit the shots. Get this. At least on hard. Apparently, this scoundrel has a secret lab. Oh, where is it? Sorry, chat. His mansion.
At least that's what this stage designer claims. Well, what are you standing around for then? Go sniff out some clues. Spoiled cheese, evil lab rats, whatever you can dig up. You're not my boss. Right. There are new characters here. Is it you? It is you. Match begins. It's split into two innings divided into five rounds. In the first inning, you play as the batter. The second the pitcher. Huh? Oh no. I'm not going to get this. I'm the batter. You automatically drop to five cards. A full hand. Your opponent plays one of their player cards.
If you're a battle, if you're a batter, they play a pitcher. And vice versa. If they have it in a hand, your opponent can also play a second card, tactical, which boosts the selected player's abilities. So, you have to play pitcher first. You can now play cards from your hand at the bottom of the screen. One player and one tactics if you have one. So, may also discard the selected card to Oh, I don't want to dis Hold up. Chill. Um, and replace it with an increased chance of drawing tactics. Your turn only ends once you've selected and confirmed the player card.
Okay. I would do like uh a six and two batter speed boost. Right. It seemed like I play two or do I play one? Yeah. Play. There we go. Pitcher throws the ball and the batter takes a swing. If the batting If the batting skill is higher, the pitching skill, batter hits the ball and becomes a runner heading from the nearest base. If tactics are in use, their values are added to the relevant ability. If batting and pitching skill ends up equal, the outcome is decided by a coin toss. I missed it. What happened? That happened so fast.
He had seven. That happened so fast. Uh power swing. Six. Strike. God damn it. I'm losing. God damn you. Power play. All right. I win. Runners on the field will move a number of bases equal to their speed skill. Speed is uh speed's at the bottom. Yeah. Current pitcher fielding skill. If the batting skill is much higher than the pitching skill, the batter hits a home run. Damn. Okay, I'm on second. Okay, card baseball down to dice. So, I get speed boost as well. Aaron Vorhees, thank you. So, he's at a four. this and a power swing.
I win. Base is loaded. playing as the pitcher, right? I think I get it. So, you don't know what they're going to what they're going to put up at the start, right? Piece of [ __ ] piece of [ __ ] This is the Doom like game. It is, but there's like mini games. Nice. I just won. Damn it. Nine. Oh my god. What is that cheap That's crazy. A nine. Where'd you get these cards, bro? Jesus. How you supposed to win? the buy them or find them. Yeah. Eight. Bro, if you beat him by like three, you just get home runs.
This is crazy. Our freeto play deck is insane. God damn. Okay, I get it. It's just tough as nuts. It's tough as nuts. Uh hello. What's for dinner? Oh, this guy's actually Oh, it's a figurine. Whoa. He had my eyes and I wasn't leaving without him. That's cute. That was so animated. 30s Funkos. Better believe it. Chad, do you know what it was like to collect Funko Pops in the 30s? That was when they were truly great. Only I would know. Jack, good to see you, buddy. Likewise, Cornelius. You are in a surprisingly good mood for someone who just dodged an assassination attempt.
Oh, well, comes with a territory when you're chasing high office. While that whole affair at the opera was most unfortunate, it was ultimately good for business. No kidding. How so? Ah, you were a real wild card, my boy. Quite the the performance as always. You put those goons right in the spotlight. And now they're ducking for cover. Good for me. Great for the poles. him. But um what were you doing there in the first place? Chasing a magician who vanished off script. Boom. Gone. Not just any magician either. The magician. Steve Bandal. Like a wind.
And now I'm stuck following a trail of stale blue cheese crumbs. Most interesting. So what did you find? Not much so far. Just running down places he might have slipped off to. You got any ideas? Oh, I know Steve's hangouts. All right. Of course you do. Better yet, I think I know just the one you're after. He did some uh soul searching at that mansion on the outskirts of Mber. The address here. Why, Cornelius, you just made my job a whole lot easier. Well, you did save my life after all, Yeah, more than once. I didn't even realize it was raining.
Head to Bandel's secret lab. Let's go. Yo, Gabriel TV, Desertter Headwind, Sukoi, Tokyo, uh Aaron, thanks again, man, for the gift sub. Ty Rants, uh, Srirachapon, Vander, Aaron Vorhees again. Thanks for the seven months. Arrow 84, Iron Pony, Castanza Closet, and Lil John. Appreciate it, dudes. Where are we going? Uh, it's over here. It's crazy that we have like multiple like relatively like decently sized budgeted games that are completely like handdrawn mostly like handdrawn 2D affairs, you know, bizarre and like both of them are in my radar within a very short period of time of each other.
Double A gems. Yeah, pretty much. Chinia, thank you very much. Those are the 10 gift subs. Awesome. This is the place. Itchy and scratchy land. According to Corny, the entrance should be around here somewhere. Itchy and scratchy land. Thanks, Felinia. Good dodging, chat. That's right. I had double jump. I don't need to do dash craziness. cult members. Where the hell did those lunatics crawl out from? Suddenly RE4. Hey, this is definitely a secret, right? I'm up here now, though. But I'm up here now, though. God damn it. Wait a minute. No, I'm breaking boundaries here, man.
I'm breaking boundaries. Oh, I want to go in the in the waterfall. That was the beginning. An outouse. Welcome I'm assuming cheese is just Holy flush. We're moving. Morius V. Ma Stevie boy, what exactly were you up to? Think I can shoot through there? My boot. Don't mind me just looting. No, no, the discord. Follow the right cable, Jack. Oh my god, these guys have I was like, how am I supposed to How am I supposed to They're 2D. I'm like, wait a minute. It showed me a side animation. I was like, oh, okay, cool.
Wait, how am I supposed to I can't literally walk behind you. You exist on one plane. Yum, yum. Ah, kick the shield. That's impossible. There's no way the solution for that would be that simple. It has to be extremely complicated in ways that only I can solve. God uh secret. Yeah, it is just with the D-pad. It's easier. Whoa. What in the hell the hell am I looking at? Ah, secrets. No, I'm on fire. Uh, follow the wire. Not over there. Big button. Let's dip. What the hell does this thing do? Is it literally a dip gun?
It is. That's insane. It's varnish. Welcome back to the stage of history. No silence. Stop it. Ow. Bros, get away from me. Now get You get unique death animations. Yeah, I love it. Dev Varnisher. me. Not the dip. That was one point of health. Smok and cured special pepper D. I'm in heat. Take a bite and feel the burn. Extra. What the hell? Is that what that is? Oh, don't tell me I got to get that running again. The song will Zombie. You shoot this [ __ ] Hold on to this. God sounds holy. Listen. Fire indeed not.
I ate a spicy pepper. I ate a spicy pepper. I don't know what it does to me. I don't know. I ate a spicy pepper and then I died. That didn't seem like a good It seemed like maybe a good idea and then it was an extremely bad idea. Excuse me. Spicy pepper bad. Very bad. Oh, I can use my cheese. Damn, bro. I keep forgetting I have like an entire backup health system. I got a whole wheel. This a crazy road. No signs, only silence, only four. Does this just cook them until they die?
We're working here. Find me. Huh? Working here. Dude, what? You're still alive? Who is that? Sans and Supreme. Thank you. And Vash the Dash. Welcome back. Definitely get hit a lot. Uh I'm looting. Let me loot. We're good. Oh, what the absolute ladies and gentlemen. What sort of devil's trickery is this? Experimenting. Does he have like a shield block in his [ __ ] Ah, hold up. he's taking life. He's taking away any of that. Oh, there's glass. Jesus Christ. Come on, get the dot. Exterminate. Hold on to all this [ __ ] Uh cheese getting shocked. Eat the cheese.
That's a relevant stick. This thing looked an awful lot like Steve's old stage girl. That went out well. Interesting boss. Has your brain started filling in the color? Yeah, you forget it's black and white. Well, yeah. I mean, when you're focused on the game play, you know, it's funny like visual stuff, you fill in a lot of the blanks. Damn, I loaded now. Master Who's talking? master, would you kindly? Eigor over here. His literal name is Igor. I mean, master. I'm not your master. Everyone's someone's master. Okay. So, who the hell are you? I'm E I not Igore.
No, Eigor. Touche. Why so many Rs? It's harder to pronounce, as the classics would say. These references are going to get old real fast. Oh, they must endure. There's plenty more where that came from. I can only imagine. Now, seriously, who are you? I'm the caretaker, master. Or well, I was. My former master's gone, so now it's just me. Gone? Like gone? Gone. Oh, no. No. Just he's not here. Makes the lab a tad lonely. Apart from the crazy cultists or the robo assistants or that eerie creeping sense of foreshadowing that somewhere along the way your cheese brain's going to get fried.
Oh, master. What? That a premonition. Oh, don't mind me, master. Just rambling, babbling. Do your thing. Maybe sweep the floors while you're at it. I am sweeping here. That's not quite what I had in mind. So, uh, I'll be going, Eigore. He's just yapping. Do visit more often, master. We can hang out anytime you want. Can I turn my frame rate down? No. Oh, I'm sure we'll get along. Just split. Does the game look bad? Is the Is the game over there? Is that looking bad? You're telling me that looks bad? No. I actually got a new camera.
What do you What do you think of it? I Oh, damn. The illusion. Oh, damn. Now I think it looks good. Yeah. No, ignore that. Ignore Ignore the man behind the curtain. Don't worry about the illusion. Loot in here. Search the lab complex. What was the uh Where the hell are you going? Where in the hell is that? A secret. Yeah. Crank up projector's power. Hold on to this. Okay. Or not. Just shoot the [ __ ] out of me. Like literally shoot me six times. How about that instead? I need to go back for healing now.
Okay, that definitely did something. Right. What was up here though? Whole bunch of nothing. Yo, Born Stellar makes kodama oceans wake. Gary, good job. Appreciate it, dudes. Welcome back to the stage. A lot of people made this that really gave a [ __ ] you know? At least that's the vibe I'm getting out of it. There's so much like small flourishes all over the place that it's kind of insane. So many like hand animated flourishes. This looks like a game that was made in Unity. Does anybody know? most likely. Right. Oh, that's Terpentine. Oops. Yep. It was Unity.
It looks like a Unity game. Fumi Games is in Poland as well. Wow. Crazy how Poland is has so many like devs out of nowhere, you know? Published by Australians. Really? Australian publisher made in Poland. On Unity stage of history. They have public funding. Weird. Government fund. Really? Mega elixir. Thank you. That'd be crazy. You get into game development and you literally get like government assistance to make things. You know, that's happening a lot in um in China right now, I think. Right. That's why there's so many like big Chinese games. I think they get help from so many different places where like they're literal like the country is literally trying to incentivize the creation of like media like like global media trying to like help the market in some way.
Uh-oh. Do I have this? I do. Yeah. Canada I Canada Canada has been that way for a very long time. It's why most of the film industry moved to Canada, bro. Well, it's working. Whatever it is, huh? The nerve to die here. Can you imagine what a filthy? He whined about a drunk shrew spilling string cheese hooch all over the carpets. One thing he said piqued my interest. And not just one. I'd stomach one fill thy shrew, but he had a buddy. Barely made it to the lift. And the smell, I tell you. We're going to need a Viv video on this game.
We need a Vidia video. Where's it at? He can tell us the lore of the hooch. Oh, that's doing its thing now. Hooch is a funny ass word, chat. That's a funny ass word. Back to the projector room. That one. Which one was the projector room? This one? No. No. Uh, give me the feed. What? You You're drunk. Oh, it was down here. This opened up. Gotcha. Another one. Please tell me they didn't go for the rule of three. No, no, no, only last. Ouch. I got to do this to this. retreat. working here. Oh my god, she's stuck me.
Oh, these exploded. Yikes. Mine's already gone, sweetheart. Cool. Bosses are fun. Heal up. Kicking [ __ ] and drinking. Where to now? Frog in there. Investigate the secret secret lab. Hell of a mess, Steve. That really stuns them and also kills them. What does the hot pepper do? I'm not too sure to be completely honest. Room. Wasn't entirely sure what the hot pepper did. Okay, I can't go down there, but Oh joy out of here, robots. Itchy and scratchy robots. [ __ ] you're behind a door. Plant that for me. This gun seems very good. You know What the?
Wow, that was kind of neat. no loot yet. We're good. Wait. Heal. Heal. Please, God. Now, is this one of those moments in life when my endless plumbing repairs actually pay off? why does this one seem suspiciously easy? What the heck? Why is it one so easy? The hely had a lead. A shaky one. Yeah, but still a lead. These probably all make one big book in the end. Big ass book. Also shooting at me. And we're going over there. Now, why do I get the I'm just doing Where we were before? No entry yet.
Hey. Y. Welcome back to stage. This looks like the final stretch of that damn lab. There's got to be some evidence here. I mean, we've seen plenty. Mega Trojan, thank you. How's the game so far? Pretty Yeah, it's pretty polished. It's pretty polish as well. Welcome back to my history. Oh my god. Really? Really, dude? Ink. Like how he like didn't…
